Forza Motorsport 6 Will Not Dissappoint Anyone

Forza Motorsport 6 is an upcoming racing video game under development by Turn 10 studios ad is published by Microsoft. The game will be an exclusive to Xbox platform as confirmed earlier during the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, Michigan on the 12th of January, 2015. The game is going to be the sixth instalment in the famous Forza Motorsport series and is available for pre-order on the official Forza Motorsport website (http://www.xbox.com/en-us/games/forza-6). At the announcement, the Turn 10 Studios Creative Director Dan Greenawalt also commented on the game, where he said:
Just as Ford has pushed the boundaries of car technology in GT, Forza Motorsport 6 will embrace that spirit of innovation as our most technically advanced racing simulation to date, offering a fun and realistic automotive experience for both car lovers and gamers. We’re excited to unveil gameplay at E3 in June.

Xbox Executive “New Installment In the Forza Motorsport Series Will Not Disappoint”

After the revelation of the game at the Detroit Auto show, Microsoft has been quite about the upcoming game. However, yesterday Xbox EMEA Social Marketing Manager Graeme Boyd and Xbox Global Director of Games Marketing Aaron Greenberg talked a bit about the game on Rectify Gaming Podcast where Graeme Boyd also praised the Xbox boss Phil Spencer and the nintendo Wii U lineup. You can read more about that if you Click Here (http://wccftech.com/xbox-uk-executive-praises-phils-leadership-wii-lineup/).

He also commented on the upcoming racing game Forza Motorsport 6 where he said:
“Stay tuned on that one. There will be lots of Forza news to come, and Turn 10 in particular is good at communicating with the community when they have stuff to talk about.”
“From what I’ve seen, no one is gonna be disappointed about that game.”

Greenberg took a bit bolder step forward and listed the game as one coming this Holiday season and confirming what many thought would be the case. The game will feature the new Ford GT aswell and the developers will not be taking the game lightly. Earlier in the announcement when the Ford GT was mentioned, Turn 10 Creative Director Dan Greenawalt said:
“The Ford GT in 2005, was the car that our team used to actually come up with new ideas for the gaming space, with Autovista, which is a mode in which you can use Kinect, motion tracking to move around the car, open up the door, get inside, and it was getting a new generation into cars.”
“But now, this moment, Ford Performance, the new Ford GT, as a person who loves cars, I could not be more proud. I could not be more excited.”

Well this sets it up very good for the release of the new game and as a gamer, I’m very excited to see how Xbox matches the level set by the recent PS4 Driveclub release.

Forza 6 Release Window Confirmed (http://www.gamrreview.com/news/92473/forza-6-release-window-confirmed/)

Forza Motorsport 6 has been confirmed for holiday 2015, Microsoft Executive Aaron Greenberg has announced. The time-frame was announced as a part of the Inner Circle Podcast (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qm9uOkz1tzQ&feature=youtu.be), where Greenberg also announced that Rise of the Tomb Raider, Halo 5, Quantum Break, and Fable Legends will all be launching on Xbox this holiday 2015.

Forza 6 was semi-revealed back in January (http://www.gamrreview.com/news/92306/forza-motorsport-6-announced), but little has been said about it since then.

Ou seja, fica confirmado para o último trimestre de 2015.

Forza Might be Coming to PC

With GDC beginning today, the spotlight is geared towards Microsoft, as they fully demonstrate the capabilities of DirectX 12 and it’s implementation on Windows 10 and Xbox One. Reports from Worlds Factory (http://www.worldsfactory.net/), reveal that Microsoft might be preparing a PC version of it’s Forza series. Microsoft, first revealed DirectX 12 at GDC 2014, with a demo Forza Motorsport 5, running on PC at 60 FPS. The session was tilted DirectX: Evolving Microsoft’s Graphics Platform. No further details were given at the time, although, Chris Tector, Software Architect of Turn 10 studios did mention that it only took four months using a four man team to get the game running. He also added:

We’re very excited to see console-style development coming to the PC through D3D12.
Tector will be present at GDC 2015, speaking during a session entitled Developing Games for Windows 10, which would make very little sense if they weren’t actually doing Forza for PC. The session follows soon after Phil Spencer’s The Future of Gaming Across the Microsoft Ecosystem. It could be possible that Phil Spencer is to announce Forza PC during his session, followed by Tector for more details on the title.
http://cdn4.wccftech.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/Forza-1-635x273.jpg (http://cdn4.wccftech.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/Forza-1.jpg)

Microsoft dismissed Forza PC after last year’s tech demo stating to Eurogamer (http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/digitalfoundry-2014-directx-12-revealed-coming-to-xbox-one):

was simply a rendering tech demo to showcase the power and ease of development for DX12. We have no plans to release Forza Motorsport 5, or any other Microsoft Studios Xbox One title on PC.
Fable Legends will be coming to PC and it’s just the first of the major game franchises from Microsoft Studios Things seem to have changed recently though with the announcement that Fable Legends, which is also a Microsoft studios title, will also be coming to the PC as well, thanks to DX12. The official blog Xbox Wire stated:

[I]Fable Legends is just the first of the major game franchises from Microsoft Studios coming to Windows 10 and we will have more to share in the coming months.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=W1lHeLN1UGs

Forza Motorsport 6, is scheduled for release on Xbox One this holiday, so it would make sense for it to release on both platforms, although there is a possibility that they would be porting Forza Horizon 2 to the PC. We will know soon enough, and we will bring you any new information from Microsoft and DX12 as soon as it becomes available.

Tretas.
Já não é a primeira vez que vemos o Forza a ser demonstrado a correr em PC, por causa de um demo do DirectX.
Há um ano vimos o Forza 5 a correr em PCs com o protótipo do DX12, mas nunca vimos o jogo a sair em PC.

Forza Motorsport 6 will reportedly feature a DX12 capable engine

It looks like we should begin to get excited for Forza Motorsport 6, which according to the latest rumors, will feature support for DirectX 12. The news is coming from a new trademark application for the game, something GameSpot picked up.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=o1djJDaPsno

Microsoft has told GameSpot that it has "filed a trademark application for ForzaTech, which is Turn 10 Studios' proprietary graphics and simulation engine for Forza". The company will be showing the game off in greater detail at E3 2015 in June, but Microsoft is going to have multiple new titles to show off at E3 2015, which is only going to help the Xbox One. These titles include Gears of War 4, and a few new titles from Rare.

Back to Forza Motorsport 6 and its new visual capabilities, Turn 10 Studios used a new game engine for Forza Motorsport 5 when they released it two years ago now, which was enhanced for Forza Horizon 2. But with increased competition in the graphics department from driving games like Driveclub and Project Cars, Microsoft needs all the help it can get for its Xbox One title.

