iPhone SE has Qualcomm LTE modem

    Industry insiders confirmed
Contrary to our previous reports we got a tip that iPhone SE will continue using Qualcomm modems and not change to Intel.

The tear downs will start happening soon but our sources very close to the matter said with high certainly that all iPhone SE come with an updated Qualcomm modem.
Intel is still in the run but apparently Apple still felt confident to continue using Qualcomm even for this generation of the phone. A few analysts did suggested that iPhone 7 and beyond might get Intel LTE hardware, but not with iPhone SE.
Back in December, when we originally wrote that Intel got the iPhone SE deal, our sources did suggest that Apple can still change its mind if it doesn’t feel that Intel modem is ready. This might be the case, but in the future, we are quite confident that Apple will get a second LTE supplier at some point, just as it did with different manufacturing fabs.
Having two suppliers will drive the cost down, and for Apple every dollar or cent they save of components means millions more in its pocket. Apple claims “LTE up to 50 percent faster than iPhone 5s,” but it doesn’t give a real number. The iPhone 5S uses MDM9615 that was first introduced in 2011. This modem is at the technology range of Cat 4, X5 modem that Qualcomm ships in its entry level SoCs or as an external component.
    50 percent faster LTE

We will have to wait for the first teardowns to appear as it is not easy to get to “ LTE up to 50 percent faster than iPhone 5s.” You would need a modem that is capable of 225 Mbps and the next of potential candidates for the iPhone SE is the MDM 20nm 9x35. Qualcomm calls this modem X7 these days, it use to call it Gobi back in late 2014 and this is a Cat 6, 300 Mbit per second download and 50 Mbit per second upload capable chip.

The fact that Apple continues the exclusive deal with Qualcomm is bad news for Intel, but we are sure that the team blue will keep working on getting inside of iPhone.

iPhone SE Rakes Up 3.4 Million Pre-Orders Already? Is Apple’s Strategy Working?

Looks like producing a 4 inch iPhone SE worked beautifully in Apple’s favor, and these pre-orders will prove to deliver strong evidence as to why the tech giant has made smaller smartphones important in this world.

iPhone SE Reports Pre-Orders Of 3.4 Million In China Alone – Looks Like The Strategy Worked All Along

According to the following statistics, given below is a table showing which Chinese retailer garnered the most iPhone SE pre-orders.

Additionally, the gold version happens to the most popular variant in this region, with Rose Gold in hot pursuit.

Even with a 4 inch screen size, iPhone SE is every bit as powerful as its larger screen counterparts, iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus, thanks to its A9 SoC. iPhone SE Has A Different Camera Compared To iPhone 6s Plus

iPhone SE happens to be the most powerful 4 inch smartphone to be released right now, but there are several differences separating iPhone 6s Plus and this handset, starting with the camera.

iPhone SE Does Not Sport An OIS Chip – Same Is The Case With An iPhone 6s

According to Apple’s specifications sheet present on its website, iPhone SE might sport better battery life than its 4.7 inch cousin, but both of them are not incorporated with a hardware stabilization function. In the camera. Despite the fact that both of them feature a 12MP rear sensor, it is always a welcome feature to have an optical image stabilization chip present inside a smartphone.
Not only does the chip aid is preventing that irritating element of shake when you are attempting to snap images without blur, it is also aids in the same manner during video recording. Naturally, you have software stabilization features packed inside the camera app, but it is hardly as effective as having a hardware stabilization function in your camera.

Regardless on whether or not this feature is present, you can record 4K videos, along with capturing slo-mo videos, which will ultimately allow you to place your own edits after you have done recording. Another feature that the company has incorporated is allowing you to take a selfie with better image quality and reduced noise.

Intel not inside the iPhone SE

    Apple stuck with Qualcomm

One of the things that did not get noticed in Apple’s release notes for its rebadged iPhone5S is that the modem was not from Intel.

