Watch Out Xbox And PlayStation – Apple TV 4 Will Have Strict Focus On Gaming

It’s been reported from time and time again that the upcoming Apple TV 4 will feature third-party apps and games support. And now, a new report has surfaced, claiming that the Apple TV 4’s strict focus will be on the gaming side, and the Cupertino giant is taking things very seriously.

The news comes in from The New York Times, and they say:
Apple is expected to make games a primary selling point of its new Apple TV product, which is scheduled to be announced on Wednesday in San Francisco, according to people briefed on Apple’s plans who spoke on the condition of anonymity.
The Apple TV 4 is said to come packed with a 64-bit Apple A8 chip, which will significantly give the device a boost in performance, essentially allowing gamers to get their fix on a large screen. But keep on thing in mind though, the Apple A8 is a mobile chip, so don’t expect PlayStation 4 or Xbox One levels of gaming performance in your living room, as the Cupertino giant is aiming towards the casual gamer out there.
Another report, which was published a while back, suggested that the Apple TV 4 will have explicit support for external Bluetooth game controllers, but today’s piece confirms that the Cupertino giant is taking gaming a bit too seriously in that regard with its upcoming set-top box.

The Apple TV 4 will be a huge upgrade over the current set-top box which Apple sells in the market. The upcoming iteration will feature a brand new remote with a microphone for Siri and a touchpad for interacting with the on-screen UI. And speaking of UI, the Apple TV 4 is said to come with brand new software on-board, breaking away from Apple’s current-gen offering.

Apple TV 4 UI concept by Andrew Ambrosino
The Apple TV 4 will be unveiled at Cupertino’s big event which will take place on the 9th of September, just two days from now. The company is expected to announce a bunch of new hardware, including the iPhone 6s and the iPhone 6s Plus along with a range of new iPads in the iPad Pro and the iPad mini 4. Apple will, of course, talk about software as well, but this time around will instead focus on the final release dates of iOS 9, El Capitan and watchOS 2.
We’ll be covering the event from start to finish on the big day, so be sure to check out on this space in a couple of days’ time.

If Apple TV 4 Looks Like This Then We’re Definitely Buying! – Concept Images

Up until now, there hasn’t been an image leak of the Apple TV 4 thus far, but concept designers are constantly busy churning out great visuals of what the device could look like once revealed to the world come the big event day.

Resident graphic designer Martin Hajek has once again tossed his coins into the jar and has come up with a beautiful concept of a potential Apple TV 4 candidate. And as you can see from the images below, it looks absolutely gorgeous, and we would definitely throw in our money to buy one!

The above Apple TV 4 concept takes heavy inspiration from the iPhone 6 in terms of design. But that’s not where the greatness of the concept ends, the designer even went a mile ahead and gave the Apple TV 4 remote dual sided displays, and when flipped over, the accessory even doubles down as a gaming remote.
On the UI front, the designer imagines a brand new interface, which is based on the work of Andrew Ambrosino. But given the concept Hajek has conjured up, it’s a clear sign that the designer has focussed more on the design bit than anything else, and we have to admit, it looks absolutely stunning hands down.
The designer even had the foresight to toss in a glowing Apple logo as well, because, why not, right?

The Apple TV 4 is all set for announcement tomorrow at Apple’s big event, which will also see the likes of the iPhone 6s, iPad Pro and iPad mini 4 being announced on stage. The company’s new set-top box is rumored to be strictly focussed on the gaming end, with the Cupertino aiming to target the casual gamer with its new hardware.
The Apple TV 4 is said to be powered by the A8 chip, the one found in the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. And on the design front, as we mentioned before, not much is known, except for the fact that it will be larger than the current third-gen Apple TV model which the company sells in the market.
We’ll be keeping a close eye on the Apple TV 4 and will bring to our readers all the leaked and officially announced details as soon as we get our hands on them. Till then, sit tight, and be sure to let us know in the comments section below what you guys think about today’s concept render.

Apple TV 2015 Officially Announced – Here Are All The Details And Images That You Need To Know

Apple has finally unveiled its Apple TV. Let us see what the company has done with this product regarding features and the ever impressive remote control that we kept hearing about.

