    iPad Air 3

iPad Air 3 to Launch in March 2016 Without 3D Touch

KGI Securities’ Ming-Chi Kuo has released a new research note revealing some of the expected highlights of iPad Air 3.

iPad Air 3 to share the stage with Apple Watch and iPhone 6c in March 2016:

According to a report from KGI Securities, Apple will be launching iPad Air 3 in the first half of 2016, possibly in March. Apple usually releases new tablets at the end of the year, something that hasn’t happened this year. Apple launched a new addition to the family, the 12.9 inch iPad Pro, at the iPhone event in September. The refresh to iPad Air 2 is thus expected to come early next year.
It was believed that iPad Air 3 will sport Apple’s pressure-sensitive 3D Touch technology. The upcoming 9.7-inch iPad, however, will not be able to sport 3D Touch due to supply issues. The report claims that the 3D Touch production is still below 30 percent, making it highly unlikely for Apple to feature in the upcoming tablet.
We forecast that iPad Air 3 will opt not to feature 3D Touch because of production issues. While we think the 3D Touch supply chain produced more to avoid shortages in the early stages, slower end-product demand and improved back-end assembly yield have resulted in the current high inventory. As 1Q16 demand looks to slow on seasonality and competition from other brands’ new models, we believe 3D Touch supply chain capacity utilization is currently lower than peak level of 30%, and that will last through 1Q16.
    Advertisements

The report also forecasts that the upcoming iPhone 7 will use the same 3D Touch technology as the iPhone 6s:
    iPhone 7 in 2016F to use 3D Touch solution of similar technology & structure as iPhone 6s;
3D Touch to improve user experience of touch panel long term, but won’t contribute much to near-term shipments. We think only more apps supporting 3D Touch and continued improvement of 3D Touch UI design will support increased use of 3D Touch. 3D Touch one of the most severe production bottlenecks in iPhone 6s supply chain; current inventory higher than other general components.
Apple could unveil the upcoming iPad Air 3 at the event rumored for March 2016 along a new 4-inch iPhone 6c and the second generation Apple Watch. At this year’s March event, Apple showcased the 12-inch Retina MacBook and the release and pricing information of Apple Watch.

iPad Air 3 rumored to feature four speakers, rear-facing LED flash

The rumor mill has been uncharacteristically quiet regarding one of Apple's upcoming products, the third-generation iPad Air. Given the declining state of the tablet market and the fact that it's been well over a year since the arrival of the iPad Air 2, the stalemate isn't without merit.
Nevertheless, a recent report from French website Nowhereelse.fr includes a "leaked" design sketch from a reliable source of what may very well be the iPad Air 3. The drawing suggests the next 9.7-inch iPad will include four speakers, much like the iPad Pro. The image also shows what's likely to be an LED flash to accompany the rear camera.
Adding two additional speakers for "proper" surround sound is something critics have been requesting for some time. A rear-facing LED flash? Not so much. If accurate, the state of the tablet market may very well be dictating this addition.
Tablets aren't exactly the go-to device for photographers yet sadly, there are those among us that use tablets as their primary camera. Adding a rear flash and beefing up the camera with optics on par with the latest smartphones could be one way for Apple to battle declining sales.
Apple's third-generation iPad Air is expected to break cover at a media event scheduled for March, perhaps alongside the rumored iPhone 6c and the second-gen Apple Watch.

The iPad Air 3 To Launch In March And Follow The iPad Pro In Features & Specifications

With the focus of the mobile world on upcoming Android launches, things have been relatively quiet over at the Apple camp. Given its preference to dedicate events towards sole product launches, Apple has started to struggle to balance all of its products in one fiscal year, with several gadgets such as the iPad Air 3 waiting for upgrades. Speaking of the iPad Air 2‘s successor, things might get better for those who’re waiting for the tablet we’ve learned today. Head on below to find out more.
Apple Looking To Launch The iPad Air 3 In March; Tablet Could Resemble The iPad Pro

Apple’s upcoming March event has quite a few expectations stacked as of now, with the Cupertino company expected to launch the next iteration in its Apple Watch lineup and an all new 4 inch iPhone 5se. But these devices really don’t match up to the top tier brand that the company believes itself to be. All of this could change with the launch of the iPad Air 3 in March as well as an update to the lineup has been due for quite a while now.
The iPad Air 2 was a very well executed product as the tablet managed to breathe fresh interest into Apple’s tablet lineup. The overall design of the device, coupled with the A8X on board managed to provide top tier performance with aesthetics to boost and Apple chose to launch the 12.9 inch iPad Pro as a result. Now, in March we should expect the iPad Air 3, coming potentially with the A9X on board.

