EA confirms new Battlefield game for 2016
Noticia:We knew that a new Battlefield game was in development, and after the shockingly bad Battlefield Hardline, EA is hoping to hit a new home run with "another Battlefield title" being released next year.
The news came from EA's recent investors call, where EA CFO Blake Jorgensen said there was a new Battlefield game in development. Jorgensen said: "What we've said is that our intention over the next couple of years is to have a first-person shooter as one of the core titles. This year, obviously, it's Star Wars Battlefront. Next year, it's another Battlefield title".
But which one will it be? Could we see Battlefield: Bad Company 3, or do you want Battlefield 5 more?

Next Battlefield; moving on from Hardline & Battlefront
Star Wars Battlefront released last month for PC, Xbox One and PS4, and its first DLC called ‘The Battle of Jakku’ released some weeks ago. A part of DICE’s team continues to work on new DLC and content for the shooter.
EA’s Battlefield: Hardline was released back in March of this year, following a development period of approx. 3 years.
Delivering an all-new canvas for the best-in-class first person action gameplay the Battlefieldfranchise is known for, Battlefield Hardlinesees Visceral Games bring its critically-acclaimed single player storytelling pedigree to provide an engaging story in a setting reminiscent of modern TV crime dramas. In multiplayer, fans will feel the thrill of the heist or the satisfaction of the ultimate bust with new twists including new modes, weapons, vehicles and gadgets. At the moment of writing, DICE has a lot of job openings in various countries. Whether these vacancies are for DICE’s next entry in the franchise is uncertain, though. On the other hand, DICE Stockholm is looking for a Battlefield product manager to “align a strategic marketing plan for Battlefield products and services, as well as act as a contact point between the development teams and the wider marketing organization”.
“This is an awesome opportunity to take one of gaming’s most exciting franchises in a new direction,” said Steve Papoutsis, Vice President and General Manager of Visceral Games. “The cops and criminals fantasy is a great new backdrop for Battlefield and allows us to introduce an impactful story, while still maintaining that intense multiplayer action that fans expect. Best of all, the beta allows lots of fans to jump in and play immediately.”
Next Battlefield Possibly Developed By DICE LA; Might Well Include Co-Op ModeA part of the Battlefront DICE team has moved on to work on the next Battlefield, and judging from posted job listings at DICE LA, the next Battlefield might well be developed by DICE LA, and possibly includes a co-op mode.
Last week, DICE development director Dan Vaderlind, confirmed that a part of DICE is now moving on to work on a new project – the next Battlefield.

DICE’s Battlefield support studio DICE LA, has been doing an amazing job supporting Battlefield 4, following a troubled launch. In fact, the studio has been doing so great supporting the title, that EA’s Patrick Soderlund stated that the studio will probably build their own game at some point.

Next Battlefield possibly build by DICE LA
“They’ve really not only created good stuff, they have taken over Battlefield 4…and done a great job with BF4 since the launch of it. They’ve built great expansion packs, but more importantly they’ve created an identity for us in LA”, Soderlund told IGN back in October of this year.
EA CEO Andrew Wilson added, “I have no doubt that DICE LA will be building their game at some point, because it’s a really, really passionate group of people.”
Interestingly, DICE LA is now hiring for several positions at the studio, including vacancies for a singleplayer and multiplayer level designer. The studio is also looking for a senior technical animator, a senior lighter, and a senior concept artist. It might well be the case that the next Battlefield is DICE LA’s own title.
In short, DICE LA is looking for various candidates to “push quality to the next level for an unannounced AAA title”. While the listings don’t mention that Battlefield name, the descriptions do match with the Battlefield setting. For instance, the concept artist vacancy mentions various work task examples, including the task to “Create readable designs for environments, characters, props, weapons and vehicles that can be translated into 3D assets”.
The most interesting part of information comes from the vacancy for a multiplayer level designer. Unlike Battlefield 3, DICE decided to remove the co-op mode from Battlefield 4. The current job listing though, might well imply that the mode will make a comeback in the next Battlefield, as the listing mentions that “2+ years of experience in the design of levels within multiplayer or co-op titles”, is required to apply for the job.
Take the above with a grain of salt though, as the lob listings don’t mention the Battlefield franchise in any way.
Next-gen Battlefield, Mass Effect, Titanfall before April 2017Noticia:We know they're coming, but now EA is beginning to tease the next-gen Battlefield, Titanfall and Mass Effect games in a small way.
During EA's Q3 2015 financial results, the company said that Mass Effect: Andromeda, the next Battlefield, and new Titanfall games would be released before EA's next financial year - which kicks off on March 31, 2017. EA said: "Looking ahead to FY2017 ... An all new Battlefield game from DICE will arrive in time for the holidays. We are excited to have a new Titanfall experience coming from our friends at Respawn, and of course Mass Effect: Andromeda from the team at BioWare will launch later in the fiscal year".

Possible Battlefield 5 leak suggests WWI setting
Noticia:With Star Wars: Battlefront now out of the way, DICE is set to return to the Battlefield series this year with a new mainline entry to the series. EA has already confirmed that Battlefield 5 will be coming this year but now it looks like we may have a rough idea of its release date and setting, with a potential leak pointing towards a return to World War I.
This information comes from Swiss online store, World of Games, so it is worth keeping in mind that it may not be entirely accurate. However, according to the site, we can expect Battlefield 5 to arrive on the 26th of October, which is a similar release date to Battlefield 4.
The description for the game paints it as a tactical multiplayer shooter set in WWI. It is common for game publishers to inform retail chains about their future plans for the year and occassionally, that information gets out ahead of time. However, this could very well turn out to be fake.
That said, E3 season isn’t too far off so we should hear more then and get confirmation on what DICE is up to with this year’s Battlefield game.

Ou WWII...
WWI...não estou a ver como ficaria... Andar a saltar de trincheira em trincheira... Veiculos? Triplanos, artilharia puxada a cabalo, e tanques do aço...havia de ser engraçado...

O armamento limitado daquela altura preocupa-me um pouco. Especialmente do lado americano.

Artilharia sempre a cair... Baloes... Lolol
