    Red Dead Redemption 2

Take-Two Hints at Red Dead Redemption 2 – Expect “Exciting” New Games From Popular Franchises

After a month or so of dead air, rumors and talks concerning the next installment in Rockstar’s hit and most critically acclaimed open world, western action-adventure video game series have been set alight once again by the publisher Take-Two Interactive’s new announcement. Giving a glimpse on what the company is planning for next fiscal year, Take-Two Interactive, besides confirming a next-gen exclusive Borderlands game, revealed that there are numerous “exciting” titles from other popular franchises in development, and it is suspected that one of them might be Red Dead Redemption 2.

Red Dead Redemption 2 Possibly One of the Exciting, Yet to be Announced Video Games from Popular Franchises – Next-Gen Borderlands Confirmed

Rumors regarding Red Dead Redemption 2 run months back, and the interesting thing is that instead of ruling them out as fake, Take-Two Interactive has always itself supported the debates on the topic by hinting towards the existence of the game. It was previously rumored that the next title in the Red Dead series would be a sequel to the blockbuster Red Dead Redemption with co-op mode in the focal point, and now, the developer has rolled out a statement which yet again seems to be hinting that Rockstar is currently working on the supposed sequel.
Recently, Take-Two Interactive held its financial conference call for the fiscal quarter which concluded on December 31. Beside numbers and figures, the publisher provided a glimpse at what players can expect for the next fiscal year, and beyond. The publisher confirmed that NBA and WWE 2K will get their annual releases, and that 2K Games and Gearbox software are working on a brand new Borderlands game that is mainly aimed at the next-gen consoles. With all that, players can also expect “exciting” new unannounced games from other popular franchises.

“Users can expect new annual releases from our NBA and WWE 2K series, as well as exciting, yet to be announced titles from other popular franchises.
Looking further ahead, we have a robust pipeline of titles in development, including ground breaking new intellectual properties, and new releases from our proven franchises. For example, we can confirm that 2K and Gearbox software will develop an all new Borderlands game built specifically for next-gen consoles.
In addition, we have numerous unannounced titles in development, as well as innovative offerings designed to maximize player engagement and drive recurring consumer spending.
We have more to announce about our future line-up in the coming months.”
Of course, it is very much possible that one of those unannounced games is the most desired Red Dead Redemption 2. Unfortunately, Take-Two Interactive did not comment on whether Rockstar will be producing any title for holiday Season 2015, or when will the new Borderlands released. The only thing we can do now, as usual, is wait and see what Rockstar is planning to do this year.

Joguei o primeiro na Xbox 360 e adorei o jogo. Pena que nunca tenha chegado ao PC, onde podia mostrar todo o seu potencial.

Red Dead Redemption 2 Details Leak From Disgruntled Former Rockstar Employee

While this is an old Reddit thread, it checks out. A disgruntled former employee with Rockstar took to Reddit to leak some details about the upcoming Red Redemption 2 two months ago. While not necessarily too revealing, they provide great insight into what to expect.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is chronologically before the original, with three playable characters and the ability to choose the breed of your horse.

This disgruntled employee was highly dissatisfied with his boss at Rockstar, so wanted to leak information as a way to reclaim their humanity. Not necessarily the smartest move on her/his part, but we the gamers benefit from this great pouring forth of information.
My boss was a major D*** so this is why I am leaking info on the up coming Red Dead Redemption prequel.
    – Anonymous former Rockstar employee
The title is supposedly set to be Red Dead Redemption 2: Legends of the West, and will be set 12 years before the original and in the same area. The three characters consist of Irish, Seth and a character of your own creation. That third character was described as being akin to the multiplayer character you make in GTA V. They won’t be playable during story missions, but they can assist during most of the game.

