Some Epic account details have been leaked as plain text email and passwordsEpic account details for Fortnite have been leaked on Pastebin. They are plain text emails and passwords, with a list of the skins owned by each account.
The ones I'm aware of were small in scale, only containing 597 accounts, but there could be other pastes containing more accounts. Check on haveibeenpwned for a paste listed at the bottom and change all of your passwords associated with your email address if it is listed in the paste.
This is what the paste looks like on pastebin.
This is what you're looking for on HIBP
EDIT: After coming back to this post and reading some well thought out and informative replies, I can see that the consensus is that the details of the accounts listed on the paste most likely are from individual leaks that have been used to gain access to Epic Games accounts.
I had other accounts that got broken into starting the day after the paste was posted online (Twitch, Deliveroo and Ubisoft) so I decided to see if HIBP had any more info. I saw that the list of plaintext usernames and passwords were for Fortnite accounts, listing skins for each account as well. That, coupled with the fact this is literally the first paste I've ever encountered, and HIBP themselves say that a paste is usually an early indicator of a breach means I decided that I should probably let people know because although this seems small scale at 597 accounts, there could be many more pastes. Some users have reported finding more pastes, which were also listing Epic games accounts and passwords.
Just to be clear, I currently don't know if these are definitely the work of outside sources that have then tested credentials they have found/bought with Epic Accounts, or if this is indeed an early sign of a breach as HIBP suggests. Nor did I or do I suggest that Epic themselves store account details in plain text, as I simply do not know. All I wanted to do was inform people that if you have an Epic Games or Fortnite account it's worth checking HIBP to check if your credentials haven't been leaked.

I hope you have a better day than we're having. It shouldn't be that hard. pic.twitter.com/1v1TFemmvb
@SatisfactoryAF Any plans on a steam release in a very distant future? Since it already has a community hub and app ID?

Epic Games Launcher client may cause a spike in temperature on some AMD Ryzen and Intel CPUs
“Doing some testing on another personal machine, we noticed that the Epic Games Launcher has five different processes open at one time. Out of curiosity, we opened up Glasswire, which is a free network traffic monitor. We could see that the Epic Games Launcher and associated processes were firing off data at regular intervals to over 22 different servers.
This was happening whether we had the launcher open, minimized, or in the background. The larger spikes shown in the Glasswire graph below are from when we reopened the Epic Games launcher after closing it.”
It has also been reported that the Epic Games Launcher/EGL is sending 14x more as much data as Steam and NVIDIA Geforce Experience, while working in the background during the same timeframe.

Toca a mudar a password na conta da Epic...
I just got an alert that https://t.co/bvnJ8lexFI has possibly suffered a data exposure over over 106 million records including emails and possibly passwords. This is why you need to make sure you don't always use the same pass word.

Apple targets Epic Games, claiming that its store will not turn a profit until 2027
In the midst of a heated legal dispute between Apple and Epic Games, Apple's attorneys have just added more fuel to the flames with their most recent claims. In response to Epic's claim that the Epic Games Store is comparable to Apple's App Store, Apple's lawyers attacked the company with numbers that reflect the significant losses that the EGS is causing, claiming that the two stores "do not compare in absolute terms" because the Epic store "will not be profitable for many years, if not ever" As if that weren't enough, forecasts indicate that the Epic Games Store will generate its first profits only in 2027, under the best of circumstances. Yes, even under the best-case scenario, they will suffer hundreds of millions of dollars in losses for the next eight years.
While Apple's statements are not particularly contextual and are merely intended to make Epic look bad, the lawyers for the company also noted that "“while Epic's commissions are lower than Apple's, they do not offer all the services that Apple provides. EGS is basically a showcase, it does not have the functions that make the App Store a platform desired by consumers and developers ”. As a showcase, the EGS does not provide the features that users and developers look for in an app store.
The struggle is still waging, and this is only the first chapter of what will be many more to come. It will be interesting to see when this legal war comes to a close and what effects it produces, but all indications point to it not being completed anytime soon.
