iPhone 7 Will Be A Terrific Smartphone, If Not For This Little Detail Missing

iPhone 7 is going to sport a ton of improvements over its predecessors, which obviously includes improved hardware. However, it is this one little detail that we feel should be present inside the upcoming flagship device.

Wireless Noise Cancelling Earpods Will Not Be A Part Of The Upcoming iPhone 7 – According To Two Analysts

According to two analysts, Blayne Curtis and Christopher Hemmelgarn, Apple will include a Lightning-equipped headphone with the iPhone 7, but will not purchase Cirrus’ noise-cancelling technology for in-box headphones until the iPhone 7s, which is most likely going to take place during September 2017. In their findings, the analysts have stated the following:
“We still believe there is potential for AAPL to add ANC in the IP7S but believe AAPL is including just the digital headphone in the IP7 this year. We do believe there are aftermarket AAPL and Android opportunities this year, and we have included only 7.5M units in FY17 as those sales. Recent speculation surrounding the elimination of the headphone jack in the IP7 is consistent with this move as AAPL will need to provide a digital headset inbox but likely was not willing to spend the extra cost for the ANC functionality.”

    Advertisements

We already know that iPhone 7 is going to be a cut above the rest, because according to our latest report, the upcoming handset and its larger screen brother, iPhone 7 Plus are going to sport 256GB, which is twice the amount that was present inside the tech giant’s current generation iPhones. In addition, it is also expected that iPhone 7 Plus will come with a 3,100mAh, meaning that iPhone 7 will come with a larger battery as opposed to iPhone 6s.

Additionally, it is expected that the handset is going to be incorporated with a dual-lens camera, along with the company’s own developed A10 SoC, which is going to be manufactured on the 10nm FinFET node, resulting in much better performance and efficiency. We will continue to keep you posted on details, but as far as things go, what do you think of the upcoming iPhone 7? Let us know your thoughts.

Apple’s iPhone 7 To Replace 3.5mm Jack With Speaker Internal Memo Suggests

The rumor, leak and speculation mill has been quite kind to us when it comes to the iPhone 7. While information about Apple’s flagship smartphone generally doesn’t start surfacing at full flow before summers, this year we’re starting to see things get interesting from early on. Courtesy of the various leaks and rumors so far, we’ve managed to gather quite a bit about some rather interesting features on 2016’s flagship smartphones from Apple. Today there’s more news about the 3.5mm headphone jack on the device, and Apple’s plans for it, so take a look below to find out more.

The iPhone 7 Will Replace The 3.5mm Headphone Jack With A Secondary Speaker

Taking a look at things that have surfaced so far, we’ve seen some rather interesting details and upgrades mentioned with regards to the iPhone 7. While Apple was left quite constrained when it comes to design changes on the iPhone 6s and the iPhone 6s Plus, the iPhone 7 should give the Cupertino manufacturer a lot of room to flex its creative muscles.
Today, according to a research memo making rounds over at Barclays, Apple’s got some interesting plans for its next flagship smartphone it seems. Not only will the company do away completely with the 3.5mm headphone jack on the iPhone 7 – something which has been in the rumor mill for quite a while, but the company will instead replace it with a secondary speaker. Such a simple change could make the iPhone 7 even more powerful when it comes to multimedia features; something which Apple prides itself on.
    Advertisements

Not only is Apple expected to remove the 3.5mm headphone jack from the iPhone 7, but to make up for headphone compatibility, the device will also be coming with lightning-based earphones this time around. So for all those users who like to listen to music on their smartphone while its on the charge, you might be in for a bit of disappointment this year.
Furthermore, this year’s iPhone won’t be coming with noise-cancelling earphones according to the latest information. Noise-cancelling earphones combined with lightning compatibility have been mentioned together previously, so these latest developments do add a nice twist. Nevertheless, its still almost seven months until Apple should launch the iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus, so nothing’s set in stone as of now. Thoughts? Let us know what you think in the comments section below and stay tuned for the latest.

The iPhone 7 To Feature Increased Display Resolutions As Apple Supplier Upgrades Critical Components

When it comes to the rumor/speculation mill, separating fact from fiction is an art that takes some time to master. Given the nearly countless amount of sources out there, we’ve seen a plethora of information surface with regards to flagship smartphones and tablets, and while some get confirmed at launches, others bite the dust. That being said, today some more information has surfaced on what to expect from Apple’s end for the iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus and we’d be inclined to believe this particular tidbit.

