Halo: Master Chief Collection is still broken on the Xbox One

Microsoft and 343 Industries released Halo: The Master Chief Collection onto the Xbox One some four months ago now, but even to this day, the game is still broken. Matchmaking and lobby systems still don't work, and this is a serious problem.

There have been countless problems found in the game, various patches, and game breaking bugs that have plagued the game since launch. But don't worry, it gets better. 343 Industries has created an achievement in the game called "Stick With It" that awards players for sticking with the game. Except, this achievement is also buggy, and won't unlock.

343 Industries shares update on The Master Chief Collection

343 Industries has gone ahead and shared some stats gathered from January’s Halo 5 multiplayer beta and has also provided an update on the future of The Master Chief Collection, which still needs some stability updates and fixes for multiplayer.
First up, during the Halo 5 beta, there were more than six million sniper kills and 1.6 million rocket launcher kills. There are a few more notes, detailing top matches and a few other things, which you can see in full on Halo Waypoint.

As far as The Master Chief Collection goes, the next update is now complete and will be pushed out soon, improving stability and hopefully fixing matchmaking once and for all.
A new playlist is also coming to the game’s multiplayer called ‘Team Ball’, this will be a collection of Team Oddball and Ricochet variants from across all four Halo games in the collection.
SWAT and Sniper playlists may also come back in to rotation soon and may even become permanent additions to the multiplayer following the popularity.

The long awaited Halo matchmaking patch is now available

It is pretty common knowledge by now that 343 Industries botched the launch of the Halo Master Chief Collection for the Xbox One late last year. It has taken a long time to fix but the matchmaking patch has finally landed and should hopefully fix the bulk of the multiplayer issues.
Highlights from the update include improvements to party stability, matchmaking times, shot registration and aim assist fixes.

Here are the full patch notes, taken from Halo Waypoint:

    • MATCHMAKING
    • Made a variety of updates to improve matchmaking performance and success rates
    • Improved matchmaking search times/time to match
    • Improved stability throughout the matchmaking process across all titles.

    • PARTIES
    • Improved party stability

    • HALO 2
    • Made improvements to multiplayer shot registration
    • Improved campaign stability across a variety of levels
    • Addressed stability issues for matchmaking and custom games
    • Fixed issues around resuming H2A Campaign from “remastered” mode
    • Improved medal display consistency

    • HALO: CE
    • Fixed issues regarding aim assist which resulted in the reticle being pushed away from an enemy
    • Improved shot registration consistency between host / client in peer-to-peer custom game matches
    • Resolved a variety of UI inconsistencies, including team color randomization, medals, and in-game scoreboard display

This patch should hopefully fix the state of the game, which has faced heavy issues since its launch in November last year.

Guy Pulls off a ‘One-in-a-Million’ Snipe in Halo

A Halo player by the name of Lawrencce 1 apparently made the most ridiculously amazing shot in Halo, and probably even in the history of gaming. You can watch the footage below.

And this is what he had to comment about it:
“Of course the kill was intentional!! I accurately predicted the spawn of the player after I killed him for the first time, knew exactly where he was positioned when he shot at me and therefore deliberately ricocheted the bullet of three surfaces to take him out, it was very simple really!
…That was a joke of course, I am well aware that this kill was probably the luckiest I’ve ever seen on Halo. I got the kill and initially thought that it was nothing more than a decent no-scope, but when I later reviewed the footage in theatre mode, it turns out that the bullet ricocheted THREE times before landing in the head of the opposition player. I know that I was incredibly fortunate and the only purpose of this video is to entertain, I am not professing to be anything more than a slightly-less-than-averagely skilled Halo player, I play the game for fun and for moments such as this one! Thanks very much for watching, hope you enjoyed! “
Judging by his comment, he does indeed agree this was one of those epic moments when a shot is fired at the exact spot and time. Even so, the shot is truly amazing!
Thank you Kotaku for providing us with this information

April Update for Halo: The Master Chief Collection Detailed

343 Industries is coming into April hot, with a new trailer for their upcoming Halo 5: Guardians and now they’ve announced the new update for Halo: The Master Chief Collection. They aren’t letting off the pedal just because of the Halo 5 hype, in fact they’re just as dedicated than ever to bring the best Halo experience ever.

The April update for Halo: The Master Chief Collection will include penalties for quitting, improvements to ranking and more.

