    Apple New iPods - 2015

Apple Working On New 64 GB iPods; July 14 Release Date

Just recently, we received news concerning the price tag of Verizon’s 16 GB iPhone 6s, and now the company is looking revive its iPod lineup with 64 GB iPods. Part of why the Cupertino tech giant might be looking to release these products in to the market is because it wants to generate a significant amount of revenue and notoriety from its Apple Music Service. The 64 GB iPods will include three devices, which are as follows:

    • iPod touch
    • iPod shuffle
    • iPod nano

64 GB iPods Might Make Their Way For A Public Announcement On July 14

According to igen, the 64 GB iPods mentioned above are going to be available to purchase in the following colors:

    • Gold
    • Electric blue
    • Fuchsia
    • Classic black
    • Pink
    • Gray sidereal

The source also mentions references number that have been uniquely designated to a different product, with the details of all 64 GB iPods provided below:

    • New iPod touch (reference number n102)
    • New iPod nano (reference number n31a)
    • New iPods shuffle (reference number n12d)

We expect the new iPod touch to sport impressive hardware specifications, so in short, we might be looking at an A8 present in the device. Looking at how Apple incorporated a previous generation SoC to its 5th generation iPod (to refresh your memory, it was a dual-core A5 SoC), we should expect the device to be running the same mobile chipset that is currently present in the company’s iPhone 6 duo.
As for the price tag, the new iPod touch and the remaining devices are expected to feature a much larger one compared to its previous generation counterparts due to the amount of onboard memory present in them. If the upcoming iPod touch is incorporated with an A8 chipset, then you should expect that price to shoot up.
Looks like we are going to be waiting anxiously for July 14 to arrive to see what surprises Apple has in store for use. Would you like to see 64 GB iPods get unveiled by Apple? Let us know your thoughts.

Apple Is Likely To Launch New iPod Models Later Today

It’s been a very long time since Apple has pondered over to upgrade its iPod lineup. Some of us even believed the iPod is history and have no chance ahead but false alarm people. It is expected that Apple is most likely to launch revamped iPod models with fresh and up-to-date features and hardware. Reports say Apple will not only launch a new model for its iPod Touch lineup but all of the present iPod models are to be updated.

According to a French website lgen, Apple is said to launch new models for iPod Touch, iPod Nano and iPod Shuffle which will feature a wide range of colors that includes Gold, dark blue, dark pink as seen in the iTunes 12.2 update. 9to5mac reports, “Apple will be rolling out a refreshed line of iPods today, according to sources.”
8MP Camera, 64-Bit Chip, Gold Color Option And More for The iPod Touch

The major upgrade comes in for the iPod Touch but most of it is focused internally. In the camera department, Apple will finally update the rear camera to 8 megapixel from 5 megapixel. The camera spec will be leveled with the iPad Air 2 and the iPhones. This will give the iPod Touch a bump in hardware specs as which were highly anticipated as well as demanded.
Other than this, the performance will also be enhanced considering the news for a 64-bit chip for better graphics and performance. The new iPod Touch (6th generation) will also feature Apple’s first with an ‘M’ Series processor for tracking purposes and recording elevation plus other fitness data. The storage capacity have also been boosted to 128GB with a prices increase.

The revamped iPod will come with a pre-installed iOS 8.4 featuring Apple Music. Since, the iPod was initially a music device, its uncanny if didn’t get Apple Music. Plus its a great release time followed by a 30th June launch of Apple Music. Furthermore, the aforementioned 128GB model will cost $399, $299 for the 64GB variant and it still starts with$199 for the 16GB.
This is the long awaited update after 2012 and it seems that there is no change in an overall design and dimensions. Hopefully, Apple will consider changing the look and feel of the iPod in the near future but as for now, internals with brains is the major focus point. This is it for now, let us know how you liked these changes.

Apple Store was officially taken down earlier this morning ahead of this expected launch. We had already shared with you that the 2015 iPod touch was going to sport a faster 64-bit A8 processor among other major improvements under the hood. A8 CPU for 2015 iPod touch lineup finally brings the cheapest iOS device in line with its more advanced and faster iPhone and iPad cousins. • Faster 64-bit A8 processing unit which is an upgrade from A5 SoC.
    • Motion “M” co-processor for tracking steps, elevation and more.
    • Retains the display size at 4-inches and resolution at 1136 x 640.
    • New 128GB storage variant now offered for $399.
    • 16 GB base model available for $199.
    • 1GB of RAM.

Latest iPod Touch Has A8 Chip Running At 1.1 GHz; Benchmarks Detailed

Only recently, we published a report detailing the capacity variants of Apple’s newly released iPod Touch. The device is armed with an A8 chipset that features a dual-core processor running at 1.1 GHz. Additionally, the rear camera sensor has a maximum image capturing resolution of 8 megapixels. Apart from leaking the clock speed of the A8 SoC running inside iPod Touch, benchmarking results of the newly released product have also been detailed.