Xbox One is leading the way in exclusives for 2015 Xbox One is clearly leading the way in exclusives for 2015, with Halo 5: Guardians (http://wccftech.com/halo-5-guardians-spartan-locke-armor-set-showcased-trailer/), Forza Motorsport 6 (http://wccftech.com/forza-6-dx12-compatible-engine-raising-visual-fidelity-heights/) and The Rise of The Tomb Raider (http://wccftech.com/rise-tomb-raider-timed-exclusive/). Even more exclusives are on the way, as Graeme Boyd, social marketing manager at Xbox, has revealed in an interview with gamer2gamerevolved (http://gamer2gamerevolved.blogspot.in/2015/05/g2g-interview-with-graeme-boyd.html) that there are more exclusives besides the ones that are already announced.
Boyd admitted that Halo 5 is hugely important to Microsoft but there’s much more besides Fable Legends (http://wccftech.com/fable-legends-beautiful-screenshots-directx-12-title/), Quantum Break and Rise of The Tomb Raider.

“Absolutely. As you can imagine, Halo is a huge deal for us at Xbox and I can’t wait to see where Master Chief’s story is going in Halo 5. If you’ve been following the #HuntTheTruth stuff there’s some really interesting stuff going down, and I think we’ll really need to question our understanding of Chief as a character and the relationship we’ve all had with him over the last 15 years.
“I think the new direction 343 are taking there feels fresh and new and exciting but still distinctly Halo, so I’m really excited to see and play more of that.”
“But the most exciting thing for me is that Halo 5 is just one exclusive Xbox One title still to come. We’ve also got Forza 6 on the horizon, Fable Legends, Quantum Break, and lots more to come – and don’t forget that Xbox One is the only place you can play the new Tomb Raider this year. That – plus all the big third-party titles – means it’s a brilliant time to be an Xbox gamer.”

Phil Spencer confirms new IP to be shown at E3 Phil Spencer (http://wccftech.com/phil-spencer-talks-e3-gamescom-60fps-games-comments-sonys-absence-gamescom/) has confirmed that they will be showing a new IP at E3 2015 (http://wccftech.com/e3-2015-list-confirmed-games/), but everything indicates that there would be quite a few surprises, and possibly more than one new IP.
We will be bringing you any new information on Microsoft and Xbox One as well as any updates oin E3 2015 as soon as it becomes available.

O Forza 5 já é 1080p/60fps por isso não é surpresa este também ser. A quantidade de carros é que é estonteante, o 5 veio com muito menos. Trazer 450 carros logo no lançamento é obra.

Turn 10 Studios Really Excited About DX12, Not Utilizing in Forza 6 on “Xbox One”

In an interview with Gamingbolt (http://gamingbolt.com/turn-10-directx-12-has-ton-of-potential-1080p60fps-is-technical-achievement-were-proud-of) executive producer for Forza Motorsport 6, Ryan Cooper, shared the studio’s excitement about DX12.
http://cdn4.wccftech.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/Forza-6-14-635x357.jpg (http://cdn2.wccftech.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/Forza-6-14.jpg)
Cooper explains:

“Yes, we’re really excited about DX12 and I think there is going to be a ton of potential with that. However we’re not utilizing Dx12 in Forza Motorsport 6 on Xbox One.
“We’re always looking to push the boundaries. Take our Forza Tech engine for example; that’s an engine that has been in development for over 10 years and with every version of the game we’re always trying to push the technology boundaries of what that engine can do. With the addition of night racing and racing in the rain and the ability to present that to players at 1080p/60 fps is really a technical achievement we’re proud of.”
Could Forza Motorsport 6 be coming with DX12 to Windows 10? Ryan Cooper’s statement that Turn 10 Studios is not utilizing DX12 in Forza Motorsport 6 on Xbox One, does seem a bit intriguing. While it may be nothing, it might also have been a slip-up or even an intentional hinting towards something else.

http://cdn4.wccftech.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/forza-6-635x357.jpg (http://cdn4.wccftech.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/forza-6.jpg)
Development of Forza Motorsport 6 for the PC may well be underway, as could be the implementation of DX12 in the new engine to serve a port of Forza Horizon 2 for the Windows 10 platform. Support of DX12 for the Xbox One version of Forza Motorsport 6 could come at a later date, as the studio could require additional optimizations before implementing the new API.
It could be any of these scenarios or it could be nothing at all. Fact is though that Microsoft has been trying to rekindle their dedication to the PC community, which again could be an indication of something greater, as we might see the company play a much bigger role in the PC gaming scene in the future.
Lets hope that we have some positive things coming from Microsoft, and we get to see PC ports of popular franchises like Forza and Halo grace the Windows 10 platform, and a move to establish a cross-platform developement environment between the Xbox One and Windows.
Forza Motorsport 6 releases on September 15th in North America and September 18th in Europe for the Xbox One. We will bring you any new information as soon as it becomes available.

Forza Motorsport 6 Trailer Shows Off Realistic Rain ConditionA new teaser trailer for Forza Motorsport 6 has been revealed at Gamescom. This trailer showcases the games amazing weather effects and takes into account the insight of Josef Newgarden who is an American race car driver for CFH Racing.
Featuring an entirely new aspect of racing in rainy weather, Forza Motorsport 6 showcases a response system on tracks specially designed for racing in rainy weather. The game also has different responses for different types of surfaces on the track which makes it much more fun and interesting to play.
According to Josef Newgarden this special system of response to diverse weather conditions is not available even in the multi-million dollar simulators that the professional racer has driven, making it much more special for gamers to experience it on the Xbox One.
Without further ado, check out the trailer below.

Forza 6 shown off at 1080p 60FPS on the Xbox One at Gamescom

Gamescom 2015 - If there's a game that should have the attention of Xbox One users, it should be Forza Motorsport 6, which is pumping along at 1080p 60FPS thanks to the optimization Turn 10 Studios has made to the game.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2AQT2cVDHfY

The studio was showing off Forza 6 at Gamescom 2015 which is currently underway in Cologne, Germany, with DualShockers interviewing Creative Director Dan Greenawalt, where he said: "Honestly, it is optimization, optimization, optimization. Forza Motorsport 5, as well as Forza Horizon 2 as well as Forza Motorsports 6 are underpinned by our bespoke graphics engine ForzaTech. And that graphics engine is being worked on by two world-class teams: the Turn 10 team and the PlayGround team".

