Batman vs Superman Trailer Leaked!

Well it’s finally starting, leaked trailers of THE superhero film. Yes we have The Avengers which is awesome, but this is just something that will stir inside us. Back in the day, at one time or another; we all thought about “What if Superman fought Batman/ Wolverine/ Ironman/ Thor?” Obviously Superman is pretty much indestructible, so first thought is Batman is going down and hard.
Now this isn’t the first trailer for the new film, we have the official teaser, but this one seems a lot darker and sinister.





Very dark stuff indeed. It has been doing the rounds on Twitter, some mocking how dark it is. At points during the trailer, you can hear the chanting of “Go Home, Go Home!” over and over, something that really resonated with me. It seems like this film is all about a public uproar and how heroes should be banding together, but are instead ripping each other apart.
How do you feel with the new film and how this trailer portrays it? Do you think that the only way to get reactions from the target audience is to turn everything into a dark thriller? Heck even Disney are going down the dark path with some of their newer live action films.

Edit: Confirmo é mesmo o Jeremy Irons... Vamos ver como vai ser este filme gosto do tom dark do mesmo, pelo que espero que seja um filme ao bom estilo do Chris Nolan + Jack Snyder...

'Furious 7' races past $1B at the worldwide box office

I might have eviscerated it in my recent review, but perhaps unsurprisingly, the latest instalment in the 'Fast and the Furious' franchise has grossed a spectacular $1 billion at the international box office in just 17 days, joining an elite club of 20 such films - and marks a first for Universal Pictures.

While 1993's 'Jurassic Park' grossed over $1 billion in its combined 1993 and 2013 releases, 'Furious 7' has become the first film to gross that amount in it's initial release. Vice-Chairman of NBC Universal Ron Meyer wrote in a blog-post that "I am incredibly proud of the motion picture team at Universal, the cast and filmmakers of the FAST & FURIOUS for all they have done to take our original idea and evolve it into a huge, global, blockbuster franchise."

As a comparison, the first 'The Fast and the Furious' film in 2001 grossed $207 million worldwide. How's that for stock appreciation? It remains to be seen whether June's release of the much-anticipated 'Jurassic World' can top it, and it's predecessor. After some mediocre years for the 103 year old studio, they'll certainly be hoping.

'Fantastic 4' film reboot takes shape in new trailer

Joining a busy summer blockbuster season is a reboot for Marvel and Stan Lee's 'Fantastic Four', which comes just 8 years on from the release of the last film which starred a pre-'Captain America' Chris Evans, Jessica Alba and Ioan Gruffudd. Twentieth Century Fox has now moved to completely reset the franchise, under the watch of 'Chronicle' director Josh Trank.






Even with a huge budget and the full backing of the studio keen to hold onto rare, non-Disney owned Marvel licenses, many fans are slightly on edge at the film's prospects under such a young director, but grow a little more confident with each new trailer. The latest reveals fan-favourite villain Doctor Doom as a leading adversary.

Live Action Attack on Titan trailer 2 lands

The Attack on Titan live action movie has had some fans concerned for a while, with its B movie look in an early trailer and the fact that technology of the time appears to include rocket launchers, something certainly lacking from the pseudo medieval setting of the manga/anime. Still, the movie is continuing apace and today we have a new trailer that adds to the creep factor and suggests the movie could be a little better than previously expected.




In this latest showing off the movie, we get a much more close up look at our pal the Colossal Titan, as well as a lot of panicking humans. The latter half however shows humanity’s response to the Titan menace, including some fan favourite characters like Hange Zoe – who appears suitably crazy, as she does in the original material.
As usual with a lot of adaptations though – Game of Thrones being a prime example – a good number of ages have been adjusted for the movie. Eren and Mikasa both appear to be in their late teens, rather than 12-13 as they are in the early stages of the story. There is also a predominance of Asian actors, despite that heritage being said to have almost died out in the manga – but that’s understandable given where the movie was filmed.

Batman vs. Superman Trailer Recreated With Lego is Epic

I love a little bit of Lego animation from time to time, mostly because you’re never too old for Lego, but also because I appreciate the time and effort people put into these fun little projects, just to amuse random people on the internet.
The movie is already shaping up to be quite an interesting addition to the whole comic book movie scene, despite many lingering questions over how ridiculous it is going to be. If you haven’t seen the original trailer which leaked a few days ago, I wouldn’t want to spoil anything for you in the form of Lego animation; you can check out the original trailer right here.

The original trailer is certainly dark and intense and it’s great to see that none of that is lost in the Lego version, although I now wonder if this movie will get the now seemingly obligatory Lego game release, just like virtually every other film does these days.




Will you be in the line to see the new movie on release day? After an intense trilogy at the hands of Christopher Nolan, I’m eager to see how this new Batman holds up, not to mention settle the debate of who will win, Batman or Superman?

Full 'Jurassic World' trailer delivers the dino goods

With all the main studios battling it out to 'win' the summer blockbuster season, and with Universal Studios emboldened by their $1B payday for 'Furious 7' they're going in all guns blazing (literally) with their promotion plans for the much anticipated sequel 'Jurassic World' - the first entry in the dinosaur franchise since 2001's 'Jurassic Park III'.




With visual effects provided by Industrial Light and Magic, the dinosaurs of 'Jurassic World' should look more impressive that ever - a far cry from the low res renders from the original classic 'Jurassic Park'.

Starring Chris Pratt from last years sci-fi mega-hit 'Guardians of the Galaxy', 'Jurassic World' hits hits in 3D, 2D and IMAX screens worldwide on June 12.

'Independence Day 2' welcomes back President Whitmore and Dr. Okun

With filming set to start in a matter of weeks on the sequel to the 1996 sci-fi classic 'Independence Day', casting news is coming thick and fast. Now, two of the original 'ID4' stars have joined the production.

According to ComingSoon, three veterans from the original film, including Bill Pullman, who played fighter pilot turned President James Whitmore, 'Star Trek: The Next Generation' star Brent Spiner who played eccentric Area 51 scientist Dr. Okun, and Judd Hirsch who played Jeff Goldblum's dad have all signed to reprise their roles. Directed by Roland Emmerich with a script by Carter Blanchard, there's currently little known about the plot - but expect more aliens and explosions.

WB signs massive multi-picture tentpole deal with IMAX through to 2020

Warner Bros. has some seriously large tentpole movies coming out in the next five years, with movies like Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice next year, followed by Suicide Squad, Godzilla 2 and many more.

The company has announced a new multi-picture agreement with IMAX Corporation that will see 30 films from Warner Bros. upcoming line up through 2020, as a continuation of the companies' continued partnership. Under this new agreement, "IMAX will be part of a number of high-profile tentpoles from Warner Bros. Pictures, including The Man from U.N.C.L.E., In the Heart of the Sea, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, the Tarzan movie, the King Arthur movie, Suicide Squad, Geostorm, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, Jungle Book: Origins, and Godzilla 2. The deal also encompasses a number of upcoming DC tentpoles, as well as future LEGO movies, including The LEGO Movie Sequel", reports Cosmic Book News.

IMAX CEO Richard L. Gelfond has said: "We've had an incredible partnership with Warner Bros. for more than 10 years, which has helped IMAX filmgoers enjoy Warner movies around the world. We're excited and grateful to extend that partnership".

This is exciting news, especially with Warner Bros. upcoming movies like Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Godzilla 2 and many more of DC's tentpoles splashing up onto IMAX's screens.