Intel had been expected to have its modem inside the “new” iPhone SE upsetting Qualcomm. But it looks like Intel’s new modem is a little too advanced for the iPhone SE.
Apple claims that the modems it has used in the SE provide LTE speeds in excess of 50 per cent more than the X5 modem it used in the iPhone 5S and has download speeds of up to 225 MPs. This would make Qualcomm’s X7 modem the likely candidate since it offers download speeds of 300 MPs and upload speeds of 50 MPs.
Intel’s modem was likely to be the Intel XMM 7260 or XMM 7262 slim modems with LTA Advanced support. Both modems support Cat. 6 LTE-Advanced, 22 bands at 300 Mb/s including world support.
It is not clear why Apple dropped Chipzilla. When our sources told us that Intel was getting the deal they said that the only way it could go pear shaped is if Chipzilla was very late on the making the modems. Rumours were that Intel was ramping up production so it did not seem that the modems would be late.
The news of Apple using only Qualcomm for its models came as a surprise to Wall Street analysts, who were expecting Apple to diversify its suppliers with a chunk of its modem business going Chipzilla’s way.

iPhone SE teardown reveals 'Frankenstein' mix of iPhone 5s, 6 and 6s components

Apple’s new iPhone SE goes on sale today. The curious offering seemingly mates iPhone 6s-class hardware with iPhone 5s styling but what’s actually going on under the hood? For that, we turn to Chipworks who recently performed a full teardown of the iPhone SE.
Jumping right into the internals, Chipworks found that the A9 powering the iPhone SE does indeed appear to be identical to the chip driving the iPhone 6s. The team also uncovered 2GB of LPDDR4 RAM from SK Hynix and 16GB of flash memory from Toshiba, likely made using the older 19nm manufacturing process.

Other iPhone 6s throwbacks include the 6-axis inertial sensor, a Qualcomm modem, NXP 66V10 NFC and audio ICs. The touch screen controller solution uses the same hardware that first debuted in 2011.
So, what’s new? The team found what it believes is a new Apple/Dialog power management IC, part number 338S00170 from Texas Instruments as well as a Skyworks SKY77611 power amplifier module, an AAC Technologies 0DALM1 microphone and an EPCOS D5255 antenna module.
In conclusion, Chipworks said there is still much to discover about the iPhone SE but it’s quickly becoming apparent that this isn’t your typical Apple release as there are very few new parts to speak of. That doesn’t mean the device lacks innovation, Chipworks said, as the genius of Apple and leader Tim Cook is the combination of all the right parts that make a successful product.
Chipworks said it will need to do some deprocessing to examine the silicon inside for a better understanding of the new components.

Apple iPhone SE Teardown Exposes Frankenstein Design Using Parts From Multiple Generation iPhones

Following months of rumors and speculation, Apple two weeks ago did what everyone pretty much expected it would, which was announce a smaller size iPhone model with modern guts. Dubbed the iPhone SE, it's not so much a new iPhone as it is a shrinkage of the iPhone 6s. Lest there be any doubt about this, a teardown analysis of the iPhone SE shows parts from multiple generation iPhones stuffed into a 4-inch body.

We're not saying there's anything wrong with that, we're just calling a spade a spade (or calling a fig a fig, as the Greeks used to say). In this case, the iPhone SE is a mash-up of iPhone 5, iPhone 6, and iPhone 6s parts, all neatly assembled underneath a 4-inch display for people who prefer the smaller size iPhones of yesteryear.

Big or small, getting into one of these suckers can be a little tricky. Apple hasn't been known to cater to the do-it-yourself crowd, and the iPhone SE is no exception. As is common among iPhone models, the iPhone SE is secured with those funky Pentalobe screws (boo!), though there's no adhesive holding the chassis together (hooray!).

One interesting thing the teardown folks at iFixIt discovered right off the bat was that Apple didn't equip the iPhone SE with a display gasket. It was surmised that its presence in both the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus suggested water resistance and/or structural reinforcement, and its absence here suggests it was for the latter.

The iPhone SE's display, which is "pretty much identical" to the one used in the iPhone 5s, comes off rather easily, making screen repair a less stressful task. So is replacement—the iPhone 5s display is plug-and-play compatible with the iPhone SE, including fitment, connectors, and functionality.

With the chassis separated into two halves, getting to the capacious 1,624 mAh battery is pretty easy. It's not technically user removable, but if you're comfortable opening up the iPhone SE, you should be able to swap the battery, should the need ever arise.

Digging deeper into the iPhone SE reveals a mix of parts and components found in other generation iPhones, like the Qualcomm MDM9625M LTE modem that's used in the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, and of course the custom A9 System-on-Chip (SoC).

The Frankenstein iPhone SE mustered a 6 out of 10 Repairability Score when all was said and done. It was dinged for a fussy Touch ID cable that could be easily ripped out of its socket and those pesky Pentalobe screws, and praised for making the display and battery easy to swap out.

iPhone SE: Can It Survive The Notorious Bend Test?

