Mafia III News Coming Soon According To Vito’s Voice Actor (http://www.dsogaming.com/news/rumor-mafia-iii-news-coming-soon-according-to-vitos-voice-actor/#more-72860)

Now I know most of you will be jumping around like little kids, so let’s get this out of the way from the very beginning; take everything you’re about to read with a grain of salt. Okay? Have we calmed down? Deep breaths and let’s move on.According to Rick Pasqualone, the voice actor of Vito, we’ll have more news about Mafia really soon. Now this could very well mean a possible re-release of previous Mafia games (in the form of a collection), right? Well, when a fan asked Pasqualone about Mafia 3, Rick told him that we might have some exciting news really soon.

As we’ve already said, take what you just read with a grain of salt. Still, this could very well be that start of Mafia 3’s hype machine.
Mafia 3 is rumored to be under development for current-gen platforms, and to be set in Louisiana.

Mafia 3 Reveal Might be Coming at E3 2015; Set in Louisiana and Will Feature 3 New Characters

Mafia 3 could be making an appearance at E3 2015 in June with a gameplay trailer. The game is rumored to be in development for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
http://cdn2.wccftech.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/Mafia-3-1-635x337.png (http://cdn4.wccftech.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/Mafia-3-1.png)
Rick Pasqualone, the voice actor of Mafia 2’s protagonist, has teased a few month back that Mafia 3 is on the cards. A lot of fans got extremely excited over the news that work was happening on Mafia 3, but unfortunately there haven’t been any news since then.
With E3 2015 just around the corner, it would be extremely exciting if 2K announced and demonstrated a new installment in the beloved series. The open world element combined with the prohibition era setting and the gangster drama, built on Unreal Engine 4 would be utterly awesome.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=7dHV8UJrufk

Mafia 2 was a great game with a very deep and moving narrative, and the potential for Mafia 3 is immense. Lets hope that we get some news real soon and have a reveal at E3 2015 in June.
Massive online retailer Play-Asia has caused a bit of a gaming stir by listing Mafia 3 for release on both PS4 and Xbox One.
http://cdn2.wccftech.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/Mafia-3-635x285.png (http://cdn.wccftech.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/Mafia-3.png)
Mafia 3 is said to have Joe as the lead along with Vito and will be set in Louisiana. The Louisiana setting will introduce three new characters, Franklin, Tony and Mickey. Franklin is in his early 20s, and “knows how to get a job done at any cost”. Tony is in his early 30s, and is apparently “a genius with numbers and statistics who runs sports betting operations”. Finally, Mickey is in his late teens, who “likes to run his mouth” and acts as a street hustler. Sadly, he can’t back his big talk up with much.

A casting call from 2K lists the three characters:
“Casting for ‘Untitled Video Game’ – Production Co: Take Two
ACTORS WILL BE USED FOR VO/MOTION CAPTURE/LIKENESS AND FACIAL SCAN.
[FRANKLIN]
Born in Louisiana, Mixed race – African American/Caucasian, Early 20s, 6′, Bouncer’s build – broad, not cut. An orphan in the racially segregated South who rises to criminal prominence after returning home to Louisiana from war. Having been an outsider to both white and black society, Franklin is fiercely loyal to those he considers “family.” He is both street-smart and strong. Disciplined and imposing, confident yet guarded, Franklin knows how to get a job done at any cost…
[TONY]
Born in Louisiana, Italian, Early 30s, Thin, Immaculately dressed and groomed. A genius with numbers and statistics who runs sports betting operations in Louisiana. Tony is not your typical gangster. Meticulous and organized, Tony is more concerned about numbers and profit than people. On the surface, Tony appears quiet and socially awkward, but in reality he is more than capable of inflicting violence on anyone who disrupts his bottom line. Tony doesn’t fear people; he simply does not understand or like them.
[MICKEY]
Born in Louisiana, Italian, Late Teens/Early 20s, Average build. A young street hustler who likes to run his mouth, Mickey likes to talk big on the streets, but when push comes to shove, he can’t back it up. Mickey has a bad habit of taking credit for bigger jobs and making himself seem higher up in the criminal ladder than he really is. When confronted with this, he reverts back to the scared teenager he really is.
We will bring you any news on Mafia 3, as soon as it becomes available. E3 2015 will be held between June 16-18 at the Los Angeles Convention Center.

Mafia 3 Announcement Could be Coming at Gamescom 2015

A couple of months ago, we reported on rumors that Mafia 3 would be making an appearance at E3 2015 in June with a gameplay trailer. The game is rumored to be in development for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. Unfortunately the announcement did not happen at the event as it was previously thought.
http://cdn4.wccftech.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/Mafia-3-635x357.jpg (http://cdn3.wccftech.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/Mafia-3.jpg)
During a Q&A session on Twitter, Rick Pasqualone, voice actor for protagonist Vito Scaletta from Mafia:II, posted this very interesting tweet following the E3 2015 event.