Apple To Introduce New LCD Panels On iPhone 7 And Upgrade Them On The iPhone 7s

When it comes to its flagship smartphones, Apple has an interesting method of introducing changes and upgrades. Each generational upgrade of the iPhone brings with it new components, design and features, which Apple then refines on the ‘S’ lineup of the smartphone.
In contrast, the Android world is generally keen to keep the specification upgrade cycle running continuously, with each year’s launches bringing new, improved devices on board. With the launch of the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus, Apple finally introduced a much needed change on the iPhone lineup in the form of upgraded LCD panels and subsequently, the iPhone 6s and the iPhone 6s Plus saw resolutions being ignored completely.

    Advertisements

Now, some statements by Apple’s display supplier, Japan Display might hint towards the Cupertino manufacturer making much needed display upgrades on the iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus. The current lineup of iPhones from Apple use JD’s first generation Low Temperature Polysilicon backplanes and the company intends to introduce second generation LTPS backplanes this year.
A backplane on an LCD is critical for determining the panel’s power consumption and resolution and an upgrade in this end from Apple should leave plenty of options open for the company to make display upgrades on the iPhones. Operating at 60GHz, the second generation backplane from Japan Display will consume 30% less power when compared to its predecessor, as can be seen in the image above.
Furthermore, not only should these power savings provide ample motivation to Apple for increasing display resolutions on the iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus; higher resolutions with an improved LTPS backplane would ensure power consumption remains constant but will also open the doors for improvements on the iPhone 7s and the iPhone 7s Plus.
After increasing the display resolutions on its 2016 flagship smartphones, something which Apple should be forced to do if it wants to remain competitive, the third generation LTPS backplanes from Japan display should allow Apple to introduce other upgrades with a higher resolution; something which fits in nicely with Apple’s preferred methods. Thoughts? Let us know what you think in the comments section below and stay tuned for the latest updates.

New iPhone 7 Concept Is Based On All Rumored Features, Looks Gorgeous!

Today we have stumbled upon a new iPhone 7 concept that is based on all the rumored features which we have been hearing since the past few weeks. The end result is a smartphone that looks insanely awesome and builds on top of the famed iPhone 6 / 6s design.

New iPhone 7 Concept Is Based On All The Rumored Features

Ask a designer to come up with an iPhone 7 concept and he / she will not fail to impress by any margin. For instance, we saw an iPhone 7 concept a while back that pushed the limits of what a smartphone could be, and it was oozing with elegance. But the problem is, such concepts are based entirely off a designer’s own set of ideas, while keeping in mind very little of what’s actually ‘real.’ But today, a designer named Arthur Reis has stepped up the concept game by coming up with an iPhone 7 render based purely off rumors floating around the Interwebs regarding the upcoming Cupertino flagship.

    The result? See for yourself.

As you can see, the iPhone 7 concept features a familiar design to the current iPhone 6 / 6s, but slightly builds on top of it. In other words, the iPhone 7 being portrayed here features an evolutionary design change rather than something drastic.
The camera hump is now gone, and the antenna lines are as minimal they can be, just how the rumors suggested. Furthermore, the Home button on the iPhone 7 concept is portrayed to be a Force Touch ready one.
    Advertisements

On the display front, there are thinner bezels compared to previous iPhones, giving a sleeker overall look. And to top things off, the concept has no 3.5mm headphone jack and instead features a speaker grill where the 3.5mm headphone jack should have been.

The overall profile of the iPhone 7 concept looks pretty sleek if you’re asking us. And while we are fans of the iPhone 6 / 6s design here, but deep down inside we really wish Cupertino’s upcoming flagship features a drastic design change and breaks away from the ‘usual’ iPhone-esque aesthetic.
While the iPhone 7 won’t see the light of day until the end of this year, but it’s being rumored that Cupertino will hold an event on the 15th of March to announce a trio of products, with the iPhone 5se being one of them. The new 4-inch handset is said to go on sale on the 18th of March, just a couple of days after announcement.
Are you impressed with the above concept? Then be sure to let us know about it in the comments section below.

EMI Shielding Technology Will Be Present In iPhone 7 Chips

If you ever wanted to witness a technology that blocks off electromagnetic waves, then it looks like you are in luck because Apple’s upcoming iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus will be sporting this feature. With all the impressive hardware that is already expected to be present inside the flagship smartphone duo, what benefit would this latest addition serve to consumers?

Technology Will Most Likely Be Present To Get Rid Of People’s Fear On EM Waves In Upcoming iPhone 7

In an attempt to allay people’s fear that EMI waves are harmful for smartphone users, Apple will be incorporating the shielding technology in order to make this possible. According to industry sources, the tech giant in intending on applying the technology to the following components:

    • Radio frequency (RF)
    • Connectivity chips (wireless LAN, Bluetooth)
    • AP (application processor) and other modems

While this particular technology is thoroughly being applied to PCB, or printed circuit boards, this is possibly the first time that consumers will be seeing the technology applied to individual components soldered on the board of a smartphone. However, Apple could possibly be applying by this tech to individual components primarily because users might want to find a solution for the interference in wireless communication. Since smartphone users have proliferated in the past couple of years, the amount of interference has obviously increased, leading Apple to incorporate this tech inside its upcoming iPhone 7.