Bend tests have been made to show if a smartphone manufacturer jumped a few hurdles in compromising the overall build quality of its newly released product. On this occasion, Apple’s 4 inch iPhone SE goes through the same gauntlet that a myriad number of devices have gone through before. Can it survive? Looks like you will find out shortly.

iPhone SE Goes Through The Bend Test – Watch The Video Right Here

EverythingApplePro got its hands on the 4 inch powerhouse, and gets taken through the bend test. We are not going to deliver any spoilers to you other than the fact that the results are quite interesting. iPhone SE is every bit as powerful as its larger screen counterparts, iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus, thanks to its A9 SoC. It also sports a much better battery timing as opposed to iPhone 6s, as you will see when you read the total amount of hours you can rake from each device from the table. This will also depend on the kind of activity you are carrying out.

Another feature that the company has incorporated is allowing you to take a selfie with better image quality and reduced noise. How? After putting the iPhone SE through hell, torture test concludes it has some growing up to do

Apple’s new iPhone SE recently spent some time with the warranty experts over at SquareTrade for some torture testing. The results? The handset has some growing up to do.
In the deep water dunk test, the iPhone SE lost audio immediately and bricked in less than a minute. In comparison, the iPhone 6s survived a full 30 minutes (although it did lose audio) while the larger iPhone 6s Plus succumbed to the elements around the 10-minute mark.
After a 30-second stint in SquareTrade’s tumble bot, the SE sustained only minor scuffing on its corners. The iPhone 6s survived without damage while the larger 6s Plus came out with a shattered display.
Taking the testing outdoors, the team dropped Apple’s smartphone lineup face-down from a height of six feet. The screens on all three phones shattered on the first drop.
When dropped on its side from the same height, the iPhone SE’s screen started cracking and splitting after five drops. By the 10th and final drop, the screen’s right side had completely separated from the chassis. After 10 drops, the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus had only cosmetic damage when dropped on their sides.
Despite being thicker, the iPhone SE wasn’t very sturdy in the bend test. The new phone bent at 160 pounds of pressure which is 10 pounds less than the 6s and 20 pounds less than the 6s Plus. It reached catastrophic failure at 178 pounds.
All things considered, the iPhone SE earned a 5.5 medium risk rating, slotting between the iPhone 6s with a score of four and the iPhone 6s Plus with a score of 6.5 (the higher the score, the riskier the device).

iPhone SE Matches iPhones 6s In Performance, Tanks On Water And Drop Tests

Late last month, Apple reinvigorated its 4-inch form-factor with the release of the iPhone SE. Although everyone saw the device as an updated iPhone 5s, the design of the smartphone actually dates back to the iPhone 5, which was released in 2012. So why did Apple go back to its archives to resurrect a nearly 4-year old design and update it with modern internals? Well, Apple had to quell the Apple faithful that balked at the larger 4.7- and 5.5-inch iPhone 6/iPhone 6 Plus series of smartphones and it needed a cheaper device to appeal to customers at the lower-end of the market.

While the iPhone SE definitely cribbed some iPhone 6s goodness with its A9 processor, M9 Motion Engine and 12MP camera, the smartphone is still as fragile as its 2012 origins would suggest. SquareTrade decided to pit the iPhone SE against Apple current flagships in a series of durability tests, and the results weren’t pretty.
In water immersion tests, the iPhone SE was dunked under five feet of water while powered on. The smartphone immediately lost audio and was completely dead within a minute. The iPhone 6s Plus began malfunctioning while submerged after ten minutes and then quickly perished. The champ of the water test, however, was the iPhone 6s, which managed to survive a full 30 minutes underwater. The only casualty of its extended dive: the audio stopped functioning. Up next was the tumble test, which placed each smartphone into a box that is rotated at high-speed, causing the device to bang up against the interior walls. The iPhone SE walked away with a few scrapes on its exterior, while the iPhone 6s Plus met its match, resulting in a cracked display. The iPhone 6s again came out the big winner, exiting the box completely unscathed.

The face-down drop test proved to be a tough one for all three phones. The screens of all three smartphones cracked when dropped from six feet. However, the corner drop also proved to stymie the iPhone SE, as its screen cracked on the first test. The iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus, however, survived 10 corner drops with only cosmetic damage to the body and no screen damage.
The iPhone SE also came up short in bending tests compared to the flagship iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus.