Even though 343 Industries has released their debut collection last year and Halo 5: Guardians is expected just around the corner, they aren’t going to let the development and improvement of their halo product (pun intended). The newest April update details have emerged on the Halo Waypoint blog.
Some of the big changes to Halo: The Master Chief Collection will be the addition of penalties for quitting a match as well as for betrayals. This should help to prevent those that are a little more serious about the game from exiting when the going gets a little too tough, as well as from killing teammates and such. Also there will be some unspecified improvements to the ranking system, hopefully making ranking up a little bit more achievable for the casual players like myself.

Also expect to see updates to the map playlists as well. They’ve seen fit to help bolster competition by limited the number of players per playlist, and will most certainly be updating and re-adjusting those for the newest content update.
Based on results and feedback, we’ll be looking to update team sizes and player counts across existing and upcoming playlists, including Team Doubles, as we get closer to the next update. Lastly, SWAT and Team Snipers will both make a return into the rotation in the near future, and we’ll continue to evaluate playlist data to determine which playlists become permanent additions.
Despite the horrible multiplayer accessibility upon the release of Halo: The Master Chief Collection, it still remains among the top games I actually want to play on my Xbox One, provided I can get the matchmaking to work and actually enter a game. But all of those issues seem to be water under the bridge.

Microsoft Delivers ‘Halo 3: ODST’ To Long-Suffering ‘Master Chief Collection’ Gamers

Owners of Halo: The Master Chief Collection for the Xbox One can now download Remnant, a re-imagined version of the Halo 2 multiplayer map, and Halo 3: ODST, Microsoft and 343 Industries announced. The latter was previously promised as part of an apology for the many problems that plagued the massive Halo collection from day one.

For this release, the Halo 3: ODST campaign has been enhanced and runs in 1080p at 60 frames per second for the first time. It's a free add-on for players who logged into their Xbox Live account and played Halo: The Master Chief Collection between November 11, 2014 and December 19, 2014 -- eligible users should check their Xbox One inbox for a download code. Those who don't qualify can pick it up from the Xbox Store for $4.99.

The remastered Halo 3: ODST doesn't come with any multiplayer modes. Per Microsoft's FAQ, "Our focus is enhancing the Campaign for Halo 3: ODST, including it within Halo: The Master Chief Collection, and ensuring it delivers a great experience on Xbox One in 1080p and 60fps. It does not include the Firefight game mode and contains the Campaign only."

For most, Halo 3: ODST is a welcome treat after being frustrated with Halo: The Master Chief Collection's busted online game play. And for others, it's adding salt to the wound, at least initially -- there are reports online that downloads are getting stuck at 99 percent or 100 percent, which seems isolated to users living in the U.K.

As an added treat, Microsoft and 343 Industries collaborated on a developer walkthrough featuring the latter's senior game designer, Max Szlagor and original Halo 3: ODST developer Joseph Staten. You can check it out in the nearly 10-minute video above.

Halo Zombies – Might be Coming to Xbox One and the Master Chief Collection in Future Update

Zombies are quite the icon in today’s society. We see the zombie integrated into scores of different products and media types. They’re also something of a beloved symbol in video games. Black Ops, Black Ops 2, Advanced Warfare and Black Ops 3 all had, or have, a zombie mode or story line.
Halo 3 and 4 also had a multiplayer zombie modes, and those zombies might be stumbling ever so frighteningly over to the Master Chief Collection on the Xbox One very soon.
    The Flood from Halo 4

Zombies might invade as the next game mode update to Halo: The Master Chief Collection on Xbox One.

It was just a mere blurb in the Waypoint update, but it looks like 343 Industries is interested in bringing the zombie horde to the Xbox One, reviving that classic survival mode.
“The playlist team continues to work on future updates, and it’s quite likely that we’ll be talking more about things like Infection in the coming weeks.”
Unfortunately there’s no word on when we’ll see this, but when it does arrive it won’t simply be the same, but perhaps another evolution on the popular game type. They’ve done well to remaster existing

Halo 4’s Flood multiplayer mode, in addition to the Infection gameplay mode in Halo 3, were huge hits with the community. They themselves were modeled after a popular player made game mode that made it’s way into Halo 2.
Halo 3’s Infection challenged you to not get infected by the Alpha Zombies, ending when everyone was infected. You can be a zombie, but only when you become infected.
Flood, the follow on from Halo 4, increases that tension by having you attempt to survive for a given amount of time against other player controlled zombies, a new mechanism introduced here.
Do you think that a zombie mode will help increase interest in Halo: The Master Chief Collection? Would you feel compelled to try it just for the undead creatures?

É precisamente esta versão que ando a jogar. Terminei o Halo 1 e 2, estou agora no 3.