Apple TV 2015 Looks Thoroughly Amazing, Particular The New Remote That Comes Along With It

Perhaps the biggest highlight of the product was the revolutionary remote control that the company bundled with the product. The remote control itself has a touchpad and features several buttons that you with which users can take advantage of. Starting off, if the end user ends turning the remote sideways, then it will turn in to a game controller. The touch part of the remote has a glass touch to it and features the following buttons:

    • Menu button
    • Display button
    • Siri button
    • Play/Pause, volume

The surprising thing about this remote is that it does feature any power button. Coming to the actual interface of Apple TV 2015, the user interface is much cleaner, offering users a much more comfortable experience. In order to do this, the interface will no longer be cluttered with channels and networks, but with more content for people to choose from.

Additionally, there is also a white background running in the background instead of a black one, which has probably been done in order to provide illumination in the surrounding area of the room. Apple has also ended up redesigning all of its apps for Apple TV 2015 and to top it all, they have introduced a new platform called tvOS.

Since the remote control features Siri, users can also act as your show selector. For example, if the viewer wants to the watch Modern Family, then all you will have to do is tell Siri to do just that and you can begin your viewing sessions immediately. Moving on, users can also receive weather and sports scores to the TV itself.

tvOS Beta Now Available To Download [Devs Only]

Along with iOS 9.1 beta 1, Apple also took the liberty to release tvOS beta for those enrolled in the Apple Developer Program.

For those who are not aware, tvOS is the underlying software that powers the newly announced Apple TV, which is packed to the rafters with features unimaginable in a set-top box. The new Apple TV with tvOS marks the first ever instance where the Cupertino tech giant is bringing apps to the big screen, or our living room, depending on how you look at it.
If you’re a developer, it’s worth noting here that tvOS is not compatible with the third-generation Apple TV or lower, and is solely meant for the new hardware which Apple announced on stage today. Apart from tvOS, Apple also released iOS 9.1 beta 1 to developers a while back. Given that the new Apple TV will hit retail channels in October, it’s likely that iOS 9.1 will also hit consumer channels during that time, along with the 12.9-inch iPad Pro.
With the new Apple TV, the Cupertino tech giant is reimagining how we see a set-top box, and in order to boost the device’s credentials, the new Apple TV features a full-blown App Store along with a new UI that focuses directly on the content you want to consume, and to top things off, Siri is also thrown into the mix with support for universal search which will be expanded to other sources as we move into the future.

Apart from the tvOS beta, Apple has also released the tvOS SDK, so developers can immediately start creating apps for the company’s new set-top device. The tvOS SDK is also available to download from the Apple Developer Program. And for those who are unaware, the Apple Developer Program requires $99 annual fee to get the ball rolling. If you’re a developer and are aspiring to create apps for the new Apple TV, then we suggest that you toss in your cash and get a membership right away.
For consumers, the new Apple TV is a big release, and given its $149 – $199 price tag, the device is not an expensive one either given its powerful feature set. Alongside the new Apple TV, the Cupertino tech giant is also selling the third-gen Apple TV as well for the same price of just $69. It would’ve been great if Apple had brought some features of the new Apple TV to the older model, but we’re certain the company didn’t do so just to keep a stark difference between the two devices.
Will you be buying the new Apple TV? Let us know in the comments section below.

Apple TV 2015 Is Loaded With Really Impressive Hardware – Check Out All The Details Here

Apple announced its new Apple TV 2015, showcasing different number of features on the software side of things. However, the only other hardware details we got to know about the device was that it features an A8 SoC; the chipset present in iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. Now, we have uncovered the remaining specifications of the product, and they are impressive to say the least.

Apple TV 2015 Features The Company’s A8 SoC, Along With 2GB Of RAM – More Details Available

Without jumping in to too many unnecessary details, Apple TV 2015 has 2GB of RAM that supplements the dual-core processor running inside A8. In addition, the product will be available to purchase in two storage variants, whose details we will get to later on. Right now, let us identify the connectivity features of Apple TV.
Starting off, Apple has incorporated an 802.11 ac Wi-Fi adapter, along with an Ethernet port that has a maximum download speed of 100Mbps. Just like the tech giant’s 12 inch MacBook, Apple TV 2015 also features a Type-C USB port, along with an HDMI port that can effortlessly playback videos on a resolution of 1080p. Perhaps the biggest selling of the miniature device is its 2GB RAM count, which will deliver improved video caching as well as overall better performance in taxing gaming applications.

