Thermaltake UK Modding Trophy powered by Scan - Update 2We're now just under two months into the Thermaltake UK Modding Trophy powered by Scan, which is hosted by bit-tech, and it's time to check out what's going on in our modders' project logs since we last took a peek in early March.
Since then, we've had a new addition to the team - Rob Del Luce, aka mega-deblow, who joined the team to take over from Davido_labido who had to bow out. However, Rob is off to a flying start and there's been plenty of work going on in the rest of the project logs too. Here's a roundup of the latest updates and eye-candy.
Exsectus by Maki role
Project log
Maki role is on the cusp of showing us some serious eye-candy with this fantastic pass-through section for his planned water cooling system. In addition to promising to make the case mostly unrecognisable, the pass-through section, which allows the pump to be mounted to it and includes a fantastic built-in reservoir, will show off the coolant in spectacular style.
Magma Core by F3nixMods
Project log
F3nixMods' project has come a long way since our last update and we're beginning to get a feel for the look that he's going for. It's certainly living up to its name and those glowing fan grilles actually look like they're red hot. The eye-candy will be strong with this one.
MODZERO OCTO by HackJoe
Project log
HackJoe is currently waiting on some parts to arrive, but we've got some interesting views of his plans in some detailed renders he's uploaded. The sweeping cut-out panels look great and we can't wait to see his next update.
POD II, The Stronghold by abbas-it
Project log
As usual, abbas-it has cast his unwavering focus on his project and has all but completed it already. This stunning PC is certainly a hugely extensive case mod and we love the use of black springs on the tubing to give it an industrial look. We can't wait to see the final photos.
Virtual by mega-deblow
Project log
Our last project is newcomer mega-deblow's who joined the fray more recently so isn't as far along as some of the other projects. However, we're already getting an idea of what he has in store with an extensively modded case and some airbrushing is just around the corner too. This one is definitely one to watch.
That's all for this update. We'll be back soon with our final update and other modding articles.
