The PC Gaming Alliance (PCGA) has released two reports that highlight growth in the PC gaming market, despite tough competition from consoles, tablet computers, and smartphones.

Analyst David Cole cited the Chinese market as a big factor in the strong growth of PC gaming in 2012, which was up eight percent on the year before. China accounted for $6.8 billion of the $20 billion revenue brought in globally in this sector.
