iPhone 5SE Is The Name Of The Elusive 4 Inch Smartphone From Apple? Latest Leak Shows

Only recently, we detailed a leaked video which showed you guys a smaller form factor of an iPhone, and it looked identical to its larger screen smartphone. However, the latest news we have come across is that it will sport a new name; iPhone 5SE

iPhone 5SE Is Going To Be Name Of The Upcoming Smartphone – Here Are Its Expected Hardware Specifications

According to the latest info, iPhone 5SE might be name of the upcoming 4 inch smartphone, but that does mean that the device is going to be changed when its hardware is concerned, or at least that is what we are hoping for. Coming directly to the hardware specifications, iPhone 5SE is going to sport the same A9 SoC that is present in iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus, indicating that you will be able to experience the same level of performance as you did on these devices. However, one thing we should add is that since it will feature a 4 inch form factor, we expect that iPhone 5SE will be rendering less amount of pixels compared to its larger screen counterparts, meaning that pushing less amount of pixels will give it more processing and graphics power headroom, resulting in better performance.

However, the only drawback to using a smaller iPhone is the natural disadvantages that come along with a smaller smartphone and that obviously strikes the battery capacity the most. While iPhone 6s had a 1,715mAh cell and the 5.5 inch iPhone 6s Plus had a massive 2,750mAh battery, we expect that iPhone 5SE is going to have an even smaller battery capacity. According to our previously reported leak, the upcoming smartphone is going to be incorporated with a 1,642mAh battery, but we are glad to see that the device is also going to be rocking 2GB of LPDDR4 RAM, assuming the leaked news happens to be true.
    Advertisements

However, it will not have the same 12.3MP rear shooter present on the earlier released smartphones, but a smaller 8MP one, along with a 1.2MP front camera sensor. While iPhone 5SE is expected to pack a slobber knocker of performance for just a 4 inch handset, one analyst is not too optimistic over the upcoming device, but we will still wait patiently for the imminent arrival of the device.
Are you excited for the announcement of iPhone 5SE? Let us know your thoughts in the polls below.

Alleged 4-inch iPhone Image Leak Resembles iPhone 6s

Apple’s alleged 4-inch iPhone has been in the rumor mill for quite some time. Rumors for a March or April launch of the smaller iPhone have caught heat while several reports have been emphasizing on its specs sheet and features. The existence of the handset has been proven in a new video that surfaced a few days ago, showcasing a near identical iPhone 6. More on the existent end can be judged by a new leaked image that shows the much anticipated iPhone alongside the iPhone 5 resting on a table.

Leaked Image Shows 4-Inch iPhone Alongside iPhone 5

The leaked image of the 4-inch iPhone was obtained by One More Thing via Gijs Raggers. The user has been sharing leaked photos of Apple products months before they were officially released. However, there is no confirmation that the leaked image of the alleged iPhone is indeed the forthcoming 4-inch iPhone by Apple. Nonetheless, the image poses similar form factor to the handset which was showcased in a video. Check out the video here.
Judging on the bases of the leaked image, we can see that the smaller iPhone does indeed sport a 4-inch display with a curved glass melting into the round metal chassis. Moreover, thinner bezels, pill shaped volume rockers, relocated FaceTime camera and the power button is also relocated to the right hand side of the device. The overall smaller form factor of the handset can be seen in the image, which is more or less the same size as the iPhone 5. The purported 4-inch iPhone looks almost exactly the same size as the iPhone 5 but boasts design variations similar to that of the iPhone 6 or 6s.

Internally, most rumors suggest that the smaller iPhone will feature upgraded specs, similar to that of the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus. Possibly, A8 and M8 chipsets with an 8-megapixel rear camera along with an NFC chip for Apple Pay support. The veracity of design that the leaked image poses, conflicts with previous rumors which suggested the forthcoming smaller iPhone will be closely similar to last-gen iPhone 5s. However, we would have to see it to believe it.
Other reports and rumors have also suggested that the 4-inch iPhone is to be called the ”iPhone 5se”. Furthermore, Ming-Chi Kuo of KGI Securities is also speculating launch of a 4inch iPhone and iPad Air 3 in the first half of 2016. A lot will be exposed in the March media event in San Francisco, so do stay tuned.
As for now, what do you guys think about the leaked image of the 4-inch iPhone? Let us know in the comments.

Small iPhones sail to Titanic disaster

    Analyst cuts sales by half

An analyst has cut his estimate of projected sales of the rumoured new 4-inch iPhone, reportedly called the "iPhone 5se," in half, from 18-20 million down to 10-12 million units.

KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said that the new 4-inch iPhone, as little new to offer, despite getting a lot of media attention.
"We don't regard the product as innovative, either in terms of form factor ... or hardware specs."
Kuo said that Apple will ship 43 million units, a decline of 44 per cent quarter-over-quarter and 29 per cent year-over-year.
The smaller iPhone will likely include an all-metal design but is otherwise as silly a move as the 5c, which had a plastic body but tanked.
“We see MacBook as a stronger candidate for becoming a theme given solid growth in the business segment, as well as a potential upgrade to hit the market in 1H16,” Kuo said.
In otherwords Apple is starting to regress to the days when all it had was its PCs and was so desperate for money it had to borrow off Microsoft.

4-Inch Apple iPhone 5se Listed With A9 Processor; Fresh Start For 4-Inchers?

Even though the next flagships from Apple aren’t due until September, the Cupertino company has still managed to stay a part of the rumor mill and the news. The smaller screened iPhone has been a part of the news ever since the company chose to launch the larger iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus way back in 2014. While we haven’t seen such a device from Apple so far, more and more sources keep on mentioning the 4 inch iPhone, which recently got dubbed as the iPhone 5se. Today some alleged specifications of the device have surfaced so lets take a look below at what we might get from Apple’s end this year.

The 4 Inch Apple iPhone 5se Now Said To Come With A9 Processor On Board

If the recent flow of information from the ever churning rumor mill stands true, then Apple might really be looking to vastly redefine the 4 inch iPhone lineup. Previous speculations about the device have listed it with the iPhone 6‘s A8 processor, but in all fairness at that time we were expecting the device to be launched alongside the iPhone 6s and the iPhone 6s Plus in September.
But as September didn’t see any focus diverted from Apple’s top tier flagship smartphones, new winds from the rumor mill now suggest that the iPhone 5se will now be coming with Apple’s A9 and M9 processor and co-processor respectively. These are the same pieces of hardware that the company launched the iPhone 6s and the iPhone 6s Plus with last year, but whether you’ll be able to access their full functionality on a smaller screen still remains to be known.

Several differences have been claimed for the iPhone 5se in terms of design, as you can see in the image above. Courtesy of Apple blog, OneMoreThing, it compares the first 4 inch iPhone with the alleged iPhone 5se and the differences between the two are clearly visible. Not only has Apple changed the design of the iPhone 5se (assuming the image is accurate) but key components around the device’s front have also been shifted around to lend it a distinct appearance that follows the current iPhone generation.
Aside from the processor and co-processor, the iPhone 5se is also reported to come with two storage capacities of 16 and 64GB. The presence of the Apple M9 on board also means that the device will most likely be featuring always on Siri as well. Today’s source reports that the device should be debuted by Apple in the second week of March, so there’s plenty of time left as of now. Till then, let us know what you think in the comments section below and we’ll keep you updated on the latest.

The 4 Inch iPhone 5se Has Entered Mass Production; Device To Target Emerging Markets

Even though the majority of our focus these days has been on the Android world, Apple’s 4 inch iPhone, now being dubbed as the iPhone 5se has also been a regular part of news. The iPhone 5se has been rumored to be under the works at Apple for quite a while, with the device having taken various names such as the iPhone 6c in the past. Today, we’ve got some more news about the device, so if you’re waiting for a smaller Apple smartphone with all the necessary performance specifications, head over below for some good news.

The 4 Inch Apple iPhone Has Already Entered Production; Will Aim Towards Emerging Markets

Apple has always chosen to focus on the high end, top tier niche when it comes to most of its products, including the iPhone. In fact, the company receives criticism, with claims about its devices being overpriced often being made. That hasn’t stopped Apple from targeting the segments it perceives to be the most profitable, put the current trend of the mobile market might just indicate that its time for a different approach from Apple’s end as well.
The previous attempt by the company to penetrate middle tier markets was the iPhone 5c, which failed to gain much traction, despite performing better than most in the sales department. Now, by the looks of things, Apple might be ready to try once again in the form of the iPhone 5se. Nikkei is now reporting that not only has the 4 inch iPhone entered production, but Apple will be using it to target emerging markets, such as India and China.
    Advertisements

With the company having reported its first loss, ever, this year w.r.t the iPhone, Apple should be looking at other areas where things can be expected to compensate. The smartphone market isn’t the same as it was a year back and with consumer tiring down from high end specifications, the mantra of the day for now appears to be budget devices.
The iPhone 5se has seen some rather interesting specifications surface so far, with the device expected to employ the Apple A9 and M9 for processing functions. If true, then this should end up placing the device nearly on par with the iPhone 6s and the iPhone 6s Plus in terms of performance, though other features such as 3D touch and camera capabilities to name a few should be expected to differ. The iPhone 5se is expected to be launched by Apple in March so till then, stay tuned and let us know what you think in the comments section below. We’ll keep you updated in the meanwhile.