    Advertisements

So How Does This Tech Work?

When EMI Shield technology is applied, unexpected signals that happen due to electromagnetic interference can be prevented. It also serves other advantages for users, since circuit boards can also be assembled more elaborately. This is because when mounting space between chips is decreased, areas that are left over can be used for batteries and eventually increase times that batteries can last. However, the chips’ production costs will be increased due to addition of new process. So who has the Cupertino tech giant partnered in order to make this possible?
The company has StatsChipPac and Amkor responsible for EMI Shield process on major chips of iPhone 7. EMI Shield process will take place in both businesses’ factories that are in South Korea. This will involve a process that covers surface of packaging with ultra-thin metal. Packaging businesses perform such process by using sputter that covers chips ultra-thin metal shield. Packaged chips will be loaded onto EMI Shield sputters, and handler equipment (unloaded) that takes out chip packages that are done with shielding process is also necessary. Competitive edges in sputters and handlers are stability, precision, and speed. They will be able to evenly sprinkle metals on top of chips for shielding. Handlers are also have to be able to load and unload chip packages on sputters fast and precisely.

This is not the first time that Apple has used this tech; it first applied EMI Shield technology to its S1 SoC present inside its first ever wearable, Apple Watch, indicating that the company knows exactly what it is doing. Do you guys think that it will improve overall performance of the upcoming devices? Let us know your thoughts.

This Crazy iPhone 7 Concept Is Far From Reality

You may have seen a lot of iPhone 7 concepts in the past few months, but what we’re about to show you is completely something really different. The main aspect of the concept is a wide flexible display for all of you who love their media big. Not that the concept would be implemented, it’s just what designers do for what they would love to see on the next iPhone.

This iPhone 7 Concept Boasting An Expandable Flexible Display Is Crazy!

We really do have to credit the designer of this iPhone 7 concept, since it has been put together amazingly. Designed by Sonitdac, the concept closely looks like an iPhone 6s had a bit of an intimacy with the Galaxy S7 edge. You can see this by looking at the display sides of how they have been carved to make it look like the recently announced Samsung flagship. Nonetheless, judging on the bases of the external hardware, it’s by far the exact same design as you would find on Apple’s 2015 flagship, the iPhone 6s. Moreover, the iPhone 7 concept is housed by a complete aluminium unibody design, which you would find on the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6s as well.
    Advertisements

If it doesn’t interest you much, then wait till you guys see what the focus point of this concept is. On the top of the device rests a ”widescreen” button that would transform it into something amazing. Pressing the ”widescreen” button would magically expand the flexible screen. The edges of the iPhone 7 concept extend out of their defined shells, which ultimately allows the flexible display to appear. The screen size extends from a standard iPhone 7 to the screen size probably matching the iPad mini.

As we have mentioned before, not that this concept would turn out to be true, it’s just crazy to see something like this could take shape. Nonetheless, the designer has not defied the cause and effect rules. The operation of maximizing the display size has been thought by the designer. The flexible display is held by four carbon fiber arms that enables the sides of the iPhone to extend. You can see how the flexible display neatly folds back into its place. The mechanics of expanding the display have been shown in the videos as well.

It’s just a well-thought unreal iPhone 7 concept, probably nice to see but does not seem applicable at this level. This is it for now, folks. What are your thoughts about this crazy iPhone 7 concept? Share your views in the comments.

Dual-Camera iPhone 7 To Be Dubbed As iPhone Pro As Images From Apple Supplier Surface

As February ends, leaks from the Apple side of things have started to increase bit by bit. We’ve been seeing some interesting information surface about the upcoming 4 inch iPhone SE, with the device expected to breathe fresh air into the iPhone lineup. Today we see some information surface about the iPhone 7; the 10th generation iPhone due in September later this year.

Alleged iPhone 7 Chassis Images Surface; Dual-Camera Variant To Be Dubbed As iPhone 7 Pro

As Apple launches the iPhone SE, an ‘if’ until the company’s event due in March, we’d see a greater focus from the company towards product differentiation. Apple’s product lineup has always catered to the flagship segment, with the launch of the iPhone 5c being a sore reminder of previous experimentation.
A set of images, obtained from an alleged supplier of both Huawei and Apple claim to show a chassis which could belong to either the iPhone 7 or the Huawei P9. The source of the leak isn’t sure about the device either, so your guess is as good as ours at this point.
It does measure 5.2 inches in diagonal, so unless Apple’s chosen to make display changes on the iPhone 7, we’d call this one a fluke. There are several other discrepancies to confirm this fact, such as there’s a hole right at the bottom for an earphone jack. So if you’re wondering how the Huawei P9 looks like, there are a lot of details which have surfaced today.

