Motorola’s Nexus 6 photographed—it’s a big Moto X

Android Police scored the above two pictures of someone using the upcoming Nexus device during their commute. The Motorola Nexus—codenamed "Shamu"—was expected to look a lot like the 2014 Moto X, just bigger. That appears to be the case based on the pictures above. And we know it's not just a Moto X, because the power and volume buttons are in a different spot. The 2014 Moto X has them toward the top of the device, and these are more toward the center.

Wall Street Journal: Nexus 6 to release this month (http://arstechnica.com/gadgets/2014/10/wsj-nexus-6-to-release-this-month/)


The Journal doesn't seem to take much stock in the name "Nexus 6," as it only refers to the device by its codename, "Shamu." The device is expected to be a Motorola-built 5.9-inch phablet that shares a lot with the 2014 Moto X. We've even seen pictures of something matching that description and running a never-before-seen build of Android L.
