Para a semana sai o The Evil Within que promete imenso.

Especialmente a 4k.

Winjer
11-10-14, 22:01

Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor (http://wccftech.com/review/middle-earth-shadow-mordor-review/) can easily be counted as the most anticipated and hyped game for PC that released last month across all major video game platforms. Set in The Lord of the Rings universe, this action-adventure role-playing video game ranks among some of the most demanding titles of 2014, as its recommended system settings (http://wccftech.com/shadow-of-mordor-benchmark-gtx-970-73fps-maximum/) suggest that players should have minimum 6GB of VRAM to max it out with ultra HD texture pack. But it seems like the optional pack that is available on Steam store isn’t much of a visual asset, as it doesn’t graphically enhance the game further and is easily comparable to the high settings. You can check out the screenshot comparison shared below and see for yourself the very minor differences that the ultra HD texture pack imports.
http://cdn2.wccftech.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/Shadow-of-Mordor-8-Ultra1-635x357.jpg (http://cdn.wccftech.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/Shadow-of-Mordor-8-Ultra1.jpg)
Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor Screenshot Comparison Shows Ultra HD Textures are Comparable to High Settings – 6GB VRAM Requirement Seems

If you are a PC gamer and a fan of J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings series, you might have already ended Warner Bros. Interactive’s action-packed adventure-RPG known as Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor on high settings (http://wccftech.com/shadow-of-mordor-benchmark-gtx-970-73fps-maximum/). I say high settings because even most of the common high-end rigs of today don’t normally sport graphics cards with 6GB of VRAM, which is exactly what you need to run Shadow of Mordor with the optional ultra HD texture pack installed. The game’s development team was apparently well aware that the ultra HD texture pack would basically only be used by people who own a GTX Titan, that is they made it optional and it can only be acquired in-game after downloading a free DLC pack from the Steam Store.
The patch for Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor’s (http://wccftech.com/review/middle-earth-shadow-mordor-review/) ultra HD texture pack weighs around 3.7GB, and that is apparently why it appears like it would really further enhance the visuals of the game running at high settings. To check how the ultra HD texture pack improves the graphical gameplay experience, PCGamer (http://www.pcgamer.com/spot-the-difference-shadow-of-mordor-ultra-hd-textures-barely-change-a-thing/) installed it onto their monstrous PC that rocks not one, but four GTX Titans. The Steam store page for ultra HD textures says that they are “the highest resolution textures available,” but according to PCGamer, the ultra HD textures are so much comparable to the high settings that you will hardly notice any difference at all.

Midle Earth, DLC anunciado.

Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor turned out to be a pretty good game, we even did some basic testing with it (http://goo.gl/PudMwp). Now Warner Bros is hoping to keep players hooked in with its new DLC, Lord of the Hunt, which will add in mounted warchiefs, new monsters and expand the game’s story.
Lord of the Hunt will introduce beastmaster warcheifs, which ride in to combat on the backs of monsters and other dangerous wild life found in Mordor. A new type of hulking Graug that spits venom, a Caragath and a ghul horde will also be added to the game.
http://www.kitguru.net/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/2422919-middleearthshadowofmordor_screenshot_talionmelee1-e1414682835256.jpg (http://www.kitguru.net/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/2422919-middleearthshadowofmordor_screenshot_talionmelee1-e1414682835256.jpg)
As far as story content goes, Torvin the Dwarf will play a central role. Side quests will involve beast hunting and competitive challenges. A lord of the hunt skin for the main character, Talion, will also be included.
The Lord of the Hunt DLC will be available later this year, it comes as part of the season pass, which sells for £19.99. The standalone price for the DLC has yet to be revealed.

Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor cleans up at DICE awards

http://images.bit-tech.net/news_images/2015/02/middle-earth-shadow-of-mordor-cleans-up-at/article_img.jpg
Open world orc-assassinating-fest Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor cleaned up at last night’s DICE awards picking up eight of the nine awards it was nominated for.

Shadow of Mordor was awarded Outstanding Achievement in Game Design, Adventure Game of the Year, Outstanding Innovation in Gaming, Outstanding Achievement in Animation, Outstanding Achievement in Story, Outstanding Technical Achievement and maybe slightly surprisingly Outstanding Achievement in Character for the game’s main character, Talion.

Overall Game of the Year was awarded to Dragon Age: Inquisition, which also picked up the Role-Playing/Massively Multiplayer Game of the Year award too. Other winners included Destiny, which picked up the Action Game of the Year and awards for its online gameplay and sound design, Hearthstone which picked up mobile and strategy game awards and Monument Valley which won recognition for its art direction.

As well as the recognition handed out to various titles, a Technical Impact award was granted to Apple for its disruption of the mobile gaming space. Additionally, one of the inventors of video games as a medium, Ralph Baer, along with Pong creator Al Alcorn, were granted pioneer awards in recognition of their work.

Monolith-developed Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor garnered a huge amount of critical praise after its launch towards the end of 2014 and made a lot of end-of-year lists at various outlets. Many commentators were surprised by its compelling gameplay and how well its emergent mechanics hang together.

