Here Are 5 Siri Features On iOS 9 That You Won’t Get Enough Of

Apple’s iOS 9 came with several upgrades on board. Cupertino finally seems to have caved in to several user demands, as iOS 9 because Apple’s first iOS to support iPad split screen multitasking support. Siri also got an all new, upgraded look, with Apple’s virtual assistant not only seeing its interface improved significantly, but also an upgraded search feature. So in case you haven’t installed Apple’s iOS 9 public beta on your device, here’s everything that’s changed with Siri this time around.

    Siri Gets Transit

With Siri on iOS 9, your public transit days are to become a lot easier. Apple’s upgraded transit feature on maps has been combined with Siri, so if you’re using iOS 9 and looking for subway, bus or train routes and stations, you won’t have to face much of a hassle. All you need to do is ask Siri for directions and voila! Apple’s virtual assistant will provide you with a complete route on maps. Lets just hope Apple’s worked a lot harder on its Maps this time around as well.

    Location, Location, Location

Ever wondered where your spouse, close friends or anyone in your contacts list is at a particular time? Well, if you like to keep tabs on your loved ones, or just need to know someone’s location, Siri’s got your back in iOS 9. An all new Find Friends app, which is integrated with Siri will take care of this for you. All you need to do is ask Siri (politely?) where a particular contact is, as shown in the image above.

Finding your friends is going to become a whole lot easier in iOS 9. And that’s not where the buck stops. In iOS 9’s upgraded Siri, you’ll also be able to set notifications when the contact you’re tracking reaches a certain location. So, for example, if you wanted to know when ‘Bob’ in the image above reached Dominos? Siri’ll send you a notifications should you desire.

    Location Specific Photos

With the increase in smartphone camera advancements, and Apple’s general expertise at squeezing the maximum out of its camera sensors on the iPhone, photo libraries on iOS devices have started to become ever expansive. While giving users more freedom to capture high quality moments whenever they seem fit, it also brings the unfortunate drawback of large libraries where you have to devote some time should you need to bring a particular image, or a particular set of images out. Well, Siri on iOS 9 will now aid you in that as well.

So all you’re going to need to do now is ask Siri to display photos from a particular location and all your snapshots will be displayed. It’ll make managing and accessing photo libraries on your iPhone quite a lesser of a chore. Lets just hope storage specifications for devices increase at an equally similar pace so that there’s no limit on the amount of photographs that we can take.

    Math!

Here’s one of our favorite features on an all new upgraded Siri for iOS 9. Gone are the days when you manually need to open up convertors and more to change digits from one unit of measurement to another. With Siri on iOS 9, conversion becomes a whole lot easier and she’ll perform all the calculations herself, making things a lot faster as well. So if you find yourself converting currency, units or even looking for easy ways to past a simple math quiz, Siri will be at your service like never before.

    Set Reminders; Anytime, Anywhere

In the smartphone era, our mobile devices have become much more than simply devices to communicate with others. Courtesy of a plethora of native and outsider apps, we can now use our devices to become personal managers as well and set schedules, alarms, book dates for events and a lot more. Siri in iOS 9 will add a lot to that, with the feature to set Reminders anytime, anywhere. So, imagine if you’re if you’re surfing on Safari and you see a post that you’d simply like to read later or tell someone about.

All you’re going to need to do is ask Siri to remind you about a particular piece of content to review later and it’ll do just that. After all, with constant internet connectivity, not everyone has the time to read everything, everywhere. With Siri on iOS 9, you’ll be sure to better manage any thing you might stumble accidentally or otherwise online.
So that just about covers our brief feature on Apple virtual assistant. Like the changes? Do you think Apple should have done more? Let us know what you think in the comments section.