Greenwalt added: "But also, we're first party, so we work with The Coalition, we work with 343, we're able to learn how to really optimize for the box. So yeah, I think it surprised a lot of people that Forza Motorsport 6 was able to come out with 1080p, 60 frames per second, 24 cars on track, with night, with wet, but it drives great. Forza 6 to Challenge Driveclub for Best Rain Effects in a Racing Game

Forza 6 will feature an awesome weather system, which as can be seen in the gameplay footage below, from Team VVV (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCEvr879Hns1Ccb_gVaV7-5w), rivals the king of the racing game rain effects, Driveclub.
The footage was captured off-screen at Gamescom 2015 on a triple screen set-up, which does make Forza Motorsort 6 look quite impressive.

Forza 6 runs at 1080p, 60fps, with night, with wet and 24 cars on trackCreative Director Dan Greenwalt, in an interview with DualShockers (http://www.dualshockers.com/2015/08/04/forza-motorsport-6-director-explains-how-it-can-run-at-1080p60-fps-with-rain-and-24-cars-on-track/), explain how the team managed to have Forza Motorsport 6 run at 1080p, 60 frames per second with weather and 24 cars on track.

Honestly, it is optimization, optimization, optimization. Forza Motorsport 5, as well as Forza Horizon 2 as well as Forza Motorsports 6 are underpinned by our bespoke graphics engine ForzaTech. And that graphics engine is being worked on by two world-class teams: the Turn 10 team and the PlayGround team.

But also, we’re first party, so we work with The Coalition, we work with 343, we’re able to learn how to really optimize for the box.
So yeah, I think it surprised a lot of people that Forza Motorsport 6 was able to come out with 1080p, 60 frames per second, 24 cars on track, with night, with wet, but it drives great.
At the end of the day, that’s what all this technology is for. It’s for the experience. It’s to get people passionate and excited about cars in games. And if it does that, it’s all worth it.

Forza Motorsport 6 Has 26 Weather Modes, Elite Controller Preset; Team Is Exploring Hololens

http://cdn.wccftech.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/forza-motorsport-6-audi-tdi-635x357.jpg (http://cdn.wccftech.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/forza-motorsport-6-audi-tdi.jpg)
Chinese website GameCores (http://www.g-cores.com/articles/15828) managed to score an interview with Chris Bishop, Lead Producer for Forza Motorsport 6 at Turn 10 Studios.
Quite a few interesting details were revealed. For instance, while the game won’t feature dynamic weather, it will be possible to select 26 different weather modes or patterns. Even more intriguing is Bishop’s admission that the studio is currently exploring potential Hololens applications.
Hardcore gamers will be also pleased to know that Forza Motorsport 6 has been optimized for the upcoming Xbox Elite Controller, due in October for $/€ 150, and gamers will be able to choose a preset crafted by Turn 10. Finally, Kinect support is limited to using voice in order to navigate the main menu.
Forza Motorsport 6 Will Launch On September 15There are many hard facts supporting Forza Motorsport 6. The team managed to get the game running at 1080P resolution and 60 frames per second, and there will be more than 450 vehicles at the gamers’ disposal.
Forza Motorsport 6 will also feature a single player campaign mode called “Stories of Motorsport”, which will offer 70 hours of gameplay divided across different chapters.
Just a few hours ago, we also reported (http://wccftech.com/forza-motorsport-6-install-size-revealed/) on the install size – according to the Xbox Marketplace, it will weign in at roughly 44.37 GB, so you’d better make space before the release date of September 15 on Microsoft’s Xbox One console.

Forza Motorsport 6 Mods Feature Detailed

http://cdn.wccftech.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/forza-motorsport-6-audi-rain-635x357.jpg (http://cdn.wccftech.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/forza-motorsport-6-audi-rain.jpg)
After talking about it briefly at Gamescom 2015, today Turn 10 fully revealed (http://www.forzamotorsport.net/en-us/news/fm6_mods) the Forza Motorsport 6 mods feature.
They will allow players to modify their races in certain ways that have been described by the developer.
Mods are a new feature in Forza Motorsport 6, one that has been designed to bring a new layer of depth, challenge and fun to the career and free play races where Mods will be available to use. In essence, Mods give the player the chance to affect the race, whether through adding additional challenges, changing the handling of the car, or offering additional bonuses at the end of a race. In many ways, Mods give the player the chance to dare themselves to do better in a race, and reap the rewards if they are successful. We believe that players get more out of Forza, when they start turning the assists off and master their collection of cars. Therefore, Mods also create an additional “risk for reward” system to encourage experimentation with higher difficulty assist settings. Here we’ll explain what Mods are, how they work, and how you can make them work for you in your Forza 6 career.
First, Mods are game modifiers, similar to perks in Forza Horizon 2 or Skulls in Halo 4, that you can unlock as you play in Forza Motorsport 6. Mods can only be used in either Career or in Free Play modes – players cannot use Mods in multiplayer or Leagues races or in Rivals events. Mod packs can be won as part of the Prize spinner (described above) or purchased for in-game credits. Different Mods affect your race in different ways.

There are three categories of Forza Motorsport 6 mods: Dare, Crew and Boost.
Dare Mods challenge the player to get out of their comfort zone and perform with specific driving requirements that will test their skills. Players will earn credits bonuses if they succeed in a race with a Dare mod added. All Dare Mods can be used as many times as the player likes, but only one dare can be used at a time.
Some examples:

Severe Power Decrease – Power decreased by 8%. Hit the objective to earn +20% credits
Manual With Clutch – Manual transmission with clutch. Hit the objective to earn +20% credits
Back of the Pack – Start in 24th Grid Position. Hit the objective to earn +30% credits

Crew Mods give the player a specific performance advantage during a race, depending on the Crew Mod used. Crew Mods don’t offer specific bonus rewards but can give players an advantage in a race.
Examples include:

Chassis Expert — -7% weight, +3% grip
Braking Engineer — +20% braking, +5% power

Boost Mods give the players a specific advantage during a race or a bonus for performing well in a race. Boost Mods might increase the total amount of credits you can earn after a race, or give you a bonus to XP or credits for performing certain in-game feats.
Boost mods could be:

Pristine Drafting – Earn 3,000 credits for Perfect Drafts up to 18,000 credits
Ghost – Your car has no collisions for the first lap of this race
Superior Payout – Earn +60% credits for a single race

What do you think of this new addition to Forza Motorsport 6? Do you foresee yourself using it a lot?
In case you forgot, the game will be out on September 15 in North America, September 17 in Japan and September 18 in Europe, exclusively for Microsoft’s Xbox One.

