Sony to try PlayStation gaming on mobile again with ForwardWorks

Sony isn't finished restructuring their PlayStation brand it seems. The latest move by the Japanese company has formed a new division that's sole focus is to bring back PlayStation-esque gaming to the mobile space.

The idea, it seems, is to be able to provide full-fledged console-type gaming with complex character interactions and an overarching narrative to mobile phones, tablets and any other mobile or connected devices. The wording even suggests making another app to act as a hub for those experiences. It also suggests that this will be, again, limited to their own devices. It looks like they're ready to re-enter this arena again, and with a whole new strategy.

Of course this is well after the actual PlayStation mobile app, which contained targeted and optimized games and was available only on certain Sony handheld devices, has been shut down. This seems to be another effort to expand past the PlayStation Vita and into a broad mobile strategy, something that Nintendo has opted to do as well. One would hope that they would extend the compatibility to include more than just Sony branded devices, maybe even having soft requirements to play certain games to ensure that the best experience is had. It's likely that they've re-evaluated their stance after reviewing the popularity of even the Kim Kardashian game and other segments.

Tendo em conta que os dispositivos móveis são quase tão poderosos como as consolas, acho que a Sony só tem a ganhar se entrar nisto com os seus jogos.

Sony Looking To Make Mobile PlayStation Games

The days of needing to go visit and arcade to play video games have long since past, you don’t even need to be at home in front of your TV thanks to mobile gaming consoles like the 3Ds and PS Vita. The most common platform to play games on those is the very same thing you have in your pocket, your smartphone. With this in mind, it looks like Sony is looking to make mobile games in order to benefit from the new market.
Smartphones these days can be used for everything from Clash of Clans to being used in virtual reality systems like Google cardboard. In order to fill a gap in their market, Sony has created the ForwardWorks Corporation, which will begin working on April 1st, 2016.
In their release statement Sony state that:

“ForwardWorks will leverage the intellectual property of the numerous PlayStation dedicated software titles and its gaming characters as well as the knowledge and know-how of gaming development expertise which was acquired over the years with PlayStation business to provide gaming application optimized for smart devices including smartphones to users in Japan and Asia”

So you could soon be seeing Uncharted’s Nathan Drake and Killzone Helghast storming your phone screen as you sit waiting for a bus or a friend at the cinema. Are you excited by this news? Os da PS1 correm de certeza, ja experimentei o GT com um Arc S e deu. Não me ajeito é com a falta de botões fisicos, portanto a condução é desastrosa

Para isso tens que comprar um daqueles comandos para android que tem o suporte para o telemovel. Talvez desse.