Here’s How To Use Slide Over And Split View On The iPad On iOS 9

With iOS 9, Apple introduced a slew of new features that many loyal fans would love to get their hands on. WWDC this year saw several big announcements on the iOS side, with one of the most important one being Apple’s decision to make Swift open sourced. But that’s another topic. If you’re an iOS fan and have managed to get your hands on Apple’s beta, then you might want to know how to enable the iPad’s split-screen, multitasking feature. Well, worry no more. We have just the guide for you today.

Enable Split-Screen Multi-Tasking On The iPad In Quick And Easy Steps

When you come to take a look at, multitasking on the iPad with iOS 9 isn’t really that difficult. Not that we’d expect things to be any different given Apple’s mantra of making iOS usable with minimum effort. But for anyone accustomed to the ways of the old iOS, things will change a little and that’s where we come in. To start multitasking on your Apple tablet, all you need to do is swipe over from the right side of the screen. This will display the slideover menu, as can be seen in the image below.

To start working on another app, while simultaneously maintaining access to the one that you’re currently using, simply tap on the numerous app icons displayed in the sidebar. This will end up opening a new app for you to switch to, and gray out the previous one that you were working on. Its that simple folks. But that isn’t the only multitasking feature that Apple debuted at this year’s WWDC.

Another feature that comes with iOS 9 is Split View, that allows you to simultaneously view two apps at the same time. To use Split View, all that you need to do is pull down on the Slide Over menu shown previously and voila! Your app is now in Split View mode. Sadly Split View will only be coming with the iPad Air 2, leaving us to ponder what sin have older Apple users committed? Hopefully Apple will decide to change this policy, but if not then hey, you can always get an all new iPad Air 2 for yourself right? We wish. Stay tuned and let us know what you think in the comments section below.

iOS 9 Will Be Able To Delete App Data To Make Space For Software Updates

After Apple dispatched its OS X El Capitan Beta 2 to developers, along with iOS 9 Beta 2, these diligent individuals were able to locate a very handy feature concerning the overall space of iOS devices. While the feature does not possess an official name, we will just refer to it as a highly useful iOS 9 space management feature. This feature will help to free up sufficient space by temporarily removing app data in order to pave the way to install future iOS updates. Sounds nifty right?

iOS 9 Will Have A Pop Up That Will Request User To Free Storage For Future iOS Updates

In the near future, when you attempt to install iOS 9 on an iPhone or iPad that has a low storage count, a pop up will sprout up in front of you. If you agree to follow what it says, then iOS 9 will cleverly be able to free up space by removing app data temporarily in order to make sufficient room for updating purposes.
Since several users have purchased the base storage model of iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus (which is 16 GB, minus the amount of space that the operating system consumes) and have since run into low storage issues. Apple’s large iOS 8 update didn’t help things either. Since the update possessed a storage count of 4 GB, an abounding number of iPhone users were not able to update their devices successfully.

Now that Apple plans to up the base storage model to 32 GB in its upcoming iPhone 6s duo, that, coupled with the latest feature from iOS 9, pretty soon, that low memory warning will be the least worrisome thing to get all flustered about. In fact, Macrumors states that Apple has significantly reduced the installation size of the operating system to a modicum 1.3 GB, which will make it much easier for users to find space to update their mobile devices. Another feature called app thinning has been discovered by developers, which will help to free up space on devices by installing only the necessary app assets for each mobile device.
So far, iOS 9 seems to look impressive each time a new feature gets unveiled. Let us hope that the update is worth the wait.

iOS 9’s Low Power Mode Smothers Performance For Impressive Battery Saving Results

From its announcement few weeks ago, iOS 9 has dropped many new features for iPhone and iPad specifically. From the latest to show, iOS 9’s low power mode has highlighted quite an impressive details to save power on the device. For some users, battery seemed to have been an issue on iPhone and now the Cupertino giant is bragging about its power saving mode. So what are the mechanics to achieve these mind bobbling results?