The added cars come from the electric energy FIA Formula E event.
Forza Motorsport 6 install size has been revealed via the Xbox Marketplace. The game will weigh in at 44.37GB. It does seem quite large for a racing game, but with everything Turn 10 Studios are making available for the racer both in quantity and in visual quality it certainly makes sense. Forza Motorsport 6 will run at 1080p and 60 frames per second, will feature night races and a fully dynamic weather system, while having 24 cars on track.
Forza Motorsport 6 releases exclusively for the Xbox One on September 15, 2015. Featuring over 450 Forzavista cars, all with working cockpits, opening doors and full damage, including the new Ford GT. With 24-player races across 26 world-famous locales, wet weather and night racing. We will bring you any new information on Forza Motorsport 6 as soon as it becomes available.

Forza Motorsport 6 Trailer & Demo Released!

http://cdn.eteknix.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/Forza6_E3_PressKit_01_WM-980x551-800x450.jpg
Forza Motorsport 6 is the latest addition to the highly-respected racing series from Turn 10 Studios and looks extremely impressive in terms of its graphical fidelity and handling model. Unfortunately, Forza Motosport 5 was a huge disappointment and characterized by a lack of content, and in-game microtransactions. Perhaps, Turn 10 had to work on a very tight schedule to release the game alongside the Xbox One. I’m fairly confident they now have the required resources and development period to create a proper sequel to Forza Motorsport 4.
After an arduous wait, Forza Motorsport 6 is just round the corner and you can now access the official demo today. As previously reported (http://www.eteknix.com/forza-motorsport-6-gone-gold-demo-coming-september-1st/), the demo revolves around the iconic Ford GT and lets you store it in your garage for free! Forza Motorsport 6 contains 460 cars, dynamic weather system, a wealth of challenging circuits and comprehensive career mode. In the sim-simcade market, there is a lot of competition from Gran Turismo and Project Cars. However, Forza 6 from the launch trailer alone, impresses me a great deal. It’s a shame that Microsoft has no current plans to port the game onto PC.
From a technical perspective, Forza Motorsport 6 runs at a native resolution of 1920×1080 and fluid 60fps. As a huge racing fan, I find it difficult to resist buying an Xbox One just for Forza. It will be interesting to see if Microsoft ever releases the game on PC because I believe it could accumulate a professional scene.

Direct Feed Forza Motorsport 6 Footage, Driving Through Circuit de Spa Francorchamps at Night

The demo of Forza Motorsport 6 is out and being enjoyed by many, and the release of the final version is coming very soon. But in the meantime, if you haven’t had the chance to try out the demo just quite yet, why not enjoy some in-game footage of us racing at night at Circuit de Spa Francorchamps.

<iframe width="635" height="388" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/0vhqxh8ts0Q" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Forza Motorport 6 seems to be a natural progression, more tracks, more cars, better physics. The improvements in graphical fidelity come down to the small additions while still maintaining fantastic framerates. This is actual 1080P at a mostly 60FPS. It’s fluid and responsive. Obviously this particular track is at night, but even then it’s quite the experience when speeds increase. I’m curious what the experience is like with an actual racing setup. The controller is nice, but more precision would be appreciated in turns.
And don’t forget, there will be plenty of footage coming out in the coming week as the release date comes near. And yes, those are the braking markers on in the video. I like racing games, but I’m not very good at them, so any advantage I can get, I take. It’s a surprise I didn’t crash more.
Does Forza 6 look like it’ll carry on the critically acclaimed legacy of the Forza franchise?

Forza Motorsport 6 Review

Developer: Turn 10 Studios (http://www.forzamotorsport.net/en-us/turn10)
Publisher: Microsoft Studios (http://microsoftstudios.com/)
Platform: Xbox One, currently priced at $59.99 (http://amzn.to/1NngX1U)
A review copy was provided for by Microsoft Studios.
The weather is horrible outside, heavy rain drops hitting the windshield hard. You’re driving down a long straightaway at Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, speedometer inching towards 120MPH. Up ahead a turn materializes. You shift your focus ahead, to mastering the apex that stands in your way. Out of the corner of your eye a glint of light dances on your eye. The hood of a 2015 Chevy Corvette seems to float effortlessly by. The turn looms nearer, the brakes are applied gingerly. Mother nature and the laws of physics are on your side, you slide out of the turn nearly perfectly. Though there’s a puddle in the middle of the abrupt right hand turn, letting off the breaks and feathering the throttle works in your favor.
http://cdn.wccftech.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/09/Forza6_Reviews_08_WM-635x357.jpg (http://cdn.wccftech.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/09/Forza6_Reviews_08_WM.jpg)
That only lightly touches the surface of the excitement that can be found in Forza Motorsport 6.The moments experienced, though digital, can be tense and quite fun. Forza Motorsport 6 marks the sixth in the Motorsport franchise and the eighth Forza game overall within a span of 10 years. 6 wants to bring back the variety that was seemingly lost from the last one, giving us a plethora of cars and tracks to choose from.
And there are many different options, 460 different cars to be exact. All seem to be very well modelled, beautifully rendered in the ForzaTech engine. Masterpieces really. The level of detail inside and out is actually quite astonishing.
The graphics are always going to be a concern in a racing simulator such as Forza Motorsport 6. Are they good enough to be considered part of the ‘simulator’ genre? Do they convince enough that it feels like you’re driving this lightweight powerhouse of a machine? In this case it does. This is an evolution of the engine used in Forza Horizon 2, though with a far smaller scope. The graphics focus on the cars and the tracks themselves, and that’s where the strengths lie. There won’t be legions of fully animated fans and bystanders while you drive by, though your Jaguar F Type will have the high-quality interior dash materials you’d expect from the real thing.
And then there’s that damage model, something that can either be turned on to effect the actual operation of your vehicle, or simply turned on as a cosmetic effect only. It’s a fun thing to look at and each fractured window is different each time you decide to slam into a wall. That, and afterwards it’s enjoyable to just take a moment to drink in all of the damage you caused to yourself (and blame it on the AI of course).
And those tracks, rendered in almost exacting detail even with the same imperfections in the pavement you’ll find in real life, leading to those horrid and dangerous puddles as well. Even the writing found throughout in the Nürburgring is all there. But you won’t be spending your time enjoying the pretty landscape, unless you just want to crash your car.
http://cdn.wccftech.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/09/Forza6_Reviews_03_WM-635x357.jpg (http://cdn.wccftech.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/09/Forza6_Reviews_03_WM.jpg)
The real fun is in racing, obviously. And the framerate is near constant at 60FPS and it’s definitely 1080P the entire time. The actual feeling of speed, as a result, is quite stunning. It’s a great looking game, and it runs very well on the Xbox One, even with a much less powerful GPU than even the PS4.
The physics are particularly impressive. Weather plays a crucial role in how your mighty machine reacts. Wet pavement is obviously tricky, and in Forza 6 the physically modeled puddles are being heralded as a first for racing games, and certainly they have a crucial effect in your ability to win. The feeling is markedly different, as if you’ll start hydro-planing if you don’t be a bit more light-footed.
Mass, or the lack of it, can be ‘felt’ as well, in the way a car handles and how it responds. It’s a joy to take out a super-car on the Nürburgring and take it up to near 230MPH while struggling to keep it under control because it weighs very little. The tracks surface makes a huge difference in handling too, with the suspension struggling to keep up at times on cobble stone like surfaces and of course struggling on dirt or in the grass. It all adds up to a tremendous experience.
The instant feedback from executing good turns is a great touch. Not only does it feel good, smooth and satisfying, if you hit the apex just right, but the flashing acknowledgement of your achievement is fantastic for the budding beginner such as myself. It works well as a teaching tool.
The career mode starts off as a very well guided tutorial, though every race counts towards your career and isn’t just there solely to help you learn. You’ll start slow, being told about how the game works, if you’re new, and being reintroduced to the concepts of racing if you’re not. Once past the tutorial stage, of course you can enjoy some free play, test driving the vehicles in your garage and of course the real draw; multiplayer. Multiplayer wasn’t explored due to not having anyone to play against. If Forza Motorsport 5 and even Forza Horizon 2 are any indication of what the experience will be like, I think we’ll be in for a wild and fantastic ride.

