iOS 9 beta testers can’t leave App Store reviews

Apple has made the decision to remove the ability to leave App Store reviews on devices running the iOS 9 beta in an effort to protect developers from unreliable criticism from those running unfinished beta software. As you would imagine, not all apps work that well on the yet to be finished version of iOS but that hasn’t stopped some from leaving negative reviews.
The main issue is that there isn’t really anything a developer can do to fix apps for beta software as they are unable to submit patches until iOS 9 is fully released, meaning any issues that pop up for beta users won’t be fixed until Apple officially rolls out the software to all iPhones and iPads.

iOS 9 is also the first version of the software to be tested publicly, meaning that just about anyone could load up the unfinished OS and start complaining about glitches and bugs in apps that can’t yet be updated for iOS 9.
According to a report from Apple Insider, many developers have seen drops in App Store ratings due to this new public testing system. It seems that this was causing enough of a problem for Apple to do something about it, though for the time being, it is not known if Apple plans to remove reviews from iOS 9 beta users left before the feature was removed.

    iOS 9 Public Beta 2:

Apple has pushed out the second beta after some two weeks of releasing the iOS 9 Public Beta 1. iOS 9 is first OS from Apple that is available for pre-release testing to non-developer users. The major features that the latest OS introduced include Apple Music, Beats 1, new folders on iPad, and two-factor authentication. The latest iOS 9 public beta 2 further adds:

Apple announced iOS 9 at WWDC keynote earlier in June. This year Apple’s mobile operating system focuses on functionality and performance improvements. Bringing the long-awaited multitasking features to iPad, iOS 9 also brings in some other changes in apps like News, Maps, smarter Siri with deep search capabilities, and an all-new iCloud-based Notes app. The OS brings faster performance, added functionality, user-focused features, Picture in Picture video playback, and more.
iOS 9 Public Beta 2 compatibility:

iOS 9 is compatible with the following devices:

    • iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 5s, iPhone 5c, iPhone 5, iPhone 4S
    • iPad Air 2, iPad Air, iPad 4, iPad mini, iPad 3, iPad 2
    • iPad mini 3, Retina iPad mini (iPad mini 2), iPad mini

iOS 9 Adds New Block Feature In Safari That Prevents ‘iOS Crash Reports’

Scammers have always been a vulnerability in internet or cloud security. They deal in exploiting personal data and using it for their specific intended purpose. However, its noticed that Apple’s latest beta firmware update for iOS 9 adds support in Safari to block certain popups that keeps reappearing without any consent of the user. To be precise and clear, Apple has focused on security through their browser – a gateway for spammers accessing your information.

The iOS and iPhone success has led to a direct or proportionate increase in inauthentic users from gaining access to your device. No matter how many they be in numbers, it seems Apple has stepped in to intervene in the security loop. This feature of blocking popups have been available in desktop browsers for a long time and Safari is the new host too. Roll down for more details on the topic.
‘Block Alert’ Feature In iOS 9 Safari Prevents Popups For Better Security

To be a bit more specific over the whole scammer scenario, there was a new attack discovered recently – call center scam. It makes websites show an iOS error message defining that there might be some issue and requires assistance to call on the given number. This creates chances of the person on the other end of the line to hitch your credit card details on the iCloud or snug numbers out of you. The route this scam chooses is via the error message that popups and takes you aback and all conscious of the dilemma.

This is where Apple kicks in to prevent potential popups being showed to you on a specific website. The new block feature is released in iOS 9’s forth developer and second public beta. You might have come across it if you’re running iOS 9 beta. If you don’t have iOS 9 beta version yet, you can opt for it through Apple’s beta software program by registering in with your Apple ID details.
Safari will take note of the popups reappearing, a ‘Block Alert’ will be prompted for the following popup. You will be displayed with certain amount of information in the alert and you can Block those alerts with a single tap. Presently without the Block Alert feature present in iOS 9, there is no other way to stop popups from showing. If you can deal with it for a while and do not want to upgrade to iOS 9 beta, iOS 9 will be officially launched later this fall, probably in September. This is it for now, folks. Let us know if popups bug you through any mean.

How To Download, Install iOS 9 Public Beta On iPhone, iPad

Here’s a complete guide on how you can download and install iOS 9 Public Beta on iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. The beta is absolutely free to download and try, and getting up and running with it is just a matter of patience and a few minutes.

