Tekken 7 – Three New Characters Announced

Bandai Namco revealed three new characters for the latest fighter, Tekken 7. Jin Kazama and Devil Jin will be making a return, and there will be a newcomer named Josie Rizal.

Josie is of Filipino descent, something new for the franchise.
You can view the new characters in the videos below.

Tekken 7 was first announced by Tekken director, Katsuhiro Harada on July 13, 2014 during EVO 2014. He first revealed the trailer, and unveiled a new logo for the series. All started when Harada found out the title was leaked online. The game wasn’t planned to be announced due to the leak, so he had no choice but to announce it. Along with the confirmed development of Tekken X Street Fighter, an extended launch trailer, character design details, and other info regarding the game was revealed at their San Diego Comic-Con fighting panel on July 25th, 2014.

Tekken 7 makes use of the Unreal Engine 4 game engine which will allow the game to be developed for multiple platforms. Bandai Namco was unable to show the gameplay system at the SDCC at the time due to it still being worked for. It was stated by Harada that the arcade release of Tekken 7 would have network features very similar to Tekken Tag Tournament 2.
There are several guest artists who have designed the character designs. Said artists include Mari Shimazaki (Bayonetta), Yusuke Kozaki (Fire Emblem Awakening, No More Heroes), Ninnin (Duel Masters, Cardfight!!, Vanguard) and Kenichiro Yoshimura (Max Anarchy/Anarchy Reigns). Also, Shinji Aramaki is directing the intro for Tekken 7. The game also focus on one-on-one battles again like previous numbered installments, not team-based as in the Tekken Tag Tournament series.
Tekken 7 will be released for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, with a yet unconfirmed rumored PC version. No official date has been revealed but it should be expected soon. We will bring you any new information on Tekken 7, as soon as it becomes available.

Tekken 7: Fated Retribution Might Arrive on the PC Eventually

Even though the developers and publishers of Tekken 7, Bandai Namco, have not issued an official statement regarding the game’s PC port, Katsuhiro Harada has decided to give Tekken fans a bit of hope via a Tweet. The Tekken series director and producer has hinted at a possible PC version of the game almost a year ago, when he said that the company was considering making the port for certain countries. Powered by Unreal Engine 4, Tekken 7: Fated Retribution is currently confirmed for Play Station 4 alone, but given the fact that other fighting games such as Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter have received their own PC versions, it would make sense for Namco’s title to enjoy the same treatment.

    Katsuhiro Harada @Harada_TEKKEN
I'm reading your request already!! RT @fox_watp What can fans do if they want PC release of Tekken 7 FR?

Tekken 7: Fated Retribution actually represents an update to the standard Tekken 7 game, which was designed exclusively for arcades. Sources indicate that the main additions include new costumes, stages, characters and items that make the game more fun and more engaging overall. Out of the handful of really good fighting games, Tekken is definitely one of the most impressive, and I’m sure that most of you would be eager to try it out on your PCs if given the chance. For now, all we can do is wait and hope.

Tekken 7 Akuma Is The Only Planned Guest Character But Team Is Open To Add More

Tekken 7 has debuted in Japanese arcades a few months and it’s getting ready to be released on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One sometime next year. The home console versions of the game will come with some additional features not found in the original arcade release as well as a character that few expected to see in a Tekken game: Akuma from the Street Fighter series. Not much else has been said about guest characters in the past few days but more on the matter has emerged online thanks to a new interview which has been shared online a few hours ago.

In a new interview with PlayStation Lifestyle, Senior Game Designer Michael Murray and Visual Design Manager Kousuke Waki have talked about Akuma’s inclusion in the game. According to Mr. Murray, both he and producer Katsuhiro Harada are against guest characters because they throw off the Tekken world and setting, but Akuma fits the bill so much that the team tied him into the story.
And as far as more charters goes, right now, Akuma is the only one we have planned. Harada [Game Producer Katsuhiro Harada] and I have always been against guest characters because it kinda throws off the Tekken world and setting. But Akuma fits the bill, and we wanted to tie him into the story so that the crossover is not some cheesy gimmick.

Michael Murray has also talked about other guest characters. Akuma is for the moment the only planned guest character but the team is apparently open to the idea of including others in the future.
But no plans at the moment for additional crossovers, though we are open to the possibility in the future.
Tekken 7 is now available in Japanese arcades. The fighting game developed by Bandai Namco will be released on a yet to be confirmed 2016 date on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Tekken 7 Fated Retribution has yet to receive a final release date on consoles, but Japanese players will soon be able to enjoy the arcade version of the game, which will be launched next week. To celebrate the upcoming release of the game, Bandai Namco has shared today a brand new trailer of the game, showcasing some of the features included in the version of Tekken 7.