Additional information that needs to be pointed out here is that the new Apple TV has an internal identifier of 5,3. The last public Apple TV was 3,2, which indicates that a few internal revisions had taken place before the company finally decided to settle with this iteration. However, the one disappointing aspect of the product is that it does not feature an optical audio port.
Audio is instead sent over the HDMI cable but if you religiously relied on the optical audio jack, there are other ways around it, such as purchasing a splitter box that converts HDMI into HDMI and optical output. As for the pricing details, they have been detailed below:

    • 32GB – $149
    • 64GB – $199

Apple TV 2015 is going to ship out during the month of October.

You Can Now Jailbreak Apple TV 2 On 6.2.1 Using Seas0nPass

Seas0nPass 0.9.7 has been released that lets you jailbreak Apple TV 2 on the latest firmware version, which is 6.2.1. The new jailbreak tool also brings with it support for OS X El Capitan.

Ever since the Apple TV 3 was released, Apple had closed the jailbreaking doors for good. Two generations later, we still have no jailbreak for any Apple TV model following the aforementioned iteration. However, the Apple TV 2 was an entirely different story altogether, with the set-top box being jailbroken on a number of occasions. In fact, the Apple TV 2 has been jailbroken for life, with a new solution arriving in the form of Seas0nPass 0.9.7 (beta) that can liberate Cupertino’s ‘hobby’ device on its latest firmware release.
Before we get into more details, there are a few things that should be cleared beforehand. First of all, the tool is currently in its beta stages, and it will be updated later with more stability and performance fixes. Secondly, you can jailbreak Apple TV 2 on the latest firmware released tethered boot only, which means you have to boot tethered each and every single time your device restarts, unlike an untethered jailbreak. Lastly, the latest version of Seas0nPass adds support for Cupertino’s latest desktop operating system, which is OS X El Capitan, and the tool is currently available for Mac users only.
The full changelog of Seas0nPass 0.9.7 is as follows:
This beta is available for Mac only.

This version defaults to 5.3 (untethered) and you can install 6.2.1 (tethered) by right-clicking the Create IPSW button.
The 6.2.1 jailbreak is tethered (for now) so please ensure you know what that means before using this.
While the Apple TV 2 is an ancient device in the tech world, but it’s the only model of the Apple TV that can be jailbroken at this current point in time, making it an ideal gadget to own if you like to live dangerously beyond Apple’s walled software garden.
You can download the latest version of Seas0nPass by heading over to GitHub. Remember, as we mentioned above, the software is currently in its beta phases which means that you will likely run into roadblocks in unsuspecting places.
If you’re looking for details on how to use the tool, simply follow our guide posted here on how to do just that. Make sure you click on the ‘Boot Tethered’ option with your Apple TV connected to your Mac if for some reason you have restarted your set-top box.

The new Apple TV costs $149 for the 32GB model while the variant with the 64GB option is available for $199 through Apple’s Retail Stores in the U.S. The hot question that drains from the release is the compatibility of apps and games. The apps for the Apple TV constitutes how you watch your TV shows, sports, movies and many more, eliminating the hardships to control your media, via the new Siri Remote.
Let’s see some additional details on compatible apps and games and how do they stack up against the previous generation Apple.
Apple TV – ‘The Future Of Television’

The new Apple TV has an all-new user interface with a dedicated operating system called the tvOS. The new operating system brags its very own App Store which will be the major source for all app and game downloads. The new Apple TV is a lot different from the previous generation Apple TVs in terms of hardware as well as software. It is fast yet visually appearing, competing against the likes of Google’s Chromecast and Roku.

Apple has sent emails to some of its customers for the promotion of its enhanced TV hardware. The email denotes the 4th-generation Apple TV as ‘the future of television’ stressing upon some of the new additions like Siri integration with Remote, the new UI and some other aspects.

If you are planning to purchase the new Apple TV, there are no scales to measure how the stock level variants are like. Before you make a decision to head to the Apple Store, it would be best for users to reserve the devices online for personal pickup. You can also order your Apple TV from Apple’s Online Store for delivery. Moreover, if you want to pre-order it, you can visit Best Buy for U.S oriented deliveries marked for November 5th.
The Apple TV is surrounded by an ample amount of third party accessories which you can opt for. This is it for now, folks. Did you guys pre-order the new Apple TV? What are your forecasts about it? Let us know in the comments below.

The New Apple TV Has Support For Stereoscopic 3DTV Content

Apple has already started shipping the Apple TV pre-orders to customers, which were up this Monday. However, what many of us didn’t know is the secret trick, packed inside the new Apple TV. The trick is something that Apple kept hidden and did not let us get a hunch of until now.