Download And Install iOS 9 Public Beta On iPhone, iPad, iPod touch

    1. Backup your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch using iCloud or iTunes in case anything goes wrong during the process.
iCloud: Navigate to Settings > iCloud > Backup, toggle the ‘iCloud Backup’ switch to the ON position and then tap on ‘Back Up Now.’

iTunes: Plug your iOS device to your PC or Mac, launch iTunes, click on your device’s name on the top left hand corner, then click on ‘This Computer,’ then ‘Back Up Now’ under the Backups section. Refer to the screenshot below for clarification.

    2. Open beta.apple.com using Safari on your iOS device and tap on the ‘Sign Up’ button if you haven’t signed up already, or ‘Sign In’ if you’re already a member of the Apple Beta Software Program.

    3. Enter your iCloud / Apple ID credentials as shown in the screenshot below and then tap on the ‘Sign In’ button.

    4. Tap on the blue ‘Accept’ button at the bottom. Once done, you’re now enrolled into the Apple Beta Software Program, and all set to install iOS 9 Public Beta on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch.

    5. Tap on ‘Enroll Your Devices’ at the top.

    6. Scroll down and tap on the blue ‘Download profile’ button and install the profile on your iOS device.

    7. Click on ‘Install’ at the top right hand corner, and follow the on-screen prompts to complete the process. You will be required to restart your device, so tap on ‘Restart’ when prompted.

    8. Once your device boots up, navigate to Settings > General > Software Update, and over here the iOS 9 Public Beta will be waiting for your download approval. Simply tap on ‘Download and Install’ to initiate the download process.

iOS 9 Public Beta is over 1GB in size, therefore it will take some time to download. And since this is beta software by all means, therefore expect a few crashes and rough corners in your daily usage. If you’re asking us, we’d recommend that you install the iOS 9 Public Beta on a test device, and not your primary one, because you never know when things can take a sharp turn for the worse. And in case that does happen for some reason, you can always downgrade to iOS 8.4, the current public release of Apple’s mobile software.
If you do happen to try out iOS 9 Public Beta on your device, then do let us know how your experience has been thus far. We love to hear from our readers.

Video: Apple Fanboys Made To Believe Android Is iOS 9, They Absolutely Love It

iOS 9 is due for release this fall, and on the face of it, the OS looks exactly like iOS 8 until or unless you look deep into the finer details. But a bunch of YouTubers set out with a Chinese iPhone 6 Plus clone running Android and confronted Apple fanboys, telling them that the device is running iOS 9. And guess what? They fall for it, and even praised the capabilities of Cupertino’s next-gen mobile OS.

The entire video is actually quite hilarious and the reactions are nonetheless amusing at best. Users even praise how buttery smooth “iOS 9″ is, which of course, is Android in reality, which is a very clear indication that some people (read: Apple fanboys) will believe anything at face value. A rather daunting fact, but there you have it.
We all know that an iPhone 6 Plus doesn’t run Android, which makes a huge point here clear that the device in question is in fact a Chinese copy, which we mentioned before, mimicking Apple’s 5.5-inch smartphone.
Check out the video below and see for yourself how it all goes down.

The real deal – iOS 9 – is set to go live this fall for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch users. Apple’s upcoming mobile OS is packed to the rafters with a bunch of new features and aesthetic tweaks. The Cupertino is betting big on the release in fact, so much so that it even supports the iPhone 4s all the way up to the latest and greatest in its mobile hardware lineup.
iOS 9 even has a smaller footprint than the current iOS 8 release, which means that users with base storage devices (16GB) can make the upgrade quite easily when the OS goes live later this year.
On the battery front, Apple has implemented under the hood tweaks so that our devices last longer than before, with a new Low Power Mode in the Settings app adding an extra hour of battery life to an iPhone. All this is done by turning off unneeded background processes and push email services.
Currently, iOS 9 is in beta phases, with pre-release builds available to both developers and general users alike for testing. If you don’t have an Apple Developer Account and want to give iOS 9 a spin on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch, then be sure to follow our guide posted here to jump right into the action: How To Download, Install iOS 9 Public Beta On iPhone, iPad.
Already running iOS 9 beta on your device? Do let us know what you think about it.

Download: iOS 9 Beta 5 For iPhone, iPad Now Available

iOS 9 beta 5 download for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch is now available for registered developers enrolled in Apple’s Developer Program. We have all the details on how you can update right away, including the changes which the new beta update brings with it.