Apple iPod Touch Gets Taken For A Geekbench 3 Run; Scores Impressively As Compared To The A5 Running iPod Touch

According to the latest testing reports, A8 running inside iPod Touch is a tad bit slower as compared to the clock speed of the CPU running inside iPhone 6. Given below is the comparison:

    • iPod Touch: 1.1 GHz dual-core
    • iPhone 6: 1.39 GHz dual-core

When taken for a Geekbench 3 run, iPod touch was able to score 1379 points on the single-core test and 2440 points in the multi-core test right out of the box. In contrast, that is a huge boost in scores if you compare the A5 running iPod Touch, which only scored 215 and 410 points in respective tests. Additionally, Apple has also raised the bar in the features department.

For starters, iPod Touch happens to be the very first mobile device to feature a Bluetooth 4.1 module, which offers less connection interference with LTE bands, improved power management, and most importantly, better data transfer. The only drawback is that Bluetooth 4.1 provides limited connectivity range.
As for the pricing details, iPod Touch will be retailing for $199 for the 16 GB model. Those who feel that 16 GB is not adequate enough, can spend $249 and acquire themselves a 32 GB model, $299 for the 64 GB model, and last but certainly not least, $399 for the 128 GB model.

It’s available from the Apple online store beginning today. Apple might have extended its iPod portfolio by releasing nano and shuffle models in new colors, but the internal components of these products have remain unchanged.

Download iOS 8.4 for the Brand New iPod touch 6 – IPSW

Apple has seeded out the latest iOS 8.4 for iPod 6. Cupertino tech manufacturer launched the sixth generation of iPods earlier today which is now being followed with the software update.

iOS 8.4 for iPod 6 released:

Powered by an A8 processing chipset, iPod 6 has just received iOS 8.4 update – the very latest firmware from Apple. This brings the long-forgotten iOS device in line with the rest of the iOS devices lineup both in terms of hardware specs and firmware. 2015 iPod is already on sale and you can download iOS 8.4 for iPod 6 immediately as well.

Apple released iOS 8.4 two weeks back for rest of the iOS devices including the fifth generation iPod. iOS 8.4 is a major update from Apple as it brings the company’s music streaming service, Apple Music. Beats 1, new Music app, and improved apps were part of this firmware version. Many are linking the release of new iPod , which has seen an upgrade after 2012, with Apple Music’s launch.
Download iOS 8.4 for iPod 6 and update your iPod to the very latest OS.

Apple released iPod touch earlier today with a faster 64-bit A8 processor, an improved 8-megapixel iSight primary shooter, and a storage capacity of 128 GB. Apple has kept the screen size to 4-inch Retina display very much like the iPod touch 5th gen. Resolution is also kept same on the new iPod touch. You will find the iPod 6 in more color choices including gold, with the base model starting from $199. No touch ID fingerprint sensor, no improvements in screen, but we suppose the new power specs do the job for those looking for the most budget iOS device.
iPod 6 comes pre-installed with iOS 8.4, keep this firmware file if you intend to jailbreak your 2015 iPod using TaiG or Pangu jailbreak tools.

The New iPod Shuffle And Nano Are Not Really Apple Music Compatible

Yesterday marked the day for updated iPod models revamped after three years of idleness and being left out. Not just a single variant of iPod has been toyed with but all of the existing variants are revamped in their own ways. iPod shuffle and iPod nano have received new color options which are by far more pleasant to the eyes than the previous ones. In the category of the iPod Touch, it has received a more advanced level of upgrade.

The 6th generation iPod touch have upgraded itself from a 5 megapixel rear facing camera to an 8 megapixel. It features Apple’s first ‘M’ series processor which would make it a faster device. Starting of with $199 for a 16 GB model, Apple has not really changed prices by a lot. However, one thing that just came up translates that the iPod Nano and iPod Shuffle are not compatible with Apple Music.
No Apple Music Support For iPod Nano And iPod Shuffle

What’s an iPod without Apple Music? iMore has confirmed that the two aforementioned variants, iPod Nano and Shuffle, will probably never be compatible with Apple Music in terms of the music streaming service. The news is heart tearing for all iPod lovers out there. Even though the two variants did not hosted any Wi-Fi capabilities, it was assumed that Apple would adhere them to be used as devices which can sync offline listening tracks and playlists from Apple Music. When we try to sync; iTunes deny to copy songs from Apple Music.

This gives users a false expression of the two devices. It is presumed by users that only color upgrade defines the demise of the two music players. Possibly, the lack of support for Apple Music means that Apple will soon get rid of its iPod Nano and Shuffle lineup soon. It can be sensed that Apple does not have any future plans for non-iOS holding iPod variants. The iPod Touch has been revamped in many aspects and users expect Nano and Shuffle to be treated the same.
Apple could have added support for offline listening just as it did in the Apple Watch. The Nano and Shuffle may lose potential sales due to the reason as no internals are changed, hardware or software except for several color options. This is it for now, let us know how you guys feel about the lack of Apple Music compatibility on iPod Nano and Shuffle.

