Final Fantasy Type-0 is Coming to the PC

MSI has issued a press release about its presence at this year’s Computex, and revealed some very excited information. It appears that Square Enix will work with MSI to have a global launch of Final Fantasy Type-0 at MSI’s Computex Booth.

Final Fantasy Type-0 will be demonstrated on the MSI GS60 Red version and GS70 Silver version.
Final Fantasy Type-0 brings an immersive world, memorable characters and the production value known of the series, together with high quality gameplay and storytelling truly worthy of the Final Fantasy name.

“Step into the fray as Class Zero, a group of students from an elite military academy whose country is attacked by an aggressive neighboring Empire. In the brutal and harrowing struggle that follows, you must engage a range of powerful magical and combat abilities using a new battle system, to conquer the Empire and uncover the secrets behind the battle.”

The year 842 is the beginning of the end. In an act of unprovoked aggression, the Militesi Empire invaded the Dominion of Rubrum. Imperial dreadnoughts swarmed the skies, assailing the unsuspecting countryside under the banner of the White Tiger. From amidst the flames of the besieged dominion, the Vermilion Bird rose in defiance, her crystal granting magic and mighty eidolons that her disciples might cast out the technologically advanced aggressors.
Thrust into the tumult of war, the fate of the world and its four crystals now rests on the shoulders of fourteen brave, young warriors.
Final Fantasy Type-0 has recently released on the the current-gen consoles and was very well received. Whether this release point towards something greater, like a potential release of Final Fantasy XV on the PC, it remains to be seen.
Regardless, Square Enix (http://wccftech.com/square-enix-developing-ips-reboots-existing/) will certainly have some very exciting announcements for both console and PC gamers, during their E3 2015 press conference (http://wccftech.com/square-enix-reschedules-e3-conference-nintendo/) on June 16th. Deus Ex: Mankind Divided (http://wccftech.com/deus-mankind-divided-lead-actor-details-experience-adam-jensen/), which was introduced with a magnificent cinematic trailer (http://wccftech.com/deus-mankind-divided-revealed-trailer-features-dx12-tressfx-support-dawn-engine/), had very little information revealed about it so far, and a complete lack of gameplay footage. Kingdom Hearts 3, similarly made no appearances for some time, and after the transition of the game to the Unreal Engine 4 (http://wccftech.com/unreal-engine-4-boy-kite-demo-assets-download/), fans have been eager to see Kingdom Hearts in action. Final Fantasy XV will surely make the show, as will the hugely anticipated Just Cause 3 (http://wccftech.com/3-gameplay-reveal-trailer-released-shows-explosive-action-preorder-bonuses-release-date/).
Square Enix has not officially announced anything about a PC version of Final Fantasy Type-0, but we will bring you any new information as soon as it becomes available.

Square Enix has confirmed via Final Fantasy’s Twitter account, that Final Fantasy Type-0 HD will be indeed coming to the PC and similarly to all other Final Fantasy games, Type-0 HD will be released on Steam.
Hopefully this an indication that a Final Fantasy XV announcement is coming soon either during the company’s E3 2015 press conference or during Gamescom. Square Enix have previously announced that the title will not be present at the E3 event, so if this holds true, we might be seeing the title and a potential PC announcement at Gamecom in August.

Square Enix usually has its games showcased during the conferences of Microsoft and Sony but this year it appears that they are holding their own conference. The company certainly has quite a selection of huge titles to demonstrate, some of which could benefit immensely from both the time and focus in order to do them justice.
Rise of the Tomb Raider (http://wccftech.com/rise-tomb-raider-stand-story-hubs-times-larger/) is another huge title coming from Square Enix, but it is certain that Microsoft will have the title showcased in their own press conference, as it is one of their biggest exclusives of the year. It is quite possible that Square Enix will have a few surprise announcements as well, so we are certainly in for a treat, as E3 2015 is shaping up to be one very incredibly exciting event with many announcements coming from both Sony and Microsoft. Nintendo is returning to host a press conference after being absent for some time. Both Bethesda and Square Enix are holding their first press conferences, and Ubisoft will surely have a ton of great announcements as usual, as well as demonstrations of Assassin’s Creed Syndicate (http://wccftech.com/assassins-creed-syndicate-officially-revealed-good-trailers-gameplay-walkthrough/), The Division (http://wccftech.com/tom-clancys-division-launch-date-revealed/), and Rainbow Six Siege (http://wccftech.com/rainbow-siege-meet-operators/).
We will bring you any new information on Square Enix, Deus Ex and other projects, as well as any news about E3 2015 (http://wccftech.com/e3-2015-press-conference-schedule-games-list/)as soon as it becomes available. Be sure to check out our Deus Ex: Mankind Divided (http://wccftech.com/deus-mankind-divided-information-dx12-title-deus-universe/) and Just Cause 3 (http://wccftech.com/3-prepurchase-pc-10-exclusive-bonus-content/) coverage for more information on the titles.