    Advertisements

In some more rather interesting news out of China, we’re once again seeing claims surface that Apple will be differentiating its top-tier iPhone lineup this year. Both the iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus have seen rumors about specifications such as dual cameras, display upgrades and design changes surface.
But if you’re excited for the next iPhone only for the dual camera, then you might be in for some disappointing news today. According to sources from China, while the dual camera will indeed be making it on board the iPhone 7, it’ll only be the larger variant of the lineup to come with the feature.
Differentiating the two iPhones on the basis of photographic capabilities won’t be a new strategy from Apple, as currently only the iPhone 6s Plus comes with OIS on board. Speaking of the device, this year we’ll be seeing the iPhone 7 and the iPhone Pro from Apple’s end, hinting at even more simplification of the company’s lineup.
As 2016 unfolds, things do seem to be taking an interesting turn for Apple, particularly if the iPhone SE does make an appearance next month. Thoughts? Let us know what you think in the comments section below and stay tuned for the latest.

iPhone 7 A Whole 1mm Thinner Than iPhone 6? Can It Retain All The Necessary Hardware?

Manufacturers like Apple will go as far to reduce the thickness of iPhone 7 by removing the headphone jack altogether. Looks like the company’s plan will be coming to fruition because we have the latest news in for you concerning the upcoming smartphone’s thickness.

iPhone 7 To Be As Slim As An iPod Touch But That Begs The Question, Can It Retain All The Necessary Hardware?

The latest piece of information states that the upcoming iPhone 7 is going to be as slim as an iPod Touch. While, that is definitely impressive and we have no doubt that Apple will be able to make it possible, there are somethings that need to be removed from the equation in order to aid the tech giant in achieving its goal. First off, and you guys have heard this on countless number of occasions that the company plans on discarding the 3.5mm headphone jack.
Afterwards, users will have to make do with using headphones that feature a lightning port (which will actually be advantageous thanks to delivering a digital signal rather than analog) but according to two analysts, Blayne Curtis and Christopher Hemmelgarn, Apple will include a Lightning-equipped headphone with the iPhone 7, but will not purchase Cirrus’ noise-cancelling technology for in-box headphones until the iPhone 7s, which is most likely going to take place during September 2017.

    Advertisements

We have also been hearing about Apple’s attempt to make its iPhones waterproof. With its iPhone 6s and iPhone 6ss Plus sporting a layer of rubber making them water resistant, future iPhones are expected to be completely waterproof and sport EMI shielding, so we can expect great from things iPhone 7 in this regard.

Unfortunately, we are concerned about other things revolving around the hardware components. If Apple does make its iPhone 7 extremely thin, where will it find room to accommodate for the other chips? As the latest report has it, iPhone 7 is going to be a cut above the rest, because the upcoming handset and its larger screen brother, iPhone 7 Plus are going to sport 256GB of internal storage, which is twice the amount that is present inside the tech giant’s current generation iPhones. In addition, it is also expected that iPhone 7 Plus will come with a 3,100mAh, meaning that iPhone 7 will come with a larger battery as opposed to iPhone 6s.
Let us hope that despite that thickness reduction, Apple does not make sacrifices to the overall experience of its upcoming smartphones.

Apple will reportedly unveil a new iPhone with an OLED display in 2017

It feels like we've been promised this many times before, but Apple is expected to make the big leap to OLED displays with its next-gen iPhone, something the company will reportedly unveil next year, according to Nikkei.

Apple contacted both of its rivals in LG and Samsung in December, to talk about the possibility of increasing OLED production for the 2017 iPhone. But, the OLED displays would most likely be exclusive to the higher-end iPhone 7 Plus (or whatever Apple calls it), or the rumored iPhone Pro, due to supply constraints.

Apple is reportedly close to inking a deal with Samsung regarding flexible OLED displays, but I don't see that happening for years yet, as Apple seems to drip feed its consumers upgrades and features to the iPhone. The company has also been interested in curved OLED displays, but according to Nikkei, Apple might leave curved OLED displays to the side for now - in favor of normal OLED displays for the 2017 iPhone. The company is apparently wanting to move to OLED displays quickly, as it wants to squeeze more life out of iPhone sales, which analysts expect to stall in the coming months.

Apple "iPhone 7 Plus" may be officially named "iPhone Pro"

iPhone lineup would become on par with three-model iPad lineup

According to a recent Chinese media report, Apple may be switching its naming scheme on the Plus-sized iPhone models for its tenth-generation iPhone 7 launch later this fall, to one that is more consistent with new product announcements in the third quarter of 2015.