The new Apple TV has support for stereoscopic 3DTV content, which means that Apple’s set-top box has the capability to show the 3D content like games and movies on supported TVs. The Apple Tv can deliver 3D movies, games and more content that can also be downloaded and installed via the tvOS App Store.
Let’s dig in to find some more details on compatibility and availability of 3D supported content.
Apple TV Features Support For 3D Content

As much excited as we all were for the new Apple TV release with new hardware and software, support for 3D content on supported TVs is very surprising. Developer Steve Stroughton-Smith found the stereoscopic 3DTV content support in the Pangea Softare’s Bugdom 2 game, which is already available on the App Store of the newly introduced tvOS.
Currently there are only a few numbers of 3D games present on tvOS that you can take advantage of on your new Apple TV. However, the number will gradually increase judging by the popularity and utility of the 3D content support in the coming days. On the other hand, this can also be Apple’s start to bringing 3D movies and other content to the iTunes in the coming future.

    Follow
    Steve T-S @stroughtonsmith

    This is so trippy @PangeaSoftware

Nonetheless, there are some prerequisites to view 3D content on your new Apple TV. The first line is obviously the supported 3DTV without which the feature support is useless. Moreover, you will also need 3D glasses to view your content. If you have pre-ordered the new Apple TV and want to view 3D content, make sure to prepare your content before hand.
Furthermore, if you own Pangea’s games on iOS, they would be free to download on tvOS as well. So make sure you try the 3D apps as soon as your Apple TV arrives which will give you a much better insight to the 3D content feature. Games on tvOS can be played via the Siri Remote that comes pre-packed with the Apple TV along with the compatible gamepad.
This is it for now, folks. Do you guys think the 3D content support for the new Apple TV is an exciting feature? Let us know in the comments.

Apple TV 2015 Hacked To Run A Makeshift Safari Browser – Video

The new Apple TV is a powerful device compared to its predecessors, boasting intriguing internals and a dedicated operating system to work with. It’s a set-top box like no other, bragging features like Siri and an App Store that makes it more than just a competent device. However, the Apple TV lacked support for a browser to surf the internet.

Seemingly, a new video has been posted that showcases a specially designed browser for the new Apple TV followed by a hack. The makeshift Safari browser on the new Apple TV looks like a handy on-the-go tool to connect to the internet. The project is open source one which means anyone can make use of the browser. However, it uses a private API to furnish the oncoming web content, which states that the browser will not be making an appearance on the tvOS App Store anytime soon.
Let’s dive in to see some additional details on the new Apple TV hack and how can the web be operated on a TV screen.
Video Shows A Makeshift Browser Running On The New Apple TV

Luckily, the hacked makeshift browser takes advantage of the Siri Remote that comes pre-packed with the new Apple TV. Henceforth, it will be used for interacting with content on the browser. The Trackpad on the Siri Remote will be used for navigational purposes while pressing the glass on the remote will allow users to access two modes. Check out the embedded video below for more details and a clear insight:

The first mode will grant users to scroll through web pages which can be done by flicking your finger on the glass surface. The second mode will reveal a pointer on the TV, enabling users to select an item from the content by pressing the glass on the Siri Remote. The procedure might not be as fast, but it gets the job done.
The browser loads web pages in a jiffy and operates pretty well, considering it is a hack. Although, the makeshift browser on the new Apple TV might not be suitable for hardcore browsing and squeezing the equivalent amount of utility as compared to other substitutes, it is pretty useful to some extent for casual browsing.
This is it for now, folks. What do you think about this hacked makeshift browser? Is it an essential feature to have on your new 2015 Apple TV? Let us know in the comments.

Download tvOS 9.0.1 For Apple TV 4 – Direct Link

Apple has released tvOS 9.0.1 firmware for Apple TV 4, and it happens to be the first ever software update for the company’s newly released set-top box.

Apple Releases The First Ever Software Update For The Apple TV 4

The Apple TV 4 is a mighty upgrade when compared to what was on offer for the past few years. Apple took the liberty to bring the App Store to the big screen, and also tossed in a few features that enhance the overall functionality of the Apple TV 4. The underlying software, for example, is a mighty upgrade, and without it, the new hardware would be essentially useless. And with Apple being busy these days pushing out beta software bits for both its desktop and mobile operating system, the company is also working round the clock to ensure that its ‘hobby’ hardware is doing great as well, with the company today releasing the first ever software update for the Apple TV 4 to further prove that notion.
If you’re in the ownership of the new Apple TV 4 then you might want to update to the latest build, which is tvOS 9.0.1, straight away. The process is very simple and we’ll walk you through the entire thing in a complete step by step manner.