Apple’s 4-Inch iPhone 5se May Come In Space Gray, Silver And Bright Pink

The potential release of the iPhone 5se is just over a month away and the rumors keep piling up for what the handset might look like. A new speculation states that the iPhone 5se may come in Silver, Space Gray and Bright Pink, which is different than the Rose Gold color found on the iPhone 6s. The information comes in from a Japanese website, Mac Otakara who received details from a third-party vendor.

iPhone 5se To Come In Bright Pink?

The iPhone 5se can potentially release at a March 15 event. The cited information compared the Bright Pink color with the iPod nano seventh-generation and the iPod Touch. Both of these iPods shared a much brighter pink color than the Rose Gold. The details are secondary information as no one has currently seen the Bright Pink color on the iPhone 5se. Henceforth, the exact color scheme of the handset remains unknown. However the vendor did mention that the color is not the same as the iPhone 6s.
Before the launch of iPhone 6s, we did hear that the smartphone will arrive in pink, however, it turned out that the pink color referenced was actually Rose Gold. Considering the current rumor to be true, the iPhone 5se could make a clear distinction between a Bright Pink and the Rose Gold.
Apart from the Bright Pink color, the source did not mention about any other color. However, the traditional silver and space gray might be part of it, but it rather seems to be an odd lineup with a standalone Bright Pink. It is possible that Apple will include other color options as well, just like the iPhone 5c.
    Advertisements

Since the potential unveiling of the iPhone 5se is a little more than a month away, we would probably hear more leaks and rumors about the 4-incher. This could include part leaks and other features as well. The forthcoming details would thus show a better picture of the colors that might be part of the release.
Right now, we have information that the iPhone 5se might be the same size as the iPhone 5s with the curved cover glass design similar to that of the iPhone 6. Moreover, the handset is expected to boast an A9 processor chip, Touch ID and an 8-megapixel camera rear facing camera. More information will be detailed as soon as it arrives.
This is it for now, folks. What do you think about the Bright Pink color on the forthcoming iPhone 5se? Would you give it a try once its here? Let us know in the comments.

iPhone 5se To Come With A Brand New Color Model

What About iPhone 5se, And The Remaining Products?

iPhone 5se would be released in the same colors as its older brother iPhone 6s: Silver, Space Gray, Gold, and Rose Gold. While some sources have stated that the color is going to be referred as ‘bright’ or ‘hot’ pink, the texture is going to remain the same, so it will just be called Rose Gold. iPhone 5se will sport the same A9 SoC, but thanks to its smaller screen size, it will have a smaller battery, and will push less amount of pixels on its 4 inch screen. It will however, provide support for Apple Pay (meaning it will have an NFC chip incorporated inside it), and a rear camera sensor equal to that of iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.
As for Apple’s upcoming wearable, dubbed Apple Watch 2, it is expected to sport a Space Black Watch with a Milanese Loop, along with new Sport Band colors, and a line of NATO-style nylon straps. So when can we see these latest slew of products? Sources claim that 15th of March is when Apple will be making its first grand announcement of 2016.

Are you guys excited for the new products? Let us know your thoughts right away.

iPhone 5se, iPad Air 3 Will Go On Sale March 18th

Apple’s rumored 4-inch iPhone 5se and the new iPad Air 3 will be hitting retail channels on the 18th of March, according to a newly published report.

The iPad Air 3 & iPhone 5se Will Be Announced On 15th March, Will Go On Sale On 18th

The new bit of information comes from 9to5Mac’s sources, and they say that the iPhone 5se and iPad Air 3 will be available to buy on the 18th of March, just three days after announcement on the 15th.
The report also says that the devices won’t be available for pre-order and you will be able to pick either one directly from an Apple Store directly on the 18th. But it’s quite possible that Apple’s plan could change as we approach the release day.
It’s very rare for Apple to make such a move – announce new hardware and put them up for sale soon after. In fact, Apple usually pulls off such a feat whenever it announces new Mac hardware, such as MacBooks, but when it comes to higher end products, the company usually gives the customer at least a 2 week space before it can actually be bought.
    Advertisements

The iPhone 5se is highly likely meant for users who aren’t willing to jump the gun and go directly for a 4.7 or 5.5-inch iPhone. Instead, it seems as though the Cupertino company is aiming to bring flagship features to a smaller device while also pushing the boundaries in terms of technology, as the iPhone 5se is rumored to feature NFC for Apple Pay while also bringing forth Live Photos and always-on Siri.

