Resident Evil 6 Receives Rating for Xbox One and PS4 in Korea

It would appear that Resident Evil 6 has appeared (http://www.grb.or.kr/Statistics/Popup/Pop_StatisticsDetails.aspx?cdb3c0b62aaccbb165cc9b8 75e28ddc6cecd98f227eaeaf17ed258610ac557e8) on the Korean Game Rating Board for the Xbox One and the PS4. This comes despite no official word from Capcom regarding the further remastering of their prolific series.

Resident Evil 6 is inbound for the Xbox One and the PS4. At least it’s been rated in Korea. Capcom has committed remastering their older titles in addition to working on newer titles. They’ve been very adamant about providing the original horror experience with Resident Evil 1 and Resident Evil 0 HD being greatly successful. It’s only natural that Resident Evil 6 continues that trend. Though there has been no official news from Capcom, perhaps this is indicative of an imminent announcement about the continuation of their remastering.
Resident Evil 6 was originally released in October 2012 for the PS3 and the Xbox 360 as well as in March 2013 for the PC. It isn’t old, per-se, so having it be on the schedule for a remaster compared to some of the older and more titular titles is a bit interesting. But perhaps the work with emulation (http://wccftech.com/ps2-emulation-ps4-confirmed-sony/) on the PS4 will help speed along bringing the rest of the series at least to the PlayStation 4

Resident Evil 6, 5, 4 Launching On PlayStation 4 And Xbox One This Year, New Trailer Released

No new main entry of the Resident Evil series has been released since the sixth game, and the only games Capcom has managed to release for the series in recent times are the classic Resident Evil and Resident Evil Zero, not counting Resident Evil Revelations 2. It seems like, however, the Japanese publisher is not yet done releasing older entries of the series on current gen console, as three more classic Resident Evil have been confirmed today for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Resident Evil 6 will be the first of these remasters to hit PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The game will be released on March 29th for the price of $19.99 / €19.99. Resident Evil 5 will be released on a yet to be confirmed Summer 2016 date, while Resident Evil 4 sometime this Fall. All three games will also be released at retail in North America.

Resident Evil 6 is the biggest Resident Evil game to date with not one (Leon S. Kennedy and Helena Harper), not two (Chris Redfield and Piers Nivans), not even three (Jake Muller and Sherry Birkin), but FOUR (Ada Wong and Agent) campaigns that are all interwoven and can be played alone or coop in any order. These series staples and new characters face a global C-virus outbreak that’s threatening to destroy the world. In addition to all the story campaigns, RE6 includes a variety of multiplayer modes that vary up the action. Extra good news for everyone – the upcoming release will also include all the additional post-launch content from the console version (DLC and all the costumes originally only available through ResidentEvil.net).
Some screenshots have also been made available today, and you can check them out right below.
