    HTC One M9

HTC One M9’s MASSIVE Leak Pegs Down Complete Device Specifications

When it comes to upcoming flagships at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, looks like the HTC One M9’s decided to show up today again with a highly detailed leak detailing several of the upcoming device’s features and specifications. In addition to device specifications, a list of accessories for the HTC One M9 has leaked as well, making this today’s most detailed leak.
Alleged HTC One M9 Specification Leak Pegs Device With Impressive Camera But Weak Screen Resolution

When it comes to the One M9, looks like HTC’s intent on making sure its flagship is amongst the top devices when it comes to processing power and camera capabilities. The HTC One M9 will be coming with an impressive rear camera of resolution 20 MP. The device will also be coming with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 810, with its eight set of cores. This will be supplemented by a 5 inch screen. For thsoe who were rooting for a higher resolution display for HTC’s flagship, we have some disappointing news today as according to upleaks, HTC will be sticking with FHD on the One M9.A detailed look at the phone’s potential offerings can be taken below:

    • 0PJA series
    • Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 MSM8994 2.0GHz*4 + 1.5GHz*4
    • 5″ FHD Display
    • 3GB DDR4 RAM
    • 32GB or 64GB ROM
    • Support VoLTE, Carrier Aggregation and LTE Category 6 up to 300Mbps for Download, 50Mbps for Upload
    • Android 5.0.2 with Sense 7.0(TBD for Android version)
    • 20.7MP Main Camera with Dual LED Flash
    • 4MP UltraPixel Front Camera
    • BoomSound
    • Bluetooth 4.1
    • micro SD Card slot
    • 2840mAh Battery

A couple of interesting features in today’s information include an all new Sense UI for the One M9 and 3 GB of the latest DDR4 RAM in the mix as well. Given Sense 7’s overall fluidity of use, the HTC One M9 has the full potential to be amongst the top flagship contenders out there. The FHD resolution that HTC has chosen to stick to will also help conserve the device’s rather modest 2840 mAh battery. All eyes on Barcelona now when we’ll finally be able to know exactly what each device can offer.

HTC One M9 will reportedly have 8-core processor and 1080p display

We should expect to see the HTC One M9 unveiled very soon at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, but before then we're seeing more detailed leaks on HTC's upcoming flagship smartphone.

The HTC One M9 should feature a 5-inch screen, with a resolution of 1920x1080, which is a bit of a let down compared to its competitors with 1440p displays. We should see an 8-core processor, 3GB of DDR4 RAM, 32/64GB of on-board storage, support for LTE Category 6 (300/50Mbps), Android 5.0.2 Lollipop with Sense 7.0, a 20.7-megapixel rear-facing camera, 4-megapixel UltraPixel front-facing camera, BoomSound, Bluetooth 4.1, a microSD card slot and a 2840mAh battery.

Some of you might have noticed in those specifications that we've written DDR4 RAM, which is an interesting addition to the mix. The Full HD display will provide additional battery life compared to those with a QHD panel, so while HTC won't win at display resolution, it should have a decent amount of battery life compared to competing handsets.

Complete List Of Sense 7 Apps Leaks For The HTC One M9 Showing What The Flagship Might Come With

Following the leaks and rumors surrounding the Samsung Galaxy S6 which will be shown off by the manufactured in Barcelona this March, its time for HTC’s flagship spotlight today. The HTC One M9 will also be launched by the manufacturer in Spain and is heavily anticipated owing to the manufacturer’s overall design prowess when it comes to smartphones. Well, to spice things up, a lsit of apps for the HTC One M9 has been posted by upleaks so now we can take a look at all that can be expected from HTC’s upgraded UI on the One M9.

HTC One M9 App List Leaks Detailing What Might Be Present On Sense 7

Taking a look at the apps above, looks like HTC’s choosing to focus more on visual and performance when it comes to the latest iteration of its UI for the One M9. All the standard apps such as Facebook, Twitter, Google Maps and HTC Connect amongst other seem to have made it on the One M9. So until we receive leaked screenshots of the UI as had been the case of Sense 6 Integration with Android Lollipop or HTC flat out launches the device, there’s no way to say for certain what the UI will contain.
That’s not to say that we don’t have some idea of what updates HTC might be bringing through Sense 7. The UI is rumored to come with an avatar building interface, that should be a pleasant surprise for many users if true. Other specifications for the device are so far rumored to be the Snapdragon 810, 3 GB of RAM and 1080p screen resolution. HTC’s also expected to make away with dual cameras on the One M9, with the device anticipated to get a Sony camera sensor with a resolution of 20.7 MP. A;; we can do now is wait for the MWC due to be held in Barcelona, Spain when we can learn more about the device. Stay tuned, we’ll keep you updated.