The rumor originates from foreign media source HG through a blog post on MyDrivers.com, in which the author notes that Apple believes the Plus-sized model of the iPhone 7 will be rebranded as the “iPhone 7 Pro,” or simply the “iPhone Pro.” The reasoning behind this marketing strategy is to make room for a third iPhone model in the company’s smartphone portfolio, in order to bring it more in line with the three-model iPad portfolio that recently got its third and newest member – the iPad Pro – in November 2015.
Here is the reasoning behind the “Plus to Pro” transition for the iPhone and how it relates to the company’s new iPad lineup. As it stands, Apple now has three iPad models to choose from – the 7.9-inch iPad mini, the 9.7-inch iPad Air, and the 12.9-inch iPad Pro. On September 9, 2015, the company formally announced the iPad Pro, its largest 12.9-inch tablet built and designed for creative professionals, industry professionals and anyone else willing to pay over $800 USD for a 1.5-pound 2.26GHz dual-core tablet with a pen that infamously sticks horizontally out the side while pairing.

Three iPhone models – iPhone SE (entry), iPhone (midrange), and iPhone Pro (flagship)
In terms of the iPhone, Apple currently has two models to choose from – the 4.7-inch iPhone 6/6S (2014/2015) and the 5.5-inch iPhone 6/6S Plus (2014/2015). Later this month, Apple is expected to announced the iPhone SE, a slightly upgraded version of the iPhone 5S from 2013. This will bring Apple’s iPhone lineup on par with its three-model iPad lineup – an entry level 4-inch iPhone SE, a mainstream 4.7-inch iPhone, and a flagship 5.5-inch iPhone Pro. However, in order for this to happen, Apple must strive to differentiate the “Plus-sized” iPhone Pro over the standard 4.7-inch iPhone if any revenue is expected to be made.

Sketch-up illustration of 10th-generation Apple iPhone "Plus" dual-camera model
Currently, there is not much difference between the 4.7-inch iPhone 6/6S (2014/2015) and the 5.5-inch iPhone 6/6S Plus (2014/2015) other than the larger 1920x1080p displays and Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) feature on the Plus models. As we mentioned in January, well-connected Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo expects the company’s standard 4.7-inch iPhone 7 (2016) to feature the usual single iSight camera on the rear. The larger 5.5-inch iPhone Pro (2016) model, however, will differentiate by having dual rear-facing iSight cameras for increased flexibility – one for capturing photos through the traditional normal-to-wide angle lens, and a second “small form factor telephoto” lens that can be used in conjunction with the normal lens for some pretty neat features, possibly including depth-refocusing after a picture has already been taken. Lytro has already made post-capture depth refocusing available with its ILLUM series light-field cameras, and we believe Apple has been working with experienced Israeli engineers from LinX Imaging on some similar post-processing features ever since it acquired the company in April 2015 for $20 million.
There is also a second rumor originating from Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo which suggests that the company will introduce both a single-camera and dual-camera version of the next-generation iPhone Pro in order to make up for supply constraints as production ramps up. While this suggestion has less probability than the flagship iPhone’s brand identity transition from “Plus” to “Pro,” his reasoning would imply that Apple could produce four models – an iPhone SE, a standard 4.7-inch iPhone 7, and both a 5.5-inch iPhone Pro (single camera) and a 5.5-inch iPhone Pro Plus (dual camera). However, take this one with a grain of salt as we expect the “Pro” naming scheme is more justified in order to place the iPhone on par with the new three-model iPad lineup.
As we have mentioned previously, Apple’s tenth-generation iPhone 7 (2016) lineup will get a super-fast LTE-Advanced modem similar to the Qualcomm X12 in its Snapdragon 820 processor, capable of up to 600Mbps Category 12 download speeds and up to 150Mbps Category 13 upload speeds. After all, LG’s recently announced flagship G5 (2016) smartphone features the X12 LTE-Advanced modem, while Samsung’s Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge (2016) feature an LTE Category 9 modem capable of 450Mbps download speeds and 50Mbps upload speeds. Surely, Apple will compete with its nearest competitors and keep wireless carriers like AT&T and Verizon on the hook for throttling customers’ unlimited LTE data plans even when they now have smartphones capable of 600Mbps speeds.