The fifth beta of Apple’s latest and greatest mobile software for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch arrives exactly after two weeks when the fourth beta was released. And on the face of things, it’s pretty evident that iOS 9 beta 5 is a pure bug fix and performance enhancing release, nothing more.
If you have one of the previous betas installed on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch, then you grab the latest release right away without having to connect it to a computer. Simply launch the Settings app on your iOS device, navigate to General > Software Update to grab the latest pre-release build over the air. We suggest every user who has installed iOS 9 beta before to update right away, as releases such as these tend to bring with them a lot of fixes, making the overall usage experience a far better one than before.
Where can you download iOS 9 beta from? We’re glad you asked. Simply head over to the Apple Developer Program website and you can grab the beta bits from there. Remember, to access and download pre-release software, you have to pony up $99 annually, which is not much, considering you get access to big releases before anyone else.

Despite being a major release, iOS 9 supports an array of devices, with the now ancient iPhone 4s too making the cut in the list of supported hardware, along with the iPad 2 as well as the original non-Retina display iPad mini.

Apart from releasing developer focussed beta builds, Apple also has a public beta program running alongside too, allowing average users to jump right into the action as well. If you’re willing to give iOS 9 a shot on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch, then simply follow our guide posted here: How To Download, Install iOS 9 Public Beta On iPhone, iPad.
We recommend that you don’t install beta builds on devices which are your daily drivers, since they can be very unstable at times. But given how much stable iOS 9 is in its current form, we’d go as far as saying that you should give it a shot at least once on one of your devices just to see how the future of iOS looks like.
We’ll report back on the list of changes as soon as we find them, so stay tuned.

iOS 9 Public Beta 3 For iPhone, iPad, iPod touch Now Available

iOS 9 Public Beta 3 for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch is now available to download for users enrolled in Apple’s Beta Software Program. The update is absolutely free, and we recommend that users should download it straight away without any sort of hesitation.

When Apple announced iOS 9 at WWDC 2015, it promised that it would make its latest operating system for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch available as a free download for those who wish to test it out and improve it, through a public beta program for non-developers. In July, Apple fulfilled that promise and iOS 9 was made available to the public to try out absolutely free. And now, Apple has seeded Public Beta 3 to testers, further proving that Apple is frantically working behind the scene to enhance its big release for mobile devices.
Just like the developer oriented betas Apple has released so far, the process for updating Public Beta releases is exactly the same. Launch the Settings app on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch, then navigate to General > Software Update to download the latest build. Make sure you’re connected to WiFi to kick things into overdrive, otherwise the download won’t take place.

The sole aim of providing Public Beta builds is to gather more usage data, which in turn will allow Apple to further polish its mobile operating system before pushing it out to the end user this fall. If you’re a tester, then we highly recommend that you send Apple crash reports as well by using the Feedback Assistant tool, which ships as part of the iOS 9 Public Beta.
iOS 9 Public Beta 3 comes with the same changes as iOS 9 beta 5, which was released just a while back. Hence, you get the same tweaks and enhancements as the developer oriented beta, so don’t expect anything extra or less in this release for the public.
Haven’t downloaded iOS 9 Public Beta yet on your device? Simply follow our guide outlined here on how to do just that: How To Download, Install iOS 9 Public Beta On iPhone, iPad. Like we mentioned before, the Public Beta build of iOS 9 is absolutely free to download and try, so go ahead if you haven’t given it a shot already.
If you do happen to give iOS 9 Public Beta 3 a spin on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch, then be sure to let us know in the comments section what you think about the release so far. We love to hear from you guys.

Download: 15 New iOS 9 Wallpapers For Any Device

The 15 new beta iOS 9 wallpapers from iPhone, iPad are now available to download, and you can use them on any device you may like. The wallpapers are absolutely free, and we have got all of them in one place.

iOS 9 beta 5 and iOS 9 Public Beta 3 were released yesterday to developers and non-developers, respectively. The release brings with it a bunch of new features and changes that will likely entice users to try out the new beta software, and to our luck, Apple’s new beta mobile OS comes with 15 brand new wallpapers which you can download right away.
Apple started a trend of extremely minimal wallpapers when it released the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus alongside the final build of iOS 8 late last year. This time around, Apple is keen on making the same strides with a bunch of new background images for the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch in iOS 9 beta.
All of the wallpapers come attached with a resolution of 1242×2208, which means that they are parallax ready, and you can expect those depth and motion effects to take place on your home screen without any problems. In fact, the wallpapers are big enough to easily fit on a 1080p display. But if you have a panel that exceeds the full HD resolution then we suggest you should stay back from the wallpapers for now. But hey, you can always use them on your smartphone or tablet.