The iPad Air 3 on the other hand is a long overdue refresh, and it’s a tablet rumored to be made in the image of the iPad Pro, which is a 12.9-inch offering. The iPad Air 3 will of course sport a 9.7-inch display but will come with iPad Pro-esque hardware, such as a Smart Connector for connecting accessories, as well as the new four way speaker system, allowing for a truly immersive audio experience while listening to music or just watching a movie. The device is also rumored to feature support for the Apple Pencil, making the iPad Air 3 a great tablet for designers who want the characteristics of the iPad Pro but a portability of a smaller tablet.
We’re quite certain that there are a lot of details which are missing from the table and Apple will unveil them all on the 15th, so mark your calendars for that day as we’ll be covering each and every single announcement in great detail.

Two Prototypes Of iPhone 5se Were Tested By Apple And Here Is What They Look Like

Apple’s 4 inch iPhone 5se is scheduled to be released during the month of March and before its imminent arrival, here are a few details that you will definitely be interested in.

There Were Two iPhone 5se Prototypes Being Tested, According To Latest Mobile Schematic

According to Twitter user Onleaks, it looks like Apple was working on not one, but two iPhone 5se prototypes. If you look at the image carefully, you will see that the power button is back at the top of the phone, which will provide the necessary one-handed function. After all, you obviously do not want to see a device with a screen size of 4 inches, but having to carry out the most basic of tasks with two hands. There is large speaker grill present at the bottom as well, which is quite impressive for a 4 inch device, seeing as how majority of flagship devices released have a tiny single speak grill, which pretty much dismantles the whole entertainment experience (that is if you are not into using earphones or headphones).
The only drawback to using a smaller iPhone is the natural disadvantages that come along with a smaller smartphone and that obviously strikes the battery capacity the most.

While iPhone 5SE is expected to pack a slobber knocker of performance for just a 4 inch handset, one analyst is not too optimistic over the upcoming device, but we will still wait patiently for the imminent arrival of the device.

iPhone 5se would be released in the same colors as its older brother iPhone 6s: Silver, Space Gray, Gold, and Rose Gold. While some sources have stated that the color is going to be referred as ‘bright’ or ‘hot’ pink, the texture is going to remain the same, so it will just be called Rose Gold. It will also provide support for Apple Pay (meaning it will have an NFC chip incorporated inside it), and a rear camera sensor equal to that of iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.
Looking at the hardware present inside the upcoming device, we are thoroughly excited for the grand unveiling of iPhone 5se? Are you guys excited?

Apple's new 4-inch iPhone will likely ditch the '5' and arrive as the iPhone SE

Apple is widely expected to release a smaller 4-inch iPhone as early as next month. It is believed that the handset, often dubbed the iPhone 5se, will essentially be a clone of the iPhone 5s Apple released in 2013 but with modern (faster) internal hardware.
Sources reportedly familiar with the matter are now telling 9to5Mac's Mark Gurman that Apple has decided to drop the "5" from the handset's name and focus on the special edition moniker, thus calling the device the iPhone SE.
If true, it would be the first iPhone since the original to arrive without a number in its name.
From a marketing standpoint, it actually makes a lot of sense for Apple to ditch the digit with this phone. Launching a "new" iPhone followed by the number five when the latest models carry the "6" suffix implies that it's a technological step backwards (which is technically somewhat true). Those in tech circles would likely know better but the average consumer that doesn't lust over hardware like the rest of us would almost certainly be left scratching their heads.
The new iPhone SE is expected to replace the existing 5s in Apple's lineup and assume the same price point. The handset will probably be powered by Apple's A9 SoC alongside an M9 chip and feature an 8-megapixel rear camera, NFC for Apple Pay, Live Photo capabilities and the company's latest Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and cellular hardware.

KGI Speculates The iPhone 5’SE’ To Feature A9 And Cost $400

There have been quite a handful of rumors whirling around the much anticipated 4-inch iPhone. While some of them reflects a refreshed iPhone 5/5s with upgraded internals, others stick to keeping iPhone 6s-like form factor. Moreover, the name of the 4-inch iPhone have also been quite a highlight amongst ample rumors. Gawking at a little history, the smaller iPhone corresponds to the names including, the iPhone 6c and iPhone 5e, while the most recent is the ‘iPhone 5SE‘ based on it being a ”special edition” of the iPhone 5s.