Apple iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Pro And iPhone Special Edition Rumored For Launch This Year

It's beginning to look like 2016 could be one of the biggest years we've seen for the iPhone in quite some time, as it's possible that three new variants are going to show up. Those include the iPhone 7, the iPhone Pro, and iPhone SE.
There's not a lot known (or speculated on) about the iPhone 7 at this point in time, although it's being said that it's supposed to be a bit slimmer than the current-gen models. Despite the slimming-down being just 1mm, it does raise concern about whether or not battery-life is going to be affected. Let's just hope that Apple isn't sacrificing battery-life so that we can all wrap our phones in a hideous battery pack.
Previous rumors said that the next iPhone could be waterproof, but as it appears now, that's not going to be the case at all. It's worth noting that Samsung's Galaxy S7 is dust-proof and water resistant, so the Korean-based company may have a leg up in that regard. Apple has been able to decide between slimness and durability, but has allegedly chosen the former.
    image: http://hothardware.com/ContentImages...otHardware.jpg
As we've discussed before, Apple is expected to launch its iPhone SE later this month. That phone was originally set to be called the iPhone 5se, which signifies a shift in Apple's naming scheme. Ultimately, it seems likely that the company is trying to simplify things and get away from using numbers to denote a new generation, but given we've become used to the current naming scheme for so long, figuring this out right now is actually quite complicated.
The iPhone SE is going to cater to those who liked the smaller form-factor of older iPhones but crave the modern hardware that graces the iPhone 6s. So where does the iPhone Pro come in? That could be a direct replacement of the iPhone 6s Plus, the largest phone in Apple's portfolio with an added perk of a dual-lens camera created by LinX, a company Apple purchased in 2015.
With Apple set to make some big announcements later this month, we won't have long to wait to see the first part of this iPhone rollout take place.

Video Demo Shows Dual Camera Interface For Apple’s iPhone – iPhone 7 Could Sport Such A Feature

We have heard since a long time that Apple’s upcoming iPhone, iPhone 7 will be sporting a dual camera setup. Well, the latest video demo brings us one step closer to all those reports, and it shows that the California based tech giant might actually be serious to welcome such a feature on its upcoming flagship smartphone lineup.

Take A Look At The Dual Camera Interface Demo On iPhone 7

Apple had recently submitted a patent application that was published in January, and the patent details indicate that tech firm could be incorporating a dual-camera setup in the upcoming iPhone. In fact, it is possible that this setup will be branched out to all devices running the company’s mobile operating system, including iPads. Additional patent details suggest that a dual-camera system will have one standard wide-angle lens which is similar to what we see in current generation iPhones, while the second will be a telephoto lens capable of capturing zoomed-in video and photos.
Apple intends on making the interface as effortless to use as possible because both lenses can be used simultaneously to take separate photos or videos, with Apple’s software able to merge the images together in unique ways. Both images can be displayed on the same screen in the Camera app through a split-screen view that shows a standard wide-angle image on one side and the zoomed image on the other side.

    Advertisements

When engaged in capturing a video or a photo, users will be able to view the transition between both lenses seamlessly, tapping on a spot in the photo to zoom in with a second lens. Afterwards Apple’s cleverly designed system would work similarly to digital zoom does today. There will be one advantage to using this particular software; since users will be busy using a lens with a longer focal length instead of zooming in through software, it will result in no loss of detail when you zoom into the image.
We are not certain about the total megapixel count of the upcoming iPhone, so we will stick to our gut and believe that the sensor will retain the same number of megapixels (12.3MP) as the current generation iPhones, but will add more features courtesy of the updated software from Apple. Unfortunately, details are hazy at best, and we are confident that more information will be made available to us as soon as we move closer and closer to Apple’s upcoming event, which is going to take place during the month of September.

Intel to supply LTE chips for Apple’s iPhone 7

It looks like Apple is set to tap Intel for its LTE modem chips for the upcoming iPhone 7. According to reports surfacing this week, Intel will be supplying Apple with roughly 30 to 40 percent of the LTE modems it needs, which poses as a slight problem for Qualcomm, who will now receive less of Apple’s business as a result of this, which could cause its profits to shrink this year.
Intel has been looking to break into this area for a while so gaining Apple’s business will be a big win for the chipmaker. Right now, it is unclear if Qualcomm’s own X12 mobile modem doesn’t meet Apple’s requirements but we do know that it has slightly higher rated performance numbers on paper compared to Intel’s XMM 7360 modem.

Qualcomm’s X12 is apparently rated for 600Mbps throughput while Intel’s is rated for 450 Mbps, which is quite the difference. That said, Apple may not want the modem inside of the iPhone 7 to run at full speed anyway so the differences in maximum throughput may not matter.
This news comes shortly after news that Apple may tap TSMC to supply all of its new Apple A-series chips for the iPhone 7. We are also hearing that Samsung and LG may be put in charge of supplying OLED screens for next year’s iPhone 7S.

