    Cyberpunk 2077

    Uploaded with ImageShack.us

Cyberpunk 2077 is an ambitious RPG for mature audience, set in the corrupt and tech-advanced world of the year 2077 and is being developed by CD Projekt RED in association with the Cyberpunk Pen & Paper system author, Mike Pondsmith.

CD Projekt Augments Cyberpunk’s Name, Location, Combat

Man, what even is a Cyberpunk? CD Projekt announced that it was making one earlier this year, but tossed us back into the rain-slick, neon-bathed streets starved for details. For the longest time, I assumed it was some kind of cleaning device – perhaps a rival to the Dirt Devil – but eventually came around to the idea that it could also be a videogame. Turns out, the latter is correct, as CDP’s finally seen fit to toss a few chunks of concrete information our way. For one, the decidely un-witchy RPG’s full name is now Cyberpunk 2077, catapulting it forward in time from the pen-and-paper game’s 2020. Also – perhaps most tantalizingly of all – it’s one-upping The Witcher’s non-linear ways with a full-blown cybernetic sandbox.

The news emerged during a recent CDP/GOG news-a-polooza, during which it was also revealed that Cyberpunk’s sandbox will center around Night City – with locations ranging from “a combat zone completely taken over by gangs” to “the legendary Afterlife joint” to “the nostalgic Forlorn Hope.”

Combat, meanwhile, will be based on the pen-and-paper game’s core mechanics, but with an eye toward, well, actual structure. CDP explained in a post on the new Cyberpunk 2077 blog:

“This is why adapting pen & paper rules to video game is not as easy as it can appear at first glance. The flexibility of an in-person RPG has to be replaced with a strict set of rules. Every skill, attribute and game mechanic has to have a clear definition and place in the game.”

“For example, the Cyberpunk 2020 “Wardrobe & Style” skill governs the knowledge about the right clothes to wear, when to wear them and how to look cool even in a spacesuit. As you can see, this skill covers quite a big area of lore and can be interpreted differently, depending on the situation and the players. In Cyberpunk 2077 this skill has to be tied to a specific gameplay mechanic. And all of these mechanics have to be clearly defined so they can work well with other elements of the game and, at the same time, be easy to understand for the player. After all, we don’t have a referee or game master to explain or interpret the rules as you go.”
For now, CDP isn’t talking exact specifics of how it plans to grapple with that issue. However, original creator Mike “my buttery rasp is humanity’s most inspiring moments given voice” Pondsmith is heavily involved in the process, so there’s a definite focus on adhering to his original vision as closely as possible.

By the looks of things (and by “things,” I mean nothings, as we still haven’t seen any screenshots or videos), Cyberpunk’s still very early at this point. If nothing else, though, CDP’s obviously starting to ramp up its efforts, and CEO Marcin Iwinski did tell us during E3 to expect more toward the end of the year. So then, 2077′s a long way off, but hopefully, it’s a little closer than we think.

Fica então o tópico feito para futuras notícias de mais uma obra prima da CDProjekt RED que promete. Ainda em estado embrionário, mas já com alta expectativa, o próprio trailer tem estado a ganhar vários prémios de melhor de 2013.

Cyberpunk 2077 – CD Projekt RED’ Other Open World RPG Might Make an Appearance at E3

CD projekt RED, the studio behind the hugely anticipated The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, has another incredibly promising title in development. Cyberpunk 2077, is the Polish studio’s other open-word RPG currently in development. Both titles are immense in scope and size, and so far not much has been revealed for Cyberpunk 2077.

While The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is set in a medieval fantasy world, filled with swords, magic and knights, Cyberpunk features a futuristic, technologically advanced setting. Not much is not at this point, since there hasn’t been any information following its announcement a while back, but is appears that CD Projekt RED are beginning to transition some of their developers into work on Cyberpunk 2077. It was originally announced back in January 2013.