Overall, SquareTrade gave the iPhone SE a Breakability Score of 5.5 (lower is better), representing a Medium Risk. The iPhone 6s scored better with Breakability Score of 4, also a Medium Risk. The iPhone 6s Plus actually faired the worst with a Breakability Score of 6.5, with its poor showing being chalked up to its massive size.
“In the end the iPhone SE may give you the smarts of a 6s in a 4-inch body, but you sure don’t get its durability,” SquareTrade explains. “The SE has some growing up to do.”

iPhone SE Costs Less Than $200 To Build – Base Model Retails For $399

iPhone SE, the 4 inch mobile powerhouse that has made smaller smartphones relevant again has definitely given encouragement to other manufacturers to pursue plans of mass producing smaller devices once more. However, as much as it is powerful, the handset itself does not cost a whole lot to be built.

iPhone SE Costs Just $160 To Build, According To Latest Report From IHS

According to recent teardown carried by IHS, the base model of the U.S. version of iPhone SE memory carries a total cost of $156.20 to make, which rises to $160.00 when the manufacturing cost is added. The retail price for this base model is $399, while the 64GB model carries a retail price of $499. According to Andrew Rassweiler, senior director of cost benchmarking services at HIS, he states the following:
“The iPhone SE represents an amalgamation of three iPhone generations — iPhone 5s, iPhone 6 and iPhone 6s — rolled into something altogether new. Despite its physical resemblance to the iPhone 5s, the resulting product is far superior. In fact, the only significant tradeoffs a consumer would make with the iPhone SE against the iPhone 6s is smaller size and lower screen resolution.”

According to a source, IHS estimates that Apple makes approximately $89 in incremental profit for each iPhone SE 64GB sold when compared with the iPhone SE 16GB. While the cost of mass producing an iPhone SE is definitely low, we also have to take into account other factors that go into packing such impressive hardware underneath its chassis, which range from research and development.

iPhone SE Retail Box Exposure Provides Alleged Subtle Design Details

iPhone SE has already become a popular product in China, with pre-orders mounting to 3.4 million already. Its other hardware is very impressive too; it is every bit as powerful as its larger screen counterparts, iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus, thanks to its A9 SoC. However, according to the latest leaked images courtesy of Chinese micro-blogging website Weibo, we have now gained additional insight regarding Apple’s iPhone 7 Plus and what is going to be present inside its shell.

We have already reported that Apple always introduces something new in its smartphones; with iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus, it was the company’s Force Touch tech and with iPhone 7 Plus, it is going to be the inclusion of the dual-camera sensor technology.

If you are wondering what happens when you incorporate a dual-camera module inside a smartphone, we have decided to provide you with a basic description along with a video posted below. When you are engaged engaged in capturing a video or a photo, users will be able to view the transition between both lenses seamlessly, tapping on a spot in the photo to zoom in with a second lens. Afterwards Apple’s cleverly designed system would work similarly to digital zoom does today. There will be one advantage to using this particular software; since users will be busy using a lens with a longer focal length instead of zooming in through software, it will result in no loss of detail when you zoom into the image.

Analyst Predicts iPhone 6s Duo Will Feature A9 Chip, And 12 MP Camera

Moreover, we also believe that iPhone 7 will come with 256GB of internal storage as its highest capacity model, along with a 3,100mAh battery, suggesting that iPhones coming in 2017 and 2018 will have even larger capacities. Furthermore, in an attempt to allay people’s fear that EMI waves are harmful for smartphone users, Apple will be incorporating an EMI shielding technology in iPhone 7.

Apple might also bring back the appealing factor back in its upcoming iPhones, so both iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus are expected to feature an ‘edge to edge’ display; the display will basically melt over to the sides, similar to what Xiaomi has done with its Mi5. 2016 is definitely going to be an exciting year for Apple’s iPhones, so tell us what you thought about this latest leak in the comments below.

iPhone SE launch weekend sales "lackluster," but iPad Pro proves popular

While the majority of reviews for Apple’s recent iPhone SE have been overwhelmingly positive, calling it the best 4-inch phone you can buy, the public reception has been slightly muted.
Apple’s been pretty quite when it comes to early sales figures for the new device, and that’s probably because - in the words of mobile analytics firm Localytics - they’re pretty “lackluster.” The company’s research shows that the iPhone SE grabbed a mere 0.1 percent of the iPhone market over its first weekend of sales.