Last week, Bandai Namco confirmed that the already mentioned Tekken series veteran Nina Williams will be available as playable characters in Tekken 7 Fated Retribution. A new trailer showcasing the character and a few screenshots have also been shared.
The inclusion of Street Fighter’s Akuma is definitely one of the more interesting new features of Tekken 7 Fated Retribution. The character is the only guest character the team has planned for now and he may be the only one to ever be included in Tekken 7 Fated Retribution, as producer Katsuhiro Harada is against them due to a very specific reason.
And as far as more charters goes, right now, Akuma is the only one we have planned. Last week another Tekken 7 Fated Retribution trailer has been shared online. The trailer features plenty of gameplay sequences, showcasing characters like Nina Williams, Akuma from the Street Fighter series and others.
Street Fighter’s Akuma is the only guest character that has been confirmed for Tekken 7 Fated Retribution so far, and it seems like he may be the only one. A couple of months back, it’s been revealed that Tekken series creator Katsuhiro Harada is not fond of guest characters, as they disrupt the Tekken world and setting. Akuma, however, has been tied into the story so that he doesn’t feel like a simple gimmick.
Tekken 7 Fated Retribution will be released in Japanese arcades later this year. The game will also be released on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on a yet to be confirmed 2016 release date. Tekken 7 Fated Retribution New Gameplay Video Showcases Akuma

Tekken 7 Fated Retribution, the new updated version of Tekken 7 launching this year on consoles, is one of the many games that Japanese publishers are showing during JAEPO 2016, a Japanese event dedicated to arcade games. Earlier today new gameplay footage has surfaced online, showcasing one of the new characters included in the game.

The new Tekken 7 Fated Retribution gameplay video showcases a match between Tokido, using Akuma, and Nobi using Dragunov. Akuma looks incredibly powerful, but it’s pretty clear from the match how there’s a way to counter many of his powerful special techniques. You can check out the new gameplay video right below.

Tekken 7 Fated Retribution Might Be A PlayStation 4 Exclusive Release

During last year’s Paris Games Week, Bandai Namco has confirmed that Tekken 7, the latest entry of its popular fighting game series, is going to be released sometime during 2016 on home systems. The fact that the Xbox One system hasn’t been mentioned in the official press seemed to hint that the game will eventually be released exclusively on PlayStation 4, and what a member of the team has recently revealed suggests that this is somewhat likely.

In a new Tekken 7 Fated Retribution showcasing event held during last weekend’s Final Round, Bandai Namco’s Michael Murray has talked about the game, its possible release date, game mechanics and more. While discussing the game, Mr. Murray sounds unsure about platforms, mentioning that they have had some behind the scene talks with Sony, with more to be announced at a later time. He was also not referring to the game’s PlayStation VR exclusive content, which has been revealed a while back, so it’s definitely something entirely new. Ultimately, it will be up to management if the game will also be released on Xbox One, as the team would love to have the game on Microsoft’s console. You can hear more about the matter by going at around the 18:20 mark of the video below.

Tekken 7 Fated Retribution has received more gameplay footage a few weeks ago, showcasing the Street Fighter series guest character Akuma. The character is the only guest character the team has currently planned, as series creator Katsuhiro Harada doesn’t like that much due to the fact that they disrupt the Tekken’s world balance. Akuma, however, fitted right in, so the team was happy about his inclusion.

Tekken 7 Fated Retribution will be released on a yet to be confirmed release date on home systems. We will let you know about the PlayStation 4 exclusivity as soon as more comes in on it so stay tuned for all the latest news.

Tekken 7 Could be Coming to PC

Games come with a choice, what platform do you get them on? With big releases coming out on several platforms at once, and some containing “exclusive” content, you are often required to choose the platform you see as the best for the game. With the revelation that Mortal Kombat XL won’t be coming to PC, the PC lacks a fighting game series with a history. Something Bandai Namco could solve with the rumours that Tekken 7 could be coming to PC.
All the way back in December, Katsuhiro Harada hinted at the possibility of a PC release for the Unreal Engine 4 game. Originally built for PC the Unreal engine has powered games over the years, from the Gears of War series to Batman Arkham City, meaning that a PC release for any games built using it should be easier than porting across a game that was specifically designed for consoles.
The latest fuel on the fire is a survey, that you can currently find here, that asks you quite simply do you want to see Tekken 7 on PC. We don’t know if there is a threshold that must be reached before Bandai Namco consider releasing Tekken 7 on PC but quite a few people will be interested in the concept. If you are one of them then sign away and hopefully we can make this happen.

Não sei se vai ter muito sucesso no PC, mas é bom ver que deixa de ser um jogo apenas para a consola da Sony.

Last month, some interesting new details on the home console and PC release of Tekken 7 Fated Retribution have surfaced online. According to what Bandai Namco’s Michael Murray stated during a Final Round 19 Tekken 7 Fated Retribution showcase, the team would love to release Tekken 7 Fated Retribution on Xbox One, but it will be up to management if the game will be released on platforms other than PlayStation 4. A few days later, Mr. Murray further elaborated on his previous statements, saying on Twitter that Tekken 7 Fated Retribution will include exclusive PSVR content, and that release on other platforms is still to be disclosed.
Plenty of Tekken 7 Fated Retribution gameplay footage has surfaced online in the past few weeks. One of the latest videos showcases guest character Akuma from the Street Fighter series, who is currently the only planned guest character of the game.
Tekken 7 Fated Retribution will be released on a yet to be confirmed release date on home systems. We will let you know more about the game’s release on other platforms as soon as more comes in on the matter, so stay tuned for all the latest news.
