Microsoft to cut Windows 7 OEM supply next month
Ryzen R5 3700X / Noctua NH-D15 / B550 AORUS ELITE V2 / Cooler Master H500 Mesh / 16Gb DDR4 @ 3800mhz CL16 / Gigabyte RTX 2070 Super / Seasonic Focus GX 750W / Sabrent Q Rocket 2 TB / Crucial MX300 500Gb + Samsung 250Evo 500Gb / Edifier R1700BT

Fractal Define Mini | i5 3570k@4.5GHz & Noctua NH-D15S | Asrock Z77 Pro4-M | Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1060 G1 6GB | Kingston HyperX Fury 16GB 1866 | 3TB + Samsung 850 250GB | SuperFlower Leadex 750W GOLD | Creative Sound Blaster Z

Man não digam mal do Windows 8.... neste momento deve estar um certo user assim:
AHAHAH!

Microsoft has officially stopped selling retail copies of some versions of Windows 7 and 8.The date to stop selling the software was set some time ago and should help Microsoft move people on to more recent versions of its operating system.
Separately, statistics suggest people are finally moving away from some very old versions of Windows.
The next version of Windows, called Windows 10, is due to be released in late 2015.

From 31 October, consumers could no longer buy copies of the Home Basic, Home Premium and Ultimate versions of Windows 7. Now, Windows 8 is also no longer available. The change affects both copies bought in shops or loaded on PCs and laptops.
The current version of Windows, 8.1, will be the default version offered on PCs.
The change will take time to feed through into the market, as many PC makers have large stocks of older versions of Windows and will continue to sell PCs running the software.
Those keen to get a computer running Windows 7 will be able to “downgrade” from 8.1 to Windows 7 Professional but relatively few PC firms offer this option.
Gordon Kelly, writing in Forbes, said the policy revealed “Microsoft’s determination to distance itself from the original form of Windows 8″ despite it being released just over two years ago.
The original version of Windows 8 did not prove popular because it did away with some familiar elements of the desktop version of the operating system.
By contrast, he said, Windows 7 has been available since late 2009 and is still very popular among users. About 53% of Windows users are on the various editions of Version 7 of Windows, he said. The more recently released Windows 8 has only grabbed a 6% market share and has already been surpassed by 8.1, said Mr Kelly.

DX 12 não deve vir para o Windows 7.
Noticia completa:AMD’s chief gaming scientist, Richard Huddy, has said that Microsoft’s new low-level rendering API, DirectX 12, won’t be coming to Windows 7 users. DirectX 12 isn’t due out until the end of next year so Microsoft has yet to officially reveal operating system compatibility itself.
The new API is pretty much guaranteed to hit Windows 10, considering that it is releasing after April next year. It is also pretty likely that Microsoft won’t alienate Windows 8.1 users. However, it looks like Windows 7 users may finally have a reason to upgrade. In a presentation at PDXLAN this month and uploaded by Sapphire, AMD’s Richard Huddy said:
“52 percent of all people who use Microsoft operating systems these days are still using Windows 7, and that number is going up. It’s a very very popular operating system and one thing that’s not going to happen to it is DX12, DX 12 is not coming to Windows 7″.