Apple To Ditch The ‘5’ In iPhone 5SE; To Feature A9 And 12MP Rear Camera

Now, according to reports from 9to5mac, the name iPhone 5SE has been changed, and it SEems that Apple is looking to ditch the ”5” from the title. This suggests that the rumored 4-inch iPhone is to be called the ”iPhone SE”. There’s a legit reason why the company could have dropped the ”5” from the title. According to the publication, the company does not want the consumer to get confused with the iPhone 5, with the iPhone 6 lineup since it’s being replaced by the iPhone 7 later this year.
Moreover, since the name does not have a numbered digit in it, it would potentially exclude itself from the yearly iPhone update cycle. Moreover, the source believes that the iPhone SE would simplify the iPhone cycle. Recent rumors about the 4-inch iPhone suggests that the device would be identical to the iPhone 5s, however the display is said to feature a slightly curved glass like the iPhone 6 and newer.

    Advertisements

Moreover, Ming-Chi Kuo of KGI Securities issued a research note to investors in which the forthcoming iPhone SE is said to come with a 12-megapixel rear-facing camera instead of an 8-megapixel sensor which was rumored previously. As for the specs, the device is said to boast A9 and M9 chips along with NFC for Apple Pay. However, 3D Touch would remain exclusive to the iPhone 6s and its bigger variant. Nonetheless, support for Live Photos is also rumored with a battery capacity of 1,642 mAh.
Kuo believes that Apple’s smaller iPhone would be priced between $400 to $500. This would ultimately allow the company to cater mid-range competition in the emerging markets. The device is expected to be announced at a rumored March 15 media event alongside the 9.7-inch iPad Pro and the Apple Watch with minor upgrades.
This is it for now, folks. Do you still use a 4-inch smartphone? Would you be willing to give the iPhone SE a try once its here? Share your thoughts in the comments.

The iPhone 5se Sees Display Images Surface With No 3D Touch; Demand Expected at 12 Million

As we head towards March, the buzz surrounding Apple’s upcoming event is slowly starting to increase. We’ve started to see schematics, specifications and fresh rumors surface recently that provide more validity to potential upcoming launches. The iPhone 5se has seen blueprints and specifications surface so far, which confirm that the device will indeed be coming with the Apple A9 on board. As far as the iPad Air 3 goes, according to sources the tablet will be seeing a revamp in the form of a smaller iPad Pro.

Latest iPhone 5se Parts Leak And Speculation Suggest Apple’s Got High Hopes

When it comes to the smaller iPhone, we’ve been hearing rumors of such a device for well over a year, with the rumor mill refusing to give up hope on the device. Apple’s decision to increase screen sizes on its flagship smartphone lineup was a major one, given the long standing resistance to the trend initiated by the Android world.
So naturally, a lot of the company’s long time users felt alienated with the launch of the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus and right on cue the rumor mill began buzzing with rumors for the 4 inch screen’s return. Given the state of things, the probability of such a device seeing the light of day is highest at Apple’s event in March as some highly credible sources have began to provide consistent information on the matter.
That being said, KGI securities has been quite busy today, with some information from the firm having surfaced earlier today as well. According to the latest, not only will the iPhone 5se be dubbed as the iPhone SE (something which we’d expect given Apple’s preference for the minimal), but it’ll also be coming with a 12MP rear camera and the A9 on board. In fact, now, KGI’s claiming to investors that mass production for the device has started already and expects shipments to reach 12 million.
    Advertisements

Right on time, we’re also seeing some alleged internals of the iPhone SE surface which confirm that the device won’t be coming with 3D Touch on board. If you take a look at the first image in this post, you’ll see the alleged display for the iPhone SE stacked against that of the iPhone 6s. The components required for 3D Touch are absent, as we should rightly expect.
Apple shouldn’t be expected to launch 3D Touch on the iPhone SE even if the device sees a March launch with the claimed specifications. Progress on the device in the rumor mill has been steady and its the only reason we’d say that be on the lookout for a 4 inch iPhone at the company’s event in March.
A 4 inch iPhone would please a lot of old time Apple users and if successfully launched, could end up increasing the company’s global smartphone shipments as well. The last small screened device from the company was the iPhone 5s so perhaps its time to breathe some fresh air into the lineup. Thoughts? The iPhone SE And Next iPad Delayed To March 22nd Report Sources

With the Android flagship launches of Q1 2016 all being done with, its time for the mobile world in general to focus towards Apple’s upcoming event. Its expected to break a long held company tradition of making smartphone launches only in September, with the launch of the iPhone SE. The smaller screened smartphone from Cupertino has been in the news for more than a year and as we’ve seen so far, the rumor mill hasn’t disappointed so far.