The Low Power Mode in iOS 9 is said to extend battery life performance by 3 hours which is enough to reach home and plug in to charge. iOS 9 features a Low Power Mode that reduces the capacity for hardcore functioning of an iPhone and eliminates background activity to a certain level that enhances battery life. The Geekbench scores have been recorded before and after the Low Power Mode in iOS 9 has been activated. The results are astonishing.
Low Power Mode Shows 40% Reduction In CPU Usage

The Geekbench scores note almost 40% reduction in processor throttle, hence saving battery life. Before the Low Power Mode was activated in an iPhone, the single-core score was 1606 and multi-core score reached 2891. However, when the Low Power Mode was activated, the single-core score dropped down to 1019 and correspondingly the multi-core score went 1751. This suggests a hefty power consumption reduction.

This made us thinking about all the factors that contribute to save power. When the Low Power mode is activated, all additional features that consume battery life are halted. This not only includes the reduction in CPU power consumption but visual effects such as animations, fetching mail, motion effects and refreshing apps on background. This gives iOS 9 the command to lessen battery drainage through Low Power Saving Mode.
Users will be prompted to enable Low Power Mode when battery level reaches 10 or 20 percent. Users can also manually switch it on via a new Battery tab in the settings menu. Considering the Geekbench scores in iPhone 6 Plus, similar results were seen on iPhone 5S, reducing performance by 40 percent. Henceforth, the battery life performance is improved. Additionally, iOS 9 enhances battery life by an hour without the Low Power Mode activation. That’s all for now, peeps. Share your thoughts in the comments below.

Removed Home Sharing For Music To Be Added In iOS 9

iOS 8.4 release had one major purpose, launching the Apple Music. With that purpose fulfilled, a feature holding immense important has been removed from the system. That is Apple’s Home Sharing support for Music in iOS devices. This is an important aspect of the complete Home Sharing platform and music is one of the most important aspects people use Home Sharing for. Nonetheless, the feature has been removed from iOS 8.4.

However, it was expected that the Home Sharing For Music will be reintroduced in the near future and judging by the news, it seems pretty legit. The news came from a Twitter post where Eddy Cue, the iTunes Cheif was questioned about the incarnation of Home Sharing for music in the iOS department. The news was confirmed as Eddy replied about the feature to be available again in iOS 9. Lets head down to some more details.
Home Sharing For Music And Genius Mixes Absent In iOS 8.4

Its not the Home Sharing for Music that’s absent but the Genius Mix is also absent currently. The twp absent features goes down to the release notes for iOS 8.4 beta where Apple has clearly notified users about the non-availability of the features. It seems Apple already had the notion to include in the later versions of iOS, in this case, iOS 9 which s to be launched later this fall.

    Peter Kaufman @inklake
Hey @cue, I hope I don't have to be @taylorswift13 to get you to restore Home Sharing for music! #ios84

@inklake We are working to have Home Sharing in iOS 9.

The Home Sharing For Music has been disabled for a while but it sure does work with Videos. All other devices that are not running the iOS 8.4 have access to Home Sharing for Music like Apple TV and Mac. Even though Apple’s plan to introduce the feature in iOS 9 are straight, we still have no clue as of what beta might Apple choose to put it in. So it remains to be seen if Apple will introduce Home Sharing for Music in the next beta which is anticipated to arrive next week with improvements and more.
Apple has been real helpful in coordinating with the general public about issues concerning either the Apple Music or Home Sharing for Music. It’s good to see support from the tech giant to resolve issues. This is it for now, folks. Make sure you share your views in the comments section below.

Apple to bring back iTunes home sharing with iOS 9

Apple recently launched new versions of iTunes and the Music app for iOS in order to roll out its new streaming service, Apple Music. Unfortunately though, these new updates removed Home Sharing entirely, which allowed users to share their music library across devices on the same WiFi network.
There was quite a bit of backlash to this, so Apple has gone ahead and revealed that it will be bringing the feature back when it launches iOS 9 later this year. The removal of iTunes home sharing came as a surprise to everyone, so Apple’s Vice President of Internet Software and Services, Eddy Cue, noted on Twitter that the company is working on bringing the feature back: “We are working to have Home Sharing in iOS 9″, he said in response to a fellow Twitter user.

iTunes Home Sharing was particularly useful as the feature was cross-platform, meaning if you owned a PC, as long as you had iTunes installed you could stream over to iOS or Mac OS X. The latest iOS update still maintains the video streaming feature, which allows you to play files on the Apple TV but for now, music sharing is gone.
That said, you can grab a three-month free trial of Apple Music, which will run out around the time iOS 9 should launch.

