    Sony Xperia Z4 Tablet

Sony confirms Xperia Z4 Tablet with 2K display, more at MWC 2015

Ahead of Mobile World Congress 2015 that kicks off next week, Sony has outed its Xperia Z4 Tablet. Sony announced the news on its official Xperia Lounge application, but as you probably expected, the company was quick to pull it.

A screenshot of the post was taken, where it confirms that the Xperia Z4 Tablet will feature a 2K display, "the latest ultra fast processor" and "industry leading battery performance". The design of the Xperia Z4 Tablet looks like it is taking cues from the Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact, but it will pack a 10-inch 2K display.

MWC 2015 starts next week, where we're sure we'll hear all about Sony's new Xperia Z4 Tablet.

Sony announces its Xperia Z4 Tablet, featuring a 10.1-inch 2K display

MWC 2015 - We knew it was coming, but Sony has made the Xperia Z4 Tablet official at MWC 2015 in Barcelona, Spain. The new Xperia Z4 Tablet is one of the most powerful slates on the market, and some.

We have a 10.1-inch 2K display (2560x1600) giving us a pixel density of 299PPI, but inside we find the Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor (an 8-core 64-bit CPU) at 2GHz. There's 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage which is expandable through microSD right up to 128GB. Sony will be offering the new Xperia Z4 Tablet as a Wi-Fi only tablet, as well as an LTE-capable model.

On the back we have an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera, backed up by a 5.1-megapixel selfie shooter with a wide-angle lens. Sony has crammed a 6000mAh battery inside of the Xperia Z4 Tablet which the company says is good for around 17 hours of video playback. Out of the box we will have Google's latest Android 5.0 Lollipop.

Sony always does well with making its tablets nice and thin, with the Xperia Z4 Tablet being no exception. The slate is just 167 x 254 x 6.1mm, with the Wi-Fi only model weighing in at 389g and the LTE version at 393g. As always, we have IP68 certification that sees the Xperia Z4 Tablet dust and water-resistant. Sony should be launching the Xperia Z4 Tablet in June.

Sony Xperia Z4 Tablet: the world's slimmest and lightest 10-incher

Sony has launched what it's touting as the "world's lightest and slimmest 10-inch tablet" at MWC. The Xperia Z4 Tablet is an Android slate weighing in at 390g with a thickness of just 6.1mm. It is set to challenge other high-end slates such as the iPad Air 2 and undertake some tasks the Japanese company's previous VAIO laptop lineup would have been marketed as a solution for.
The design improvements represented by the Z4 Tablet are definitely a step up on its predecessor, with reduced bezels and a drop from the 6.4mm thick, 462g form factor of the Xperia Z2 Tablet helping make it look more high-end and professional. The new flagship tablet is also faster than its predecessor, with improved camera optics and a much brighter 2K display thrown into the mix.
The Xperia Z4 Tablet features an 8MP main shooter and a 5.1MP wide-angle front snapper for selfies and video calls. Under the hood, the tablet comes with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 810 octa-core 64-bit CPU, 3GB RAM and 32GB internal memory expandable via microSD. The 810 chip helps provide a longer battery life, with Sony claiming that the 6,000mAh capacity unit is capable of providing up to 17 hours of video playback in spite of the high display resolution of 2560x1600 pixels.

A noticeable change with the Z4 Tablet is Sony's attempt to get more business customers on board. The ultra thin waterproof tablet comes with a PC-like mode which allows users to transform it into a laptop by attaching a keyboard. The accessory will have a dedicated slot and docking detection, 0-130 degree adjustable tilt, and a laptop-style touchpad.
"We wanted to make the tablet into a better work companion," Jun Makino, Sony’s senior product marketing manager told the Guardian. "One of the key demands has been lightness and slimness, so it’s easy to carry around and hold; but also battery life so that it lasts a productive day."
Since Sony no longer owns the VAIO laptop line, the additional support for a BKB500 Bluetooth keyboard and inclusion of Microsoft's Office productivity suite shows that the company has yet to completely give up on trying to appeal to the mobile business audience. However, whether Android is capable of powering a useful workaday laptop-style computer remains to be seen.
The slate is set to be released globally in black or white, in 4G LTE and Wi-Fi variants, from June 2015.

Pelas especificações parece-me um aparelho bastante jeitoso. Resta saber se, dado a espessura e leveza do mesmo, não sofre de aquecimento excessivo e de consequentes quebras de performance.

Sony Xperia Z4 Tablet reaches Australia, available right now

Sony has just announced the Australian availability of its most exciting tablet yet, the Xperia Z4 Tablet. The Sony Xperia Z4 Tablet is the world's lightest and thinnest 10-inch tablet, which is quite the achievement for Sony, especially against Samsung and Apple.

The Xperia Z4 Tablet features a 10.1-inch 2K display, an 8-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor and weighs in at just 393g (13.8oz) for the 4G-capable model while the Wi-Fi-only model weighs 389g (13.7oz). As usual, the Xperia Z4 Tablet features IP68 waterproof protection, with dust tight rating with cap-less microUSB charging.

Sony is selling the new Xperia Z4 Tablet through Telstra for an RRP of $888, or on a 24-month plan through Go Mobile Broadband for $62 per month.