Career mode is linear, however, meaning that you can’t skip ahead to the categories that you want to race in, or think you’d do well in due to the cars available. You have to finish all of them. Also, if you don’t get in the top three in a particular race, you have to do it again until you do. But that’s where the sliding scale of AI actually comes in handy, and the only penalty from adjusting things is having less of a credit bonus at the end. Instead of making you feel like a complete loser for not being up to the task, it actually ends up being alright.
Also in career mode you’ll find two other wonderful categories you can race in; Stories of Motorsport, where you get to go play through a narrative of the essence of what racing is, starting from where most get their own inspiration and moving through the different kinds of autosports. The next is the Showcases category, which is a way to experience (as closely as possible) some of the iconic and otherwise vibrant parts of racing.
http://cdn.wccftech.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/09/Forza6_Reviews_06_WM-635x357.jpg (http://cdn.wccftech.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/09/Forza6_Reviews_06_WM.jpg)
Something else that’s quite the fun surprise is the partnership with Top Gear, letting you hear the voices of James, Jeremy and Richard. That and being able to race against the Stig in some very difficult challenges. A most useful partnership indeed.

The instant feedback from executing good turns is a great touch. Not only does it feel good, smooth and satisfying, if you hit the apex just right, but the flashing acknowledgement of your achievement is fantastic for the budding beginner such as myself. It works well as a teaching tool.
Let’s not forget about the sound design, either. The music is atmospheric and helps you (me anyway) to focus on racing, on getting the most out of it. Each car seems to have its own actual engine sound mapped into the game, so that’s good. The tire screeching noise, however, kind of sounds like Mel doing her impression of what a kookaburra sounds like (https://youtu.be/qcVFM4X7OSg?t=1m9s).
The AI is ruthless, if you happen to let them be aggressive in the settings. They’ll ram you off of the road and just try to destroy you. But other then that they play smart and seem to respect the difficulty levels. The ability to nearly change that on the fly is a helpful feature, because sometimes a particular track just ends up being far too easy.
ConclusionAs a racing simulator it does well with a very realistic Newtonian physics engine, superb weather effects, gorgeous graphics. You definitely get rewarded for great driving, but it sets you up for success and you can easily adjust the difficulty should you need to. What might not be so good are some questionable sound effects that don’t seem up to the standard of such a high-quality production. In addition, compared to it’s direct rival, the Grand Turismo series, the selection of cars and tracks is quite low. That doesn’t mean you won’t enjoy the 460 on offer, however, because you most likely will.
Forza Motorsport 6 does, however, offer a first-rate racing simulator experience on the Xbox One, one that any racing enthusiast could be very happy with. Certainly, it’s a great improvement upon Forza 5. Overall, it’s a well made successor that will let you experience the joy of racing from your couch.

Forza 6 Director Defends Recent Microtransactions Update

http://i1.wp.com/www.eteknix.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/Forza6_E3_PressKit_08_WM-980x551.jpg?resize=800%2C450
Forza Motorsport 5 was a key launch title for Microsoft’s latest console but arguably the weakest so far due to a complete lack of content and microtransactions. The end result revolved around a fairly forgettable career mode, and core experience which felt unfinished. Thankfully, Forza Motorsport 6 resolved these major issues and received widespread positive reviews. The game’s impressive visuals and smooth 60 frames-per-second performance results in one of the best console racing games ever made! Initially, Forza 6 was praised for dropping obnoxious microtransactions and offering a large selection of vehicles. However, Forza Motorsport 6’s latest update has sneakily introduced microtransactions in a similar vein to Forza Horizon 2. Turn 10 Studios’ Creative Director, Dan Greenawalt made an interesting statement regarding the inclusion of microtransactions and said:

https://pbs.twimg.com/profile_images/430370014495920128/ddfTFtV0_normal.png Sid N John @IChequeredFlagI (https://twitter.com/IChequeredFlagI)
@dan_greenawalt (https://twitter.com/dan_greenawalt) @Turn10Studios (https://twitter.com/Turn10Studios) @ForzaMotorsport (https://twitter.com/ForzaMotorsport) how sad is it your introducing microstransactions again! Did you learn nothing!! #forza (https://twitter.com/hashtag/forza?src=hash) #Ptw (https://twitter.com/hashtag/Ptw?src=hash)

Follow (https://twitter.com/dan_greenawalt)
https://pbs.twimg.com/profile_images/525762802925858816/RKP9c0Eh_normal.jpeg Dan Greenawalt @dan_greenawalt (https://twitter.com/dan_greenawalt)

@IChequeredFlagI (https://twitter.com/IChequeredFlagI) @Turn10Studios (https://twitter.com/Turn10Studios) @ForzaMotorsport (https://twitter.com/ForzaMotorsport) game was designed, tuned and tested 100% without them, and you can turn them off.
<time class="dt-updated" datetime="2015-11-17T04:25:24+0000" pubdate="" title="Time posted: 17 Nov 2015, 04:25:24 (UTC)">4:25 AM - 17 Nov 2015</time> (https://twitter.com/dan_greenawalt/status/666472178179661824)

The update now incorporates in-game currency called Tokens which allows users to spend actual money in bundles costing between $1 to $100. Incorporating microtransactions in any full priced release isn’t treating consumers with respect and sadly, quite commonplace for the modern video games industry Furthermore, to introduce microtransactions post-launch is unbelievable and a complete breach of trust. It’s unfair mainly because consumers spend time researching a game’s pros and cons before making a purchase decision. Now, Turn 10 have included a negative aspect which people didn’t expect or pay for.