Apple Rumored To Produce An Even Larger iPhone For The Future With One Massive Spec Change

For two years straight, Apple has been phasing out its 5.5 inch iPhone, securing its spot in the phablet smartphone market. However, this latest rumor suggests that the tech giant is aiming to increase that screen size, as you will find out shortly.

iPhone Coming In 2017 Or 2018 Rumored To Sport A 5.8 Inch Display And One Massive Difference Compared To Its Predecessors

According to the latest rumor, Apple’s largest iPhone coming in during September 2017 or 2018 (if the company decides to stage its event in this month), will be sporting a massive screen size of 5.8 inches. Large screen smartphones have natural advantages at their fingertips; companies can choose to incorporate larger sized batteries inside them, and the overall viewing experience improves thanks to all that extra real estate.
Another critical difference that we have been talking about is the incorporation of OLED screens inside these next-generation devices. Samsung has been reported of investing over $7 billion into supplying OLED displays for future iPhones, following rumors last year that 2018 would mark Apple’s official shift from LCD to OLED displays in its popular smartphone line. More recent reports suggest that OLED timeline could be moved up to 2017.

    Advertisements

OLED screens have several advantages, which will be covered in a later topic, but its primary perk will be that it will deliver sharper images and consume less power, leading to improved battery life. Those are not the only improvements that we will be seeing in the next iPhones. In a previous post, we stated that Apple’s upcoming iPhone 7 Plus was reported to come with 256GB of internal storage as its highest capacity model, along with a 3,100mAh battery, suggesting that iPhones coming in 2017 and 2018 will have even larger capacities.
Additionally, a dual-camera interface suggests that the Cupertino tech company will also be welcoming dual-camera setups inside future devices.

With this revelation, Apple is definitely aiming for the fences, but more importantly, we would like to hear your thoughts on the matter, so let us know as soon as possible.

iPhone 7 Case Gets Leaked – Resembles An iPhone 6s But With One Critical Difference

With Apple’s iPhone 7 expected to be announced during the month of September, the smartphone’s case has apparently been leaked. The upcoming device strongly resembles an iPhone 6s, but there are a lot of differences that you will be very interested to know about that could either make or break your purchase.

iPhone 7 Case Leak Does Not Show A Headphone Jack – Is Apple Really Omitting This Feature From The Upcoming Smartphone?

In terms of pure aesthetics, Apple’s upcoming iPhone 7 looks very similar to Apple’s iPhone 6 and even an iPhone 6s with curved corners and a flat back. However, the following details is something that you probably did not notice; the absence of a 3.5 mm headphone jack cutout, which brings us back to the old rumor, is Apple really serious about omitting the crucial feature from the smartphone. The feature has been present for a very long time and if Apple replaces it with a Bluetooth or Lightning port based headphones, it will allow the tech giant to further reduce the overall thickness of iPhone 7.
It could also mean that the company will have ample space for other components since the entire circuit will be absent from the entire configuration. If you take a look at the image below, you will clearly be able to see those large speaker grill cutouts present at the bottom side of the case, indicating that Apple is also intending on improving the overall sound quality. Even if you manage to block out one speaker grill with your fingers while playing a game, you will still be able to hear sufficient sound levels from the other grill.

iPhone 7 Pro Dual Camera Sensor Leaks Alongside Rear Shell

As we head toward Apple’s even this month, we’ve got a fair idea of what to expect from the Cupertino tech giant. Two new gadgets are expected to be launches, namely the 4 inch iPhone SE and the 9.7 inch iPad Pro. The iPhone SE is expected to breathe new life into smaller smartphones as the industry trend becomes to solidify around larger devices.
The iPad Pro Mini on the other hand is expected to simplify the company’s tablet lineup; which has managed to become somewhat cluttered over the past couple of years. Today, we’ve managed to get our hands on some images of the iPhone 7 Pro, which isn’t expected until September later this year. So take a look below to find out more.

iPhone 7 Pro Sees Rear Shell And Camera Sensor Surface In Set Of Images

As the mobile industry increases in size and more users turn to the smartphone to manage their daily lives, we’ve seen a large amount of attention directed towards flagship devices annually. Flagship smartphones have also started to see almost every detail surface before their launch, something which was accepted as a constant w.r.t the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S7 and the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge earlier this month.
Folks at the Apple camp haven’t fared that well either, as we’ve seen both the iPhone 6s/6s Plus and their predecessors also leak almost in entirety prior to their launches; which is something that also contributes towards sustained attention towards the devices, or in other words, hype. Moving towards today’s leaks, we might finally get a couple of design details of Apple’s iPhone 7 Pro as an alleged rear shell image has surfaced, which you can take a look at above.
In design terms, Apple’s upcoming flagship smartphone mostly resembles the iPhone 6s and the iPhone 6s Plus, as we see a relatively simple and smooth approach. There appear to be no antenna bands or other additions to the rear, but given the highly preliminary nature of today’s leak, you shouldn’t take anything as set in stone for now. As far as the color goes, your guess is as good as our source’s who has no idea why the case is green.
    Advertisements

