Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes – Modders Unlocked The Framerate & Wider Field Of View Settings

“1. Download my EZ tools folder: Click the down arrow at the top of the page.https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Bzt...ew?usp=sharing If you haven’t already.
    2. Go to “/camera fixes/FOV FIX FILES”
    3. Choose an fov that suits you.
    4. Copy its contents over to “”Metal Gear Solid Ground Zeroes\data_02\Assets\tpp\pack\player\parts”” and replace the files.
    6) Repack Data_02. Enjoy FOV!”
Regarding the game’s framerate, Dirty Dan had this to say:
“So i noticed the line of code that changes in the settings file for the frame cap. the top is one set at 60 and the bottom is set at 30
    http://gyazo.com/26be1ec48d581794db5dad4a242bb4f8
HOLY sh*t!!! Deleting that line of code removes the frame cap!!!!
Be sure to make that file read only!”
Last but not least, PC gamers can disable the DoF that was enabled in Extra High settings. While there wasn’t any in-game option for such a thing, thanks to the modding tools players can disable it. All you have to do is follow this guide.
    “After you unpack data_02
    1. Download my EZ tools folder: Click the down arrow at the top of the page.https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Bzt...ew?usp=sharing If you haven’t already.
    2. Go to “/camera fixes/DOF fix files” “PLEASE READ THE READ ME.txt”
    3. Copy and paste this “gr_init_dx11″ to “Metal Gear Solid Ground Zeroes\data_02\Fox\Scripts\Gr” to get rid of DOF on extra high.
    4. Repack Data_02. Enjoy DOF fix!
To return to normal, use the original in the folder above it.”
As a bonus, we added two videos showing Chico, Hideo Kojima and Skull Face replacing Big Boss (and even a video showing every character swapped to Big Boss’ model. Also thumbs up for replacing dogs with Skull Face).

A fan-made mod means Kojima is brought to life in Metal Gear Solid V

Fan-made mods are simply breathtaking in this age of gaming. We've recently seen things such as the Skyrim Enderal mod adding a whole new game within a game, another Skyrim fan-update offering 4K resolution textures, bug fixes and more and various community made Counter-Strike: Global Offensive competitive maps and add-on's. All of these additions are what help keeps a title active, strong and relevant for months, or years, to come.

Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes has been modded into an FPS

You've got to love modders, and the big reason that the #pcmasterrace is the one and only thing that Lord Gaben has praised and touched. These modders have tweaked Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes, turning it into a first-person shooter.

The first-person mod for Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes is an impressive change to the change, and while it's still in its early stages, it's a cool twist to the third-person game that MGS normally is. The mod is available right here, so if you do end up trying it, let us know what you think.

New Metal Gear Solid V Pictures Showing Clean Graphics Released

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is an upcoming open world action game to be released in 2015. The Game is under development by Kojima Productions and will be featuring all platforms including Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and the Xbox One. The game will be a sequel to the previous version and will continue from the events in Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes. The game is also reported to carry the same tagline of Tactical Espionage operations which were first witnessed in Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker. The game is set in the year 1984 where the mercenary leader Venom Snake makes his way into Afghanistan after the Soviet War to take revenge of his forces.

The Game is Coming Out This Year And Kojima Isn’t Afraid to Show Off

Kojima has worked hard on this new version of Metal Gear Solid V: The phantom pain and has assured the followers that the game will not be delayed past the year 2015. But that doesn’t mean that he won’t show off with the game as he posted pictures off his own monitor on his twitter page. The pictures on his twitter page show a cleaned up version of Snake where he’s in a heli by the looks of it and the pictures are probably of the departure from his base. The pictures reveal some really cool tech for the game and also show Snake travelling at night and in day showing a comparison of the different in-game effects added to the upcoming sequel. The asthetics of the game are quite different at changed tiings acroos the game and the game has a fresh and warm look at the same time. The second picture shows a helicopter waiting to be boarded in base whereas the rest are pictures shown from the inside of the helicopter.

“Today was a bloody day too. The shower and bath were refreshing, lol.”
    “Here I go.”
‘At the gym I came up with a good solution. This seems good [waits]”
The above screenshots show quite some amazing graphics and make you want to get your hands on the game as soon as it releases. The game looks clean and attractive and I don’t know about you but for many, me included, the game can’t release soon enough. Let us know what you think about these screenshots in the comments section.

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain – Kojima Tries to Avoid Incoherency

Hideo Kojima, the genius behind the Metal Gear series, is in quite a predicament. He explains that Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, is a true open-world video game, although he is trouble that having too much freedom to tackle your missions, can affect the coherency in some situations. He is currently trying to find ways of alleviating this issue.

