    Apple to kill iPad mini

    Not a moment too soon

Apple has decided that its iPad mini is not worth making any more and is about to discontinue the line.

Apple supply chain makers have not received any new orders for the fourth generation iPad Mini models, possibly hinting at the end of the road for the model.
The tame Apple Press, which cannot use the word "product failure" in a sentence about Apple instead claimed that the reason for the products demise was because Apple was going to bring out a super, cool, 12 inch iPad Plus next year. This of course makes absolute sense, as the two products have absolutely nothing to do with each other.
Apparently what adds credibility to the reports is the fact that Apple did not introduce any significant change in the iPad Mini 3 last year expect for adding the Touch ID fingerprint scanner. The internals of the iPad Mini 3 were left pretty much unchanged over the iPad Mini 2.
Of course if that logic was applied Apple would discontinue all its mobile products as it has not really changed them since it invented the rounded rectangle
However, it is a sign that the fad for tablets has worn off and the so call game changing technology touted by Jobs and the Tame Apple Press is going the way of the hula-hoop and the ipod.
The Tame Apple press denies all this of course and says it is all because the super cool iPhone 6 Plus phablet has eaten into the iPad Mini sales. The fact that the tablet never had a killer app and was to technology what pot noodle was to food had nothing to do with it.

iPad mini 4 To Come With 802.11ac Wi-Fi And A8 Processor Soon – Rumors

In the prior months, the iPad mini 3 was launched which had nothing to shine about except the Touch ID. Many reviewers have called it Apple’s rip-off since it did not had any ice-breaking changes from its predecessor. Speaking of changes, rumors has it that Apple may introduce a new iPad mini 4 which will include the speedy A8 processor and Wi-Fi network 802.11ac. Both of these features are present in the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus.

This rumor comes from Macotakara on Friday which also said that the rumor might not be certain and there may not be any authenticity. Macotakara also lead the Japanese blog and convinced that the information may not be 100 percent accurate.
Apple iPad Mini Forth-Gen To Come With A8X Processor

Moving on to the topic, if these two specification make it to iPad’s fourth generation then there might be processor and network similarities between iPad and iPhone. However, this specific model still does not have any chance against the superior iPad Air 2 which has 4 times the more CPU power with the help of the A8X processor and almost 2.5 times more the graphic power under hood compared to A7 chip.

iPad mini 3 has been a bad luck for Apple since it did not had any specification or design novelty as compared to the previous model. On its big event launch in October 2014, it literally got 30 seconds of stage on time. The only addition to the iPad mini 3 was the Touch ID fingerprint scanner and one extra Gold color option, the remaining spec sheet remained the same which included an A7 chip processor, same as the iPad mini 2 version which lowered the gap of innovation and differences between the two models. The idea to upgrade the iPad mini series was so not Apple-like.

Talking about the price differences between the two variants, the iPad mini 3 costs $399 while its predecessor has faced a $100 price reduction, costing it $299 now. This states that with no other changes the premium Touch ID will cost you a $100. However, there has not been a single report or rumor for when the forth generation iPad min will showcase. Since the coming Monday, the ‘Spring Forward‘ event will have a deep focus for just the Apple Watch but lets wait and watch. That’s all for now folks, tell us how you feel about the iPad mini 3 and it’s evolution from the previous version.

All Hope Isn’t Lost One The iPad Mini – Fresh Cases For Mini 4 Leak

Just a while back, Apple discontinued the first iPad from its online store, which officially marked the end of one of Cupertino’s older tablets. With market trend pointing towards larger screened devices, Apple’s also rumored to have a larger screened, 12 inch iPad in the works which should cater towards more professional needs, with an alleged stylus also in the works. But even though the iPad mini is gone from Apple’s website, looks like Apple is not looking towards completely abandoning the lineup.

Alleged Cases For Apple’s iPad Mini 4 Leak Showing Little To No Changes

Onleaks is back again, and this time he’s claiming to have gotten hold of some case pictures of Apple’s iPad Mini 4. As is the norm of things, case manufacturers are a step ahead of the rest when it comes to their products. Cases for upcoming devices are generally manufactured beforehand by manufacturers. Sadly though, today’s images don’t provide us with any new details when it comes to Apple’s alleged new tablet.

One of the main questions that surrounds an expected iPad mini upgrade for this year is will Apple finally choose to equip its smaller line of tablets with biometric recognition as well? Last year saw several upgrades to the iPad and we should be expecting a similar approach this time as well, if Apple wishes to turn its fortunes around when it comes to tablets. So take a look at the images above and let us know what you think in the comments section on what should be expected from Apple this year. We’ll wait for more word on the iPad Pro in the meanwhile, since the device is said to be quite a package indeed, with stereo speakers and several new options. This, coupled with the recent iOS 9 announcements with respect to the iPad signal for some interesting times ahead indeed. Stay tuned. We’ll keep you updated. Cheers.

Boas, não seria boa ideia o título ser "iPad mini 4" em vez de só iPad mini? Facilitava chegar cá mais rapidamente .