There’s another image today which seemingly confirms one very highly rumored feature that’s expected to make it on board the iPhone this year. Rumors of Apple’s flagship smartphone coming with a dual camera on board have been abundant, with some quarters expecting only the larger iPhone 7, dubbed as the iPhone 7 Pro to come with the feature.
The image above allegedly shows the camera sensor for the device, which if you’re attentive, should fit in rather nicely with the case image leaked. In the struggle for differentiation, manufacturers are on the lookout for new features to set their devices apart, and looks like dual camera might be the thing for the iPhone this year. How Apple tweaks with this, we’ll find out once the device is launched.
Even though almost six months are left until we get to take a look at the iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Pro, leaks and speculations about the devices paint quite an interesting picture. Not only should you be getting a dual camera this year, but word on the street is that there won’t be a headphone jack either; making things rather too simple if you ask us. Thoughts? Let us know what you think in the comments section below and stay tuned for the latest.

Supposed iPhone 7 Images Hint At Upgraded Camera And Cleaner Antenna Layout

Much of the attention in the mobile space at the moment is on Samsung's shiny new Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge handsets, but lest anyone forget about the iPhone, an alleged leaked photo of the iPhone 7's chassis is making the rounds. If the image turns out to be accurate, then there are some subtle changes in store for Apple's next flagship smartphone.

That's always the big question, is the leaked photo accurate? In this case, it's worth noting that the image was obtained by French-language website Nowhereelse.fr, home to famed leaker OnLeaks (Steve Hemmerstoffer), who authored the blog post showing the photo and also posted it to Twitter. It certainly seems that he's pretty confident in the image's legitimacy.

If he's right, the big change in the case design is the elimination of the the antenna bands that appear on the back of the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus. We're talking about those white lines that run horizontally near the top and bottom of your gold or rose gold iPhone (they appear gray on the silver and space gray models)—they're small grooves that exist to ensure sufficient signal strength. You don't see those lines on the new chassis, which results in a cleaner look.

Another thing you can spot in the photo is a bigger camera hole. This seems to suggest that Apple's upgrading the rear camera on the iPhone 7, just as it's done on every previous iPhone release. How exactly the new camera on the iPhone 7 will be better remains to be seen, but the hole is noticeably bigger than it appears on the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus (though probably not big enough to accommodate a dual-camera design).

Finally, it looks as though the iPhone 7 will be slightly thinner than its predecessors and lack a 3.5mm headphone jack. Both are in line with previous rumors of the iPhone 7, though as with everything else revealed in the leaked image, you take it all with a grain of salt.

First Real Photo Of iPhone 7 Plus Leaked Online – Dual Cameras And Smart Connector Shown Off

The first ever alleged real photo of the iPhone 7 Plus has leaked online and it shows off a rear dual camera setup as well as an iPad Pro like Smart Connector on the back.

First Alleged Photo Of iPhone 7 Plus Leaks Online – Shows Off Dual Camera Lens Setup, Smart Connector At The Back

It’s been rumored that the iPhone 7 will take up some serious design changes, such as missing antenna lines from the back, no headphone jack to make the device thinner as well as dual camera lenses at the back. Now it seems we can add one more feature to the roaster – a Smart Connector, revealed to us courtesy of a leaked photo alleged to be of the iPhone 7 Plus. Have a look yourself.

We’ve been hearing chatter on the Web for a long time that the iPhone 7 will do away with the protruding camera lens, giving the device a slicker profile, the way it’s always meant to be. But if today’s leak is taken into account, then it seems as though at least one iPhone model, apparently the larger of the two, will have a protruding camera lens.
    Advertisements

The interesting thing to note in this leak is the inclusion of the Smart Connector at the rear. The same connector on the iPad Pro is used to hook the tablet to accessories, and we’re certain that it will serve its purpose in the same way on the iPhone as well. It will also pave the way for even more smarter battery related accessories, but of course, that remains to be seen.
It’s worth mentioning here that it’s unclear whether or not this is a legit photo of the device itself as the actual launch is months away from now. Therefore we advise our readers to take the above leak with a pinch of salt till the point someone shows up to confirm this leak altogether.
Things will take a turn for better, or worse, depending on how you look at it, when it becomes clear if all iPhone models will feature the same features across the board, or whether or not the dual camera setup and Smart Connector is reserved for the larger of the two handsets.
Apple launches new iPhone models at the end of the year and it’s highly likely that it will do so in 2016 as well. Keep yourself tuned in to our coverage to learn more about the iPhone 7 as more leaks are made available!