Senior Gameplay Designer at CD Projekt RED, Damien Monnier, in a recent interview with NewGameNetwork, was looking back at the amount of work on The Witcher 3, and called it “an accomplishment.” Some of the developers have been there since the first Witcher game was launched.
Monnier, subsequently commented about Cyberpunk 2077, and how the team is excited about the work it will bring.
“I know a few people are pleased to not be doing swords and armors anymore. They want to change a bit, they’re a bit envious of our Cyberpunk team. They want to be doing guns and stuff,” he explained

CD Projekt RED’s vision for Cyberpunk 2077 seems incredibly inspired

CD Projekt RED, has stayed quite silent ever since the debut trailer over two years ago. The studio will likely make an appearance at E3 later this year, and probably introduce some new DLC for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. It wouldn’t be too surprising though, if we get some new information on Cyberpunk 2077, and hopefully some gameplay footage. Since The Witcher 3, will be complete soon, the team might have just enough time to pull this off.
Cyberpunk 2077 is based on the Cyberpunk series of tabletop role-playing games, written by Mike Pondsmith and published by R. Talsorian Games in 1988. It will feature a dystopian futuristic world in which ultra-modern technology co-exists with a degenerated human society. From what the debut trailer revealed, CD Projekt RED’s vision for Cyberpunk 2077 appears to be inspired.
We will bring you any new information on Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher 3 as soon as it becomes available. E3 2015 will take place in Los Angeles, CA from June 16-18.

CD Projekt Red’s Cyberpunk 2077 Will Be a 2017 Release

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt game reviews have been very good to say the least. Witcher 3 has hardly received has any score less than a 9 out of 10 and rarely have we seen games receiving such a score or a grand welcome by the reviewers. On the other end, it looks like CD Projekt Red will give the Witcher 3 all the time it needs to settle down into the gaming market before releasing another one of their games. Another one of CD Projekt Red’s announced and highly anticipated title is Cyberpunk 2077 which was revealed 3 years back in 2012. But the developers have made it clear that it’s not a title for the near future.

The Futuristic Ultra-Modern World of Cyberpunk 2077 is a Title for 2017

CD Projekt Red have made it clear that Cyberpunk won’t be coming to our gaming platforms any time soon. In an interview with Reuters, CD Projekt CEO Adam Kicinski said:
“We hope and we are certain that Cyberpunk has even bigger commercial potential. It is too early to talk about it, though. This year, and the next one will be the years of The Witcher.”

CD Projekt Red has already promised the gamers a lot including 16 Free DLCs and 2 Premium expansions for the Witcher 3. Hence the work on Cyberpunk 2077 is a bit far off at the moment. The developers want to take as much advantage of the Witcher 3 profit as they can because of its successful sale release:
“Sales of the third part will be many times higher than with our earlier games. Preorders indicate this. We broke into the mainstream. It is such a moment in our firm’s history that after some years people will look differently at CD Projekt before and after this release.”
The success of Witcher 3 can be gauged by the fact that the game has already sold 1.5 million copies as compared to 1.7 and 1 million of copies sold for the previous two version respectively. This huge profit, according to the Projekt Red CEO’s interview to the Reuters, will be used to finance future projects for the Witcher 3 including the two premium add-ons as mentioned above and the future project of CD Projekt Red i.e. Cyberpunk 2077.
CD Projekt Red does not overburden the gamers with releases after releases. They focus on singular big projects and when they make their way into the gaming arena, they change the industry standard for benchmark games. Looking forward to a successful and awesome release of CD Projekt Red in Cyberpunk 2077.

CD Projekt Red is Now “Hard at Work” on Cyberpunk 2077

Cyberpunk 2077 is another highly anticipated CD Projekt Red title which has not caught the headline very often these days. It might be because earlier the title was confirmed not be release for a couple of years. Previously, the CEO of CD Projekt Red confirmed in an interview that Cyberpunk 2077 will be a 2017 release. He confirmed that the CD Projekt Red team was completely focused on the Witcher 3 for now and will start working on Cyberpunk once the launch for Witcher 3 is over with. He said:
“We hope and we are certain that Cyberpunk has even bigger commercial potential. It is too early to talk about it, though. This year, and the next one will be the years of The Witcher.”
As a result of this confirmation, Cyberpunk has avoided the headlines up until now that we have further news to share about the game with our readers.

CD Projekt Red Team is Moving Towards Cyberpunk 2077

According to CD Projekt Co-founder Marcin Iwinski, part of the development team has already moved onto Cyberpunk 2077. In an interview to IGN, he said:
“The core team is working The Witcher 3′s expansions, but more and more people are moving over onto Cyberpunk.”