HTC One M9 smartphone to be launched on 1st March

Mobile device maker HTC has officially announced the launch date of the 'new HTC One'. The new flagship smartphone, commonly referred to as the 'HTC One M9' or 'HTC Hima' by the tech press, will be revealed on 1st March, according to a posting on the HTC UK official Twitter account.

HTC had already confirmed a press event at 4pm CET on Sunday 1st March in Barcelona, just ahead of the MWC 2015. We saw an invite circulating for a 'Utopia in progress' event, subtitled 'join us to see what's next'. Bloomberg's sources tipped that a new HTC One would be the star of the show. We also expect some other handsets, tablets and possibly a wearable to be revealed by the Taiwanese firm.
Guestimates concerning the hardware that will be incorporated inside the new HTC One include the following:

    • Processor: Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 octa-core
    • Display: 5-inch 1920 x 1080 pixels
    • Cameras: 20.7-megapixel rear camera, 4-megapixel HTC UltraPixel front camera
    • Sound: Dolby 5.1 audio technology
    • OS/UI: HTC’s latest Sense 7 user interface with improved location-based services
    • Construction: gold, gray and silver options

Looking at designs, French leaksters nowhereelse.fr say that the pictures below are photos of a shell from the upcoming HTC flagship. The "let them stare" Twitter tease suggests that the new HTC One will perhaps be eye-catchingly attractive, I'm not sure that the photos below are evidence of that though. Alternatively the strapline could allude to some other visual/imaging qualities that the smartphone offers such as exceptional low light photography.

It definitely looks like we will be flooded with smartphone news in a fortnight's time. Which upcoming handsets are readers most looking forward to?

Major HTC One M9 Benchmarks Posting Turns Out To Be Disappointing – No Snapdragon 810 On Board?

With things getting interesting before the upcoming flagship launches at the Mobile World Congress due to be held in Barcelona Spain, we have more benchmarks for you today from one of the upcoming devices. While the Samsung Galaxy S6 has been the star of benchmark leaks over the past couple of days, looks like the HTC One M9 has decided to break radio silence on benchmarks with a leak of its own today albeit with a disappointment.

Latest Benchmark Leak Pegs HTC’s Upcoming Flagship With A MediaTek Processor

Today’s benchmark, posted on the site CompuBench features an HTC device with the codename OPK71. While there’s no certainty in stating that the device is the One M9 but the codename does bear resemblance to the symbols speculated to belong to the One M9. Specifications for the device are also quite similar to what’s being rumored so far. The benchmark lists the device with a 5.1 inch screen touting a display resolution of 1440 x 2560. RAM for the alleged HTC One M9 prototype is listed as 3 GB and the camera resolution is 19 MP – as opposed to the 20.7 MP Sony sensor the HTC flagship is speculated to come with.
The disappointing bit of news today’s benchmark carry is the presence of a MediaTek processor on the device. IF the device listed above is indeed the HTC One M9 then the MediaTek MT6795 won’t end up doing the device any justice if it is to compete with the top smartphone flagships out there. Coming with eight ARM A53 cores, the processor does pack a performance punch, but it isn’t heavy enough by far to power a top tier flagship device. So all we can do is hope that the device above is a prototype intended to test features apart from the performance on the HTC One M9. Or maybe its the company’s way of adding more speculation around its upcoming device. All will become clear in less than two weeks. Stay tuned.

HTC One M9's Design, Colors Revealed In New Press Renders

We’re just a little over a week away from the official unveil of HTC’s next generation flagship: the One M9. The smartphone will be unveiled in Barcelona, Spain at the Mobile World Congress, but that isn’t stopping new renders of the One M9 in its final form from leaking to the Internet.

German Retailer CyberPort posted press renders of the One M9 in a few different color combinations including gunmetal grey and gold/silver. Not surprisingly, the renders match up nicely with leaked photos that we’ve already seen of the One M9. For better or worse, the One M9 isn’t a drastic departure from the current generation One M8, which itself was a clear evolution of the One M7. However, the design of the One series has been generally well received by the tech press and customers, so why ruin a good thing?

When it comes to specs, most agree that the smartphone will feature Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 810 processor, 3GB of RAM, a 20MP rear camera, 13MP front-facing camera, and a 5-inch display. As for that display, word on the street is that HTC isn’t joining its competitors in the effort to spread QHD (2560x1440) resolutions to flagship smartphones. Instead, HTC is likely looking to preserve battery life by retaining a 1080p display.

