    Nioh [PS 4]

Nioh To Launch On PlayStation 4 In The West This Year, Alpha Demo To Launch This Month

The action role playing game Nioh, now in the works by Team Ninja, has been in development for quite a long time, but it seems like we’re starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel, as it’s been confirmed a few hours ago that the game will be released this year on PlayStation 4 in the West.

In a new post on the Official PlayStation Blog, Overseas Team NINJA producer Peter Garza has confirmed that Nioh is going to be released exclusively on PlayStation 4 this year. General producer Kou Shibusawa also shared some words on the upcoming release of the game.
“Now, finally, Nioh — a game created with the entire power of Koei Tecmo — will be released in 2016. In appreciation to all the fans who have waited so long, and in order to have gamers everywhere try Nioh as soon as possible, we will release the Alpha Demo this month. We hope you enjoy overcoming the challenges in this masocore take on samurai action — Nioh.”

If you really cannot wait to get your hands on Nioh, you will be happy to know that an alpha demo is going to be made available later this month. From April 26th until May 5th, players will be able check out the Nioh gameplay experience firsthand, as well as receive an exclusive DLC pack called The Mark of the Conqueror for the final release if they manage to complete a stage of the alpha demo.

Nioh launches on PlayStation 4 sometime this year in all regions. We will keep you updated on the game as soon as more comes in on it, so stay tuned for all the latest news.

'Nioh' Gameplay Demo Available April 26-May 5

After 10 years in game development limbo, Team Ninja’s Nioh is finally launching on the PlayStation 4. The PS4-exclusive game is coming sometime in 2016, but developers want to give fans a sneak peek at the game with an alpha demo.

    Nioh Alpha Demo Announcment Trailer
Based on the demo trailer, it seems that you will be able to fight both humans and otherworldly creatures. The game also prides itself on its authentic samurai combat, and you’ll be able to see it in action. In addition to the traditional samurai sword, you’ll be able to eviscerate foes with a spear or flatten them to the ground with a large hammer. If ranged combat is more your style, you can use the bow and arrow. There are also apparently some magic elements in the game, as some scenes depict you summoning a shark and a cute little dog.

If you do manage to clear a stage of the demo, you’ll be rewarded with “The Mark of the Conqueror” DLC for the final game. However, the demo is available for a limited time. You can play it from April 26 through May 5.
After nine years, Nioh was presented last year at the Tokyo Game Show. The game was supposed to be a PlayStation 3 title, but it never came to fruition. At PlayStation Experience, Team Ninja announced that the game was coming to Western audiences, as well. The PlayStation 4 version is supposed to launch at some point this year with updated graphics.

Nioh Will Feature Dismemberement In The Western Release

Nioh, the interesting action role playing game currently in development by Team Ninja for PlayStation 4, is promising to be one of the darkest games releasing this year, thanks to a very unique atmosphere and brutal gameplay experience. It looks like, however, the Western version of the game is going to be even more brutal than anticipated thanks to a feature that will be exclusive to it.

A few hours ago, Team Ninja has confirmed on YouTube in the comments sections of the Nioh Alpha Demo Announcement trailer released last week that the Western release of Noah will feature dismemberment. This is great news for fans of the Ninja Gaiden series, who are used in seeing limbs getting cut off quite frequently.

Later this month, players all over the world will be able to try out Nioh for themselves thanks to the game’s Alpha Demo. The Alpha Demo will be available from April 26th until May 5th and it will also grant an exclusive DLC pack for the final release called The Mark of the Conqueror is they manage to complete a stage of the alpha demo. Considering Nioh has been heavily influenced by the Souls series, this most likely won’t be an easy feat.
Nioh has been in development for quite some time. A few months ago, Koei Tecmo President Yoichi Erikawa has shared more on the game’s troubled development, revealing that the current Nioh is only the latest of the game’s iteration. At some point, the game heavily resembled the latest Ninja Gaiden games and the team eventually decided to star over from scratch, desiring to create some different.
