AMD has reduced the MSRPs of its Radeon RX 6000 series RDNA2 graphics cards in order to compete more effectively with NVIDIA's high-end RTX 30-series cards as the product lifecycles of both companies come to a conclusion. The new pricing list was finalized on September 15, and it is now being implemented at big online retailers. The top Radeon RX 6950 XT costs $949, while the RX 6900 XT costs $699. The second is a better buy because it performs nearly as well as the RX 6950 XT but costs $250 less. The RX 6800 XT is now $599, which is $100 less than the RX 6900 XT while being roughly 5% faster. It will cost $549 if you can find a non-XT RX 6800.
MSRP reductions also effect SKUs in the performance and mid-price ranges. The RX 6750 XT is now $419, while the RX 6700 XT is $379. Both cards outperform the RTX 3060 Ti and RTX 3070, making them worth considering. The RX 6650 XT retails for $299 and replaces the RX 6600 XT in the lineup. If you can get an RX 6600 XT, it should cost around $239. The entry-level RX 6500 XT and RX 6400 are now priced correctly at $169 for the RX 6500 XT and $149 for the RX 6400. The RTX 40-series "Ada" graphics cards from NVIDIA have already been released, albeit only at the very top end. The RTX 4090 will be available for $1,600 in mid-October. AMD will unveil its new PC range on November 3.
