Borderlands 2 for Linux Released, Available to Download from Steam Now (http://www.omgubuntu.co.uk/2014/09/borderlands-2-linux-released-available-download-steam-now)
Aspyr Media, the company who handled the port spoke with Liam Dawe of Gaming on Linux to say they are “super excited” to have played a part in bringing such a popular franchise to Linux, adding:
“This port was challenging, for sure. Performance was at the core of our efforts and while ATI and Intel didn’t make the cut for release, we continue to work on performance for those chipsets and hope to come to a level of performance we can stand behind as gamers in the near future.”
Yep, Borderlands 2 for Linux only supports Nvidia graphics cards at present. The same isn’t true for Mac OS X, so direct your blame-charged weaponry towards the usual proprietary players.