    Apple stuffs up iPod release

It does not work with Apple Music

Apple appears to have forgotten all about its new iPod and forgotten to make it play nice with Apple music.

It is fair enough, the iPod is old technology, but the question is why release it at all if you are not going to support it?
According to Apple its non-support of Apple Music on the iPod is to curb privacy. Apple Music tracks will work on an iPod Touch because Apple will be able to remove the locally stored tracks if the user cancels their subscription.
So why not allow iPods to do that when they were refreshed Wednesday in the first update for the iPod line since October 2012? No one is really sure. It is probably something to do with the iPod department not being allowed to talk to the Apple Music department in one of Apple's famous company security firewalls.
Apple Music tracks can be saved to an iPod Touch because it runs iOS and nothing else. Thus on the new iPod models Apple Music tracks can't be synced.
Even in the Tame Apple Press writers are questioning if iPod Shuffles or Nanos are worthwhile products in 2015. But since we have been saying that about every Apple toy after the Apple IIc that is not really an argument.
Apple is clearly bored with the iPod, apart from the iPod Touch, which is being positioned as an entry-level iOS device and heaven forbid that something so dated should work with its god-awful music streaming service.

iPod touch 6 generation 2015 has A8 SoC

iFixit finds 1GB RAM, 1043 mAh battery

iFixit has treated down iPod touch and it showed us what the device has inside.

We knew is the iPod comes with 4 inch 1136x640 pixel resolution with 326 PPI and support for Multi-Touch IPS technology, what is more interesting is under the bonnet.
iFixit has revealed the iPod's heart is A8 chip with 64-bit architecture or Apple A8 APL1011 SoC + SK Hynix RAM H9CKNNN8KTMRWR-NTH 1 GB LPDDR3 RAM.
The only difference between iPod touch 2015 and iPhone's A8 processor is that iPod chip is clocked at 1.1GHz.
The second important chip is the M8 Motion Coprocessor which is internally branded as NXP Semiconductors LPC18B1UK ARM Cortex-M3 Microcontroller.
The memory comes the accounting scandal ridden Toshiba and it has 16GB for $199, 32GB for $299 and 64GB for $399. The InvenSense MP67B 6-axis Gyroscope and Accelerometer takes care of the devices orientation and car playing games. The Bluetooth/Wi-Fi Module based on Broadcom BCM4354 device and iFixit is sure that Broadcom BCM5976 and Texas Instruments 343S0645 take care of touchscreen commands.
The device is hard to repair and getting only four out of ten in reparability scores. The iPod Touch 6th generation is great for kids whose parents want them to have a music device but they still don't trust them with the mobile network.

2015 iPod touch 6 Vs Previous Generation iPod touch Models – Comparison Video

Here’s a video comparing the new 2015 iPod touch 6 with every previous iPod touch Apple has ever released in its lifetime.
The 2015 iPod touch 6 turned out to be a surprising but yet expected release, considering that it carries the aesthetics of a device that was released back in 2012 (iPod touch 5) and comes packed with a CPU that lives inside the iPhone 6, making it a perfect blend of old and new in one swift package. All in all, the new 2015 iPod touch 6 is a powerhouse living inside a dwarfed out aluminum shell when compared to today’s standards. And that’s obviously not a bad thing in our books.

But the big question is: how does the new 2015 iPod touch 6 compare to all of the iPod touches Apple has released in the past? On paper, the new portable media player by Cupertino is bound to crush its predecessors in one fell swoop, and it actually does, thanks to Apple’s second-generation 64-bit A8 processor coupled with 1GB of RAM instead of 512MB found in the iPod touch 5. So the short answer to that question we raised is: the 2015 iPod touch 6 is the best portable touch-screen media player Apple has ever done till date.

In a video published by EverythingApplePro on YouTube, it becomes abundantly clear that the 2015 iPod touch 6 is miles ahead of previous generation iPod touches in the performance department. Launching apps is significantly faster than before, and there’s barely any stutter when moving through different pages of apps or menus. And of course, gaming performance is where the new iPod touch really shines, but honestly, all that power being displayed on a 4-inch screen might be a deal breaker for some. Apple should have at least went with a 4.7-inch panel with the new 2015 iPod touch 6, but it did not, and it makes sense as to why is that so – the company does not want to cannibalize the sales of the iPhone. Hence, sticking to a smaller display sounded like a logical choice.
The new 2015 iPod touch 6 even comes in a variety of colors right off the bat as well, giving users even more choice than before. And oh, Apple has tossed in a gold color option this time around as well, so if you’re a gold lover – or fanatic – then you can rest assured that your can have an all-gold Apple product lineup at home.
Check out the video below for yourself, and be sure to let us know what you think about the new 2015 iPod touch 6 as well.