Individual Albums For Selfies And Screenshots In iOS 9 Is A Useful Addition

There may be enumerable features making their way to iOS 9 which can be regarded as a positive change in the overall OS. Even though Apple has showcased its latest addition to the iOS lineup on the WWDC 15 event, I assure you not everything was covered. There are still plenty of features which are yet to be added like the ones we are about to discuss.

If you are a self obsessed type of person who deems to take a lot of Selfies without realizing how each session may be cluttered in the Photo Stream, there is an update for you. It seems as though Apple is including a separate album for the Selfies portion which will store all of your photos taken as selfies. However, we still have no clue whether the camera would detect sefie shot on its own or categorize images as taken from the front facing camera. The novelty is indeed welcome to the Photos App.
Selfies And Screenshots Holds Separate Albums In iOS 9

This means you will no longer have to sacrifice time to search your selfies from a complete list of pictures without a separator. Navigating will be quicker and there will be easier ways to make use of them. The feature is welcomed and appraised as a useful tool for day to day usage. More on this will be updated as the news arrive. Other than this, Apple has also included another album in their Photos App which will be responsible to pileup screenshots in a single place.

Most useful update in iOS 9 beta 3 - A selfies and screenshot album. @markgurman

Usually what people do is take a screenshot instead of copy pasting text. Obviously, taking a screenshot is much more easier and provides an easy way to access the desired information or an image. Previously, the screenshots were piled in an open form in the Photos App, clustered with other images that made locating harder. Just like the Selfies Album, Apple has planned to include the Screenshots Album in iOS 9 as well.

Are these Selfies and Screenshots albums new in iOS 9? Don’t remember seeing them before, but either way, very nice

Many of us are bound to save stuff through screenshots which in my case takes up 50% of the images I have on my phone and searching for a specific image gets cumbersome. So its a positive change to be part of the iOS 9 operating system. However, it is yet not confirmed to be part of the final iOS 9 release but we hope it stays whenever it arrives. More on this will be updated soon as the news arrives. For now, let us know how you guys feel about the change in iOS 9.

The iOS 9 Big Leap – An All-Round Improvement

The most difficult time for us software folks is the interval between an announcement and release. Its been a little while when Apple announced its forthcoming iOS 9 which is to be released in September and will be available for free. As plain as it seems, visually there are not ample of differences between iOS 9 and the current iOS version. However, don’t let the interface fool you, there’s a lot going on under that familiar feel. It’s Apple’s high-class software surgeons who have added a lot of effort intended for a much more stable, smarter and faster iOS.

The iOS 9 big leap extends from enhanced functionality to visual fluidity and its availability to a wide array of previous gen devices like the iPhone 4S, iPad 2, iPad Mini, iPod 5th generation and all the later models of the following iOS devices. So each year, Apple plans to make its oldest generation device redundant but this year, there is nothing like that. iOS 9 big leap features an overall development in iOS intended for a more futuristic approach. Hence, we will let you know about some of the aspects that makes it an OS of the future.
The Future Of iOS – What We Know

If you seek to toy with iOS 9, you can download the bet version from HERE. Do note down that since the OS is in the beta phase, not everything would be optimal and if you consider to use it as a daily driver, we would suggest you to install it on a spare iOS device. To our view of the overall upgrade, the build is pretty damned solid, wait till its officially released. So buckle up and cancel what you’re doing because we’re going to take a look at what Apple calls, ‘The future of iOS’.
    Gearing Up With Basics

Its the number of small things that make an overall impression and Apple has done exactly what make iOS 9 different from the current version. When you experience iOS 9, you will notice a jump in speed and fluid transitions. Shifting between applications is plain and consistent. The major aspect of fluidity will be noticed in messages, web pages, email and PDFs.
In the familiar iOS Home Screen, a word nerd can notice a change in font. It would be cumbersome to accept at first but later you’ll regard it as a positive change. The font shift from Helvetica to San Francisco features a richer text yet bulkier. There is now a significant distance between letter and words for a much spacious feel.