Apple’s March Event Now Postponed A Week Ahead; Three Weeks Until Anticipated Launches

In a smartphone world where larger screens have become the standard, rumors surrounding an upcoming 4 inch iPhone from Apple do make things quite interesting. The company’s previous attempt to launch a middle tier iPhone didn’t go quite well, and with the iPhone SE we’re expecting a much different approach this time around.
With the iPhone SE, as the latest speculation has even suggested a new name for the device, Apple will bring the A9 on board the smaller device, coupled with a 12MP rear camera; in an offering that should attract a lot of consumers who prefer a small device but with up-to date hardware specifications. In September however we should get to see the A10 on board the iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus, leaving this advantage rather short lived.

    Advertisements

In addition to the iPhone SE, we’ve also been hearing about a changed iPad Air launch in March. According to sources, rather then launch the iPad Air 3, Apple will instead be launching a 9.7 inch variant of the iPad Pro. Such an approach should simplify the iPad lineup but fans of the iPad Air should be disappointed to see the lineup continued. The iPad Air 2 marked a high point for Apple’s tablet launches and design in general, with the device heralded widely across several segments.
The date for the March event where both the devices are expected to debut has now been shifted a week ahead, to the 22nd, according to sources out of Korea. The earlier date was provisional its being reported and Apple has finally arrived at a final date according to the latest. Of course, until the company sends out invites, there’s nothing which can be said for sure, so we’d advice to take things with a grain of salt as of now.
Nevertheless, March sounds like an interesting month for Apple fans in general as it would be interesting to see the company’s approach on the much hyped about iPhone SE. Thoughts? Let us know what you think in the comments section below and stay tuned for the latest.

New 4-Inch iPhone is Apparently Much Cheaper

There’s been a deluge of rumours regarding Apple’s upcoming 4-inch handset, and its purpose in the current market place. Theoretically, the “iPhone SE” is designed to be a replacement for the iPhone 5s launched in 2013. It’s not a major change, but a basic revamp to offer more options to consumers who prefer a smaller model. Sources indicate that the new device will sport an almost identical aesthetic design to the iPhone 5s with slightly curved edges. However, the internals have been enhanced and should include an A9 processor, Apple Pay and Live Photos functionality.
According to KGI Securities, the iPhone SE incorporates an impressive 12-megapixel camera, and targets the $400-$500 price point. This is a surprisingly affordable price and suggests Apple is trying to forge a position in the mid-range sector. This would greatly broaden the device’s appeal and allow consumers with a smaller budget to own a brand new iPhone. Apple also intends to drop the iPhone 5s price by a whopping 50 percent to help shift units. KGI estimates 131 percent growth in 4-inch iPhone shipments to around 37 million units in 2016. Although, they predict most of these sales stem from the iPhone 5S after large discounts. Apple is expected to launch the iPhone SE at an event on March 16th as well as a new 9.7-inch iPad Pro.
Apple devices always have a price premium and their previous attempt to offer a budget-orientated model with the iPhone 5c was flawed. This is because the 5c’s price wasn’t significantly cheaper and evoked a poor feel. To be successful, Apple needed to create a large pricing gap between the two handsets. On the other hand, the iPhone SE looks very interesting and suggests a change in attitude from Apple. Despite this, there’s a huge amount of competition from Samsung, HTC, LG and other Chinese manufacturers. Although, Apple has this knack of enticing large numbers of people to purchase their products.

These iPhone SE Design Concepts Are Based On Leaked Schematics And Details – Images

It seems as though the iPhone SE is all set for an announcement later this month, if leaked reports are to be believed. And strangely enough, it’s happening after a long, long time that we’re cunningly close to an iPhone launch and it’s unclear what the to-be announced device would look like. But, different leaked images have suggested the possible routes Apple might take in terms of design, and one mockup artist took the liberty to give all of them (three to be precise) the proper 3D treatment, giving us a clear glimpse of what the iPhone SE might end up looking like.

iPhone SE Mockups Based On Leaked Details Look Stunning – Which One Apple Will Ultimately Announce?

