    StarCraft: 2 [PC]

Este "Heart of the Swarm" pega onde o Wings of Liberty ficou e mostra-nos a história do lado dos Zerg!

E vocês gostam do Starcraft II?

    Cumprimentos,

    LPC

Blizzard Reveals New StarCraft II Expansion

In addition to revealing its new team-based first person shooter, Overwatch, Activision Blizzard also unveiled the third installment in the StarCraft II series, Legacy of the Void, on Friday during BlizzCon 2014. Unfortunately, the company did not reveal when this expansion is expected to ship.
According to Blizzard, the new expansion's story picks up where Heart of the Swarm ended, bringing the overall StarCraft II story to its conclusion. The story began back in July 2010 with the launch of StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty, and fans no doubt are eager to find out what happens in this final chapter.
"Protoss legends Artanis and Zeratul attempt to unite their race in an intergalactic fight for survival against an ancient evil from the Void that threatens the universe," Blizzard explains. "The fates of Terran hero Jim Raynor and Kerrigan, the Queen of Blades, also hang in the balance."

StarCraft Subject to Further Allegations of Match-Fixing and Illegal Betting

Three weeks ago, Pinnacle sports, a betting website, voided all bets on a StarCraft II proleague match after noticing suspicious betting patterns that suggested foreknowledge of the match outcome. Now, Olivia Wong, assistant manager of Axiom eSports, has complained on Twitter that match-fixing is rife within the Korean StarCraft community.

    Olivia Wong @olimoley Follow
I enjoy my job/SC2, but this gaming community is worse than CS:GO's match fixing. The Korean scene is being funded by illegal betters.

Axiom eSports is the StarCraft team owned by John Bain, aka game critic TotalBiscuit. Bain released a statement, supporting Wong’s complaints, and elucidating further on the endemic match-fixing culture within the game:
A lot of these smaller tournaments online are getting mysterious sponsors from Korea. They almost never list a company or product that’s sponsoring the event, but they have prizepools of $1-2k that come from a mysterious benefactor. More often than not these are Korean betters and they give the money in return to access to the game. These events often require that an “admin” will be in the game. That admin is either a better himself or is feeding information to a selection of betters, bypassing the stream delay. How deep this goes remains to be seen. It’s entirely feasible that these people are also approaching players to fix matches.
Tournament organiser SC2Improve.net has announced that it has severed all ties with its sponsor, confirming that the deal appeared suspicious in the wake of these allegations:
The set-up is very similar to what others have described for the illegal betting. He asked to observe in-game, which is something I knew they previously did for the Connecting Slovenia tournaments, and asked for a five minute delay to be set (which is less than what other tournaments have been running on, apparently.) Personally I found both requests fairly reasonable, though I didn’t really know why they wanted to be in the game I assumed they just wanted to be around should something happen or perhaps they were collecting the replays. The delay I found to be perfectly reasonable as well. Usually I run SC2ITL broadcasts with a 2-3 minute delay, but a 5 minute delay for a larger tournament with a higher prize pool at stake seemed fair.
No professional StarCraft players have yet been implicated in match-fixing or suspicious betting, but the Korean eSports Association (KeSPA) has announced (thanks to a translation by Team Liquid) that it will be vetting all future online tournaments before approving them.

Starcraft 2 Legacy of The Void Beta might be coming in March

Blizzard has asked outlets to issue requests for Starcraft 2 Legacy of the Void beta keys, which usually means that the beta will launch in roughly a months time. Most of the time Blizzard is mentioned in the news nowadays it’s generally about Hearthstone or Heroes of The Storm. But once upon a time, Eons ago, they were actually most known for their Warcraft and Starcraft series. Some of us older fans have been patiently waiting since forever for the conclusion of the Starcraft Trilogy -Legacy of The Void.

Starcraft 2 Legacy of The Void beta at the end of March would be perfect for The Esports Community

If the beta arrives at the end of March or early April that would fit quite well for when WCS Season 1 ends, and seeing as the last Starcraft beta (Heart of The Swarm) was sent out to the more prominent Esports players first and later on to media outlets and regular players, this seems to line up quite well. Essentially what has happened today is that Blizzard has asked a few outlets to put in their requests for Legacy of The Void beta keys, and this in turn points to the beta kicking of in roughly a months time, as it has been the last couple of times. Over at the The Daily Dot one inside source told them that last time a request was issued for a Blizzard title “the keys arrived about three weeks later.” Another source this time from an Esports outlet told them the following:
“Blizzard will be aiming for an end of March or early April release. It’s great timing for them. WCS Season 1 will be all but over and this will give players plenty of time to stream the beta and generate some excitement. As things stand the beta is pretty much ready to launch with the balance team just tweaking a few units.”
So all in all end of March or early April, seems to make sense. But as I said one would wager that they would roll out the beta as they have done previously, by handing the Starcraft 2 pros access first, since they can give them the most feedback from a competitive standpoint.

I’m looking forward to Legacy of The Void, and finally getting a conclusion on the Starcraft Saga, oh and it’s fun to get your ass kicked in multiplayer sometimes as well!
