    Boas!
Deixo aqui a minha Review feita no IMDB deste filme...
    Não têm spoilers...

"Star Wars is back and its incredible!, 19 December 2015

Well... The wait is over... Star Wars: The force Awakens is upon us... But does all the hype around this movie worth it?
Well... it does! JJ Abrams have done an incredible job, delivering the best Star Wars to date... It ties very well it the Return of the Jedi, and pay a respectful homage to the original Trilogy.
Away are the almost cartoony and super colorful images of the prequel trilogy, and a much more realistic and mature color palette is inserted this time.

All the footage was very well handled and the pacing was correct from start to finish...
There is a moment in the middle of the movie that is truly amazing and very touching... Who have already seen the movie knows what im talking about...
Clearly is a joy to see the old gang coming back for one more ride, and like i was expecting, they are wonderful on their parts... (on my theater ppl even clap hands when Han Solo, Chewie, Leia, got their first act...

The new cast are very good and very likable... Fin and Rey, really do mix well and they are very good to see and they are truly good young actors...
BB-8 is a little like "Wall-E", is a very cute and expressive little robot, that convey emotions just like a person would do... Its very nice to watch him go, and very funny on some parts of the film.

About the villains, i did like the Keylo Ren Character, he was convincing as a bad guy, but really there is layers to his part... I also did like the more realistic "Force Powers"... Force Grab for instance is way more realistic and it really feels that something is pulling and grabbing. Incredible job there...
I did like the new order feel... It looked and feeled like a the Nazy Party, with a very menacing feel to it...

Story... Well ppl did say on the others reviews, that was a remade or remake of the Ep 4... That is rubbish... The stories might look close at first eye but they are not...
The story was very engaging and heart pounding... I was most of my time on the edge of the seat, with the expectation of the next part of the story...
Its truly great and with a lot of heart on it... We really do care about our heroes...

Finally VFX... They are top notch like it was expected from a $200 Million Movie. The mix of practical effects and CGI, does work great and gives the feel of a more realistic look on the movie...
I did not see any less great VFX, and photography was for the most part perfect.

    Final Thoughts...
Star Wars is back, and its JJ Abrams time! After some lackluster prequels that where just too much unrealistic and colorful, we are back at the vision that was created on SW EP 4 and 5.
It have it all... Old cast is back, new cast is in... Great and Heart Moving Story, that will finish with a hope note! For me its the best movie of the year!

Clearly its a 9 out of 10. Well worth the price of the ticket... If you can go see it in IMAX!

    Best Regards,
    LPC"

Ansioso por ver a continuação.. que tem potencial para ser ainda melhor, porque as personagens novas estão apresentadas e já se fez o ponto de situação em relação às personagens antigas.
    Isto.

Aquilo que vi, agradou-me bastante. E eu não sou, de todo, fã da saga.

Star Wars Force is with Nvidia

Success is thumbs up for chipmaker

Star Wars is cleaning up the pre-Christmas theatre but it appears that behind the scenes the dark side is cheering.

March Nvidia CEO Jen-Hsun Huang made clear that Star Wars was using Nvidia technology to make the next Star Wars movie. Apparently most of it was rendered on Nvidia Quadro M6000 graphics cards although th CPUs were Intelish.
So far Nvidia’s marketing machine has not made much hay from what is an obvious marketing opportunity. This might be because one of them costs $4,950 so the green goblin is not going to sell many anyway.
Still AMD fanboys will probably complain that Disney should have waited for Zen to come out as they have been for the last year every time figures show that Nvidia is doing better. That is not saying that Nvidia is great, but at the moment AMD's CPU division could be beaten up by a couple of Ewoks on their way to collect their disability benefit. Of course if they called Zen, Jedi they might have had it out sooner.
The Force Awakens has been breaking domestic records, including the biggest single-day gross ($120.5 million), biggest Thursday preview ($57 million), best December debut and multiple IMAX records. Worldwide, it's estimated to rake in $517 million over its first five days.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens had the biggest US opening of all time

We all knew that Star Wars: The Force Awakens would break records, with J.J. Abrams' latest movie pulling in a huge $238 million in its opening weekend in the United States. The Force Awakens had already broken single-day records with $57 million.