    • Launch the Settings app from your Apple TV 4’s home screen.
    • Using your Siri Remote, navigate to System.
    • Now navigate to MAINTENANCE: Software Update.
    • Simply select ‘Update Software’ and you’re done.

Make sure that you have a stable Internet connection before you go ahead as you don’t want a failed download at any point. Also, during the update process, make sure that you do not touch your device and let the entire installation process run its course without any incident.

If you’re looking to download the tvOS 9.0.1 firmware file, then simply click on this link. We recommend that you download the firmware file onto your hard drive for safekeeping, in case something goes wrong in the future and you have something to restore to using iTunes.
It’s great to see that Apple is doing all it can to improve its software across the board, and having witnessed the final release of tvOS just over a week, the company acted swiftly in releasing the first ever software update for its newly released set-top box.
If you’re an Apple TV 4 user, then we highly recommend that you grab the update right away as it brings with it bug fixes and performance enhancements. We will, as usual, highlight all the major changes in this build right here, so stay tuned to our coverage.

iOS 9.1 Shows The Same ‘UIFocusEngine’ Support As Apple TV’s tvOS

The new Apple TV 2015 is a big jump from its predecessor, bringing in powerful internals and a dedicated operating system to work with. Moreover, the release of iOS 9.1 brought a bevy of features along with bug fixes. However, developers are up to decoding the operating system in order to find some valuable information that can be put to other uses.

Likewise, developer Steve Troughton-Smith discovered that iOS 9.1 has a secretly embedded ‘UIDocusEngine’ built-in, the same as that of the Apple TV. The aforesaid ‘UIFocusEngine’ is responsible for controlling and navigating apps using a game controller or a keyboard. This states that the iPhone can one day be controlled by keyboards and other things, only if Apple allows us to.
Let’s see the ”UIFocusEngine’ in a little more detail for what it is capable of and how can developers take advantage of it in the future.
The ‘UIFocusEngine’ Is Not Currently Useful

Steve showed a demo to John Gruber of Daring Fireball in which he was able to control the app on the new iPad Pro using the Smart Keyboard. The results were expected, but according to Gruber, the ‘UIFocusEngine’ is quite far astray from an equilibrium at this point. However, developers can probably take advantage of this support in the near future. Gruber explains the present usefulness of ‘UIFocusEngine’ in the following words:
To be clear, this isn’t useful today, at all. Not only are they all private APIs, but the controls are only accessible through a hardware keyboard. So if you make a regular button with UIKit, it can be tapped (with your finger), but can’t be navigated to using a keyboard; if you make a button using UIFocusEngine, you can select it and trigger it using the keyboard, but it doesn’t respond to touch.

Even though the idea of controlling your iPhone with a keyboard does not make sense, it can prove to be useful in some cases. Even if it is capable, the touch controls would remain a primary source of interaction with the iPhone.
It’s assumed that the Cupertino giant is pondering over the mechanism of controlling and navigating apps with the help of keyboards. In this regard, if you are using your iPad with the Bluetooth keyboard acting as a secondary tool, you will be able to accomplice a lot of aspects right from your keyboard controls.
This is it for now, folks. Share your thoughts in the comments.

tvOS 9.1 Beta 3 For Apple TV 4 Released

tvOS 9.1 beta 3 has been released by Apple on its Developer Program website and is immediately available for download.

Apart from iOS 9.2 and OS X 10.11.2 El Capitan, Apple is also working in the background to improve the software that powers its newly released set-top box – the Apple TV 4. Currently sitting at tvOS 9.0.1 for public users, the software is at version 9.1 beta in the background and is currently being tested by developers and refined by Apple itself.
tvOS 9.1 is no more than a maintenance, bug fix and performance enhancing release that aims to enhance the overall user experience for those who are in the ownership of the new Apple TV 4. If you have tvOS 9.1 beta 2 installed onto your Apple TV 4 right now, then we highly recommend that you update it to the third pre-release build straight away, ensuring that things run as smoothly as ever for you.
tvOS is powerful in a lot of ways and combines the best of Apple with the power of Siri, allowing you to glide through Cupertino’s massive content library using the power of your voice. While Siri is being refined as we speak for the Apple TV 4, but Cupertino has laid down all the necessary foundations to give its new ‘hobby’ device a good head start among consumers.