App switching in iOS 9 has taken a card flipping view which is quite attractive and fun to use. Cards in the app switcher overlap one another and graphically it looks quite appealing. Other than this, Apple has also introduced a ‘Low Power Mode’ which we all were waiting for. It extends your battery life for up to 3 hours. All together, there is also an hour extended time in the battery department. Due to a lighter and more efficient iOS 9, there is an overall improvement in Battery life.

The continuity feature has been modified for more integration with other devices like he ability to transfer phone calls to Mac or iPad. This is an essential feature for day to day use. There is also an addition of an app that enables android users to transfer files to iOS called ‘Move to iOS’. Android users will now be able to send any kind of file to iOS users using this application. It does not necessarily mean that the two people will have to be in range of each other. It works anywhere anytime.
    Some Familiar Applications

There is a slight addition of applications in the new iOS 9. When you see the Home Screen for the first time, you’ll notice a News app. This application is familiar to the Flipboard application but its simply more fun. the News App collects hot topics according to consumer preferences and provides relevant information that interests you. Its not included in the developer beta yet and we’ll notify you if it is included in the upcoming beta versions.

The Notes App – One of our favorite apps have faced a major redesign. Even if no body used it, Apple just gave us a reason to make plans. The total revamp includes a new checklist of to-do’s, you can now add photos to your notes as well as maps or locations for easy referencing. Links can be added along with a new doodling tool for sketching and drawing using finger touch. This has really redesigned the Notes App and the change is good.

Furthermore Maps App has taken a step forward to tackle google Maps on. The Apple Maps App now offers public transportation directions. This is called the transit view which is quite useful for people who use public transport. Wallet is now replacing the Passbook in iOS 9 which will keep track of your credentials and its integration to Apple Pay. Apple Pay is now more diversely spread over United States and it was debut in the United Kingdom a few days back. Now you don’t have to unlock your device to use Apple Pay, you simply press the Home button when you put your iPhone near the terminal. Its a cool addition to the Apple Pay.

Above all, Apple has also added a new page to the Home Screen, the Search Screen. It shows various category of information ranging from People, Apps, Places to the News that seems relevant for the occasion. Search has also been modified and it now shows more precise results than ever with the least time. It is also able to search documents in the iCloud drive which is pretty neat and handy.

    Brains Under The Hood

iOS 9 is going to be more efficient than it has ever been in any department. Its proactive and its intelligent to remind you to grab your coffee from the car roof before you drive. Apple tends to make things simpler yet time saving, cutting out all the extra steps involved in doing so. iOS 9 now saves time by using its own common sense to devise the shortest routes in getting a task done. It suggests you names when you copy stuff for sharing, judging by your most frequent and habitual behavior on the field and same goes for the subject matter.

The system identifies the songs or albums you were listening to, the last time you injected earbuds. It devised you suggestion and offers for nearby restaurants and other shop, judging by your GPS location. It can even remind you more efficiently. For instance you got a phone number in your messages, all you have to do is access Siri right there and ask it to remind you to call it. It works and saves time in the most efficient manner possible.