Three in total, the iPhone SE mockups are based on leaked images coming from three different sources (you can check them out here, here and here). The first iPhone SE mockup is believed to sport a design that is strikingly similar to the iPhone 5s. The second one is a 4-inch version of the current iPhone 6s. Whereas the third one is a hybrid of the first two.
Rather than describing all of them in carefully chosen words, let’s jump straight into what Martin Hajek has conjured up.
    iPhone SE Mockup Gallery

All of the designs, nonetheless, look brilliant in a lot of ways. And if you’re asking for a personal opinion, I’m more sold towards the mockup that looks like a smaller version of the iPhone 6s. While Cupertino’s new flagships do get a lot of hate for being too ‘slippery’ in the hand, thanks to its curved sides, but one has to admit that it gives the smartphone an extremely slick profile.
    Advertisements

The iPhone 5s-esque design has its own perks as well. For example, the squared off edges gives the device an extremely firm grip, ensuing that the smartphone doesn’t slip out of hand during usage. But at the same time, the design feels ancient when compared to modern devices out there.
The hybrid design, combination of the above two, while looks great, seems a little out of place when compared to the entire Apple portfolios of mobile devices. I would personally give it a half thumbs down.
It remains to be seen which design Apple will go with. But our gut feeling suggests that the device will look like a smaller version of the iPhone 6s. We could be wrong here, so let’s leave the unveiling and detailing part to Apple.

iPhone SE Retail Box Exposure Provides Alleged Subtle Design Details

By the looks of things so far, it seems like things are getting finally getting serious on the iPhone SE. The 4 inch smartphone from Apple might finally materialize this March after being a consistent part of the rumor mill for over a year. The iPhone SE, or the iPhone 5 SE, according to today’s image will be quite an impressive offering indeed. If Apple manages to execute the rumored launch successfully, then we’re likely to see an increased interest build up around the main iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Pro launches expected to take place in September.

The iPhone ‘5’ SE Surfaces In Alleged Retail Box Image; Subtle Differences On Board

By the looks of things so far, Apple’s taking a different approach on the iPhone 5 SE than it did on the iPhone 5c; the device’s ill-fated predecessor. While the iPhone 5c wasn’t a failure in terms of sales, a couple of design decisions, such as using plastic as the build material contrasted sharply with the premium approach which the company generally takes with its gadgets.
The iPhone 5 SE, as the retail box suggests, will take a more top tier approach to the smaller device. Specifications for the device until now include the Apple A9, coupled with 1 GB of RAM and a 12MP rear camera sensor. These put the device par with most smartphone flagships out there, including Apple’s own iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus.
While there’s no way of confirming that the device shown in the image above is the iPhone SE, or even an actual device, it does give us some details on what to expect from the smartphone.

    Advertisements

The current impression around the iPhone SE suggests that it should resemble the iPhone 5s in most aspects, today’s image and general feeling in the rumor mill claim slight changes on board. We might see a slight screen size increase from the rumored 4 inches as well, as the power button seems to be located at the side of the device in the leaked retail box.
In addition to this, looks like Apple has managed to integrate the proximity sensor with the iPhone’s earset, and shifted the front camera on its left. Overall, the device gives a sleek appearance, with overall form similar to the iPhone 5 and the iPhone 5s. Subtle details also show around Touch ID, though this might be because of the angle and lighting conditions of the image.
Given that the iPhone 5 SE is rumored to be coming on the 22nd of this month, its not unlikely at all that things have been finalized over at Apple. But until Cupertino goes ahead and launches the device, we’d advise you to take things skeptically. Thoughts? Let us know what you think in the comments section below and stay tuned for the latest.

Apple iPhone SE Case Leaks Provide Limited Design Confirmation As Company Event Approaches

Apple’s upcoming March event has started to see a lot of rumors and information surface w.r.t the company’s expected product upgrades. We’ve been hearing quite a bit about an all new iPad and a smaller screened iPhone, with both devices to change how the Cupertino manufacturer’s product lineup is managed.
A smaller iPhone would mark a much needed break from top tier, flagship approach which Apple has consistently followed up to now, and a smaller iPad Pro might just effectively discontinue the iPad Air lineup all together. Today, we’ve managed to get our hands on some alleged renders of the iPhone SE, so take a look below to find out more about Apple’s plans this March.