There are two routes you can take to download the wallpapers. Either download them all as one single zipped file which you can find here, or by clicking on each individual wallpaper below to reveal its full size and subsequently download it on to your device. The choice is yours, and either way you’ll end up with the new background images in your possession.

The final build of iOS 9 is all set to be released this fall alongside new hardware – the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus. Apple’s new mobile operating system for iPhones, iPads and iPod touches is packed to the gills with a host of new features, further enhancing the already great iOS experience on mobile devices. The OS is currently in beta, but is available to download for developers who are enrolled in Apple’s Developer Program, or public testers who signed up for Cupertino’s Beta Software Program.
If you wish to give iOS 9 a try without a developer account, then be sure to check out our guide posted here: How To Download, Install iOS 9 Public Beta On iPhone, iPad.
Also be sure to download the El Capitan wallpaper for your device: Download: OS X El Capitan Beta 6 Glacier Wallpaper For Any Device.

iOS 9 will switch to mobile data if WiFi plays up

Apple is currently working on iOS 9, which will launch towards the end of October alongside the new set of iPhones for this year. We’ve already got wind of a few new features heading our way thanks to the public beta test, though Apple still has plenty more to share. Today the company revealed its new WiFi tool, which will automatically switch your iPhone over to a cellular data connection should your WiFi be acting up.
The new tool can be found within the latest iOS 9 beta, which launched yesterday. WiFi Assist could end up helping users on unreliable public connections, such as those found on trains, at events or in busy areas.

iOS 9 still has just over a month before it goes public so there is still time for Apple to make a few more tweaks. We know that Apple is planning its own news app, the Safari browser will support adblock, Siri will be improved a bit in order to stay competitive against the likes of Cortana and Google Now.
Apple Maps, which was introduced back in iOS 6, will also be improved, with new public transit details and better route tracking. You can grab the iOS 9 public beta now but you would be better off waiting until next month at Apple’s official launch.

Video: iOS 9 Beta 5 Vs iOS 8.4 – Performance Comparison

iOS 9 beta 5 was released just yesterday, and brings with it the usual bunch of bug fixes and performance enhancements. Apart from that, Apple has packed in a few visible changes, such as the addition of 15 new wallpapers and more. But the big question is: how fast iOS 9 beta 5 is compared to the final build of iOS 8.4. A newly surfaced YouTube video aims to answer that very same question.

iOS 8.4 was released back in July and brings with it Apple Music and a bunch of bug fixes as well. But the release focusses more on the music bit, rather than any other significant changes. iOS 9 beta 5 on the other hand is, as you already know, pre-release software, currently a work in progress, and has some way to go before it’s deemed ready for prime time use. But still, in its current form, iOS 9 beta is very stable on a device such as the iPhone 6 and iPhone 5s, but stutters to death at times on an iPhone 6 Plus thanks to those extra pixels flying around on the display. With that in mind, how do the two releases compare with one another in the performance department running on an iPhone 5s? This video might have your answer:

In the boot test, the iOS 9 beta 5 is a clear winner over iOS 8.4, with the former booting up just a second faster. Then we have the usual suspects in a test such as this: launching stock apps, and again, the difference is speed is barely noticeable. We’ll even go on a whim saying that iOS 9 beta 5 is only just slightly slower than iOS 8.4 beta in some places, mainly because it’s beta software. Apart from that things look pretty zippy on both releases.
Apps such as YouTube load slightly faster on iOS 8.4, and that’s an obvious fact why that is so: because Google’s video streaming app is not yet optimized for iOS 9. But we’re sure we’ll see different results as soon as the Big G pushes out an iOS 9 optimized app in the near future, hopefully come fall time.
iOS 9 beta 5 is the latest pre-release build to come out of Cupertino’s gates. And with a few more betas to go before Apple signs off the piece of software as stable enough for prime time, it would be exciting to see how things are going to be like once apps are optimized thoroughly for the company’s new mobile operating system.
If you want to give iOS 9 beta a shot right now, then check out: How To Download, Install iOS 9 Public Beta On iPhone, iPad.