That is good news to hear but if Cyberpunk 2077 is still a 2017 release, why did they announce it?
“We released the Cyberpunk teaser trailer because we wanted to see how gamers felt about it,” Iwinski explained. “We were super excited about the project internally, but what if it wasn’t the right thing [for us]? But the response has been incredible. Now it’s just up to us to deliver. We’re hard at work on it.”
They also praised Fallout 4 adding that:
“We’re impressed with Fallout 4’s rollout. They came on stage and said ‘It’s here, it’s real, and it’s coming out on this date.’ We’re going to do something similar. We’re going to wait [to reveal the game] until we can show off a very meaningful piece of it.”
So again, it might be some time before you hear about CD Projekt Red’s upcoming title but after the superb release of Witcher 3,the expectation are sky-high from the gaming community and it will be some time before we actually know how to channel those expectations as no further information will be surfacing any time soon.
We will keep you up to date with any news regarding CD Projekts releases so stay tuned and share your views with us in the comments section.

    Cyberpunk 2077 Isn’t Just a Sci-Fi Witcher 3

Following the runaway success of CD Projekt RED’s sprawling RPG epic The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, all eyes have turned to the developer’s next project, the much-hyped Cyberpunk 2077, based on the tabletop role-playing game Cyberpunk 2020. The game, which has been in development since 2012, has been heralded by CD Projekt RED as “far bigger than anything else that [we have] done before”.
Lead Quest Designer Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz teased further details about Cyberpunk 2077 during a live streamed panel at PAX Australia, during which he revealed that the new RPG will be more than just The Witcher 3 with a sci-fi skin:
“Definitely, we want to keep the things that were good about it [the quest design system] for Cyberpunk, and basically we don’t want to change things that were working properly. So we will stick to the guidelines that were working.
I think there are things that we could have done better, so we will adjust it to Cyberpunk’s requirements. Also, it’s a completely different game, It’s obviously an RPG as well, but it has totally different systems. We need to focus on making the gameplay fun in different ways than sword fighting is.
So I think we will have to adjust, but like I said, we will try to keep all the good things that we did on The Witcher.”
The release of CD Projekt RED’s Cyberpunk 2077 is thought to be at least two years away, but some big reveals regarding the game could hit next March, predicts DualShockers.

CDPR: Cyberpunk 2077 Even More Ambitious Than Planned; Not Forgetting About The Witcher

Cyberpunk 2077 is even more ambitious than we CD Projekt Red first planned, and the Polish developer wants to create a game that will be even more successful than The Witcher 3. CD Projekt Red won’t be forgetting The Witcher brand though, and although it’s too early to talk about a sequel, CD Projekt Red’s CEO, doesn’t think The Witcher 3 will be the end of the franchise.

The developer’s CEO Adam Kicinski, recently said this during an interview with Polish TV station TVN24 BiS. The TV station invited Kicinski for an interview following The Game Awards 2015. At the event, The Witcher 3 won three awards, including the ‘Best-game-of-the-year’ award.
Cyberpunk 2077 even more ambitious, but not forgetting about The Witcher

CD Projekt Red is currently working hard on their ambitious Cyberpunk 2077 project – a project that is said to be far, far bigger than The Witcher 3. “Cyberpunk is far bigger than anything else that CD Projekt Red has done before,” visual effects artist Jose Teixeira told website MCV back in October “Far, far bigger.
“We’re really stepping into the unknown in terms of complexity and size and problems we encounter.”
    Advertisements

As it turns out, Cyberpunk 2077 is turning out to be even more ambitious than initially planned, and CD Projekt Red wants to create a game that’s even more successful than the Witcher 3. During the interview with TVN24 BiS, Kicinksi said the following:
The project is even more ambitious than we first planned (…) we need to create a game that will be even more successful. (…) We have a long way ahead of us to reach the biggest commercial successes in the world. Sure, many people consider The Witcher 3 to be the best game in the world this year, but this is not a game that broke any sales record.
Although it seems that CD Projekt Red is in full blown production for Cyberpunk, it seems that the developer isn’t forgetting about The Witcher franchise. According Kicinski, this wouldn’t be fair to fans of the franchise.
It’s too early to talk about it, but it’s not like we’re forgetting about this brand – that’s understandable. (…) It wouldn’t be fair towards the fans. We work within this universe for over a dozen years now and I don’t think it’s going to be the end of it.
We probably won’t see a Witcher sequel in some years, but it’s good to know that CD Projekt Red won’t be forgetting the series.