This wasn't the only bad news for Apple. A recent CNBC report claimed that the new device was proving to be very popular in some overseas markets, and that orders for the phone had already topped 3.4 million units in China. However, KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo expressed doubt as to the accuracy of the claims.
Although there exists a market survey that indicates iPhone SE preorders top 3.4mn units in China, we couldn’t find more evidence to support this. However, judging by the delivery time for iPhone SE preorders, we believe initial demand for the iPhone SE following the announcement has been significantly lower than that of past new models. We believe this is due in part to lackluster demand for smaller-size smartphones and, more importantly, that the product itself offers no significant upgrades to form factor or hardware specs.
There are several possible reasons why the new iPhone may have suffered poor first-weekend sales compared to other iOS device launches. For a start, it was released on the same day that Tesla unveiled its Model 3 vehicle, which grabbed a lot of press attention. Also, the fact it is essentially a low-cost, four-inch, upgraded version of the iPhone 5s means it's targetted more toward emerging markets rather than the US. Finally, most Apple fans looking for a new smartphone will likely be waiting until September, when the iPhone 7 is due.
The recent iPad Pro 9.7-inch, on the other hand, did fairly well during its opening weekend. According to Localytics, it performed slightly better over its first few days than its predecessor managed last fall.

    iPhone SE demand outstripping supply

Apple's iPhone SE -- effectively an upgraded 5s -- wasn't full-blown hyped, but it seems to be selling like it anyway: demand for the 4'' device is outstripping supply as most stores are now posting stock-outs and delays, saying that new orders won't ship for as long as a few weeks from now. This includes both online and retail outlets (including Apple stores), not just nationally but internationally.

The fastest you get can one as of press time is April 12, and there you're likely limited to the smaller $399 16GB models. If you want a $499 64GB model, you'll have to wait until April 20-27. This is all assuming you're willing to pay for faster shipping, mind you.

The iPhone SE launched March 31.

iPhone SE Vs Boiling Water: Can The 4-Inch Smartphone Survive Such High Temperatures

After we covered the notorious bend test of Apple’s iPhone SE, it was time for the 4-inch iOS running device to go through yet another test. Boiling water is going to be used to see if iPhone SE should receive the title of being another durable handset.

iPhone SE Gets Taken For The Ride Of Its Life – Can It Survive Though? Let Us Find Out

Tech Rax got its hands on the 4-inch powerhouse, and gets taken through the bend test. As an added bonus for you guys, we are also going to place the bend test video over here so for those who have not seen the previous test can see it right here. In terms of performance, iPhone SE is every bit as powerful as its larger screen counterparts, iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus, thanks to its A9 SoC. Additionally, another perk of owning the smartphone is its rear camera sensor, which features a 12MP shooter that is able to capture 4K effortlessly.
How? When taking a selfie, the iPhone’s screen’s becomes three times brighter than its original state, allowing you to snap an accurate image, and not worry about quality loss. In our opinion, this is actually more effective than placing an LED flash, because on numerous occasions, the processed image will end up becoming brighter than what you were originally hoping for.

iPhone SE Has A Different Camera Compared To iPhone 6s Plus

Coming to the connectivity side of things, iPhone SE features an 802.11ac wireless adapter, making it three times faster than its predecessor, iPhone 5s. In addition, Apple has also placed a nifty feature called Wi-Fi calling, and for additional flexibility, there is also an NFC chip that will come in handy when using Apple Pay for contactless payments. Touch ID is present in the home button, and there is also a Bluetooth 4.2 module present.

Coming to one of the most important segments of iPhone SE, its price tag. iPhone SE comes with a $399 price for the 16GB model and $499 for the 64GB version, making it the most affordable, not to mention the most powerful 4 inch smartphone the tech giant has ever released. Additionally, you can choose to opt for a 24 monthly installment plan, which will allow you to pay $17 a month, which is a great solution for those who are unable to remove $399 immediately from their balance.

iPhone SE SIM-Free Version Sold Out In The US

The 4-inch iPhone SE announced by Apple has ended up becoming a huge success in the United States, as reports have stated that the SIM-free version of the smartphone has already been sold out.

iPhone SE Stock Is Expected To Replenished From April 12

Only selective models of iPhone SE are expected to be present in the United States to purchase from April 12, and some variants might not be able available to snag until April 20. In short, the $399 priced 16GB iPhone SE has more availability as opposed to the 64GB model, since it gives more storage freedom to consumers, and the fact that it’s practically an iPhone 6s crammed inside an iPhone 5s chassis, but priced for $499 that appeals to the consumer wanting to experience Apple’s mobile ecosystem. A rose gold 16GB model is expected to arrive on April 12, but for the 64GB storage belonging to Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile carriers, along with the SIM-free version; do not expect stocks to be piled at least until later in the year.