You’ll Be Getting An iPad Mini 4 This Year Vastly Similar To The iPad Air 2

The iPad Air 2 breathed some fresh air into Apple’s declining tablet portfolio. iPad sales, and the tablet market in general have been facing declining market demand, but this hasn’t stopped manufacturers from launching new devices, hoping to capture whatever consumer interest still remains. Samsung has just launched the Galaxy Tab S2, and rumors surrounding Apple’s larger 12 inch iPad Pro still remain consistent. However, some information has surfaced today about the iPad Mini 4, and it appears to be quite good.

Apple’s iPad Mini 4 Claimed To Be Visually Similar To The iPad Air 2

With the launch of the iPad Air 2, Apple managed to take things to an entirely new level. Cupertino’s latest tablet was a mere 6.1mm thin, and featured a much needed Touch ID upgrade. On the processor side of things, Apple introduced its own, one of a kind, tri-core A8X, which was somewhat of a direct response to Nvidia’s Tegra K1 on the Nexus 9.

But that was last year, and since then Nvidia’s launched the Tegra X1. While no devices featuring it are yet available, Apple’s got a launch period to cater to, and looks like the Cupertino manufacturer is building up on the successes of the iPad Air 2. According to the Japanese, not only will the upgraded iPad Mini be coming this fall, but it’ll also be vastly similar to the iPad Air 2 launched last year.
It’ll come with a thickness of 6.1mm and other dimensions will resemble the iPad Mini 3. The iPad Air 3, on the other hand might be delayed, with the larger, 12 inch iPad Pro replacing it this September. Since Apple’s iPhone upgrade, and most importantly its processor upgrade is also pending, this makes us wonder that what will the manufacturer end up doing with the processor side of things on the iPad Air 3? Will its be sticking to the A9 or will it follow a similar formula as the iPad Air 2?
Our bet is on the latter and whatever the case may be, Apple fans have a good month coming up. Not only will the iPhone 6S Duo be with you soon, but the much rumored about iPad Pro might just also be coming. Stay tuned, we’ll keep you updated and let us know what you think in the comments section below.

The iPad Mini 4 Will Be 6 mm Thin – Detailed Renders Leak Today

Apple’s got a big month coming up. The Cupertino manufacturer is all set to launch the iPhone 6S Duo this September, and even before the devices are launched, it’ll have staunch competition from Samsung and others in the form of the Korean manufacturer’s Galaxy S6 Edge Plus and the Galaxy Note 5 launch coming next week. But Apple makes a whole lot of products other than the iPhone, even though it might contribute in a major way to the company’s overall revenues. We’ve been seeing information pop up about the iPad Mini 4 in bits and pieces and today there are more details available about the next generation in the iPad Mini lineup.

Latest iPad Mini 4 Render Leak Showcases Device From Every Angle

When it comes to Apple leaks, few have as much frequency as the French Onleaks. He’s back today, this time with the iPad Mini 4, and courtesy of the video above you can take a look at Apple’s tablet in detail. In the render video, Onleaks showcases several iPad Mini 4 features, which show a sleep/wake button and a headphone jack on the top of the device.

These are followed by a single line speaker grille on the device’s bottom in the middle of which the USB port for the iPad Mini 4 comfortably rests. On the right side of the device you get the volume up/down button and the SIM card slot. But what we’re more interested in today is the dimensions that Onleaks shows in his video. According to the leaker, the next iPad Mini will be 6.13 mm in thickness, which will be more than a millimeter of decrease on the current iPad Mini 3, which stands at 7.15 mm. It’ll also be 134.75 mm wide and 203.16 mm tall, marking very small changes from the current iPad Mini’s dimensions, which stand at 200 x 134.7 mm.
This also means that there won’t be a screen size change on the device either. But we’re hopeful with the reduction in thickness, which is most likely due to processor and other hardware advancements. More should surface on the device in the coming months. Stay tuned, we’ll keep you updated and let us know what you think in the comments section below.

iPad mini 4 Will Be Faster, Will Support iOS 9 Split View Multitasking

According to files discovered within OS X 10.11 El Capitan beta, the iPad mini 4 is likely to support iOS 9’s Split View multitasking feature, something that is exclusive to the iPad Air 2, while further suggesting that the device could be much faster than its predecessors.

Discovered by 9to5Mac, El Capitan’s developer tools in Safari 9 has an option to allow devs to test out responsive sites in Split View on an iPad mini, further suggesting that the next iPad mini will indeed be a ‘substantial’ upgrade over the current iPad mini 3. While the source doesn’t name the iPad mini 4 directly, but it’s a sure shot deal that the upcoming smaller tablet from Cupertino will boast these features.