As for the global numbers, The Force Awakens looks to have taken in $517 million - a mind-blowingly huge number. Rival distributors are saying that The Force Awakens grossed closer to $245 million domestically, with the final numbers to be released on Monday. Prior to this huge haul from The Force Awakens, the previous record holder was Jurassic World with $208.8 million worldwide.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens scooped up the second-biggest start behind Jurassic World (which pulled in $524.9 million), which had help from its Chinese box office numbers. The Force Awakens doesn't open up in China, which is the second-largest moviegoing market in the world, until January 9. Walt Disney Studios chairman, Alan Horn, said in a statement: "Our sole focus has been creating a film that delivers that one-of-a-kind Star Wars experience, and director J.J. Abrams, Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy and the Lucasfilm team have outdone themselves".

Pre-orders for 'Force Awakens' Blu-ray and DVD open already

With 'The Force Awakens' storming the worldwide box office and perhaps poised to challenge 'Avatar's reign at the top of the all-time box office charts, Walt Disney and Lucasfilm are capatilising on the immense public awareness for the theatrical release by opening up pre-orders for the home video Blu-ray and DVD versions of the film.

The world's largest e-tailer Amazon and others such as Australia's JB Hi-Fi chain are all taking orders, with the latter confirming an April 20th release date for the 2 disc Blu-ray, alongside a steelbook release and a single disc DVD. Curiously, no retailers have yet accepted pre-orders for a 3D Blu-ray release, but that's expected to street alongside the standard 2D version.

Nintendo 64 mod inspired by Star Wars: The Force Awakens looks awesome

With Star Wars: The Force Awakens breaking box office records all around the world, this new Nintendo 64 mod inspired by The Force Awakens deserves some serious credit.

Artist Vaud Amka used The Force Awakens as an inspiration for the N64 console, something that took him around 30 hours to make. Everything from the hammered aluminum, down to the sanding and melting tin sheets were pumped into the N64 console and controller. The results? Freakin' awesome.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens Shatters Box Office Records With $238 Million U.S. Opening

First of all, no spoilers here -- feel free to continue reading. And secondly anxious fans new and old lined up in record number over the weekend to watch Star Wars: The Force Awakens, the first in a new trilogy set decades after the events of Return of the Jedi. It's also the first Star Wars film to be distributed by owner Disney, though that's not the only reason this weekend was a historical event.

The Force Awakens raked in an estimated $238 million in the U.S. during its first three days on the big screen, including $57 million in Thursday night preview viewings. Combined with another $279 million from international ticket sales, The Force Awakens debuted to $517 million over the weekend, more than double the previous record of $208.8 million set by Jurassic World earlier in the year.

That's not the only record the new Star Wars flick broke. It also set simultaneous records for the biggest Friday, opening day, and single day box office revenue by with $120.5 million in first day ticket sales. The previous opening day record for December was $84.62 million set by The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey.

Disney has to be pleased with the fan reception after gambling $4.05 billion on the franchise, which is the amount it paid George Lucas in cash and stock back in 2012 for Lucasfilm Ltd. and the rights to Star Wars.

Reviews of The Force Awakens have been overwhelmingly positive. Over at Rotten Tomatoes, a site that aggregates reviews from around the web, the new Star Wars movie holds a 95 percent approval rating among professional critics and is sitting handsomely at 92 percent among the general public.

Disney and director J.J. Abrams have successfully reinvigorated the franchise, but whether or not The Force Awakens is able to sink Titanic (No. 2) and leapfrog Avatar (No. 1) as the highest grossing film of all time remains to be seen.

Classic Star Wars trilogy gets recreated in 8-Bit graphics

In celebration of everything Star Wars, CineFix has spun 8-bit gold by recreating the original trilogy as if it were an old Nintendo game.

With Star Wars: The Force Awakens utterly smashing box office records and invading our galaxy, the Force has never been stronger with gamers and ultra-geeks. Just about everyone is scouring the web looking for supplemental Star Wars entertainment, whether it be reviews, comics, books, games or super nerdy live-action battle reenactments. The clip above does just that and more: it reminds you what your childhood could have been like if this "game" had indeed been real.

