Ahead of today's Square Enix Presents showcase, the next Life is Strange title has leaked. A listing on GameInformer confirms that it is titled Life is Strange: True Colors and it's being developed by Deck Nine. This game stars an entirely new protagonist with a mysterious new power.
Per the game's Steam listing, the protagonist is named Alex Chen, wielding the power of Empathy, allowing her to absorb, experience and even change around the emotions of those around her, which she perceives as blazing, bright colors. The plot kicks off with the death of Chen's brother, which she begins to investigate. Deck Nine previously developed Life is Strange: Before the Storm, a prequel story set before the events of the first Life is Strange, which was developed by Dontnod, the team that also developed Life is Strange 2.
The Deluxe Edition of Life is Strange: True Colors includes new outfits and an extra sidequest. The Ultimate Edition includes the Deluxe Edition items, as well as a remaster of Life is Strange and Life is Strange: Before the Storm, including a Zombie Chloe outfit.
Life is Strange: True Colors currently has a release date of September 10, 2021. It's coming to Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4, PC and Stadia.