Though the iPad mini’s screen real-estate is rather small when it comes to running apps side-by-side, but it’s a clear indication that the Cupertino giant wants to bring the feature to its smaller lineup of devices, likely to increase the appeal of the tablet in front of the consumer. While we’re not sure how the Split View experience would be on a smaller display, nonetheless, the thought of it is increasing.
Currently, like we mentioned before, iOS 9 Split View feature is exclusive to the iPad Air 2, and further hints at the fact that Apple is indeed working on a larger, 12-inch iPad Pro as well. Meanwhile, the tablet market has taken a dip for the Cupertino company, with sales tanking each quarter compared to the previous one. But with the announcement of several multitasking features in iOS 9 for iPad, it’s a clear sign that Apple is not giving up just yet and wants to pump a new lease of life into its tablet lineup of devices.
The iPad mini 4 is rumored to be as thin as the iPad Air 2 when it’s released later this year, with a recent leak confirming that notion, while also suggesting that the device would be just 6mm in depth, making it the thinnest iPad mini to come out of the Cupertino gates.
We’ve been hearing rumors regarding Apple pulling the plug on the iPad mini altogether, with the company putting all its cards on the larger 9.7-inch iPad and of course, the 12-inch iPad Pro, but if today’s leak is anything to go by, then it’s evidence enough for us to believe that Cupertino is not resting easy and wants to push its smaller tablet further to the masses.
It’s likely that the iPad mini 4 will be announced in a separate event after the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus handsets have been announced, and whenever that happens, we’ll have it covered right here.

An iPad Mini 4 Likely This Year With Apple Skipping On The iPad Air 3

Apple’s launch of the iPad Air 2 last year was one of its more impressive product revamps in the past couple of years. For a tablet lineup that seemed to be facing declining sales, Apple revamped the iPad Air 2 not only with improved aesthetics but also an improved A8X processor, that managed to outperform nearly every other in the tablet market. But looks like Apple’s done with the iPad Air 2 for now and is looking to make similar changes to the iPad Mini 4 this year according to a latest report that has surfaced today.

Latest Reports Claim No iPad Air Upgrade This Year From Apple

Things have been tough for the tablet market and Apple in general. Tablets have reportedly been seeing lesser demand and enthusiasm from customers and this has already started to impact Apple’s suppliers as well. Today, according to Chinese publication DigiTimes, Apple’s tablet suppliers have started to look at other customers since the Cupertino firm has decided to tone it down when it comes to tablets.

However, before you rule out any iPad upgrades at all due to this, according to the Chinese, Apple’s also busy with the iPad Mini 4 and its supply chain is busy manufacturing and providing components for Cupertino’s latest compact tablet. We’ve been hearing quite a bit about the iPad Mini 4 over the past couple of days. Apple’s tablet is expected to feature more upgrades than last year’s Mini 3 did, with a fingerprint sensor and the iPad Air 2’s A8X SoC rumored to make in on board the iPad Mini 4.
The iPad Mini 4 is also expected to see a significant thickness decrease which will add more to its overall design and if Apple really does launch the next iPad Mini with the A8X, then we should see some amazing performance results as well. But all of this leaves the future of the iPad Air in the balance, as an A8X on a smaller tablet will surely do no good for its larger brother. Perhaps Apple’s looking to differentiate its larger tablets more through multitasking? We’ll find out for sure. Stay tuned and let us know what you think in the comments section below.

Apple iPad Mini 4 Specifications, Features, Price, And More

Apple’s event this year was undoubtedly one the most gadget-packed event from the company that we’ve seen in quite a while. We’ve seen gadgets ranging from the iPhone 6s, the iPhone 6s Plus, an all new Apple TV, the iPad Pro, and finally the much needed iPad mini upgrade, in the form of the iPad mini 4. Last year, the iPad mini 3 saw a rather complimentary upgrade from Apple, with the main focus of its event on the iPad Air 2. Well, things have changed this year and now we get a much improved slate. Take a look below for all the details.

Apple Takes The iPad Air 2 And Repackages It Into A Mini Body

So what’s the latest iPad mini 4 from Apple all about? Well, for starters, it comes with the Apple A8X, the same tri-core Cyclone CPU that made waves with the iPad Air 2 last year. The A8X is capable of achieving frequencies up to 1.5 GHz for each core and comes with 3 billion transistors. It also comes with an eight cluster GPU, which adds two more to the six found on the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus’ A8. It’s a custom GPU from Apple, and we’re eager to see if the company has made further changes under the hood on the iPad mini 4’s A8X.
On the camera side of things, the iPad mini 4 sees camera resolutions of 8 and 1.2 for the rear and front cameras, respectively. The iPad mini 4 will also be able to record videos at 1080p at 30fps, 720p at 120fps HDR and stereo sound, marking a much needed multimedia upgrade for the device. On the software side of things, the iPad mini 4 will ship with iOS 9 on board, so you can be rest assured to be up to date when it comes to the software side of the fence.

The iPad mini 4 comes with a starting price tag of $339, as the iPad mini 2 sees its price slashed to $269. In Apple’s own words, the device is essentially an iPad Air 2 in a smaller shell, so we’d be interested to see what the company does to upgrade the iPad Air lineup.
The new iPad mini 4 will be available in November alongside the new 12.9-inch iPad Pro which the Apple has introduced with an Apple Pencil. If you’ve been looking for a smaller slate with a ton of punch, then Apple has answered your prayers in the form of the iPad mini 4.
Interested in the iPad mini 4? Could Apple do more? Let us know what you think in the comments section below and stay tuned for the latest.