Case Renders Of The Apple iPhone SE Corroborate Earlier Information Partially

We’ve heard quite a lot about the upcoming iPhone SE from Apple courtesy of the rumor mill, and by the looks of things so far, the device should be a nice balance between top tier specifications combined with a much less serious approach towards flagship performance.
Current information pegs the iPhone SE with the Apple A9, a 12MP rear camera, combined with allegedly 2 GB of RAM. These put the device right on par with the company’s current iPhone 6s, so looks like Apple just might be really eager to counter its alleged dwindling iPhone popularity in the market.
That being said, today’s case renders confirm that the iPhone SE should be expected with a design that’s mostly similar to the one found on the iPhone 5 – the first iPhone launched by Apple under Tim Cook as CEO. We’re expecting a similar placement for the rear camera, coupled with the device’s power, volume and hold buttons, which you can take a look in today’s case images.
    Advertisements

Some other features on the iPhone SE include Touch ID compatibility and upgraded display specifications, though exact details on the latter haven’t surfaced so far. Display resolutions are one feature that Apple’s has come under fire for recently; given the Cupertino manufacturer’s stubbornness to enter the race which primarily dominates the Android ecosystem.
The launch of the iPhone SE would also make it the first device receiving a third go from Apple as far as generational design approaches are considered. The company generally launches two device generations following a similar design approach, and the iPhone SE would be the third in its category, after the iPhone 5 and the iPhone 5s, launched in 2012 and 2013 respectively.
So whether you’re interesting in the smaller screened iPhone from Apple or not, the company’s upcoming event in March sure has some expectations attached to it. We’ll keep you updated as this develops. Till then, stay tuned and let us know what you think in the comments section below.

Can’t Wait For An iPhone 5SE? Now, You Can Purchase A Complete Knock-Off

It’s appalling to see how quickly Chinese manufacturers are able to mass produce knock-off a smartphone of the original device and case in point is Apple’s upcoming iPhone 5SE.

If You Cannot Wait For The Original iPhone 5SE, There Is Always A Knock-Off That You Can Invest In

iPhone 5SE is expected to be announced during Apple’s event, which is going to be held on the 21st of this month. In addition to showcasing the company’s powerful 4 inch handset, the tech giant is also expected to showcase its 9.7 iPad Pro, which at this point features several names. Previously, we reported that Apple was already testing out prototypes of its iPhone 5SE.
These reports suggest that power button is back at the top of the phone, which will provide the necessary one-handed function.

There are images of the knockoff handset given below and we are not sure if the device looks near identical to the upcoming one, but we can sure of one thing; iPhone 5SE is going to be identical to iPhone 5s, so it appears that the Chinese hit the nail on the right spot as far as aesthetics, design and dimensions go. The obvious drawback of owning a 4 inch iPhone 5SE is that despite its powerful hardware, there are natural disadvantages that come along with a smaller smartphone and that obviously strikes the battery capacity the most.
    Advertisements

While iPhone 6s had a 1,715mAh cell and the 5.5 inch iPhone 6s Plus had a massive 2,750mAh battery, we expect that iPhone 5SE is going to have an even smaller battery capacity. According to our previously reported leak, the upcoming smartphone is going to be incorporated with a 1,642mAh battery, but we are glad to see that the device is also going to be rocking 2GB of LPDDR4 RAM, assuming the leaked news happens to be true.

However, it will not have the same 12.3MP rear shooter present on the earlier released smartphones, but a smaller 8MP one, along with a 1.2MP front camera sensor. While iPhone 5SE is expected to pack a slobber knocker of performance for just a 4 inch handset, one analyst is not too optimistic over the upcoming device, but we will still wait patiently for the imminent arrival of the smartphone.

Latest Vote Percentage Shows iPhone 5SE Is Not Be A Popular Phone

iPhone 5SE is expected to announced on March 21, but unlike its larger screen counterparts, iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus, the upcoming device has already garnered an unpopular voting percentage.

Only 22 Percent Of Consumers Would Prefer To Exchange Their Old Phones For An iPhone 5SE

According to the latest survey carried out by web platform Branding Brand, iPhone 5SE is not going to be a popular smartphone at all because only 22 percent of consumers have stated that they would be willing to trade in their old smartphone for the upcoming 4 inch handset. The remainder of the survey states that 78 percent have no interest in investing in an iPhone 5SE.
The obvious drawback of owning a 4 inch iPhone 5SE is that despite its powerful hardware, there are natural disadvantages that come along with a smaller smartphone and that obviously strikes the battery capacity the most.

While iPhone 5SE is expected to pack a slobber knocker of performance for just a 4 inch handset, one analyst is not too optimistic over the upcoming device, showing that he might have been right all along regarding the small screen sized handset.

It is possible that consumers might not be thrilled to see a smaller, yet powerful version of an iPhone 6s or iPhone 6s Plus be announced, but the Cupertino tech giant could experiment with a smaller price tag. Additionally, if the company is willing to bring in an appropriate exchange program, it will allow more consumers to become susceptible to the offer. However, we strongly hoped that Apple should have just announced the smartphone during its 2015 announcement.
Would you guys be willing to invest in a 4 inch iPhone 5SE? Let us know your thoughts and views in the comments below.