    Advertisements

Interestingly, Red Dead Redemption 2 is going to follow other precedents set by GTA V as well. You’ll be able to eventually buy a safe-house of your own and customize your clothes, and horse, beyond what was available in the first installment. Apparently saddle choice will have an effect on your characters stats too.
The enterprising anonymous former employee also shed light into a Gang System, where you can join different gangs throughout the region or even help out law enforcement in different towns should you want to have a more positive effect on the environment. In that gang system is the ability to play with a posse, or 4-8 friends, in a co-op mode to conduct missions.
The premise and overall mechanics, if these details are correct, are taking on a very GTA like approach. The entire game is shaping up to be GTA in the wild west, again, with all the elements that have been upgraded in GTA V.
But, of course, these are just leaks from an anonymous source that may or may not be telling the truth. So please be sure to have a saline drip before considering these details are necessarily real. Nonetheless, it would make sense to follow on the successful model of GTA V, making Red Dead Redemption 2 a unique yet familiar game.
Details are supposed to emerge during E3 this year, so perhaps some of this information will be confirmed, or debunked.

[Updated] Red Dead Redemption 2 To Be Unveiled At E3 – Will Come to PS4, Xbox One and PC, Details Leaked

[Update] E3 2015 has come and went with no announcement from Rockstar regarding Red Dead Redemption 2. With Gamescom just around the corner many developers saved some of their biggest announcements for that. Xbox boss Phil Spencer reported that they have as many big games for Gamescom as they had for E3. EA could have saved Visceral’s Star Wars title for August’s huge gaming event. While there is no guarantee that Red Dead could be announced at the show, it is a possibility.

Gamescom 2015 will be held in Cologne, Germany between August 5-9 2015.

Reddit’s member ‘AnonDN1978‘, who claims to be a former Rockstar developer, has leaked information regarding the rumored Read Dead Redemption title, that is said to have been in development at Rockstar for some time.

AnonDN1978 claims that the new iteration in the Red Dead Redemption franchise, will be called Red Dead Redemption 2: Legends of the West, and it will be a prequel to Red Dead Redemption. It will be coming to current-gen consoles, with a PC release to follow one month after the console release.
The game is said to take place in the same area as the first game, will have three playable characters, two of which are from the original game, and one completely new.
“The two “main” characters are Irish and Seth. Irish will be brought up in Ireland and will move to the Americas when he is fifteen and moves to the game setting when he turns twenty one. Seth is from Kansas City and works as a teller in a bank. He then hears of a treasure and uses his life savings to bring his family to Texas in the town of Tumbleweed. Throughout the story we experience him unraveling to his state of mind in the original game, losing his wife, children, home, and possessions to his treasure.
The third person is a character you create similar to multiplayer in GTA V. You choose his clothes and horse. Although you can unlock outfits for Seth and Irish, the third person (Who you name) can acquire all different kinds of Western tops, bottoms, boots, gloves, and hats.
Horses will also bring completely new customization to the game. You can choose there type/breed like the last game, but now you can also choose what saddle they have (with their own boosts and stats), storage, and paint.
You can also buy your own safe house and customize it.
Also, all of this carries over into multiplayer.
There will be many new and more thought out stranger missions as well as roughly thirty campaign missions for both Seth and Irish. The third character can be involved in the campaign, but can not be used in missions. He will appear as a “gun for hire” and works with Seth and Irish, tying the stories together.

“You” (the third character) will be in free roam, but Irish and Seth can be called in as companions (but not be played as), as well as other people. You will meet many of the characters from the original game including young Bonny Macfarlane, Sherriff, and even John Marston, but he will still be in his gang.
A big new part of the RDR prequel is the new gang system. You can join several different gangs, or if you think you are up for it you can join the law enforcement of certain towns, but this will restrict you on things you can do like robbing. Although you can rob it might cost you your hard earned career and possibly your life. You can also bring in a posse (up to 4-8 friends) to single player, technically co op now. You can take on certain side missions and a few campaign missions with your posse.”

AnonDN1978, also claims that Bully 2 is also rumored to be under development, but no information was available on the title.
RDR 2 is said to have been in development for the last three and a half years, although Rockstar has not confirmed whether this is true.
This is a rumor so take it with the usual grain of salt. Regardless we will bring you any news regarding the new Red Dead Redemption title, as well as any other new projects from Rockstar as soon as it becomes available. E3 2015 will be held between June 16-18, 2015 at the Los Angeles Convention Center. You can check out our GTA V PC coverage for more Rockstar goodness, here and here.