Back in May 2014, Huawei Consumer Business Group CEO Richard Yu trashed the idea of QHD screens on smartphones, stating, “I don't think we need QHD displays on mobiles. Your eyes totally cannot identify between full HD and 2K on a smartphone. You can't distinguish the difference, so it's totally nonsense.”
Yu went on to add, “[Your] eyes cannot see the difference, so why should we do that? I think it's a stupid thing."
We don’t know if HTC has the same strong opinions about QHD screens on smartphones as Yu, but we definitely feel that its decision to stick with 1080p will allow the One M9 to hover near the top of the charts when it comes to battery life compared to its peers.

HTC One M9 leaked in Germany

    Evolutionary design, no big surprises
The new HTC One M9 has been leaked by a German retailer, complete with official renders and specs.

The phone features a very familiar design and looks a lot like the M8 and M7 before it. This is not a bad thing, since the One series always featured a minimalistic, premium design. The biggest changes are under the bonnet. The new HTC One features a Snapdragon 810 SoC, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage and – wait for it – a microSD slot.
The 5-inch screen is said to be a 1080p unit. The phone packs a 20-megapixel main camera and a 4-megapixel UltraPixel front camera. The battery is a 2900mAh unit, which is not bad, but not spectacular either.
HTC is expected to formally announce the new One M9 next week. We cannot confirm whether or not these specs are spot on, since there are a few things that don’t add up – namely the inclusion of a microSD slot and screen resolution, so take this with a grain of salt.

Leakers Looking To Top One Another With Successive HTC One M9 Specs Leaks

Leaks and speculation surrounding two of the Android World’s most anticipated devices, the Samsung Galaxy S6 and the HTC One M9 have started to occur side by side it seems. After we’ve seen two leaks per day minimum for the Galaxy S6, its time for the One M9 to rear its head and provide us with even more insight into HTC’s flagship, which carries several upgrades not only in specifications but also on the way the Taiwanese manufacturer views its device.

Leakers Provide More Details On HTC One M9’s Performance Specifications And Features

Several specifications of the HTC One M9 have once again popped up today, and they’re quite similar to what we’ve been telling you all along. The device can be expected to be launched with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 810 with eight cores, clocked at 1.5 and 2.0 GHz respectively. UI on the One M9 will be HTC’s upgrade to the Sense 7 and the device will come running Android 5.0.2. Today’s more interesting piece of news when it comes to the One M9 however is the camera sensor on the device, which will come with a resolution of 20 MP, making sure that HTC’s device is also a forerunner when it comes to your smartphone photography needs.
Leakers however seem to be eager to top each other when it comes to HTC’s upcoming flagship, as after the tweet above detailed camera specifications on the One M9 including its camera resolution, aperture width (f/2.2) and a 27.8 mm lens, pretty soon we received another tip which claimed that the One M9 will not be coming with Sony’s Exmor sensor as anticipated earlier. Rather, the manufacturer will be choosing Toshiba as the company of choice and will be slightly wider than the one suggested above, with an aperture width of f/2.4. Seems even the more interesting. All eyes pinned on Barcelona now, where Samsung and HTC both present us with their latest offerings.

HTC One M9’s Promotional Videos And Pictures LEAK! Showcase What To Expect From Upcoming Device

Looks like one device is eager to get ahead of the rest when it comes to leaks. And not, its not the Galaxy S6, as you’d expect to believe over the past couple of months. Rather, its the second anticipated launch at MWC this year, the HTC One M9. HTC’s flagship seems to have leaked in its entirety when it comes to design, courtesy of the notorious Upleaks. You can take a look at the screenshots of HTC’s official promotional videos below.
HTC’s Upcoming One M9 Flagship Leaks Out In Entirety – Take A Look At Sense 7, Protruding Rear Camera And More

Looks like someone’s going to be in some good trouble over at HTC, as the company has once again seen detailed specifications of one of its upcoming devices get leaked. We’ve seen several specs and benchmark leaks of the One M9, the majority of which point towards the Snapdragon 810 being the processor of choice on the HTC device, with a 20 MP rear camera coupled with audio technology straight from Dolby itself. Today’s leak focuses more on the overall design of the device, which doesn’t seem to have changed that much.