    Advertisements

As to what changes the device might be bringing in terms of design, according to some highly susceptible speculation, the iPad Air 3 should be expected to follow its larger cousin. A sketch obtained by long time leaker Steve, of NWE, claims to show the iPad Air 3 and there are several changes on board this image as well. Two major ones are the presence of four speaker panels and a camera flash, both of which stress at the increasing importance of multimedia in the iPad, as well as tablets all around.
That being said, the sketch above could be a reproduction of the iPad Pro as well, so nothing can be said concretely about the tablet’s design. There’s been a mention of the Apple Pencil as well, so we could end up seeing a more uniform approach from Apple towards its top tablet lineup. Apple’s March event is also expected to debut the iPhone 5se and the Apple Watch 2.
The former has managed to gain an impressive roster of specifications, with the Apple A9, NFC and other features on board, making it an impressive offering in the smaller screen smartphone segment. The latter is expected to receive limited focus, with software upgrades to also get some facetime. Thoughts? Let us know what you think in the comments section below and stay tuned for the latest updates.

iPad Air 3 Reported To Pack A 4K Display And The Same Amount Of RAM As Apple’s Flagship Slate

During Apple’s 2015 conference, the tech giant unveiled a gargantuan sized slate, but now with iPad Air 3, the company is attempting to tone things down, at least in the size department. In the specifications department however, iPad Air 3 is expected to pack the same amount of specs as its 12.9 inch counterpart, with a tad bit difference, here and there.

iPad Air 3 Reported To Be Rocking A 4K Display As Well As 4GB Of RAM

Previously, we reported that iPad Air 3 could be launching as early as March, and while the specifications of the upcoming slate have been kept in the dark, Taiwanese sources state that the upcoming tablet will be packing a 4K display, along with 4GB of RAM. While the following is yet to be confirmed, the slate will most likely feature memory that will be running at DDR4 speeds. As for the screen size, Apple could be retaining the same size as it has with the previous generation of its iPad Air lineup, meaning that iPad Air 3 could be rocking a 9.7 inch screen with a 4K resolution.
Apple’s iPad Pro featured a resolution of 2732 x 2048 pixels, meaning that the PPI density of iPad Air 3 will exponentially increase, assuming the report turns out to be true. If this does manage to happen, then the company will have to make sure that the product is packing a lot of processing power, and we have to say that after witnessing the magic of A9X, we would not expect anything less to be present inside it. Time and time again, we have seen that Apple has advanced extremely well in harmoniously optimizing its software with its hardware, making it a cut above the rest of the platforms in some manner or the other.
    Advertisements

A9X features a dual-core 2.26GHz processor and that is enough to put the competition to its knees, particularly Intel’s Core M processor, which is present in machines like as Surface Pro 4 and Surface Book. Despite the fact that iPad Air 3 will have a higher resolution, A9X will easily be able to push all those pixels around the 9.7 inch frame, assuming all of this turns out to be true. However, the obvious disadvantage that you will face while imminently purchasing an iPad Air 3 is that it will feature a smaller battery capacity, and the larger resolution on a small amount of real estate will obviously chew up more battery life, but with the promise of future software updates, this issue will be mitigated to a certain extent.

iPad Air 3 Case Images Appear: Promise To Deliver Similar Lines Of Productivity As iPad Pro Accessories

iPad Air 3 is expected to be announced during the month of March and according to our previous reports, the slate promises to deliver the same level of processing performance as the company’s 12.9 inch behemoth sized tablet, iPad Pro. Now, the latest leaked images show that Apple has intended its iPad Air 3 to be just as productive as the company’s largest tablet. Does that mean we will get to see its accessories as well?

iPad Air 3 Case Images Appear – No Sign Of A Stylus Though

iPad Air 3 is also being referred to as iPad 7; this could mean that Apple could dump the product name altogether now that it unveiled the 12.9 inch iPad Pro. However, there are several things that we noticed from these images and one of them happens to be cutouts from the accessory. There are four of them present at each corner of the cover, and due to way they have been made, they will obviously be meant for four speakers. Interestingly, it looks like iPad Air 3 can definitely be used as a multimedia powerhouse.

Additionally, the keyboard accessory looks identical to the one that Apple showcased during its 2015 announcement. It features a kickstand with a keyboard layout, suggesting that the upcoming slate can be used as a notebook substitute as well as a large screen device for entertainment purposes. That being said, it is possible that several 3rd party manufacturers are already getting down to producing their own keyboard accessory for iPad Air 3, so we will keep you informed on this front.