Although J.J. Abrams has taken us on a new journey across the future of the franchise, CineFix takes us back to where it all began. The sci-fi adventures of our youth are re-visited with an epic excursion into the heart of Star Wars magic. A smattering of memorable scenes have been recreated in painstakingly awesome 8-bit detail, chronicling Star Wars: A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back, and Return of the Jedi in progressive stages of console history. A New Hope, for example, resembles the early NES version of The Legend of Zelda, whereas Return of the Jedi takes on a Genesis-style action side-scroller feel.

So sit back and get ready for a double dose of nerd nostalgia in all of its pixelated glory.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens (2015) Cinema Movie Review

Star Wars: The Force Awakens (2015)

Over a decade has passed since the release of the last Star Wars film, Revenge of the Sith, which according to creator George Lucas was purposefully designed to close the loop (and the door) on the sci-fi film franchise for good. But in November 2012, Lucas threw a wholly unexpected curveball by announcing the acquisition of the franchise by Disney, who intended to exploit the series with new films following the classic gang of Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, and Princess Leia.

Just over three years later, and the first entry in the newly reinvigorated series is hard to avoid, with fans waiting with baited brief to see if The Force Awakens can restore the series to its former glory. Is it possible that the family-friendly Disney corporation can satisfy long-time fans, while fostering a new generation and dare I say, bring balance to the Force?

30 years from the events of Return of the Jedi, which saw the annihilation of the Empire, the last Jedi Knight; Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) has fled into exile. In his absence, a new threat has emerged - neither Sith nor Dark Jedi but born out of the power of the dark side of the Force. Resembling the Empire, the militarized First Order is intent on destroying the last vestiges of the Galactic Republic and the rebellion it tacitly supports. Equipped with an immensely powerful super weapon and flanked by the unpredictable, yet powerful Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) who's determined to complete Darth Vader's former mission, the resistance is in dire need of a rebalance of the Force if it's to survive.

While expectations are sky high for the relaunched Star Wars saga, the benchmark for success has undoubtedly been dramatically lowered by the standard set by its prequel forebears. Bolstered by the re-appearance of Luke, Han, Leia, Chewie and Darth Vader (albeit in the visage of a post-funeral pyre charred helmet), an emphasis on analog visual effects (Real sets! Rubber suits!), more dramatic storytelling (the thankful absence of tax disputes and political shenanigans), not to mention a keen awareness of what fans actually want to see, I'm pleased to report that J.J. Abrams hasn't let fans down.
    Toda a review:

Star Wars: The Force Awakens has already pulled $610 million worldwide

Star Wars: The Force Awakens continues to print money, with Disney's latest blockbuster flying past $610 million in worldwide ticket sales. In the US alone, it has become the fastest movie to hit $250 million.

The Force Awakens has outperformed Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2 for Saturday sales, in a big way. Star Wars: The Force Awakens has broken pretty much every record possible: largest Thursday preview, global IMAX opening record, largest Friday, largest Saturday, largest Sunday, largest Monday, largest 4-day gross, biggest domestic opening, biggest worldwide opening and so many more records.

The latest news is that The Force Awakens will beat the current #1 box office champion: Avatar. Considering Avatar pulled in $580 in its first week, The Force Awakens is definitely doing a good job towards its battle to the #1 grossing movie of all time. Avatar sits at the top of the worldwide gross of $2.78 billion, which I think The Force Awakens will beat in the end.

The next big movie that will shatter records, in my opinion, will be Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice in March 2016 - two months later we'll also have Captain America: Civil War to enjoy.

One dedicated Star Wars fan sat through The Force Awakens nine times

While The Force Awakens has made $610 million worldwide so far, there is one fan that would be the biggest Star Wars fan of all time. Jim Barden from Austin, Texas enjoyed a 30-hour Star Wars marathon, afterwhich he was named the biggest Star Wars fan.

The Alamo Drafthouse declared Bardin the biggest Star Wars fan after they invited nine people from around the United States to sit through the original Star Wars trilogy, the prequel trilogy and then various screenings of The Force Awakens. Barden has now seen The Force Awakens nine times, taking out the award of the biggest Star Wars fan ever.

The Hollywood Reporter spoke with Barden, asking how he managed to stay away, and to not go crazy after the huge Star Wars marathon. Barden said: "I guess I took a sort of scientific approach. I planned accordingly". Barden snacked on peppermint chewing gum and smelling lime wedges to keep himself awake, instead of chowing down on energy drinks and heavy meals that can push you into a food coma.
