Today, NUU Mobile (http://us.nuumobile.com/) launched its latest flagship smartphone, the NUU Z8. NUU Mobile is a company that is focused on building and selling high-quality unlocked mobile devices for a low cost. The brand launched in Asia in 2012 and is already growing its distributions in North and South America. NUU Mobile launched two other lower-end smartphones (http://www.tomshardware.com/news/nuu-mobile-android-unlocked-smartphones,28537.html) a few weeks ago, the X1 and the NU3S, which cost $230 and $180, respectively. The X1 came with a quad-core Snapdragon 400 chip, 1 GB of RAM, 16 GB of storage, a 5" 720p IPS display, 13 MP rear camera, 5 MP front camera, Bluetooth 4.0, LTE and dual-SIM support.
The NU3S launched with a lower-end dual-core Snapdragon 200 SoC, 1 GB of RAM, 4.7" 720p IPS screen, 8 GB of storage and Bluetooth 4.0, and it also has LTE and dual-SIM support, which can be especially useful for travel. Both phones run Android 4.4 KitKat.

It also comes with a higher resolution 5.5" 1080p screen, twice as much storage as the X1 (32 GB), double the RAM as both the previous models (2 GB), a 13 MP camera with Sony lens, an 8 MP wide-angle camera that's optimized for selfies, and 802.11ac Wi-Fi, which the other two don't support. The device also has Bluetooth 4.0, LTE and dual-SIM support, and it runs Android 5.0 Lollipop.

“We want to give our customers a phone that provides top quality specs, unmatched power and all of the benefits of the new Lollipop operating system without forcing high prices or locked contracts onto them," said NUU Mobile General Manager Danny Sit.
“The Z8 is our highest performing phone yet and we are thrilled to offer a top quality smartphone while staying true to our commitment to freedom and flexibility."

Unlocked 32 GB NUU Mobile Z8 With Dual-LTE SIM Now Available For $300

http://media.bestofmicro.com/D/F/514995/gallery/nuu-z8_w_600.jpg (http://www.tomshardware.com/gallery/nuu-z8,0101-514995-0-2-12-1-jpg-.html)
Earlier this year, NUU Mobile announced (http://www.tomshardware.com/news/nuu-z8-64-bit-dual-sim-lollipop,28827.html) its Z8 flagship device that promised dual-LTE SIM capability, a 64-bit octa-core processor and 32 GB of storage for $300. The smartphone is now available for sale through online retailers such as Best Buy, Target, HSN and Amazon, as well as NUU's own website (http://nuumobile.studioauthentic.com/product_page/z8-powered-for-performance/).

“We are excited to offer our customers an unlocked phone that provides top quality specs, unmatched power and all the benefits of the Lollipop operating system, without forcing high prices or locked contracts on them," said John Murtha, vice president of sales for NUU Mobile.
“The Z8 is our highest performing phone yet, and we are thrilled to deliver a fully-loaded smartphone that stays true to our commitment to freedom and flexibility."
The NUU Z8 features a 64-bit ARMv8 MediaTek MTK6752 SoC with an eight-core Cortex-A53 CPU and a Mali-T760 GPU for high-performance gaming.
The device also comes with a larger 5.5" screen and Full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution, 2 GB of RAM, 32 GB of storage, a 13MP rear camera with a Sony BSI sensor, and an 8MP front-camera with wide-angle lenses, possibly making it one of the best smartphones for selfies on the market. It also has LTE connectivity with dual-LTE SIM support, Bluetooth 4.0, noise cancelling audio, and a 2,650 mAh battery.

Because the NUU Z8 is an unlocked device, its dual-SIM capability can support either a personal phone number and a business one from the same network, or two numbers from two different networks.
NUU Mobile will offer the 32 GB version of the Z8 in Brushed Black, Brushed White and limited edition colors and patterns in the future. The company will also release a 16 GB model in early August through its own website. This version will cost $250 and will be available only in the Brushed Black color. Both models will run Android 5.0 out of the box.