Rick Pasqualone @rickyp66 (https://twitter.com/rickyp66)
I was hoping for Mafia news as well! Disappointing for sure. When I know something, so will you...
9:19 PM - 17 Jun 2015 (https://twitter.com/rickyp66/status/611266826270474240)

Pasqualone’s response shows signs of disappointment, so perhaps the decision to delay the announcement for a future event like the upcoming Gamescom or Paris Week gaming festivals, could have been made at the last minute. Phil Spencer has already confirmed that Microsoft will be present at Gamescom (http://www.gamescom-cologne.com/gamescom/index-9.php) in August, and they will have as many new game announcements and demos present as they did for E3. This is certainly exciting and promising, and it could be possible that 2K has reserved announcement of Mafia 3, for the hugely popular Gamescom show.
Sony will be absent from the Gamescom event in Cologne, Germany during the first week of August, opting instead to be present during Paris Week (http://www.parisgamesweek.com/) in late October.

Mafia 3 Domain Names Registered, Announcement Imminent?

If you’ve been excited to those that are waiting patiently for Mafia 3 might be excited to hear that domain names associated to Mafia 3 have finally been registered (http://www.dailychanges.com/take2games.com/2015-06-25/) by Take-Two Interactive. This very well could mean that some kind of announcement is truly imminent.
http://cdn.wccftech.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/Mafia3-635x327.png (http://cdn2.wccftech.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/Mafia3.png)
Take-Two interactive registered four separate Mafia 3 related domains. While it’s easy to fake a domain registration, in this case the changes are indeed associated to accounts owned by Take-Two Interactive with all the information lining up with their other domains.
Securing domains well ahead of time isn’t unheard of either, though generally they aren’t registered so far in advance as to completely throw off consumers, unless development falters. The general rule is to secure it before popularity causes others to register it or to simply give enough time for web development.

Back in January of 2015 Rick Pasqualone, the voice actor for the primary protagonist of Mafia 2, teased that there might just be an announcement (https://twitter.com/rickyp66/status/552184551733481472) coming quite soon. Nothing quite materialized as we had hoped, though we have heard of another rumor (http://wccftech.com/mafia-3-announcement-coming-gamescom-2015/) from Rick Pasqualone that suggests we might see it revealed at Gamescon. Registering now would make sense so that they can prep the website in time for that reveal.
What we do know is that Mafia 3 is likely set in Louisiana with three new characters added to the foray. This is based on a casting call by 2K games, though the details could have been fabricated to hide the real story.
Hopefully we see something, even a reveal trailer not set in-game, at Gamescon in Cologne Germany in August. Mafia 3 is an unorthodox franchise, much like GTA, and has quite the following. It’ll be exciting to see how they evolve their franchise.

Mafia III Releasing In 2016

The first Mafia III trailer is finally out, and you can check it out below. Despite the obvious fact that it’s been made with CG, it pretty much confirms the ’70 setting (to be precise, it’s set in 1968) and shows the main protagonist, Lincoln Clay, along with his small crew (Cassandra, Burke and even Vito from Mafia II). His main objective is to dismantle the Italian mob in New Orleans.
Five years after the release of Mafia II, fans of the franchise can look forward to a new chapter developed by Hangar 13, a new studio made of industry veterans and located near San Francisco.
According to their website, Hangar 13 is using a proprietary engine for Mafia III instead of a third party one such as CryENGINE, Unreal Engine 4 or Unity 5. The game will be out in 2016 on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Gamestop (http://www.gamestop.com/ps4/games/mafia-iii/124646) has listed in the North American release date for Mafia III as April 26, 2016. Mafia 3 was announced back in August of this year. The game is to be released in 2016 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. The game is being developed by Hangar 13, a new development studio under the 2K publishing label.

Mafia III follows the story of Lincoln Clay, a disenfranchised Vietnam veteran, returning from combat and looking for a home and a place to belong. Orphaned as a child, Lincoln at last achieves a semblance of family with the city’s black mob, finding the surrogate father and brother he has longed for. But when Lincoln’s new family is betrayed and slaughtered by the Italian mob, he becomes fixated on revenge and wages a brutal war against the Italians, disrupting the balance of power in the seedy underworld of New Orleans. As the story progresses, Lincoln allies himself with other criminals and builds an empire and a new family of his own that transforms the city.
The gameis set in a reimagined New Orleans in 1968, one of the most tumultuous years in American history. This version of New Orleans is bustling with activity, complete with era-inspired cars, fashion and music. During this turbulent time, a cloud of corruption hangs in the air and the city has become a haven for organized crime. The Italian mob controls illegal gambling, drugs, and prostitution, while corrupt police and politicians line their pockets with the proceeds.