Group iOS 9 Notifications On A Per App Basis – How To

Here’s how you can group iOS 9 notifications on a per app basis, making it easier to spot the important ones right off the bat.

By default, and for reasons unknown, iOS 9 makes a list of your notifications in chronological order. Now you must be thinking: but iOS 8 does the same, doesn’t it? Well yes, it does. But the problem with iOS 9 is that it does not break down those notifications on a per app basis, piling up everything on top of each other in the order they arrived. If you’re like us, you’d prefer to have your notifications broken down on a per app basis, just like how they are on iOS 8 by default, allowing us to skip through the nonsense and get right to the important bits without having to concentrate hard enough on that display.
Group iOS 9 Notifications On A Per App Basis

    1. Launch the Settings app in iOS 9.
    2. Look for an entry labelled ‘Notifications’ and then tap on it.

    3. There’s a toggle switch at the top labelled ‘Group By App.’ Simply toggle it on and you’re good to go.

With a simple flick of a switch your notifications will now be grouped on a per app basis in Notification Center, making things how they’re supposed to be from the get-go.
The default settings are only good if you’re a diehard timekeeper and want to know when that Instagram ‘like’ poured in and after how long you got a ‘revine’ on Vine when a specific friend commenter on your status on Facebook. But sadly enough, most of us aren’t that sort, therefore we like the vanilla setup on our devices, and want our notifications well broken down into groups.
iOS 9 is a massive upgrade over iOS 8 and comes packed with a ton of new features. And as Apple pushes out new betas on a bi-weekly basis, the list of feature additions keep on growing, hence users can expect a lot more this fall when the final build goes live for consumers.
iOS 9 is currently in its beta phase and is available to download for developers and the average public as well via Apple’s Beta Software Program initiative. If you’re looking to try out iOS 9 Public Beta on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch, then be sure to check out: How To Download, Install iOS 9 Public Beta On iPhone, iPad.
We wouldn’t recommend installing pre-release software on your primary device, and suggest doing so on spare hardware, as beta releases can be very unstable at times.
    You’ve been warned!

Redditer Discovered Hidden Feature in iOS 9 and Mac OS X El Capitan

We got a lot of information out of what to expect from iOS 9 and El Capitan this fall at Apple’s WWDC in June. Even so, developers are said to be good at discovering Apple’s ‘hidden’ new features, but this time around, it seems that one of them, who I think is actually useful, was actually discovered by someone else.
A redditer going by the name of homeboi808 seems to have stumbled upon a feature who went on unnoticed so far. On both iOS 9 and El Capitan, if you tap on a flight number in either the Mail, Messages or Notes app, the OS’ will work the flight out and give you a flight path overview, along with all information about that flight. This includes arrival, departure times, possible delays and even airport terminal details.

It seems that Apple has added a built-in feature that detects and reacts to gestures when it finds a flight number. However, that needs to adhere to the actual flight number style, so don’t expect it to do the same with just anything you type in. Even so, the flight number needs to be valid in order to get information about it.

Even so, the feature is really helpful when you’re expecting to pick someone up from the airport or are planning a journey. Getting up-to-date information about your flights is a must from my point of view. What do you think?
Thank you BGR for providing us with this information

Former Apple Designer Reimagines The iPhone Lock Screen, And It Looks Gorgeous

The iPhone’s lock screen has been the same as far as we can take our mind back in time. Sure, it has seen many cosmetic upgrades over time, such as the ability to access the device’s camera without unlocking your device, but the basic outlook has always remained the same, even on the yet to be released iOS 9 software for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch.

See, the thing is, we don’t have any beef against Apple regarding the iOS lock screen. It’s great. It works. And it gets the job done. But, in all honesty, we believe that it’s the right time for Apple to step things up a notch regarding how the lock screen actually works, rather than just showing notifications in chronological order to the user as well as the time up top.
Today, we have come across an iPhone lock screen concept that has instantly turned on our drool switch. And the best thing is: the concept comes from an ex-Apple designer, Louie Mantia, who worked under the iTunes design team, before taking off from the company in 2011.
The concept features a very straightforward design approach, and makes the notifications look more meaningful, compared to how they are presented in their current form. Instead of showing notifications in chronological order, in which things can easily get lost over a passage of few hours, you get a simple and elegant icon of the app for which the notification is available. And to top things off, you get the old faithful weather update at the bottom of the lock screen.