<iframe width="640" height="390" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/0nvLWpPNeIs" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

While Greenawalt claims the game was designed without microtransactions, why have they suddenly appeared? This seems like an ill-advised money-making scheme and creates the perception that Turn 10 is trying to eke out every penny from people’s pockets through DLC and now, microtransactions.

Watch Forza 6 Launch Trailer Made with Grand Theft Auto V

http://i1.wp.com/www.eteknix.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/forza-theft-auto-v-1.jpg?resize=800%2C424
We can easily say that Grand Theft Auto V for PC was one of the biggest games of 2015 and one of the games where we have seen most user-created work originate from. In the past, we mostly saw amazing Skyrim work and while that’s still being created and released, we’ve gotten a whole lot more Grand Theft Auto V content. The mods for the game allow you to take it to the next step, do new things, and recreate quite a few things. The newest remake in that regard is the Forza 6 Launch Trailer that was made entirely with the use of Grand Theft Auto V and its tools.
http://i0.wp.com/www.eteknix.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/forza-theft-auto-v-2.jpg?resize=800%2C423
As mentioned, the entire video that is embedded below was made with Grand Theft Auto V and its tools, but the creator also used a few mods in order to get it just right. Among the mods and tools used were the Project RELOAD GTA V Graphics enhancer, Simple Trainer, and various car mods.

“Come and join us in a whole new world of racing in our brand new games, Forza Theft Auto. Discover the fun of racing simulation while driving in a big open world while also ramming into people and kill them, by guns,” the video description reads.
The creator of the video was inspired by the official launch video several months ago and decided that it was worth a remake in Grand Theft Auto V. To avoid some copyright restrictions, the video was shortened by about 2 seconds over the original trailer and the sound was pitched down. Other than that, it looks pretty sweet and it is some amazing work.
http://i0.wp.com/www.eteknix.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/forza-theft-auto-v-3.jpg?resize=800%2C423
RavevnwestR1, as the YouTuber calls himself, made the video in just a couple of days and also stated that it isn’t perfect. He thinks he could do better, so we might see an upgraded version in the future. For now, you may just enjoy the work he’s already done.

<iframe width="640" height="390" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/dVIK0NbnQOQ" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Here is the original launch trailer for comparison purposes. What do you think? Did RavenwestR1 nail it with his rendition off Forza Theft Auto V? Let us know in the comments.

This isn’t the first remake that RavenwestR1 has made and you can find a lot more cool work on his YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC-Ui0KlUqKCll2i6eHmAwlg).

Surprising Forza 6 Porsche DLC accidentally leaked (http://www.tweaktown.com/news/50082/surprising-forza-6-porsche-dlc-accidentally-leaked/index.html)

Another inadvertent leak from Amazon seems to have revealed the presence of a rather spectacular Porsche specific expansion pack (http://amzn.to/1nzE9zl) coming for Forza Motorsport 6 (http://amzn.to/20iMl8M) sometime in the future.

http://imagescdn.tweaktown.com/news/5/0/50082_25_surprising-forza-6-porsche-dlc-accidentally-leaked.png (http://www.tweaktown.com/image.php?image=imagescdn.tweaktown.com/news/5/0/50082_25_surprising-forza-6-porsche-dlc-accidentally-leaked_full.png)

The expansion is supposed to include a variety of current, past and future Porsche vehicles that can be used in-game. According to the marketing description, there are a total of 20 different vehicles, including the 919 Hybrid. And of course there'll be Porsche-centric achievements that you can look forward to.

Turn 10 Studios and Microsoft haven't quite officially announced this expansion yet, though it won't be surprising if a statement is released shortly. Forza Motorsport 6 wasn't quite the revolutionary upgrade over its predecessor in terms of content, though the graphics, physics and physically modeled weather effects make for a fantastic racing game. When I reviewed it (for another site (http://wccftech.com/review/forza-motorsport-6-review/#comment-2243799820) unfortunately), the thrill of racing in a semi-realistic environment was very satisfying. Adding new cars should help to keep people interested and racing. The full marketing notes are below for the new (unofficial) Porsche expansion.

Explore the past, present, and future of Porsche in an all-new guided Porsche Anthology campaign experience, featuring 48 new events across all of the Porsche models featured in the expansion.
Collect, race, and customise 20 of Porsche's most famous cars, including nine models brand new to Xbox One. From groundbreaking early innovators like the 1957 356A Speedster to bleeding-edge engineering marvels like the 2015 #19 Porsche Team 919 Hybrid, the legacy of Porsche is on full display.
Compete in new Porsche-themed multiplayer Leagues, Hoppers, and Rivals events.
Virginia International Raceway makes its Forza Motorsport debut as a new track in Forza Motorsport 6. Tackle this classic American race track across seven distinct ribbons, all featuring night and wet configurations, and all running at glorious 1080p and 60 frames per second.

Enzo
03-02-16, 20:22
Sim. Idem (no 4). Aquela pista é simplesmente brutal.
O 5 é altamente dispensável. O 6 estou curioso.

Nirvana91
04-02-16, 10:15
A maior dificuldade que tive foi habituar-me ao comando da Xbox One. A sensibilidade é completamente diferente.

Mas passadas poucas horas, lá me habituei.

Se pegares num Subaru tens outro tipo de som and so on...

Quanto ao TCS, dá-me pica estar ali a controlar a aceleração do carro.

Neste, a maior novidade é a chuva e corridas à noite.

Forza Motorsport 6, Forza Horizon 3 Coming To Windows 10 – Rumor

Last week, Microsoft and Remedy Entertainment have made PC players happy by announcing that the highly anticipated Xbox One game Quantum Break is also going to be released on Windows 10 this April (http://wccftech.com/quantum-break-release-simultaneously-pc-xbox-april-5th-rumor/). According to a rumor that’s been circulating today, the Remedy Entertainment developed game isn’t the only Xbox One game that will be released on PC in the future.
http://cdn.wccftech.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/02/Forza-Motorsport-6-635x357.jpg (http://cdn.wccftech.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/02/Forza-Motorsport-6.jpg)
According to Chinese website WPDang (https://translate.google.com/translate?sl=auto&tl=en&js=y&prev=_t&hl=en&ie=UTF-8&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.wpdang.org%2Farchives%2F153891. html&edit-text=&act=url), Forza Motorsport 6, the Xbox One exclusive racing game released last year in all regions, and the yet to be officially unveiled Forza Horizon 3 will be released on the Windows Store in the future. The release of these games on the Windows Store is, according to an anonymous source, one of the steps Microsoft will take to make the Windows Store the main distribution channel for PC games. Since all of this has yet to be confirmed officially, we must take it with a grain of salt until an official announcement comes. At the same time, WPDang has proven to be quite reliable with Microsoft and Windows rumor, so there’s a decent chance that these games will indeed be coming to PC in the future.
Following Quantum Break’s PC announcement, Aaron Greenberg (http://wccftech.com/greenberg-bringing-quantum-break-to-windows-10-is-a-great-benefit-we-didnt-know-we-could-do-it-until-now/) has further elaborated on the Windows 10 release of the game, revealing that they weren’t even sure how or when they could get this version done. Mr. Greenberg also added that, in Microsoft’s eyes, bringing the game to PC is a huge benefit for all.