This is what Kojima tweeted, and subsequently explained,

    HIDEO_KOJIMA @HIDEO_KOJIMA_EN Follow
We must compensate spontaneous freedom in order to avoid incoherency. What I'm doing right now is to solve such problem.
“MGSV allows you free stealth mission in open world. Not only broad map but also infiltrate routes/transport methods depends on you. We must compensate spontaneous freedom in order to avoid in-coherency. What I’m doing right now is to solve such problem. Let’s say we plan on climbing mountain. We start from preliminary investigation, training, mapping, getting gear, simulating before action. But unexpected happens (different map, bad weather, dead-end road, wrong gear, thin air, someone gets sick) when actually climbed. It is the same as game/movie creation. We encounter many various problems during dev from big to small but it never completes unless solving this problem. No point/choice of return. It’s only how we beat our brains out and aim the top of the target, that’s the best part.”
It is true, that open world games, stray from the strict nature of more linear titles. They provide the player with different ways in which to tackle a mission, or a multiple number of side missions and quests to solve, while pursuing the main goal or quest of the game. Titles like Grand Theft Auto, are an example of that, which even though they provide a main set of missions that lead to the completion of the main game, they at the same time provide multiple side missions that the player can complete at their leisure. Most of the time these missions do not distract or take away from the main.

The recent, highly acclaimed, Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor, is another great example of a similar nature. The player again, has many quests and tasks that are optional, but can add experience and abilities to the player to aid in the main quest and completion of the story. It is again however, up to the player in what ways to tackle these missions and whether on not to pursue them.

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, strays from the linear and guided structure of the series

On the other hand, the Metal Gear series has been, so far, giving the player a purpose, a goal towards which there was a linear structure, guiding the experience. Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, strays from this formula. It brings the Metal Gear franchise into open world territory, and turns it upside down. Thusly, the difficult situation that Mr Kojima is facing. Metal Gear’s nature is a much more serious one than, say, Grand Theft Auto. The player has to follow the game’s missions one after the other, completing them in a timely manner and in certain given ways. Freedom and variety in which to complete them can be offered, but doing so, could potentially affect the impact of the game in some specific situations.
A linear structure, guiding the player towards a goal could prove more effective, but how do you then take advantage of the freedom of the open-world nature? Giving the player the option to choose between which missions to complete first, allows some freedom, but that has already been done, and it could prove not enough for some. Allowing more freedom to complete a mission could potentially distract the player, and the game loses its impact. Regardless, I believe that Hideo Kojima, will find some way, to ensure that Metal Gear V: The Phantom Pain, retains the series’ strict structure and guided nature, while at the same time providing the players with enough freedom to warrant the open-world label.
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain does not have a specific release date yet, but is stated for a 2015 release. It will release for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC platforms. We will bring you any new information on Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, as soon as it becomes available.

Metal Gear Solid V will launch on the 1st of September

The cat is out of the bag, it looks like Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain will be launching on the 1st of September. How do we know? Well a sponsored IGN video for the announcement, which is due to take place tomorrow, just leaked, showing off the world-wide release date.Konami, the publisher for Metal Gear Solid, penned a marketing deal with IGN to help drum up some hype for the game, promising a big announcement tomorrow, at the end of a countdown. However, someone managed to get their hands on IGN’s video a little early. It isn’t up on YouTube but you can currently watch it, HERE- until it gets taken down.

As you can see, the video link goes to an IGN web page so it all seems to check out. In-case the video has already been taken down, it shows MGS creator, Kojima, talking about the game’s development, explaining that it is in the final stages right now and all that is left to do is root out the bugs over the next six months.

Metal Gear Solid V will hit PC after consoles

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is on the way this September. The 1st of September release date was announced today for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and the last generation consoles. The PC platform will be getting the game after, on the 15th of September. The release date actually leaked yesterday but was confirmed by Konami today. Kojima has said that this may be his last Metal Gear Solid game. The game was announced for consoles first, we only found out about the PC version late last year so it isn’t too surprising that the release date for the platform is pushed back a bit.

Aside from the PC and console release dates being announced, a Day One pre-order edition and a collector’s edition were also shown off.
Those who pre-order on console will get a map of the game world, DLC items, an Adam-ska special handgun, a personal ballistic shield, cardboard box, Blue Urban Snake costume and an MGS Online XP boost. The Steam version of the game will include all of this and won’t be limited to those who pre-order.
The collector’s edition costs £99 and contains a bit more, notable inclusions are a half scale replica of Snake’s bionic arm, a behind the scenes documentary blu-ray, a map of the game world and a steelbook case. There is also a long list of DLC items thrown in.
Comparado com o atraso do GTA5, este atraso da versão PC do MGS5 nem é muito.