    Advertisements

As for the hardware specifications, the upcoming tablet is expected to sport the same screen size as its predecessors, with the only difference being that the product is going to sport a 4K display. However, it should be not be a big deal in terms of performance, because the A9 SoC we reported about earlier will be able to chew up anything thrown in its way, as indicated by the benchmarking results. The only drawback for the processor for pushing out all those pixels on the tablet’s 9.7 inch real estate is that it will take an enormous chunk out of battery life.

Sure, the SoC will definitely be able to render all those pixels, but with a resolution measuring at 3840 by 2160 pixels, we should expect that the slate should be incorporated with a very large battery capacity, unless of course Apple intends on producing an insanely thin tablet. We will keep you up to date with the latest, but for now, tell us what you think of the upcoming iPad Air 3.

More iPad Air 3 Schematics Show That We Might Be Looking At A Mini iPad Pro

Last time we reported something about iPad Air 3, the tablet’s case images were revealed, suggesting that the upcoming slate could very well be a smaller version of Apple’s iPad Pro. Here, we look at the schematics and see how far the tech giant will come in order to make that into a reality.

iPad Air 3 Schematics – Junior iPad Pro In The Making?

iPad Air 3 is expected to be announced during the month of March and according to our previous reports, the slate promises to deliver the same level of processing performance as the company’s 12.9 inch behemoth sized tablet, iPad Pro. Now, the latest leaked schematic shows that Apple has intended its iPad Air 3 to look near identical as the company’s largest tablet. Does that mean we will get to see its accessories as well? While that answer currently remains elusive, one notable thing that we did manage to catch our eye on was the fact that the slate might be incorporated with an LED flash, which will be advantageous when video calling in low-light conditions.
iPad Air 3 is also being referred to as iPad 7; this could mean that Apple could dump the product name altogether now that it unveiled the 12.9 inch iPad Pro. Additionally, there are four speakers present in total, indicating that iPad Air 3 can definitely be used as a multimedia powerhouse. As for the hardware specifications, the upcoming tablet is expected to sport the same screen size as its predecessors, with the only difference being that the product is going to sport a 4K display.

iPad Air 3 To Sport Smart Connector

It is possible that Apple could announce a plethora of products during the month of March; two of them being its iPad Air 3 and iPhone 5se. Now, the latest info suggests that the latest tablet from the tech giant will come incorporated with great features, and iPhone 5se will come with a brand new color model. Let us see what those new features are.

iPad Air 3 Will Have A Smart Connector And iPhone 5se To Sport A Rose Gold Edition

iPad Air 3 is expected to sport the same screen size at its predecessor; standing in at 9.7 inches, just like iPad Air 2. However, the primary difference will not only be present in the resolution department, but in the features column too. According to the latest source, the 9.7 inched slate will have a smart connector for a new line of iPad Air-optimized accessories. In our previous leak, we showcased the tablet’s keyboard accessory, suggesting that the product will have the same level of productivity as an iPad Pro. After all, being armed with an A9X means that you will have a ton of horsepower at your disposal and you will have to make use of it somehow.
Since the chipset is definitely a force to be reckoned with, it will have absolutely no problems pushing a 4K display, which is said to be the resolution present on iPad Air 3. Additionally, the tablet is also expected to sport 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM for a boatload of multitasking options.

New Report Suggests You Have Two Great Reasons To Purchase An iPhone 5se And iPad Air 3

While Apple has made sure that its software and hardware play harmoniously well together, here are two more reasons for you to purchase the company’s upcoming iPhone 5se and iPad Air 3.

Latest Report Suggests iPhone 5se Will Sport An A9 SoC, iPad Air 3 To Come With An A9X

Apple has shown time and time again why designing your own chips is definitely worth it, with its A9X benchmarks showing how a mobile SoC can duke it out with the big chips out there. Now another reason for you to own an iPad Air 3 is that it will be sporting the same powerhouse chipset that powered Apple’s iPad Pro. As for the company’s iPhone 5se, it will be rocking the same firepower present in iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus thanks to its A9 SoC.

The latest states that the smaller iPhone will have the same chipset, meaning that you will be able to experience the same level of performance on the miniature iPhone. The only trade-offs you will have to get used to are the obvious and natural drawbacks that come with owning a small smartphone, which are a smaller battery capacity and less pixels. While a smaller resolution might not be pleasing to the eye, it will give A9 more power headroom (not that it needed any), and will also put less strain on the battery.

Coming back to iPad Air 3, in our previous leak, we showcased the tablet’s keyboard accessory, suggesting that the product will have the same level of productivity as an iPad Pro.