We weren’t sure how and when we could get the Windows 10 version done. They lined up [with the Xbox One version]; a lot of people’s reaction on Twitter was like, I get it, you want to bring this to a lot more gamers to play, but why didn’t you tell us about this before?
We didn’t know we could do this before.
Forza Motorsport 6 is now available on Xbox One in all regions. We’ll let you know more a possible PC release of the game as soon as possible.

Is Forza The Next Xbox IP Bound For Windows 10 PC?

http://cdn.wccftech.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/Forza-6-11-635x357.jpg
With the recent announcements of Quantum Break (launching on Windows 10 alongside Xbox One on April 5 (http://wccftech.com/quantum-break-release-simultaneously-pc-xbox-april-5th-rumor/)) and ReCore for PC, it’s pretty clear that Microsoft has modified its policy when it comes to bringing Xbox exclusives to the PC platform.
Admittedly, Xbox games have made the same jump in the past, with Fable – The Lost Chapters, Fable III, Gears of War, Alan Wake, Fable Anniversary and State of Decay being the most notable examples. However, there used to be an unwritten rule: these ports were mostly limited to secondary franchises and even when they weren’t, Microsoft only allowed it to happen after a certain period time had passed since the Xbox release, to avoid hurting its own console’s sales.
This is all changing in 2016, with Redmond’s giant bringing its heavy hitters to Windows 10 PC just like Head of Division Phil Spencer promised it would (http://wccftech.com/spencer-importance-games-windows-microsoft-strategy/).

Killer Instinct – March 2016
Quantum Break – April 5, 2016
Fable Legends Open Beta – Spring 2016
Gears of War: Ultimate Edition – Spring 2016
Ori and the Blind Forest: Definitive Edition – Spring 2016
Halo Wars 2 – Fall 2016
ReCore – 2016
Sea of Thieves – 2016
Gigantic – 2016

Why is it happening, though? On one hand, we have Xbox One faring considerably worse than its Xbox 360 predecessor in terms of sales; on the other hand, we have Microsoft realizing the sales potential of the huge Windows 10 PC install base, particularly if it could develop traction for its Windows Store (despite the current issues for games (http://wccftech.com/windows-store-terrible-support-games-microsoft-fix/)).
It just makes perfect business sense, then, and speculations have begun already on the next Xbox IP due to make the jump. Considering the current line-up, there are only two major franchises left for consideration: Halo and Forza.
From a business standpoint, it’s quite obvious which one should be chosen. While Halo is still a huge money making machine (Halo 5: Guardians broke the record for the biggest Halo launch in history (http://news.xbox.com/2015/11/04/halo-5-guardians-biggest-halo-launch-in-history/)), Forza Motorsport 6 barely made it past the one million sales milestone, registering similar results to Forza Motorsport 5 and Forza Horizon 2. There’s literally no doubt that these numbers could be vastly improved with a release on Windows 10, even just by looking at Rise of the Tomb Raider getting 3X digital sales (http://wccftech.com/rise-tomb-raider-pc-digital-sales-triple-xbox-digital-sales-month/) on PC versus Xbox One.
Moreover, PC gamers have been interested in Forza titles for a long time and Microsoft is fully aware of this. Now, it looks like their wish might be about to come true.

Free Forza Motorsport 6 PC version coming to Windows 10; Subtitled ‘Apex’

As we had speculated just a few days ago (http://wccftech.com/forza-xbox-ip-bound-windows-10-pc/), Microsoft will be bringing Forza Motorsport 6 to Windows 10. Forza Motorsport 6 PC is a ‘lite’ free version of the original Xbox One title, and will be called ‘Forza Motorsport 6: Apex’.
http://cdn.wccftech.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/forzamotorsport6pc-635x357.jpg (http://cdn.wccftech.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/forzamotorsport6pc.jpg)
The original Forza Motorsport 6 was released back last year for the Xbox One, and Microsoft will be bringing a slim version of the racer to PC. Microsoft announced the news during the Microsoft Xbox One/PC gaming event in San Francisco last month. During the event, Microsoft presented its upcoming Xbox One and PC titles.
Website Seattle Times broke the embargo first. At the moment of writing, they have already puled the original article, but a cached version is still available right here (http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:http://www.seattletimes.com/business/microsoft/microsoft-recommits-to-pc-as-place-for-new-video-games/) (the Internet doesn’t forget!). In any case, it’s all official now and you can check the gameplay trailer below.

Notably, all the titles Microsoft featured will have variants available on the PC.
Among them is “Forza Motorsport 6: Apex,” a version of the auto-racing franchise developed by Microsoft-owned Turn 10 Studios. “Apex,” a slimmed down version of its Xbox cousin, will be released free to users of Windows 10 this spring.
Advertisements

Racing games have long been used as showpieces of the amount of visual detail developers could pack into games running on new hardware and software. “Apex” is positioned as an effort to show off the gaming potential of Windows 10.
More and more Xbox One titles are being released for Windows 10, and the lite version of Forza seems to fit in Microsoft’s strategy to unite Xbox One and PC gamers. According Microsoft’s Phil Spencer, the team over at Microsoft is 100% committed to the PC gaming space.
“We are 100 percent committed to the PC-gaming space,” said Spencer. “That is a long-term commitment from us.”
Some might argue that with Microsoft’s PC commitment, their Xbox One might become unneeded. According to Spencer though (http://wccftech.com/xbox-head-phil-spencer-console-is-critical-to-our-success-xbox-games-on-pc-has-its-advantages/), it’s a matter of preference, and Microsoft will remain committed to making the Xbox One console, the best console experience possible.