Several iPhone SE Users Reporting Audio Issues with Bluetooth Phone Calls

Apple launched iPhone SE at the end of last month, and over the past two weeks, a number of users have reported experiencing audio issues with phone calls using Bluetooth.
Tested each vehicle individually. Paired one, tested. Then did a “restore as new phone” and tested a different vehicle.
    No joy.

iPhone SE users reporting distorted audio quality over Bluetooth

Early adopters who went for Apple’s new 4-inch iPhone are experiencing issues with Bluetooth audio when their device is paired with a Bluetooth headset or a vehicle, or when they are taking a phone call. While users have reported that they can stream music over Bluetooth, GPS voice navigation remains affected for many. Several users have reported these issues on Apple Support Communities and claim that they are experiencing distorted or inaudible phone calls when using an iPhone SE over Bluetooth.
I actually had to return my SE back to Verizon because my Bluetooth calls reception quality was terrible. Playing music or YouTube videos through the Bluetooth was excellent but when it came to phone calls, the sound was constantly cutting in and out and sounded “scratchy” and distorted.

Never had this issue with my previous 6S or my work-issued Android phone. Tried my SE in a different vehicle and got the same results. I’ve unpaired and repaired and I even restored my SE and set up up as a new device but nothing has worked.
The issue appears to have attracted plenty of attention within Apple’s Support Communities, where one user even claimed that Apple is aware of the issue and is working on a fix.
I have been working with a high level support person who has assured me he is working directly with engineering. Apple has very much become engaged in this issue. They have had me do extensive testing of various conditions in order to document and troubleshoot. Further, there is an internal “Issue” board and tracking system for Apple support and this BT issue is on the top of the list. It was conveyed to me that this has become a very real issue internally and resources are now committed to its resolution.
The problem isn’t specific to any region, carrier or car model. Users from the United States, Germany, Sweden, Australia and other areas have reported this iPhone SE Bluetooth audio issue over iOS 9.3 and iOS 9.3.1, on vehicles sold by Audi, BMW, Chevrolet, Chrysler, Dodge, Ford, Toyota, Volkswagen, and many others. Those who are testing Apple’s latest iOS 9.3.2 beta, have suggested that the issue is still present in the OS.
One user said that he tried to reset the Network Settings, wiped the phone and set it up as a new phone, but still couldn’t fix the problem. Apple is reportedly working on a fix for this iPhone SE Bluetooth issue; we will update this post when a fix or a workaround arrives.

Apple’s iPhone SE has a Bluetooth fault

Networking technology, Apple has heard of it
You would think that releasing a knock-off of an earlier model would save you having a few technical hitches but it appears that the Apple’s iPhone 5C clone the iPhone SE has a fault with its Bluetooth function.

For those who came in late, Apple thought it would save a bit of time inventing something by releasing a version of the iPhone 5C with a newer chip called the iPhone SE. Of course it was touted as a cure for cancer and there were even claims that the smaller phone was back in fashion – which just goes to show that people don’t really think when they waste money on Apple gear.
But it seems that the iPhone SE did have one innovation that the iPhone 5C lacked, a crippled Bluetooth function. The problem occurs when trying to make calls via Bluetooth when paired to a wireless headset or with a car.
Apparently there were even rumours that Apple was going to recall the SE, something which is incredibly unlikely. A recall would imply that that the phone was faulty and everyone knows that Apple phones are perfect. In fact a similar Bluetooth feature was noted with the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus was released with iOS 8 and Apple fixed it with an upgrade to iOS 8.1. It would appear that Apple used the same software team on Bluetooth that it uses to design its clock software which fails to tell the time after daylight saving.
The Tame Apple Press has been assuring customers that Apple has escalated the issue because an increasing number of iPhone SE owners complained. That is news because Apple usually only puts out outdates months after the event and claims that only a small number of people were effected.
You will know if you suffer from this iPhone SE Bluetooth problem because it will either sound distorted during a call, or just inaudible. Of course most iPhone users would not think that it is phone that is at fault, just that their friend has a cold.
While some fanboys have been committing heresy on various web-groups wondering why Apple did not think to test their Bluetooth settings before releasing the expensive phone to the shops, others have followed the true way of appearing on such groups and claiming that they are unaffected.