Updated: CDPR’s Cyberpunk 2077 Might Well Release in 2016

Update 8/12/2015 17:46: CD Projekt Red has commented on the report, stating that CDPR doesn’t comment on rumors

Hold your horses – if a recent report from one of Europe’s biggest gaming publications is to be believed, CD Projekt Red’s Cyberpunk 2077 might well be releasing before the end of 2016.
According the German gaming website Gamereactor.de , a “source close to the company” claims that CD Projekt Red is currently aiming to release their most ambitious game so far before the end of 2016.
As for now, the only version in development is the PC version of the game. Judging from the amazing success of the ‘The Witcher 3’ though (3 awards, including best-game-of-the-year), the game might will be released on the PS4 and Xbox One as well.
Cyberpunk 2077 far bigger than the Witcher 3 & even more ambitious

Cyberpunk 2077 is to be “far, far bigger” than The Witcher 3, and according CD Projekt Red’s CEO, the game is even ‘more ambitious” than initially planned.

Back in 2012, CD Projekt Red announced that they were working on a triple AAA RPG, based on the “Cyberpunk®” Universe.

Cyberpunk 2077 will be designed for mature and demanding players who expect to be treated seriously, and the game will be richly detailed, non-linear, and with a complex and gripping story. Players will experience the world through their own, unique characters chosen from different classes. As in the Witcher series, players will face morally ambiguous choices, their actions influencing events in the world at large and the fate of the individuals they encounter.

CDPR On CyberPunk 2077 Report: “We Don’t Comment On Rumors”

Following the rumor that CDPR’s Cyberpunk 2077 might be released in 2016, the game’s developer commented on the rumor via Twitter.

Today we posted that according to sources close to German website Gamereactor, CD Projekt Red’s Cyberpunk 2077 may release before the end of 2016. Allegedly, the developer is currently only working on a PC version of the RPG, but since CD Projekt Red wants this title to be even more successful than ‘The Witcher 3’ was, console versions are almost inevitable.

The Witcher 3 Composer Returns For Cyberpunk 2077; First Attempts Made

Marcin Przybylowicz, composer for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, will be returning for CD Projekt Red’s upcoming action role-playing game, Cyberpunk 2077.

A few days ago we reported on how the upcoming The Witcher 3 DLC, Blood and Wine, will get completely new music, created from scratch. According Przybylowicz, the team is not using any pieces that have been written before, because of a completely new area, new characters, and a new plot. The composer added that due to these new features, the Blood and Wine expansion deserves to have music written from scratch.
Apart from a new completely new music for Blood and Wine, Przybylowicz will also be returning to compose the music for CD Projekt Red’s upcoming action RPG, Cyberpunk 2077. The composer said as much during an interview with Gamepressure (the same interview in which he confirmed the new music for Blood and Wine).
Przybylowicz was asked whether he has been thinking about Cyberpunk 2077 already, after which he responded that his superiors already “force me to do ” so.

“My superiors already force me to do it, because I spend most of my time with Geralt; however, some first attempts with Cyberpunk were already made”.
Cyberpunk 2077 even more ambitious than initially planned

CD Projekt Red has been working on Cyberpunk 2077 for a long time. It’s a completely different reality, set in the future, with corporations and a morally gray world. The release date for the game has already been planned, according CD Projekt Red. It won’t be announced, though, until they are ready to start the game’s marketing campaign.
Cyberpunk 2077 will be far, far bigger than The Witcher 3, and according CD Projekt Red, the game is turning out to be even more ambitious than initially planned.

Cyberpunk 2077 User Interface Assets Surface

Even though Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is still receiving plenty of attention from gamers and developers alike, some are already thinking about CD Projekt RED’s next big release, which is going to be Cyberpunk 2077. What we know about this upcoming game so far is that it’s going to be yet another RPG, this time based on the Cyberpunk series of tabletop role-playing games. The game will allow us to explore a dystopian futuristic world that will showcase a degenerated human society as well as impressive technological advancements. Based on REDengine 3, the same used for The Witcher 3, this game is likely to feature impressive graphics, and even though we don’t know much about its gameplay so far, we have stumbled upon a series of images that represent a potential version of Cyberpunk 2077’s user interface assets.
The images were released by a Reddit member named “TheLastWitcher,” and appear to highlight a dialogue system similar to what we’ve seen in Mass Effect. The images were found in the Witcher 3’s files, and according to the user, they were probably stored there by mistake. It’s worth keeping in mind that these might just be nothing more than placeholders, which means that the final product could very well look completely different.