Best Buy Hints at Mafia III’s Release Date

E-mail (http://www.eteknix.com/best-buy-hints-mafia-iiis-release-date/#)
Reddit (http://reddit.com/submit?url=http://www.eteknix.com/best-buy-hints-mafia-iiis-release-date/&title=Best+Buy+Hints+at+Mafia+III%27s+Release+Date )

Open world third-person action-adventure game Mafia III is a highly anticipated title that’s being developed by Hangar 13 and published by 2K Games. What we know for sure about the next Mafia game is that it will be released at some point in 2016, but 2K Games has not released any information about an official release date just yet. However, it’s not exactly uncommon for large retailers to provide hints (http://www.dsogaming.com/news/best-buy-hints-at-an-april-26th-release-for-mafia-iii/) regarding the release dates of these games. Best Buy, for example, has listed the game as available starting April 26, and even though this is nothing more than a rumour at this point, the release date would make sense for a game that’s been in development since 2012, albeit with a series of breaks caused by 2k Czech’s restructuring.
http://i0.wp.com/www.eteknix.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/best-buy-mafia-3.jpg?resize=700%2C926
At the time of writing, 2K Games has not commented on this rumored release date, and it’s not likely that its representatives will issue a statement before the official announcement. However, if Best Buy turns out to be right, it would mean that we’re only looking at about four more months of waiting time before we’ll be able to get our hands on this promising title. By the way, do you think that Mafia III (http://www.eteknix.com/mafia-3-domain-registrations-indicate-upcoming-announcement/) will live up to its expectations in terms of story and gameplay?

Mafia 3 Dev: We’ve Built A Game That Can Stand Up With The Best

http://cdn.wccftech.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/Mafia-3-4-635x357.jpg (http://cdn.wccftech.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/Mafia-3-4.jpg)
Mafia 3 was finally announced at Gamescom 2015, after three years of rumors. The third chapter of this franchise is being developed by Hangar 13, a brand new 2K studio located in Novato, California.
Prankster101 managed to interview (http://prankster101.com/articles/interview-with-andy-wilson-of-mafia-3/) Andy Wilson, Executive Producer on Mafia 3, and he didn’t seem at all concerned with the strong competition on the market this year.

We’ve actually been looking at it since the launch of the new consoles and it seems that there is a bit more room than there used to be. Things are consolidating around bigger titles [and there are] fewer of them overall then we were seeing towards the end of the last generation. I think we’ve built a game that’s just going to stand up there with the best. So I’m not concerned about it in that respect. I think by the time we come out in 2016, these new consoles would be very established and you’ve seen how fast both of them are selling as well. So the opportunity for us there is probably actually much better than it was at the same time in the previous generation. So again, I’m a firm believer that if you put a really good game together and you get the right kind of support from the publisher, then you’ll find your player base. And we’re very much hoping to do that with this as well.
It seems like Hangar 13 is confident in the game’s quality. Let’s hope to be able to confirm after getting our hands on the game, which will release in 2016 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
Mafia 3 didn’t have any problems being included in WCCFtech’s most anticipated action/adventure games of 2016 list (http://wccftech.com/wccftechs-most-anticipated-2016-action-adventure-games/). This time, the game will take place in an entirely different setting: New Orleans, 1968.

Fresh Mafia 3 Screenshots Show The Game’s ‘Breathing’ World

Some fresh Mafia 3 screenshots have surfaced from a GDC presentation that was presented given by the game’s systems designer, Seth Rosen.
http://cdn.wccftech.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/04/6-Byt0l0Q-635x357.jpg
The GDC 2016 (Game Developers Conference), was held in San Fransisco last month, and during the event Mafia 3 developer, Hangar 13, organized a design session (http://wccftech.com/mafia-3-living-world-gdc-2016-lessons-learned/) about the “living world” of Mafia 3.

Games offer new worlds to players for them to explore and interact with. A game’s world is a set and the player is the lead actor–as amazing as starring in a one-person show might be, a world that surrounds the player with life can be far more immediate and engrossing. Environmental storytelling does a great job of hinting at lives past, but AI actors with systemic behaviors are the key to demonstrating the life of a level right in front of the player. The presence that these performers and their interactions lend to the experience help the player to believe in the world itself. The talk will look at the systems driving Elizabeth, BioShock Infinite’s companion character, and the “living world” of Mafia III, relating lessons learned during development and giving guidelines for bringing a level and its occupants to life.

Slides from the presentation have now been published, and the presentation includes a set of fresh Mafia 3 screenshots showing the game’s “living world”. Check out the gallery down below. Finalmente temos 60 fps no PC. Não é o ideal de ter um jogo sem limite de frame rate, mas é melhor do que os 30 fps.

UPDATE [10/8 / 3PM PT]: PC players, reboot Mafia III because patch 1.01 is now available for download. This patch includes 30, 60, and unlimited frames-per-second options on PC. To select your framerate, just head to the display menu in-game. Just make sure to tailor the framerate settings to the power of your machine. This patch also includes improvements to keyboard remapping, so head to the controls menu to check out the options. Note: this patch resets keyboard mapping to default, so any changes you made to the controls previously will need to be customized after installing the patch. We aren’t done with fixes and updates and will continue to listen to our community for ways to improve your experience in New Bordeaux. And check here (https://mafiagame.com/en/news/view/en-a-look-at-the-post-release-content-coming-to-mafia-3/) to see what content updates we have in the works, including outfit swapping, races, and more.

Neste, ah e tal bora assobiar.