As for iPhone 5se, it would be released in the same colors as its older brother iPhone 6s: Silver, Space Gray, Gold, and Rose Gold. While some sources have stated that the color is going to be referred as ‘bright’ or ‘hot’ pink, the texture is going to remain the same, so it will just be called Rose Gold. It will also provide support for Apple Pay (meaning it will have an NFC chip incorporated inside it), and a rear camera sensor equal to that of iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.
Looking at the hardware present inside the upcoming devices, we are thoroughly excited for the grand unveiling of both iPhone 5se and iPad Air 3? Are you guys excited?

iPad Air 3 Will Actually Be A 9.7-inch iPad Pro With Smart Keyboard, Apple Pencil Support

The iPad Air 3 will be branded as the ‘iPad Pro’ when it’s announced at Apple’s rumored March 15 event.

The iPad Air 3 Will Be Called The ‘iPad Pro’ When Announced At Apple’s March 15 Event

The iPad Air 2 is due for a refresh and reports flying around the Web suggest that the company is going to hold an event on the 15th of March to give its smaller tablet lineup a bump in specs, bringing to the masses a new 9.7-inch iPad Air 3. But according to a newly published report by none other than 9to5Mac, it seems as though the iPad Air 3 will be branded as the ‘iPad Pro’ and it will have smaller screen dimensions compared to its larger brother at 12.9-inches.
The smaller iPad Pro will have nearly identical features and specifications as the bigger model, bringing along the A9X processor and RAM upgrades from the 12.9-inch model. It will also include the 12.9-inch model’s updated display technology to support the Apple Pencil.

    Advertisements

The interesting thing about the new 9.7-inch iPad Pro will be that it is going to be nearly identical to the larger 12.9-inch offering and will pack in the same hardware as well, bringing the same amount of raw power to those who crave for it but in a smaller form factor. We really hope at this point that the 9.7-inch iPad Pro packs in those four way speakers for insane audio as well.
The report also goes on to suggest that Apple will be simplifying its tablet lineup as it moves into the future, with the 12.9-inch and 9.7-inch iPad Pro models being the flagship products, selling along with the iPad mini 4 as well as the iPad Air 2, the latter of which will see a cut in demand from Apple in terms of production, making room for newer products.
The iPad Air 2 is an old product in terms of age, released back in October 2014, but it packs a significant amount of punch in terms of muscle it packs under the hood. But despite all that, all things must meet their fate and need to be replaced with more advanced technology at some point in life, with the 9.7-inch iPad Pro being the ideal replacement for Cupertino’s long-standing tablet.
It will also be interesting to see how designers look at the new 9.7-inch iPad Pro, after all, it does feature Apple Pencil support for jotting down ideas and creating stuff on the go.
We’ll leave that pitch for the Apple marketing team for now though.

More 9.7 iPad Air 3 Images Leak Out – Will Be Just As Productive As The 12.9 Inch Slate

One of Apple’s monumental event is going to be held during this month, and with it, the announcement of the 9.7 inched iPad Pro. Before its imminent arrival, there are going to be a string of leaks surrounding either the tablet itself, or its accessory. On this occasion, let us see what new exciting new features will be present inside the upcoming powerful slate

Keyboard Accessory Connectors Of iPad Air 3 Show That You’ll Be Able To Carry Out Tasks The Same Way As You Did On Apple’s iPad Pro

According to Steve Hemmerstoffer, he’s not exactly sure what the upcoming product is going to be called, but he has a few hunches, and they have been listed below:

    • iPad 7
    • iPad Air 3
    • iPad Pro mini

Looking at the mammoth size of the 12.9 inch iPad Pro, it would obviously be a very good idea for the tech giant to introduce a smaller version sporting the same hardware specifications. According to our previous reports, iPad Air 3 will also sport a keyboard accessory much like an iPad Pro, allowing you to take advantage of tasks that you would not be able to take care of while using just your fingers. Additionally, it is expected that the upcoming slate will be packing as much RAM as the 12.9 inch powerhouse, indicating that Apple is not going to compromise over the hardware present inside the upcoming slate.

    #Apple #iPad #iPad7 #iPadAir3 #iPadProMini

Apart from its notable screen size difference, the upcoming iPad will also be rendering more pixels, because another report states that iPad Air 3 will have a 4K display. While the 9.7 inch screen could be pushing more pixels around the screen as opposed to the 12.9 inch beast, it will obviously be easy pickings for the company’s own developed SoC, A9X. The benchmarks of A9X are sufficient evidence to prove that it will effortlessly be able to tackle anything in its path.

So what do you guys think? Are you excited for the arrival of iPad Air 3? Let us know your thoughts below.