A gruesome feature that blew me away was when iOS 9 hunts down a name for an unknown caller. It looks for the contact name from your email or messages and displays it on the screen as the possible user. All of this is made iOS 9 a much more proactive, intelligent and an ever smarter OS. It feels like a companion more than an OS devising you ways to get the job done in the least amount of time.
One of the most important factors in iOS 9 is the security. As we all know Apple has changed its security criteria for signing into Apple ID. The Recovery Key option have been removed from iOS 9 and a two-factor authentication system is adopted by Apple that takes into account all other owned trusted devices for verification process. The feature is set to provide users an easy yet authenticated route to sign in. If users have their Recovery Keys lost than iOS 9 is where you can redeem them. This feature is not only introduced in iOS 9 but OS X El Capitan has featured it too.
The iPad Specials And Other Bits

Apple has devised something special for iPad, something we’ve all been craving for a long time. Yes! iPad is finally chosen to feature multi-tasking. The full split-screen multitasking is available on the iPad Air 2 while the previous gen iPad features multi-tasking with a limited version where users cannot have an equal split but a portion of the screen. This feature reflects the future of iOS in upcoming years. On the other hand, the feature would be fully supported on the expected iPad Pro which is set to launch by the end of this year. Android tablets and smartphones have had this feature for a long time but its really good to see the change finally making its way to Apple’s ecosystem.

You can also shrink videos and Facetime video calls to a certain level and continue your work where you left off. The video will continue to play as you use a different application. To be honest, you won’t even notice these features until you need them and do expect a high rate of exclamations in iOS 9.

iOS 9 also brought a set of new features in the keyboard department. There are a new set of controls for easy editing and formatting, controls like cut, copy, paste and other stuff. The iPad is transforming for both educational and organisational purposes and will probably boost sales of it sets down the road. Custom keys can also be added to the bar according to needs and preferences.

The keyboard is also modified to act as a trackpad which makes it easier for users to select text in a precise manner. You can place two fingers on the trackpad and move the cursor around with one finger while keep the other constant for selecting. Hence, selecting text and editing notes have never been more easier on an iOS device, the change is appreciated. There are a lot of other minor changes part of the keyboard which users will hunt down according to their need.
    The Final Verdict

Judging by the minor and major additions in iOS 9, we conclude that there is a lot of stiff crammed into one OS package which is less in size compared to the current iOS 8 version. There are a lot of other features and improvements made in the iOS which you will come to know when you see them. The iOS 9 big leap is definitely going to be a far one and truly an operating system which is set to tackle the future needs. The under the hood improvements are immense to grant it the title of being a major upgrade.
If you wish to check out the announced iOS 9, it is available in the beta version. However, you can wait till September when the final version arrives with fully optimal working apps and a stable build. iOS 9 will be covered in detail as soon as it arrives. As for now, share your thoughts in the comments. Do you think iOS 9 is a major upgrade designed for the future?

Not wanting its users to miss out on any early changes that have come to iOS 9, at WWDC this year Apple announced that it would also be making a public beta of iOS 9 available to the general public, which effectively gave all the iOS affectionados out there without a developer license to take it out for a spin themselves. Well, if you’re one of those folks, and for some reason want to downgrade to iOS 8.4, you can find out how to do so here, right after the break.

Downgrade From iOS 9 To iOS 8.4 In Quick And Easy Steps Here

So if you’re looking to downgrade to iOS 8.4 from iOS 9, follow these steps to easily go back. The first thing that you’re going to need to do is download iOS 8.4 for your device, if you don’t have the firmware lying around already, and download iTunes 12.2 from Apple’s website. You can download iOS 8.4 firmware from here, and iTunes from Apple’s website. After you’re done with your downloading, turn off Find My iPhone feature on your device, and connect it to your PC.

Launch iTunes, and make your device enter DFU Mode through pressing the Home and Power buttons on it simultaneously. Release the Power button after you’ve counted to 15, but continue pressing the Home Button. iTunes should now display a miniature window that resembles the one below:

Now, all you need to do is head over to your device display in iTunes, and press the Restore button while holding the Shift Key if you’re on Windows, or the Option Key if you’re on Mac. After a while iTunes will prompt you to provide the location of the iOS 8.4 firmware that you downloaded earlier. Simply give it the location and wait. Soon your device will be downgraded to iOS 8.4 without any issues. So start downgrading folks and let us know what you think in the comments section below.