For the first time ever, Apple has brought apps to the Apple TV as well as a full-fledged App Store, and while developer uptake might seem a little slow in the start, but the potential of crafting apps and games for the big screen is most definitely there, and we’re certain that many individuals around the world will definitely conjure up some beautiful software for Apple’s set-top device.

At this current point in time, the market is flooded with a bunch of devices that aim to make our TVs more ‘smart’ in a lot of ways. But given that every company is at its peak when it comes to delivering high-end features to the average consumer in the living room space, it remains to be seen where Apple’s set-top box will stand in the months to come when compared to the likes of the Fire TV, Roku etc.
Given Apple’s credentials when it comes to the Apple TV, we have high hopes that the newfound product would do good in the space, and even if it doesn’t, Cupertino has laid down a good foundation for itself and aspiring developers already. Do you agree?

Amazon Instant Video App Reportedly Arriving Soon For Apple TV Despite Previous Snub

    image: http://hothardware.com/ContentImages...Apple_tvOS.jpg

In October, we learned that Amazon is willing to do whatever it takes to help its video service succeed, even if it means disallowing the sales of competing products on its marketplace. If that wasn't enough proof that the company has grand ambitions, a rumor popped-up last week which suggests that the company will soon be partnering with third-party providers to beef up its library with more high-quality content. Of course, it's also hard to ignore that Amazon will soon be home to the three former Top Gear hosts, which could prove to be a major boon in itself.
It now appears that the company is ready to thaw its rather chilly relationship with Apple by working on a version of its Instant Video app for the recently introduced fourth generation Apple TV.

    Follow
    Dan Bostonweeks @danimal

I sent feedback to Amazon via the Amazon Instant Video iOS app about supporting tvOS. They say it’s in development.

Interestingly, this move wasn't discovered through a leak, but rather a loose-lipped Amazon customer service representative. iOS user Dan Bostonweeks decided to shoot an email to customer service to inquire about the possibility of a tvOS app, and surprisingly, the response was positive. "Hopefully, within a few weeks span, you will be able to see the Amazon Instant Video app feature on your Apple TV," replied the representative that was likely not supposed to make such plans available to the public.
We're not usually blessed to learn from an official source that something of this nature is in the works, much less be given a timeline for it, so this is quite impressive. It's also a great thing for those who are using tvOS and happen to want access to Amazon's streaming services.

Video Shows The New Apple TV Streaming Steam Games From PC

Developer Kevin Smith has tweaked some open source tools in the new Apple TV to stream games from a PC. Previously, we have seen that the developer had also exhibited a MAME emulator version running on the new Apple TV. Kevin simply leads the NVIDIA’s GameStream based Moonlight iOS open source project and modifies it to work on Apple TV’s tvOS. The developer can be seen streaming an open world game on the Apple TV in the video.

Developer Streaming Grand Theft Auto V Using The Moonlight Client

The modification of the Moonlight iOS allowed the developer to stream steam games from a PC on the new Apple TV. With that said, there is no need of running the streamed games directly on the Apple TV. Moreover, the tweak will allow games to mirror the quality as the source PC. Although, when used without a wireless ethernet connection, it comes to streaming strength and Wi-Fi limitations.
As you can see in the video below, the developer is making use of the Moonlight client on the new Apple TV to run Grand Theft Auto V. Smith makes it clear in the video description that the code compilation is extremely complex and it does not consider the restrictions imposed by the tvOS. This suggests that the app will not be making a debut on the App Store any time soon. However, the code does the trick by perfectly streaming games to the Apple TV.

The new Apple TV is Apple’s first initiative towards couch gaming. The idea is promoted by a dedicated App Store in the tvOS. Moreover, the powerful internals and a dedicated OS is gradually gathering community around the Apple TV which will eventually make the device even more useful in the future. However, there are rare chances of us ever seeing it on the new Apple TV.

The new Apple TV does have support for wireless gaming controllers. These controllers are devoted for light iOS-like games rather than more hardcore games that reach out to console level. Nonetheless, it might be too early to expect more sophisticated games, making way to the new Apple TV. In the future, we might see some improvements in the Apple device in terms of gaming. Moreover, Facebook also announced a new SDK for developers to build more indulging social experience.
As for now, what do you guys think about playing games on the Apple TV? Do you think the Apple TV will ever feature support for more heavy and sophisticated games? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