NEXT SHADOW OF MORDOR DLC HAS CELEBRIMDOR FACING OFF AGAINST SAURON (http://megagames.com/news/next-shadow-mordor-dlc-has-celebrimdor-facing-against-sauron)

But he won't be dead. This next batch of DLC takes us back in time to when Celebrimdor was walking around on his own two, non-undead feet and Sauron too is at the height of his power, though his Elvish turn-coat possesses the one ring, which should give him a bit of a leg up.So this time around Talion won't feature at all, as he has yet to be born for a few hundred years. Instead players will take on the role of Celebrimdor himself, whom the developers describe as a bit of a "glass cannon," since he's more agile and more powerful than Talion, but he can't take a punch quite as well as our ranger pal from the main campaign.
"The enemies are also much more numerous and powerful. It's definitely a challenge. In terms of specific skills and playstyle, it's balanced so that you really need to use your domination skills, the One Ring and your improved archery skills to succeed," said Monolith's Design Director, Michael de Plater, in a chat with Polygon (http://www.polygon.com/2015/2/19/8067169/shadow-of-mordor-bright-lord-dlc-lord-of-the-rings-celebrimbor).
Tougher enemies is right, as the orks in the world at the time of this story can reach level 25, a significant bump over the standard level 20 orks you're used to facing off against as Talion. There will also be new skills and they'll have even more bodyguards and armour just to make things interesting.
Don't forget you'll eventually go up against Sauron himself too, who has just as much influence over the races of Middle Earth as you do (if not more) so expect him to turn followers against you too.
The campaign will take place in the same location as the original game, but will be reskinned to make it look very different. Since this is at the height of Sauron's reign, his armies are being built and his siege machines constructed. Just moving about the world will be difficult.
There is no release date for the Bright Lord DLC just yet, but it is expected to cost $10, much like Lord of the Hunt. It will feature 10 story missions in total and a new challenge mode.

Shadow of Mordor is getting a game of the year edition (http://www.kitguru.net/gaming/matthew-wilson/shadow-of-mordor-is-getting-a-game-of-the-year-edition/)

Warner Bros has announced that it will be releasing Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor next week with all of the previous DLC included in a new Game of the Year Edition. The GOTY edition of the game will be heading to the PC, Xbox One and PS4- last gen gamers appear to be missing out.
The game will include both The Lord of the Hunt and The Bright Lord story expansions. In addition, all of the extra skins, missions, runes and challenge modes will be included, as you would expect from a GOTY release.
http://www.kitguru.net/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/Shadow-of-Mordor-e1430316050678.jpg (http://www.kitguru.net/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/Shadow-of-Mordor-e1430316050678.jpg)
For those who somehow missed this game when it launched late last year, it puts you in the shoes of Talion, a ranger who gains wraith powers. The story takes you on a journey to fight ‘The Black Hand of Sauron’ for revenge purposes.
The game caused quite a stir on the PC after recommending that users have at least 6GB of VRAM for Ultra textures. However, upon release, it was clear that the game would run well on most modern systems. Overall, the game received positive reviews and is certainly worth the play-through.
Shadow of Mordor GOTY launches on the 8th of May.

And then they went silent, giving no indication of the status of the project for over three months.
Today, the silence surrounding the project has ended with another preview video of a DX11 title operating in VR. This time, we see Middle Earth: Shaddow Of Mordor running through the in-game benchmark, and performance numbers at the end.

Vireio Perception DX11

Vireio Perception said the game was tested with an AMD FX 8350 CPU paired with an R9 390 series graphics card. The benchmark test was run with all of the graphics settings at their lowest presets. Without the Vireio Perception driver, the average frame rate was 60 fps. With the driver switched on, the performance dropped significantly. The average frame was reported as 44 fps, but if you pay attention to the graph during the test, you’ll notice the frame rate drops well below the average.

The test was also performed with the graphics settings set to the highest presets. Again, without the Vireio Perception driver, the game reported 60 fps, but with it enabled there was an even bigger performance hit. The benchmark reported an average of 33 fps, but it dipped below 20 fps at some points in the test.
Work still continues on DX11 support for Vireio Perception, but judging from the performance results, you’ll need a very powerful computer to use it, unless the volunteers working on this project manage some impressive performance optimizations.

Shadow Of Mordor Dev Looking For A QA Manager With Knowledge Of Nintendo Certification Standards

Monolith Productions, the team behind the popular open world game based on the Lord of the Rings universe Middle Earth: Shadow Of Mordor, hasn’t released a game for a Nintendo system in quite a long time, but it seems like the studio might be ready to release a new game for a gaming system from the Japanese company.

On the Time Warner’s official website, it’s been revealed that Monolith Productions is seeking for a Quality Assurance Manager with knowledge of Nintendo certification standards as well as of Sony and Microsoft ones.

Knowledge of certification standards for Microsoft (TCR compliance), Sony (TRC compliance), or Nintendo (Lot Check).

The team has yet to reveal its next project, but it’s been speculated that Monolith Productions is currently working on the sequel of Shadow Of Mordor. With rumors of third party developers working on high profile titles for the next Nintendo console, the yet to be revealed Nintendo NX, it’s not unlikely that Monolith Productions and Warner Bros. are planning to release Shadow of Mordor 2 on the Nintendo NX system. However, there’s also the chance that Monolith is only looking for Nintendo lot check knowledge so that the future QA Manager can easily move into Sony and Microsoft certification standards.
Around a week ago, a mention of Shadow of Mordor 2 has been found on the Curriculum Vitae of stunt actress Lauren Mary Kim, who has worked on several high profile games such as Batman Arkham Knight, Call of Duty Black Ops 3, Mafia III and a few other titles and TV Shows. The actress, however, later denied (http://wccftech.com/shadow-of-mordor-2-leak-denied-by-stunt-actress-as-based-on-database-mistake/) any involvement with Shadow of Mordor 2, stating that inaccurate information has been put on her resume by mistake in the IStunt database.
Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor is now available in all regions on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One and Xbox 360. We will let you know if Shadow of Mordor 2 is indeed in development and coming to a Nintendo system as soon as more comes in on the matter, so stay tuned for all the latest news.