Rockstar Could be Taking Us Back to the Wild West with an Announcement of Red Dead Redemption 2 Next Month

Millions of gamers have been longing for a follow-up to the hugely successful Red Dead Redemption, for years. Understandably so, as the title remains one of the most extraordinary adventures to ever grace the world of videogames, with an unrivaled setting, an engrossing storyline, great freedom and gameplay, and memorable characters.

Rumors of an imminent Red Dead Redemption 2 announcement have been circulating for some time

Rumors have been circulating about an imminent reveal, and many were certain that an announcement was coming at E3 2015, but unfortunately the announcement did not come. With Gamescom just around the corner, Rockstar could finally grant us our wish, and take us back to the world of Red Dead with an announcement and hopefully a big reveal of what we can expect with the next iteration of the franchise.
Xbox boss, Phil Spencer, has expressed that he is really excited about the huge upcoming gaming event, and reported that Xbox’s presence at the show will be as equally important as their E3 2015 showing and that there will be as many new announcements as last month.

With Sony being completely absent from Gamescom, opting to be present at Paris Games Week instead, all eyes should be focused on Microsoft. Crackdown, Scalebound and Quantum Break have already been confirmed to be making an appearance, and an announcement of Red Dead Redemption 2 could be the crowning moment for the house of Xbox.

While a timed exclusivity would be almost entirely out of the realm of possibility, a special partnership, involving some sort of content availability, could have been made. Regardless, all we can wish for is the long time coming reveal of the new title, and whether it may be a sequel, a prequel or even something entirely new, we could finally be granted a tease, giving us a glimpse of what we can expect. Gamescom will be held in Cologne, Germany, between August 5-9 2015. Fingers crossed Red Dead Redemption 2 will be present.

Rumor: Red Dead Redemption 2 details leaked, coming in 2017

Sources say that Red Dead Redemption 2 has not only been in development for the past four years, but the highly-anticipated sequel is slated to release as soon as next year. This year's E3 will be rather exciting, eh?

Gaming outlet Fraghero supposedly was given confirmation from an anonymous source via email, who outright said that Red Dead Redemption 2: Legends of the West (yes, that's apparently the sequel's name) is in development. The tipster says that Rockstar Games will reveal the sequel at E3 2016, and the game will feature "more than one playable character" and a "much bigger open world" to explore.

Although the source claims to have received this info from an ex-Rockstar dev, be sure to take this with a big tin of Morton's salt. At the same time, though, Take-Two boss Strauss Zelnick has said that the Red Dead Redemption is a "permanent franchise" of the publisher, and a four-year dev window fits into his plan not to oversaturate the games market.

In any case, E3 2016 rolls around in June and Take-Two Interactive will be in attendance. We'll be at the show floor to soak up all the details, and we'll be the first to let you know if Red Dead Redemption 2 is confirmed or not.

Red Dead Redemption 2 to be Announced at E3?

According to rumour, Rockstar is set to reveal its sequel to Wild West open world shooter Red Dead Redemption at E3 this Summer. I know, we’ve been here before: the very same report emerged around the same time last year, and nothing happened. But, according to a Fraghero source, Red Dead Redemption 2 has been in secret production for years and is due for release in 2017.
“Fraghero received an email from a reader who wishes to remain anonymous claiming that the game has been in development for over 4 years and is in fact called Red Dead Redemption 2: Legends Of The West,” the post reads. “He also claimed that the game will be coming out in the fall of 2017 and Rockstar Games is going to announce it during E3 (which takes place in June) this year. He informed us that the game is going to contain more than one playable character and feature a much bigger open world than the last Red Dead title.”
We do know that Rockstar intends to produce a sequel to the critically-acclaimed game at some point, with Strauss Zelnick, CEO of Take-Two, revealing last year:
“I pretty much know the ones that I can assure you are permanent. It’s obvious that GTA is a permanent franchise as long as we keep delivering this incredible quality; it seems quite obvious that Red Dead is a permanent franchise, again with the same caveat, or Borderlands, for example, and NBA and others.”
This latest rumour, unverified as it is, could well be a fabrication, but that doesn’t mean RDR2 won’t be revealed at E3. Even a stopped clock is right twice a day.