Not that that’s a bad thing. The One M8 was a pretty decent device when it came to design, and HTC’s choice to stick to the tried and tested might have provided the company the opportunity to focus elsewhere. Perhaps the primary standing point of the One M9 will be its performance, particularly the integration of Android Lollipop coupled with an upgraded Sense UI, Sense 7. This, topped off by the Snapdragon 810, which is what the device is expected to come with, despite benchmarks pointing otherwise, a 20MP rear camera, upgraded BoomSound speakers and an UltraPixel Selfie camera should make the device a decent offering for anyone wanting a flagship upgrade this year. So enjoy the massive HTC One M9 leak today, and let us know what you think in the comments section.

Final Nail In The Coffin; HTC One M9 Hands On Video Leaks At MWC!

Samsung and HTC’s upcoming flagships at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona seem to be in a race for leaks it seems. After we saw the Samsung Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 Edge leak once again today in a new video, HTC’s flagship has one-upped its Korean counterpart in a brand new video leak that comes straight from MWC and compares the One M9 to its predecessors, the One M7 and the One M8.

HTC One M9 Leaks In Comparison Video Ahead Of MWC Barcelona – Device Similar To One M8 In Design

As you can see above, looking at its predecessors, the One M9 seems to have altered very little when it comes to overall design o the device. However, once we take a look at the sides of the device, the Taiwanese manufacturer seems to have paid attention to the details on its flagship smartphone. In what’s called a dual-finish metal unibody. This gives the sides of the One M9 a golden finish when compared to the silver metal back of the device. Keep in mind that the device still uses a unibody; the sides and the back are different in terms of finish.
The power buttons and the volume controls on the One M9 are all present on the left side now, underneath the sim card holder. The bottom of the device stays similar to the One M8 and as expected, dual camera is also a thing of the past on the company’s latest flagship. Camera resolution also appears to have been boosted up to 20 MP, a feature many HTC users have been clamoring for a long time and will help the device’s standing amongst other flagships. The reason behind a single camera lens on the One M9 is said to be space limitations by the manufacturer; as stated in the video. The Ultra-Pixel front camera for the device stands at a resolution of 4 MP. That’s all for now folks. Enjoy the video above and stay tuned for tomorrow. Cheers.

In addition to the price, several specifications of the device have also been listed today. You can take a look at them below.
As expected before, and further collaborated by today’s listing, HTC’s flagship will be coming with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 810 on board. The Snapdragon 810 is the company’s first octa-core, 64 bit SoC and will bring significant performance enhancements on the floor despite several issues it has been rumored to be facing. The Snapdragon 810 will be supplemented by 3 GB of RAM on the device. The HTC One M9 will also come running Android 5.0 out of the box, and as anticipated below, the rear camera has finally seen an upgrade to 20 MP, with the front camera having a resolution of 4 MP. Other specifications listed for the device on the site include a 5 inch screen with a resolution of 1920 x 1080, which is, once again, something that has been rumored before as well. With the price of the One M9 also being leaked today, it makes us wonder what’s left for HTC to announce at the MWC today. We’ll find out in just a couple of hours, so stay tuned.

HTC One M9 Shows Up At Best Buy, 5-Inch 1080p Display And Snapdragon 810 Confirmed

If the transition from the Galaxy S4 to Galaxy S5 was disappointing to customers and detrimental to Samsung’s smartphone sales/earnings, we have to wonder if the same fate will befall HTC. We hope not, but the HTC One M9’s specs have been officially outed by Best Buy, and for better or worse, it’s more of the same.

As we have detailed in previous articles, the HTC One M9 carries on the same design theme that we first saw with the One M7 and continued with the One M8. It’s a clean, sleek, industrial look, but it would have been nice to see HTC spice things up a bit. With Samsung swinging for the fences design-wise with the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge, we’ll just have to see how HTC’s conservative approach pans out in the marketplace.

HTC is also holding the line when it comes to the One M9’s display. Instead of going with a QHD resolution like its flagship peers, the One M9 uses a 5-inch 1080p display. This may disappoint the spec-racers out there, but HTC’s move is likely to be a boon for battery life.
Moving on to One M9’s internals, things get a bit more interesting with a 2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor with 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, a microSD slot with support for up to 128GB, a 20MP rear camera, and a 4MP front-facing camera. The device of course runs Android 5.0 Lollipop.
Interestingly enough, Best Buy has already posted the off-contract pricing for the One M9, which rings in at $649.99 for the AT&T version. With so many leaks ahead of today’s official announcement, there’s not much left to reveal. Perhaps we’ll hear some more details about the One M9’s cameras, but the cat is pretty much out of the bag.