Here’s How To Report Bugs In iOS 9 Beta

Several beta versions and a public beta has been seeded to testers and developers for iOS 9 and hopefully Apple is getting hold of some serious feedback. The early and current versions of iOS 9 betas has some buttload of bugs and errors that need to be taken care of, after all iOS 9 has not been officially released. The purpose of these beta staged iOS 9 builds is to notify Apple of these bugs so they can ponder over it.

If you’re a beta tester and you think the build has errors or bugs then it would be viable for the community to benefit from your feedback. Today, we are going to guide you in reporting bugs to Apple. This is the reason that on every iOS 9 beta form, a feedback app is included that makes it easier to report bugs.
Let Apple Know Of Any Bugs Sighted With Feedback Assistant App

Apple Feedback Assistant is installed on every users iOS device who is running a beta version of the forthcoming iOS version. Users can sign in from their Apple ID and report potential bugs in the handling system. This will enable Apple to overcome these bugs and make its ecosystem as friendly as possible. So let us teach us how you developer and tester folks can report bugs if you’re new to it.

    Step 1:
If you encounter a problem, take a screenshot of it. the purpose of this is to make it easier for Apple’s Software Engineers to visualize where the problem is present. To take a screenshot, press and release the Power button and Home button simultaneously. It will be saved in the Screenshots Album in Photos App.
    Step 2:

Now you need to launch the Feedback Assistant application and log in through your Apple ID if you’re a first time user.
    Step 3:
Once you have signed in, tap the Compose button located at the top right corner of the display and select Category according to your problems priority. Its up to you to fill the remaining fields but the more you fill, your issue gets precise.
    Step 4:
Attach the screenshot of the problem that you took earlier [Step 1].
    Step 5:
if you have fulfilled all your requirements for the problem, either save the feedback as draft or submit it.
That’s to it folks. You have successfully submitted your feedback for a certain problem in iOS 9. Make sure you follow these steps. There are little chances that Apple Engineers will approach you back so don’t wait up. This is it for now, let them know if you have any bugs sighted.

Request For Desktop Site In Safari With Ease On iOS 9

Our penchant for desktops would always remain a thing although we are hooked in the mobile era. Users who have iOS 9 beta installed will know a better yet easy way to view desktop sites on iPhone and iPad. Mobile sites are designed to load appropriate information considering speed and a better browsing experience. However, some of our favorite aspects are kept hidden and present on the full desktop site.

Even though Safari in iOS 9 does not boast a lot of changes than the current version, one of our favorite feature was the requesting of desktop sites. The requesting process has been minimized to a single tap while previously you had to pull down the URL bar and unveil hidden options where you would request for the full desktop site for your smartphone. Well, not any more.
Open Desktop Site On iPhone/iPad With A Single Tap

Lets suppose an instance where your laptop or any other computer is out of order or slow for whatever reason and viewing a desktop site is necessary. You can now access full desktop sites on your iPhone or iPad using the eased availability of options in iOS 9. We’ll show you how.

If you are an iOS 9 beta user, all you need to do is tap and hold the refresh button located on the right side of the address bar and two options will be revealed, ‘Cancel’ and ‘Request Desktop Site’. The cancel button does what it always do, the request for desktop site takes you to the full desktop version of your favorite website. Yes, there is also another way to do it via the share button but that would just mean repeating history as we go.
A few iOS 9 beta versions for developers along with a public beta is available for download. However, the official release is set to launch later this fall. If you wish to download iOS 9 beta, you can opt for Apple’s Software Program and sign in using your details for further processing. Prioritizing the desktop site may not be ranked as one of the top but considering the fact that iOS 9 has narrowed the process down to a single tap is impressive. If you are running iOS 9 beta, try it and let us know how you liked it.
