Muitas destas noticias que têm saído devem-se à pressão das produtoras, são elas as maiores interessadas em acabar com esta liberdade que o Netflix possibilita.
Muito provavelmente fica tudo em águas de bacalhau, é só para acalmar as hostes.

Matt Groening to Create Animated Comedy Show For NetflixNoticia:
Simpsons co-creator, Matt Groening revolutionized television and made it acceptable for adult audiences to watch cartoons. The Simpsons became renowned for its lovable characters, emotional storylines and remarkable comedy. While the show hasn’t been that great in recent years, older episodes still hold up remarkably well. Of course, the incredibly talented writer, and artist went onto produce, Futurama, which is one of my favourite programmes of all-time. I particularly enjoy the obscure mathematical references and over-the-top characters like Calculon! According to Deadline, Groening is set to create a brand new animated comedy for Netflix in addition to working on The Simpsons.
As you might expect, details are pretty sparse, and no-one currently knows what the new show will entail. However, this is just another example of Netflix expanding on their exclusive line-up and attempting to procure more subscribers. During the last couple of years, streaming video content has posed a legitimate rival to traditional television broadcasts especially among the younger demographic. It’s always going to be an impossible task to produce a show which comes close to matching the impact of The Simpsons. Nevertheless, Groening’s history is flawless despite Futurama being cancelled far too many times.
Are you looking forward to seeing something new from Matt Groening?

Marvel announces Jessica Jones will receive a second seasonNoticia:Marvel's Jessica Jones was one of my favorite shows of 2015, but Netflix has now announced that it has been renewed for a second season.
The second season of Jessica Jones will include 13 new episodes, which will be aired sometime later this year, hopefully. The second season of Daredevil is right around the corner, with it dropping onto Netflix on March. Showrunner Melissa Rosenberg said: "She ends in a very different place than she started off. She's still going to be Jessica Jones — that is not going to change. She will continue to drink and make mistakes and accidentally drop people onto train tracks, but something has changed for her by the end of this season, and I'd just love to explore that in the second season".

Netflix will be spending $6 billion on content throughout 2016
Noticia:Netflix has made huge waves in the last year or so, and especially with gigantic hits like House of Cards, Orange is the New Black, and Marvel's Daredevil and Jessica Jones.
Well, the streaming content giant is committing a huge $6 billion over 2016, which should secure itself as the leader in streaming content. During the Television Critics Association press tour, Netflix Chief Content Officer Ted Sarandos said: "Is there too much TV?" he asked, adding "I'll pause for a second", knowing that reporters would want to note down his next quote: "We don't think there's too much TV. And if there is too much TV, someone else is going to have to slow down, because we have big plans for 2016 and beyond".
Sarandos said that Netflix will have over 600 hours of original content in 2016, adding that 2016's budget is huge. He said: "We're going to spend in 2016 about $5 billion dollars on content on a P&L basis, which means about $6 billion in cash. We are running a global network, one that is not easily comparable either in business or cultural terms ... We're not courting advertisers, because we're not targeting a single demographic".

Netflix is getting serious on VPNs, Tor and other proxy useNoticia:If you're someone who uses a VPN, Tor or another proxy network to get around the region blocking on Netflix - you won't be allowed to do that for much longer. Considering Netflix is a powerful player, spending $6 billion in 2016 on original content, you'd think they'd want to keep as many consumers as happy as they can.
Netflix lawyers who write up content licensing agreements with studios and networks think that region blocking makes sense, but to those of us in the real-world, it doesn't. As Boing Boing writes "We just want to be able to watch the stuff we love, wherever and whoever we are".
According to Netflix's Vice President of Content Delivery Architecture, David Fullagar, "If all of our content were globally available, there wouldn't be a reason for members to use proxies or 'unblockers' to fool our systems into thinking they're in a different country than they're actually in". He added: "In the meantime, we will continue to respect and enforce content licensing by geographic location".

Netflix Adds More Subscribers Than Expected; Shares RiseNoticia:While NBC and the other big broadcast networks are all busy playing the ratings game, Netflix just keeps doing its thing and adding subscribers by the millions in the process.
Video-streaming service Netflix Inc's quarterly subscriber additions topped its expectations, boosted by strong international growth, sending its shares up 8 percent in extended trading. Netflix, known for its original shows such as "House of Cards" and "Orange is the New Black", said it added 5.59 million subscribers in the three months ended Dec. 31, higher than its forecast of 5.15 million.

Netflix Price Hike For Grandfathered Members Coming SoonNoticia:Just a reminder that Netflix members like myself, that still only pay $7.99 per month, are facing a price hike soon. It's only two bucks so it's not like a big deal or anything, especially since everyone else has already been paying $8.99 to $9.99 for more than a year already.
In its fourth-quarter letter to investors, Netflix NFLX, -0.68% said it will release a substantial number of those subscribers from their grandfather clause. That means they’ll have a $2 increase in their subscription if they want to keep the standard service, or otherwise sign up for the lower-tiered $7.99 service that streams video in standard definition on one screen. The company didn’t specify a date, but said it will happen through the second and third quarters.