While the concept looks entirely slick in our books, it’s highly likely that Apple won’t jump ship and go ahead in making this a reality. We know for sure that with iOS 9 we won’t be getting such a thing, so don’t hold your breath for it just yet.
Speaking of iOS 9, Apple’s upcoming mobile operating system for smartphones and tablets is set to go live this fall along with the release of two new iPhones from Cupertino. While there are a ton of changes under the hood for consumers and developers alike, we really wished Apple had went for a drastic makeover this time around, breaking away slightly from its usual design ethos.
What are your thoughts on the iPhone lock screen concept above? Do you think Apple should turn it into a reality or do you prefer how things are in their current form? Do let us know in the comments section below.

iOS 9.1 Makes An Early Appearance In Our Web Activity Log – Screenshots

iOS 9 is set for release this fall, along with a brand new duo of iPhones from Cupertino. But already, we’re seeing that Apple is working on the next big update for its upcoming mobile operating system in the form of iOS 9.1.

iOS 9 is currently in beta and is still a few weeks away from being released to the general public. But if today’s revelation is to be believed, then it’s pretty clear that Apple is working on the next big update for iOS 9 already. Currently, we have absolutely no clue what the update will bring with itself, and if past releases are anything to go by, then it’s highly likely that iOS 9.1 is going to be a major bug fix release to compliment the iOS 9 update.
In our very own activity Web log, iOS 9.1 has made multiple appearances just recently, and interestingly, the update was running on an iPhone.

Apart from the above mentioned tidbit, we also have information on where the visit originated from. And you guessed it, it’s from California, the home of Apple’s headquarters. So it’s safe to assume that the visit is in fact a legit one, and iOS 9.1 is definitely under testing as we speak.

Like we mentioned before, iOS 9 is all set for release this fall along with new hardware in the form of the iPhone 6s and the iPhone 6s Plus. The update brings with it tons of great new features, which add up to refine the overall mobile experience that Apple has been delivering for a long while now. With iOS 9, Apple is hoping to pump life back into the iPad as well with great new multitasking features such as Split View and Picture-in-Picture, making the Cupertino tablet a great device for consuming multiple arrays of content on the fly.
It’s highly likely that the iOS 9.1 update will be pushed out to end users a few months after iOS 9 has found its new home on our devices, and whenever that happens, we’ll have all the details covered right here from start to finish, so stay tuned for that.
iOS 9 is available to developers to test out and the general public as well through Cupertino’s Beta Program. If you want to take iOS 9 for a spin right now on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch, then be sure to check out: How To Download, Install iOS 9 Public Beta On iPhone, iPad.
Be sure to let us know in the comments section below what you think about iOS 9.1 making an early appearance.

Users Start Receiving iOS 9 Upgrade Alerts Ahead of Its Official Release

Some users in the UK and US have reported receiving iOS 9 update alerts two days ahead of its scheduled release on Wednesday, September 9.

Several developers confirm that Apple has started sending out iOS 9 update alerts to registered developers. iOS 9 Golden Master build will be released to developers on September 9. While many confirm this alert, it seems like a glitch in Apple’s servers. Developers have received the same official-looking message that arrives with every new iOS version, “A new iOS update is now available. Please update from the iOS 9 beta.” Registered devs have reported receiving this notification on both the iPad and the iPhone and it doesn’t appear to be region-specific too.
Apple servers seemed to have sent out the notification to developers in all regions, at the same time. “Those in the UK have received this message on Sept 7, although many developers in the United States saw an upgrade notice on Sept 6, 2015,” reports product-reviews. No reason to get excited though, as after receiving this notification, when the developers check for an update to download, there isn’t one.

Yep, I got this this morning. No update. Just bug. https://twitter.com/allthingsiphone/status/640560689828855809 …
    · Glen Ellen, CA, United States

Apple released iOS 9 beta 5 to registered developers over a month ago and is going to roll out the final build after its “Hey Siri” event on September 9, this Wednesday. While the iOS 9 GM will go live on Wednesday for developers, users will have to wait for another week or two before they could be able to download iOS 9 on their own iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. If the notification made you think of Apple sending out some surprise releases this time, calm down as it’s going to follow the schedule, as planned.
To read about all the products that Apple is expected to showcase this week at the Bill Graham auditorium, read What to Expect from Apple’s “Hey Siri, Give Us a Hint” Event.
