    LawBreakers [PC]

Cliff Bleszinski’s next game has been revealed

Gears of War creator, Cliff Bleszinski, has announced his brand new game today. It’s called ‘LawBreakers’ and is the début game from Boss Key Productions. LawBreakers is set in a futuristic world that has been changed by the destruction of the moon.
The moon’s destruction is an event that went down in history as ‘The Shattering’, and it drastically changed the earth’s gravity. Now, with the help of technology in the year 2105, humans can manipulate gravity, though obviously some of this tech has fallen in to the hands of gangs.

LawBreakers will be an arena shooter where 5v5 teams of cops and criminals fight to the death. Each side has ‘subfactions, there will be “tons of guns” and the game will be free to play. Formerly LawBreakers was referred to as ‘Project Bluestreak’.

You can see the announcement trailer above, or you can watch the livestream, HERE. LawBreakers is set to launch some time in 2016.

LawBreakers gets its first gameplay trailer

Cliff Bleszinski’s next game with new studio, Boss Key Productions was revealed earlier this week. Set in a futuristic world where we have the technology to defy gravity, LawBreakers is set to be a 5 versus 5 free to play arena shooter, sort of like Overwatch from Blizzard.
While at the time of announcement we did have a cinematic trailer for the multiplayer game, we now have some proper gameplay to set our eyes on thanks to a new 60 frames per second trailer, which you can see below:

The gameplay trailer gives us a better idea of what to expect from the game, with a slightly cartoonish aesthetic. The classes we have seen so far all look fairly fun and varied too. The game isn’t coming out until 2016 though, so we still have quite a wait before we can play this for ourselves.

In the meantime, Overwatch, Blizzard’s own arena shooter, is set to launch finally later this year, following its announcement back in 2014.

Check Out 22 Minutes Of Lawbreakers Gameplay

If you like arena shooters and you haven’t been at PAX Prime, you might be very interested to check out this 22 minutes long video of Lawbreakers gameplay.

It’s actually a series of 9 seconds long clips strung together, but it still gives a pretty good idea at how Cliff Bleszinski’s new project is going to play.

The man himself spoke during the convention in Seattle with Gamespot, explaining more of Lawbreakers. We highlighted the most relevant parts of the video interview:
It’s a sci-fi FPS set 100 years in the future. It has two sides, organized law enforcement against organized gangs. We’re going to have low gravity, zero gravity environments, grappling hooks, jet packs and some things we haven’t revealed yet.
Right now, this character based, 5vs5 shooter is kinda blowing up. What differentiates us is the art style first and foremost, then the variable gravity for movement, but we didn’t want to do a MOBA.

MOBA is great, but good luck getting one out right now!
Bleszinski then added that the grappling hook mechanic is actually more similar to SpiderMan’s web slinging, since you can gain momentum and swing yourself around with it.
UE4 powered Lawbreakers is heading to PC in 2016, but there will be alpha/beta tests earlier than that as confirmed by Boss Key Production’s Rohan Rivas.

LawBreakers DX12 Supported & Now A Timed Steam Exclusive; System Specs Revealed (GTX 970 Recommended)

The upcoming FPS from Boss Key Productions, Lawbreakers, will no longer be free-to-play (F2P) and is now exclusive to Steam at launch. Furthermore, the game’s system requirements have been revealed, and the title will support DX12.

Boss Key founder, Cliff Bleszinski, and his team announced the news during a panel at the Game Developers Conference. According Bleszinski, the F2P model didn’t “fit” with the game any longer.
“As the game continued to take shape, we realised free-to-play wasn’t the right fit for what we’re building,” explained Bleszinski. “LawBreakers is a competitive game at heart and that means balance is a big priority to me, my team, and our community. Using a digital premium model helps ensure an even playing field by giving fans access to every available role without any barriers.”

Beat gravity into submission in LawBreakers, an exhilarating role-based First Person Shooter where the laws of physics can be shattered, creating unprecedented gravity-based combat in an ever-evolving bloody arena.
Master a cast of anti-heroes to conduct a savage symphony of vertical role-based combat across a rebuilt American landscape in this mature multiplayer FPS from industry veteran Cliff Bleszinski and Boss Key Productions.

Lawbreakers a timed Steam exclusive and a GTX 970 is recommended

During the panel it was announced that the shooter will now be exclusive to Steam when it releases. The game’s Steam page is up, and mentions a release this summer.
The Lawbreaker’s steam page also reveals the game’s minimum and recommended system requirements. We have included both down below.

    Minimum:
OS: Windows 7, Windows 8.1, Windows 10 (64-bit versions only)
Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo E6600
    Memory: 4 GB RAM
    Graphics: Nvidia 460 (1GB)
    DirectX: Version 11
    Network: Broadband Internet connection
    Storage: 12 GB available space
Additional Notes: Minimum specs listed are based on pre-alpha game build and subject to change.
    Recommended:
OS: Windows 7, Windows 8.1, Windows 10 (64-bit versions only)
    Processor: Intel Core i7 -4790
    Memory: 16 GB RAM
    Graphics: Nvidia GTX 970
    DirectX: Version 11
    Network: Broadband Internet connection
    Storage: 12 GB available space
Additional Notes: Recommended specs optimized for 90FPS. With a high end card like a Nvidia GTX 980 Ti the game should run at 144hz. Game supports up to DX12.
As can be seen, Boss Key Productions recommends quite the amount of memory – 16GB. In general, modern titles would only require around 8GB of Ram, and we wonder why this hefty amount would be required.

Cliff Bleszinski’s Lawbreakers is no longer F2P, exclusive to PC

Last year, famed game developer, Cliff Bleszinski, announced his new game, a multiplayer shooter called Lawbreakers. This game has largely been seen as competition for Blizzard’s Overwatch and was originally pitched as a free to play title but that is no longer the case, the game will also be exclusive to Steam on the PC.
The announcement was made at the Game Developer Conference this week (via PCGamer), where Bleszinski noted that the team “didn’t want to go down that road of buying energy, or other sleazy tactics”. The game’s art director also mentioned that the team was focussing on how to make money fairly with the free to play model that it became a distraction for the main game.

In all, the switch from free to play to a paid-for product should hopefully work out for the best for the game and its future community. The game is all set to launch on Steam ‘Summer 2016’, so it is still a few months off and while the game won’t be free, that doesn’t mean Lawbreakers won’t feature a similar microtransaction model to CS:GO, with item skins and cases.
Finally, Boss Key Productions also announced that there would be no third-party launcher for Lawbreakers on the PC and instead, it will just run through Steam.

Mais um trailer para os Lawbreakers, notícia principal seria o facto de vir para PS4 também.

Ok – here’s where we all are going. LawBreakers is coming out this year on PS4 as a digital-only title. Discs are like voicemail, so ten years ago. It’s important to know that something that’s important for the studio and me is to create a game with no season passes and no “pay-to-win” mechanics at a price that is what we feel is fair to players. It will be $29.99. We don’t want to fragment our playbase with silo’d season pass BS, nor do we want to pollute matchmaking with “pay-to-win” incentives. We want to create a game ecosystem that’s all about highly skilled players competing on even playing fields, and a landscape for average players to aspire to become better. More details on launch date soon. Right, PR?
So, in conclusion, I’m excited to ship this bad boy and get it into your grubby hands later this year. Remember to look up!

E lá se foi o estúdio do Cliff B.
Sinceramente, acho que não perdemos nada de especial.
E este gajo sempre me pareceu um "douchbag".