All Future Forza Games To Be Developed For PC & Xbox One

http://cdn.wccftech.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/forza6_apex_4k-635x357.jpg (http://cdn.wccftech.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/forza6_apex_4k.jpg)
As we predicted (http://wccftech.com/forza-xbox-ip-bound-windows-10-pc/) just a few days ago, Forza Motorsport has finally made the jump to Windows 10 PC (http://wccftech.com/free-forza-motorsport-6-pc-version-windows-10-apex/) with Apex, a free-to-play (F2P) game due to launch later this Spring.
The initial roster will include 63 cars and 20 track configurations across six locations (Brands Hatch, Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, Rio de Janeiro, Sebring International Raceway, Top Gear and Yas Marina). If you’re underwhelmed that this is not the full fledged Forza Motorsport 6 game, don’t despair: this is merely the beginning.
The official announcement on Forza Motorsport’s website (http://forzamotorsport.net/en-us/news/FM6_Apex_Announce) already dropped a huge hint:

“Forza Motorsport 6: Apex” paves the way for future Forza experiences on Windows 10.
But there’s actual confirmation by two Turn 10 developers. Design Director Andy Beaudoin said to IGN (http://www.ign.com/articles/2016/03/01/forza-future-xbox-pc-games-absolutely-developing-concurrently) that all future Forza games will be developed concurrently for PC and Xbox One.
Advertisements

This is just the first step and this is why we can do it for free. The best way to learn to make a game on a platform is to ship a game on it…. It’s a great way for us to flex our muscle in the PC space and set the groundwork for future titles. As a franchise, we’re going to embrace that.
Creative Director Dan Greenawalt was even more explicit in his statement to PC Gamer (http://www.pcgamer.com/apex-paves-the-way-for-future-forza-games-on-pc/).

To me this is more about the long term future of the franchise. Having Forza tech underpin all Motorsport, Horizon—all Forza games moving forward—means that our games will be on all platforms, and that we can release them and deliver new and cool experiences that aren’t about the hardware. They’re about what we want to deliver to bring new gamers into this world.
He also explained that Forza 6 Apex began mostly a technical test for what’s to come.

What we started doing, because we’re first party, is porting our engine over to DirectX 12. Partially because we knew DirectX 12 was part of our future, but also because we want to make DirectX 12 better as a platform for developers and for gamers. We then started to do the same thing for [Universal Windows Platform], and we decided we should put those in the same branch.
It was recently announced that the Lamborghini Centenario will be the cover car of the next Forza game (which should be Forza Horizon 3, likely developed by Turn 10 and Playground Games), to be announced at E3 2016.

Forza 6 on PC won't have cross-play with Xbox One (http://www.tweaktown.com/news/50960/forza-6-pc-cross-play-xbox-one/index.html)

With the announcement (http://www.tweaktown.com/news/50771/report-forza-motorsport-6-apex-coming-pc-spring/index.html) of Forza Motorsport 6 Apex Edition, the thought was that we'd be able to compete with our friends on the Xbox One, at least with the courses available. That, however, has just been debunked and is completely untrue. Cross-play functionality is not going to make it into the PC version of Forza 6.

http://imagescdn.tweaktown.com/news/5/0/50960_1_forza-6-pc-cross-play-xbox-one.jpg (http://www.tweaktown.com/image.php?image=imagescdn.tweaktown.com/news/5/0/50960_1_forza-6-pc-cross-play-xbox-one_full.jpg)

Aaron Greenberg explained that the curated nature of the experience means that it's a Windows 10 only ordeal. He stated that it's not planned at the moment, though that it could be an option in the future. Right now they're concentrating on getting the game polished and released, with that feature possibly on the roadmap later. Of course, with enough pressure from fans, it might become a reality.

Forza Motorsport, and Horizon, have previously been Xbox exclusive games relegated to being the definitive racing sim experience on that platform. This will mark its debut on the PC following Microsoft's commitment to bridging the gap between console and PC games. Turn 10 Studios will be developing the PC version and implementing DirectX 12 and other more advanced effects as befits a proper PC port. Considering the wider use of UWP (http://www.tweaktown.com/news/50860/microsoft-universal-windows-platform-fully-open-ecosystem/index.html), this port could theoretically run quite well when released, if lessons are learned from the release of Gears of War: Ultimate Edition (http://www.tweaktown.com/news/50777/gears-war-ultimate-edition-another-pc-launch-disaster-amd/index.html) on the PC.

Boa noite,

Cumprimentos.

Formula E ‘Virtual Championship’ to Take Place on Forza 6

http://i1.wp.com/www.eteknix.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/maxresdefault3.jpg?resize=800%2C509
Not content in running only in the real world, Formula E, the racing series for specially designed electric cars, will be running a ‘virtual championship’ (http://www.theverge.com/2016/3/18/11261862/formula-e-forza-motorsport-6-esports-tournament-virtual-championship) that will take the form of a month-long eSports tournament on the popular racing sim, Forza Motorsport 6. The event will begin next weekend and take place across four rounds, with the ending set to coincide with the end of Formula E’s second real-life season. The prize up for grabs will be a share of a pot of €15,000, awarded as part of the final weekend of the series’ season.
Formula E’s cars were already added to Forza 6 last year, shortly before the game’s release and have already gathered popularity due to a number of Formula E events that have been held in the game over the length of the season. These “Race Off” events took place in real life, inviting gamers, YouTube personalities and even the real world Formula E drivers together to face off against each other in the game.
Unlike those events, the new “Pro Series” will take place entirely virtually, with each round providing competitors with a week to run time trials using the Formula E cars. After the event starts on the 24th, players will be able to join a special rivals event from the in-game Xbox Live lobby and compete for the best laps. When the first round ends on March 31st, those with the 10 best laps will be chosen to participate in a virtual final on April 2nd. This format will repeat 3 more times, with the last round ending on June 2nd. The top 2 from each round’s final will then be invited to London to go head to head with each other for a share of the €15,000.
It is exciting to see Formula E becoming so invested in engaging in the virtual as well as the real and makes many of the more traditional racing series look even more outdated by comparison. With AI racing already in the works (http://www.eteknix.com/formula-e-announces-driverless-championship/) and now a virtual racing championship, what exciting new ideas will Formula E come up with next?

Forza developer says its future games coming to Windows 10 and Xbox (http://www.tweaktown.com/news/51379/forza-developer-future-games-coming-windows-10-xbox/index.html)

Forza Motorsport developer Turn 10 has said that all of their future games will be coming to both the PC through Windows 10, and Xbox.

<iframe width="781" height="469" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/bQwmN48b3fo" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

This means that all future Forza games will be on Windows 10 and Xbox, which will have Forza fans more than pleased. In a video, Turn 10 said: "Moving forward, all of our games are going to be shipping on Windows 10 (PC) and Xbox".

The developer is knee deep in the development of Forza Motorsport 6: Apex for the PC, which will be a free game that will include new race modes that are designed to show off the excitement of Forza Motorsport 6, with 4K resolution support. Forza Motorsport 6: Apex is coming to Windows 10 later this year.
